Ibisco

This inexpensive perfume never ceases to amaze me :) I have a difficult relationship with patchouli and musk, but here they do not seem to be at the forefront. I love balsamic fragrances and this one fits the bill perfectly. It is extremely well blended, pleasant to wear, and lasts long. During hot summers its lemony side shines through, but then in cooler weather, it is all aromatic and balsamic. Absolute love! P.S. 11/03/2021: wearing it the next day after my beloved Dune by Dior, I realized how much they resemble each other. Well, they are not similar by any means, but they do share the same mood and that dry beach-y-hot-dune smell. No wonder I love them both! :)

I really enjoyed this perfume! I would put it in the same category with L`Erbolario's Papavero Soave, however not as sweet! It's a wonderful floral fragrance, strong without being too heavy or overwhelming. More of an evening scent, than daytime. It's exotic and warm - could totally imagine wearing it in cooler seasons. A very unique smell. If you have the opportunity, do try it!

I'm totally addicted! "Ibisco" is melting on my skin and it's really mystic scent. I have the body milk which has a little difference, it's not exactly the same like the parfume /which is balmy/. It's more sharp in the beginning, maybe because of the ginger.

I can definitely see why people want to compare it to Opus (though to me that one is much more balanced and rounded and softer, lemon chiffon) and certainly the lighter iterations of Shalimar. To me, being a Shalimar freak and having vintage EDP from the 50's and on up, this is pretty harsh. I also remember buying a Shalimar on EBAY that was "vintage," (my one very sad purchase that was a total dupe) and it was sealed, but the juice was a different color, and the smell was way off. This is what it smelled like. However, because this is a "different juice"--I'm going to just appreciate it on its own. To me, it is a much more orange/lemon forward scent. Elemi which others are noting has a more dry and resinous quality and I am not picking it up, but some ginger is there, definitely the ylang and a low key vanilla. It is indeed lighter and more summery, and I think may stand up well in heat. I had not looked up what kind of company this is, but, I'm glad that it is a scent with a conscience.

I bought this one friday, with the body lotion. I like it a lot and I feel it similar to Shalimar Parfum initial...not egual, more simple but similar. Ibisco is a little spicy, sweet beautiful summer scent, and in Italy it's cheap, I get the 50ml for €20.
