Vive la Mariée

A happy, ethereal, classy floral with a bit of sweetness. If there was ever a perfume that I could confidently wear everywhere, anytime, it would be this one. Performance could be better but honestly it's so beautiful and well-blended that I don't mind re-spraying even in the office.

This is an elegant and delicate sweet white floral fragrance. It's delightful and uplifting. It's very similar to Amouage Honour Woman in style and composition. Absolute love at first sniff. Swoon worthy and perfect for warm weather. Good longevity. Sillage is moderate.

Lovely, soft-floral feminine fragrance. It is one of my favorites from a handful of samples I ordered from Parfumes des Rosines. I ordered an entire bottle because it stood out to me.

I got a sample of this from Perfume Shrine, and I think it's absolutely divine. It's a very sweet fruity floral, with a zesty note that I think might be mint. All together, fabulous!

I'm totally surprised I like this considering it has two of my least favorite notes, litchi and freesia. While I do pick up the freesia in the heart, it's softly done and not sharp at all. As for the litchi, I really can't smell it outright. It just adds a light fruitiness and a watery quality, though this is not an aquatic. It gives the composition a cool freshness. On the manufacturer's website it says, “The floral composition of Vive La Mariee has been devised like a bride's bouquet...” and I can definitely see that as the cool quality brings to mind a florist's refrigerator full of flowers. It also brings to mind a bride on her wedding day. This would be a beautiful choice for that special day. I love the florals here. They are all so clear, and have a sheer, transparent, crystalline quality. While there is a light sweetness to this scent, it's not heavy or syrupy, despite the listed praline note. I really can't even smell the praline much. It just adds a lite sweetness, enough to round out the composition. A light muskiness later joins the mix, though it only adds softness but no powder. Really pretty! While I really like the scent overall, I do think it is way overpriced for what it is. There are too many other fragrances out there that are similar in a much better price range. Silage is too soft and close to the skin, and longevity isn't that great either. If it performed better, it might have been a contender. As it is now, I'll take a pass.

I thought I would like this based on the notes and reviews but it really didn’t stand out for me . It’s very airy and light and all I got on first whiff is a citrus scent . Very unisex like a cologne. With its complexity of numerous heart notes, not one of the florals, in particular , jumped out at me . Such a shame as I’m a white floral lover . It , then went straight to dry down to a musky , woody skin scent . I’m not sure it’s my interpretation of a bridal fragrance . I would of thought there would of been more floral potency . Maybe it’s just on my skin 😔 Update: Tried it for a day and with its lightness , I feel it’s longevity and silage is minimal . I had to keep smelling my wrists to see if it was still present and reapplying . However , overall it’s a very well made , beautiful citrus, floral fragrance and it’s a safe scent for the day . It’s my favourite out of all the fragrances in the Rosine House cause the rose isn’t in centre stage but just blends beautifully with the other florals . I’ve grown to like it a lot. I’m in contemplation of getting a bottle just cause I don’t have a citrus, floral in my perfume collection . Yes, there are other similar fragrances out there but I prefer quality ingredients over cheaper , synthetic smelling fragrances .

At first I wrote this scent off - I thought it was your typical vapid fruity floral and nothing else. However, I've been testing from my sample again recently and find that Vive la Mariee is feminine and youthful scent. If you sniff your skin closely, the florals smell delicately blended like layers of rice paper. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned lotion yet, as this scent smells like expensive hand cream. Very wearable, I can definitely see this being someone's signature scent; however, Vive la Mariee veers very close to a designer (re: generic) scent. I primarily smell peony and litchy supported by neroli. Though I am thoroughly tempted, I probably would not buy this as I have many fragrances in my collection that would serve the same purpose. Maybe after I empty a few floral-fruity scents from my collection, I'll think about this one. There's not much neroli but I tend to struggle with even microscopically detectable dose of it (and also, the bottles from this brand look cute but feel very flimsy and have a poor atomizer), but I can see a mid-20's feminine woman wearing this!

When I first this on I thought it was a tuberose but now reading the notes, apparently not. But there is a lot of white flowers, and other flowers. The opening is fizzy and sweet. In the drydown there is an aquatic floral element, probably freesia. There is something of a "hairsalon" aura about this, not as bad as Carnal Flower. In the late stage the praline note comes out, it is subdued but still clearly gourmand. So all this is something that I normally would stay away from. But somehow Vive la Mariée completely charms me. It is "blond" and almost "airheaded" in the most lovable way. Cheerful, light, staying power is 4-6h max.

