Fleur De Sable

This is a scent that sits up around you and reveals parts of itself. Fantastic if there is warmth and a breeze. My brother at Xmas decided that this was the best of the bunch of scents I bought with me on my visit. He said he would wear it and he’s squeamish about unisex fragrances. It has this gorgeous salty/saline edge that as the fragrance wears, deepens and almost caramelises... hard to describe. Intriguing. First hits are this distant saltiness like a seaspray carried over warm ground so it hits you with warmth and lightness. Fruity but not cloying or sweet. It must be the rose/orange that I get mixed with the pepper and paprika that give an interesting pepperiness and bite - piquancy? That feels again, caramelised - it’s very transparent and feels light but floats around you. The light powderiness comes in later, never too much - I don’t get a recognisable rose scent but one that merges with fruit to give this lightness and clarity. With a fresh sweetness. Really beautiful. And yes my brother wore it and enjoyed it. Lasts incredibly well 7+ hours in 28C+ temps ❤️

Fleur de Sable is an unique rose forward fragrance. The composition is centred around (a new to me type of) rose, Eglantine rose, which I have to admit after testing this scent that smells really beautiful. I find it mesmerising to be honest. The myrrh, paprika, pink pepper and orris root that surrounds the rose give the juice so much warmth, creaminess, smoothness and a bit of spiciness. The rose is a lighter one, airier, moderately sweet, slightly gourmand. I have a variety of rose focused perfumes in my collection but Fleur de Sable is different. Stands out in a beautiful way. Better suited for spring and summer weather because it wears on the lighter side. Moderate to long lasting but weaker sillage. One of those gorgeous, feminine, pretty perfumes that nobody talks about. If you’re looking for a new rose fragrance for the next sunny seasons, try getting a decant or a sample. It truly deserves one’s attention and time. Packaging and presentation is five stars. Unique bottle design and high quality materials used.

i'm not particularly a fan of rose-forward perfume, as they are often too boring, too simple, too disappointing. i do enjoy the ones with a different approach to rose, such as the dry and bitter types, the thorny and stemmy ones, or the or the fresh and dewy types. this one surely belongs to the third category. there is no soapiness or aldehydes, which are often the bane of rose perfumes - this one is smooth and tranquil. to me it smells just like a whole bush of the rugosa rose that grows everywhere in those early summer days, filling the air with their opulent, intoxicating aroma. there is enough mandarin and spice to make this scent vibrant and give it that extra nuance of a jammy, lightly sweet, slightly tart rose that can be enjoyed in a donut, on your cheesecake, in your lemonade. that being said, this fragrance is linear and predictable, but it stays on for ages!

A great example of how pepper could be gracefully blended into the creation, being a bit edgy but not overpowering the whole thing. To me this is a greener and less sweet sister of Rose 01 by Swiss Arabian, which also has a Delina vibe. Rose 01 is a dark pink, opulent princess, staying in her castle and indulging herself in food and entertainment. Fleur de Sable is her wild, edgy sibling, running from the castle for bareback horse riding and sitting in the grass to watch sunset before coming back home. I don't get too much of the sand impression - maybe just the overall warmness added to the scent. I thought FB is redundant in my collection if I already have Rose 01 and some other rose fragrances, but I totally changed my mind after a few days of testing it.

Just received. It is beautiful absolutely lovely. The first hit I get is orange and paprika unusual and beautiful. Followed up by the peppers dries down to a lovely Orris I’m getting the sweet briar ( Eglantine Rose ) throughout. For those of you not smelling “ROSE” This type of rose is very fruity smelling. It’s very subtle but I’m smelling it while I’m smelling the orange. It is said to smell a little like apples but not exactly so that thing you’re smelling with the orange and you’re not quite sure what it is. That’s the Eglantine Rose. This is beautifully beautifully blended. It is my first LL fragrance and it’s a stunner. Unfortunately, for now, I think I have to bathe in it for others to smell it. I will update.

For any guys looking to buy this perfume, don't pay attention to what others might say, I'm a guy and I thoroughly enjoy it, it has become my daily and I've gotten many compliments over it, do not be discouraged to wear it because of the votes leaning towards it being a woman's perfume. Fleur de Sable is a fantastic fragrance with its iconic pink pepper opening up only to be finished by its amazing rose smell, I personally love rose-oriented perfumes and this is one of my favorites. The fragrance also lasts for a relatively long amount of time and I've found it sticks almost permanently to hoodies or sweaters, which I love. I am definitely biased towards it, but, I give it what I think is a fair rating of 9.5/10

Nov 2023 edit: I got a full bottle. It’s grown on me so much and now I think it’s beautiful. In my head I know I should be smelling rose but on my skin it’s has this beautiful sand-like quality that’s like half dusty and half red bean mochi dessert goodness that’s slightly sweet. I’m really glad I didn’t blind buy this. It’s definitely not what I expected from the reviews below but I don’t think that’s a bad thing necessarily. I get mostly a powdery dusty incense aroma that’s a little bit sweet. It reminds me of the dark yellow incense that Chinese people use to honor and remember ancestors mixed with a red bean mochi snack. Again, not bad and I think it’s growing on me

Lovely floral that isn't too sweet. Absolutely unisex, and a very nice, gentle rose balanced by the Mandarin in the background. The spices are there, but they're not prominent, again just rounding out the scent. The rose is definitely the main player, but isn't excessive (cough, Montale, cough). It's just a nice, gentle rose. I do wish it were a little stronger, on me it's approaching a skin scent, with moderate longevity. It's the first time I've smelled Eglantine rose, and I love it. 7/10, though depending on the day may be an 8. Liquides Imaginaires do have some wonderful fragrances, and this is one of them.

