Ballerina No 2

Roses, Iris, Violet and Patchouli here smell like a watercolour painting looks like. They blend seamlessly with each others like all other notes as well and they are beautifully melancholy and nostalgic. Iris and Violet are easy to detect in the opening but they fades away and show up in a different way. This is not powdery for me, not even that vintage powdery like which feeling comes from the smell of Iris and Violets which both was used in make up powders back in times. This is not dry, it feels wet for me like like still slightly wet painting. If iris and Violet tend to hide Raspberry shows up after the opening. It's not so fruity, it's subtle and it reminds me of lipsticky scent which on the other hand is created by Raspberry and Violet together. This lipstick is not waxy, opulent layer, it's a lipstick which has been tried to wipe away with water and oil. It's not lipsticky like Misia or Lipstick Rose, not at all. Raspberry is not juicy one either. I don't think this as a sweet scent, Vanilla in the base is not clear like it's in many perfumes but I can get a tiny whiffs of sweetness here and there. Vanilla does make this concoction warmer, keeps it away from ice cold side where iris and Violet stays in many perfumes. And for those ones who are not familiar with Les Parfums de Rosine: Rose is the star of the show - pastel coloured, dewy Rose, not "jammy" one nor fresh, utterly pleasant and easy to like. Patchouli is dancing with Rose from the opening until the final part of the dry dow. Ballerina No 2 is nothing which I have smelled before. Actually it performs perfectly and shows up somehow like a whole picture now when it's raining a lot - than yesterday in sunshine. One other scent which I love the most when it's raining is Une Rose / Rose Tonnerre (this is nothing like that one though). On the other hand, one scent which comes in my mind when smelling this one is Opus V - Woods Symphony by Amouage . It's very different as well but with some small similarities, I see the same kind of scene when smelling it than I see now when smelling Ballerina No 2: watercolour painting, here wet roses and iris, roses and Orris in Woods Symphony. Those similarities are more feelings than than realistic similarities and Woods Symphony is "dirty" and animalic because of Oud and Civet, and Ballerina N°2 is very innocent. This scent is feminine but I will test it on my husband's skin. Patchouli maybe does some magics on men's skin making it more masculine on them. My intention wasn't to write this long text now since I just got this scent recently but this is how I feel. I will come back later and I will complete my thoughts about this beauty. Beautiful. Gorgeous flowers, all of them. I can smell every flower listed. It's a beautiful bouquet of fresh blooming delicate flowers, all gently opening up and exuding their gorgeous fragrances. And there's a perfectly sweet and pungent patchouli, which gives a wonderful garden smell, and the bergamot and raspberry add a lively bitter/sweet touch. But the most prominent smell is rose. It's a gorgeous sweet fresh rose, quite strong and heady; really lovely, The base is really nice; sweet, soft and gentle, but with a very good strong smell of the sandalwood, vanilla ,ambrette and musk. Patchouli I smell right from the beginning. I'm always very sensitive to patchouli in perfumes, and I adore it. It's got such depth and complexity, and fullness. Anyway, I love Ballerina No 2, it's a total delight to wear, and lasts extraordinarily well - easily 16 hours, and has a good sillage; you can smell it quite a few feet away. I always get complimented when I wear it. I love it - and the bottle is scrumptiously adorable.

the dominant notes in this perfume are patchouli.i can detect iris rose vanilla on the background.to me drydown kinda smell like baby armpit after u put a baby powder 😂 I’m obsessed with baby powder so this is big ❤️ Moderate sillage and longevity .Success blind buy for me. if u like Tom ford violet blonde u will love this one too very similar vibe but not as powdery as ballerina no 2.

Sampling thanks to generous fragrantican. I thought this would be a delicate little thing going from the name but on opening the vial i could really smell it before applying to skin. Anyway i get the fruity top notes, particulaly the bergamot. The rose and lilac are prominent. I get the patch amber and musk mallow the strongest in the base. I feel a slight resemblence to rose de cardin but without the dirtiness that has. I dont * love * rose perfumes and prefer the cardin so not fb worthy.

A pretty, perfume-y rose that smells dosed with cedar on my skin. There's a little dirty/sexy BO quality that reminds me a lot of Feminite du Bois by Serge Lutens, but with rose instead of plum. Overall, a bit too perfume-y for my taste but it's still quite nice.

The opening of this fragrance is actually quite appealing. It does not follow the typical sweet rose direction. Instead, there is a distinct tart, fruity edge—something like freshly cut raspberries, with a gentle acidity. It feels closer to the impression of rose petals touched by a bit of juice, carrying a sense of moisture and a slight sharpness. A promising start. From the middle into the drydown, the composition becomes more familiar. It shifts into a powdery rose that gradually settles into a woody base. The style is conventional but reliable, suitable for everyday wear. Projection is moderate.

Juicy and sweet, drying down to powdery. Rose, raspberry, patchouli and violet dominate, but it's very well blended and subtle. Personally, I don't go in for subtle, but I will say it's a much more pleasant smell than Ballerina No 1.

Very light powdery, iris, less rose, sweet, amber, light musk. All year round day which is great, because it just having a bouquet of scent flowers with you during the day.

Perfect combination of woody notes and flowers. Lovelly design. Now, I can imagine myself without it.
