Il Profumo dei Piccoli

Got the poetic, vintagey splash bottle - not the above pictured one. The aquarelle painting on the bottle illustrates so well that secure feeling of familial love you get from the EDT: a toddler and his older sister, watching a sailing ship on the sea horizon. You can almost feel the gentle, marine breeze. So happy I have that old version! The floral combination renders a fruity character, where juicy pear and soft pear blossoms notes dominate. The flower hydrolats seem to be made of delicate, young petals. Such a calming, tender, delicate scent! Since there’s no alcohol and the juice is very very quiet, longevity is only a swift passing by. It’s meant originally to be used on babies after all.

A beautiful perfume... I remember the moment, on a stressful day in Rome Italy, when I sprayed this perfume on my wrist, and got lost in an invisible cloud of a calming floral blend. My heart started beating of happiness because I finally found the perfume I always longed for, without really being aware I missed it so much. This perfume has the l’erbolario “trademark”, which I love.. it’s in their face creams, in some of their soaps, it’s something so magical about it, I cannot explain it. If I was to try to explain it I would say it’s old paper mixed with dried herbs and something sweet. I have never come across another brand with this characteristic scent. What I love about “il Profumo dei Piccoli” is that when you spray it, it leaves the bottle in the form of white milk, so that you can easily distributarie the product with your fingers. The milky consistency suits well to the fact that it is a baby perfume, it can’t harm you or your baby when you spray it but it’s gentle and mild. The orange blossom here is not overpowering at all, the chamomile isn’t either. The orange blossom, the chamomile, the marigold and rosemallow all blend beautifully. I love baby colognes and this one is the most perfect I’ve come across. It is not super longlasting. If you are looking for a natural, organic product for yourself or your bundle of joy I would highly recommend this one.