A sunny and delicate bouquet with a natural sweetness. Color: ivory, maybe some hints of pale yellow. The top notes are sparkly and juicy, without being in any way cloying. I imagine pears but I suppose it's the combination of lychee and peach. The fruity notes then gracefully fold into and fill in the contours of white magnolias, freesias, and pale rose buds. Slowly and softly the petals fall on a faintly powdery base, with the creaminess and savor of Belgian chocolate of just the right amount of sweetness.

Pretty, feminine and girly. It is a delicate fragrance. I can smell rose, white flowers and neroli. Not so original, very versatile & timeless. Perfect for spring. Vibe/feeling: a bouquet of innocent fresh flowers!

Nice nice, citrusy floral. Subtle and complex. Love it. Bright, light.

Opens with litchi and a floral melange, dries down into an easy to wear, sweet floral and fruity perfume. Nothing out of place, or unnatural, but too common of a scent for me to pull off.

Sweet florals and fruits... Nothing unique here, smells like many designer fragrances out there.

Scored an amazing deal for this bottle at a fraction of the retail price (but that being said prices in Australia are insane). So I had expectations that a niche bottle being priced in the $200s to be an experience itself but packaging was quite lacking in quality. Flimsy cheap cap, plain cardboard box. I don’t want to drag, but I was a little let down by the presentation. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for when you price your perfumes in the luxury spectrum at least please don’t skimp on packaging. The juice tho, it is interesting and impressive. Very similar nuances to the Chanel DNA. Airy, light, luxurious, flirty.. It’s musky but not too much. It’s got that tartness you could find in most designer fragrances. Definitely in the Chanel realm. Good ingredients, good quality you can definitely say blindfolded that it could be Dior or Chanel. Therefore it redeemed itself from the packaging disappointment just slightly. It could be a signature scent because it’s substantial & meaty enough and not just a boring bland floral. Most prominent is the litchi and white florals which paired in the opening is REALLY beautiful almost delicious! I’m getting a good sillage and the projection’s really strong for a good 4-5 hours. Having spent a couple of months wearing this perfume I have no complaints about quality. It has excellent performance. And good enough to render me a compliment, which I don’t usually get. So point for that. For someone that collects versatile mom scents (I’m not your gourmand girl or boss lady, I’m your safe plain Jane) this has my tick of approval. And if you’re a floral lover, this is breezy, beautiful and such a great comfort scent. I just think it should be priced a bit lower imho. The juice is good hundred percent.

Vive la Mariee opens with a bouquet of sweet but slightly woody jasmines, with its sweetness being the fruity kind. When it settles a little, there's a musky, almost smoky feel to it that seems to whirl around the bouquet. It just keeps getting more flowery as it progresses, like a florist's shop with a juicy sweetness all the time. No one flower dominates - the general impression is just a jumble of powdery, almost creamy white florals. The final drydown is similar to how many musks end on me - a light, soft skin scent. It's a pity rose wasn't as prominent in this as I hoped it would be, but I didn't miss it very much because there are already so many other floral notes in the mix. Overall, I found this to be a very pleasant and comforting scent. It's like something I would want to wear if I was going to sleep, for example. It just makes me feel safe and cuddled, in a way, which is probably only the second perfume so far to make me feel like that (the first being PdR's Rose Kashmirie). Two thumbs up to this for doing that! This doesn't project well, but you will be able to smell it on yourself. Lasted about 3-4 hours on me.

Extremely wearable, refined floral with tart fresh fruit in a supporting role. This has got me a lot of compliments and is just beautifully fresh, sweet and well-blended. It has a definite edge over some designer compositions as it never veers too sweet, heavy or synthetic - it's shimmery, sparkly and on me leaves a lovely scent trail wherever I go. The litchi+bergamot gives a juicy pear kind of thing which to me predominately brings forward the freesia and jasmine. Very spring appropriate, office-friendly but elevated enough to wear for something special. I actually don't have anything else to compare this too as it's so nicely balanced. Very bright, brings a smile, juicy white-floral.

I had high hopes for this one! Les Parfums de Rosine is one of my favorite brands, and I was in love with the concept of the fragrance. This is basically a magnolia + musk (lots of) + a hint of roses fragrance. I can barely detect the peach (so, no associations with Trésor) and the praline note. Vive la Mariée is pretty, don't get me wrong - only not what I was expecting from Rosine. So, if you like magnolia and want a musk/magnolia (and some roses)fragrance that stays close to the body, Vive La Mariée is for you.