Spicy sandy rose, I love how perfumers were able to create a perfume that smells so much like sand. The first spray from a decant made me fall in love and buy a bottle that very same day. It is Unique and magical, nothing smells like this in my collection but i will say if you like Dom rosa you'll adore this too....I smell a citrusy spicy rose, sand, and myrrh (slightly incensy). Very well blended, nothing is screechy, nothing smells outdated and overdone, it is a 10/10 fragrance. All season and day or night friendly too P.s - Nuit De Sable by BDK doesn't hold a candle to this one.

If there is one fragrance to smell / sample from Les Liquides Imaginaires, this is it. This is a delicate spicy vegetal scent that works extremely well as a dumb reach when you want a little sophistication. The paprika keeps things interesting and I strongly suggest multiple wearings to properly appreciate this blend. Spring and Autumn/Fall are the ideal seasons but it can work year round. I would easily put this in a top 10 Spring list. This leans ever so slightly feminine on the unisex scale but anyone could rock this. I've had really good reactions from males and females.

Nobody really talks about this one but it's on my top 3 favorite spring-summer scent. Not girly, not juvenile, not fruity, not loud, just... A very unique, pretty, delicate, dry, spicy and airy rose. I do love rose as a note (think Damask, Hibiscus Mahajad, Dom Rosa, Atomic Rose, Delina, etc...) and nothing smells like this one. If you enjoy this scent profile as well, I strongly recommend you get your nose on Fleur de Sable. (Bonus: few people wear it and it's on the more affordable side!)

the opening can be polarizing...I smell pepper a lot and then something that is similar to bell peppers. Not the biggest fan of that. BUT... once it dries down it's great! On my skin it reminds me of rose iced tea with some warm resinous element underneath. Not powdery at all. Sweet in a natural, non sugary way. Soft but intriguing. A good one to smell if you love oriental fragrances but want one that's appropriate for the warmer seasons. Wouldn't recommend blind buying though.

Let me start off by saying I love roses and also in fragrance. Not the grandma soap vibes, more like real rose petals that you sink your nose into. I can get into the juicy jammy vibes as long as its not juvenile. Fleur De Sable Is very soft pretty princess vibes. I really get the creamy slightly powdery Orris (which I also love) the rose is very soft spoken and pretty. The spices are also soft and blend nicely. Its like the perfect pretty girl cozy scent that is so slept on.

Fleur de Sable by Liquides Imaginaires is a sophisticated and enigmatic perfume.The composition is a blend of myrrh, pink pepper and paprika, adding a warm, deep, and sensual character in contrast to more delicate floral accents. It's textured fragrance, hot and fresh at the same time. Totally in love with it! 😍

This is beautiful. The hot sand and desert wind hit you in the face. There is some flower somewhere far away, possibly already fossilized from the heat. Juicy and green-ish paprika, however, reminds one that there is life there somewhere. The composition is unlike anything else, really unique. Don't know anything with a similar vibe. Easy to wear, not loud, warm and classy. Can be a great signature scent.

I gifted this to my mom. such a beautiful scent. its more on signature scent typo. if you only want one perfume. its interesting but also classically beautiful. slightly sweet slightly jammy slightly fresh. it has that LI back bone...i think that is why i love this house so much because of the resins/incense feel. its well rounded and complete.

I blind test my samples, end up sniffing my wrist eagerly like a hound dog, and time after time it's Fleur de Sable! I study the notes trying to understand: myrrh, peppers, vegetable... I can't explain why but this perfume somehow hits the jackpot😆 It's like a gentle spicy rose in the wind at sea shore. Captivating.

One of my favourite scents. Not really anything else resembles this from my limited experience. I don't know how but it's linear while versatile, juvenile while sophisticated. It's sweet but not heavy, reminds me of red bean or even green bean flavored ice bar from my childhood summertime. So Beautiful.

So beautiful. It's like discovering a pond of crystal clear rose water in the middle of a desert. The eglantine rose is so dewy and pure, while paprika and pepper make for a convincing gust of hot wind over sparkling golden sands. Art in a bottle for me, but absolutely wearable.

I adore Desert Suave, and so I was very excited to sample Fleur De Sable. Pepper keeps this gorgeous rose fragrance from becoming too sweet. Myrrh and orris work together to bring this to another level.
