Abstraction Raisonnee

I give it finally a Love note, because many aspects. One of them is the quality, it's just there. The second is the balance pf all notes. I have seen some comments about the lack of the duration for the opening, however, as a vetiver lover, I just indulge in the well blended strong vetiver with all the others notes, it is just so balanced. Just as I expected from this house, or from most of the Frech perfumery. The third part is that I appreciate so much Sel de Vetiver but wouldn't pay the high-end price for a discontinued last patches. And this one just remind me so much of Sel de Vetiver from the different company, airy watery softly, a very summer fragrance. I don't mean they are the same but the direction that the perfumers want us to feel is so alike. If there is good discount, it worths a lot. Edit: Got a full wear experience, it reminds me also vetiver veritas from Heeley. Conclusion, it opens with the feeling like sel de vetiver trasmits, but the dry down is more like vetiver varitas. Edit: Just compared 3 of them side by side, they are totally different. Sel de Vetiver gives the same feeling and mood, but with Geranium and Ylang Ylang and very salty all the time. Vetiver veritas is dried, darker with a lote support of woody and also with very little hint of Pomelo. Abstraction Raisonnee gives the same feeling like Sel de Vetiver (vetiver is less prominent, but saltay all the time) but demostrates vetiver from the beginning to the end like vetiver veritas with different caracter. It's soft with blended notes that cannot separate easily from the vetiver notes, it is like they grow a totally new variety of this plant. Masteried blened. Ground breaking? No, it was not the perfumista goal I think. He just want to make a new well blended Vetiver perfume which not scares people. In this way I think he wanted to make a crowds pleasing unisex one. To be honest, at the price point, Abstraction Raisonnee is a great offer, although sometimes I encounter Vetiver veritas with discount, but Vetiver veritas is not that airy and wearable enough than this one. Speaking about the name Abstraction Raisonnee. La estabilidad del continuous vetiver is the Raisonnee, but decorated by many other notes as the Abstraction, to my understanding. I had to find it out with some time, it more difficult for me to think why the author want this result, it is rather poetic, soft. At the first glance it is not a mind-blowing perfume, but wearing it days by days I found it seems talking to me. The duration is good in this case, after hours and suddenly a waft of the scent comes to me. A plen joy, like ordinary daiy life, those little joyful things around.

Searching for an interesting new summer frangrance, I bought this scent on the basis of the review on Les Eaux website, thinking it would be perfect. On first application, all I got was Curry Plant, so a bit of a shock. Thought I'd swap it, then couldn't be bothered, so persevered. It's pricey. The curry smell has settled down and it's now just a rather pleasant, if underwhelming clean fragrance. All very strange. Won't buy on spec like that again.

Just compared side by side with Vetiverio Eau de Parfum version from Diptyque. They give airy feeling, but i found lovely in this one than Vetiverio, much more interesting, Vetiverio Eau de Parfum is too lineal. Both are nice, in the similar direction like Sel de Vetiver, including Vetiver Java which is of a lot of citrusy opening. They are all make to please people. Very wearable and good way to enjoy vetiver in every ocations!!!

Lovely, very fresh-floral-delicate top notes: sharp bergamot and grapefruit, a lively, vegetal vetiver line, dewy imagery, and radiant powdery violet, a touch fruity, with just the right amount of vibrancy. However, this floral-fruity aspect seems to me to fall a little short and, really, I wouldn't have minded smelling it a little more and in greater complexity. I also miss out almost entirely on the rhubarb announced (I have this acidic aspect, of course, but my nose associates it mainly with the beautiful vetiver presented here). Ditto for the jasmine and benzoin notes advertised on the site: for me, nothing. The vetiver then dries out, becomes limp and simultaneously rough and smooth/sensual like a nutmeg shell. I don't see anything fundamentally original in it, but it's a well-tuned creation. However, the price of 250€ a bottle is a categorical no for me. Perhaps it will suit other pockets. So, contenting myself with the sample I have, I'm going to suggest to my lover, a vetiver fan, that he wear it for a few days: curious to see how it turns out on a man's skin.

Homage to Guerlain's Vetiver. A fresh, unsweet rhubarb note gives it a modern & amazingly harmonious touch. Well done!

First sniff: floral and a little powdery, missing a lot of those normal fruity notes that I would assume with rhubarb and bergamot. The vetiver is very strong with this one, as I’ve learned from reading other comments - and now I know what that smell is! After about 30 minutes it already starts to warm on the skin and I pick up notes of orange and fruit. Very yummy, but not overpowering. The dry down is very green, which will suit those fans of clean fragrances, but is a little too strong on my skin. Dislike, but only because it's not my style at all. I've given my sample to a friend who I think will enjoy it more (a Le Labo fan with The Noir as her signature scent).

Very strong on vetiver ( Guerlain style of Vetiver). I can pick rhubarb and grapefruit. I pick salty marine notes.
