Violette Macaron

Syrupy sweet Violet macaron ! love it sooo much, I love very sweet fragrances and this one is not too much, it smells exactly like the description, violet and macaron, it has a slight warmness due to the macaron. I love layering that one with the new Victoria's Secret Heart's & Candy (which has candied violet) such a lovely combo !! ♡ Since it's very cheap the longevity is sadly very weak, about 25 minutes to 40 (maximum). For the people asking, this is a very cheap french brand so it's sold around Europe (Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg...) for 7 - 8 €

Very cute, goes well with Cheirosa 59, they have a similar vibe.

I was interested to try this, because I love violet scents. This is a very sweet, sugary, gourmand violet scent. I also smell a bit of fruitiness, like raspberry. I suppose I’m just smelling the macaron note. Maybe a hint plasticky, but not in a very bothersome way. Super girly, cute, and playful. This is like a violet candy version of Lush’s Snow Fairy. I’m also a bit reminded of Insolence, but this is nowhere near as powdery and the fruit notes are not bright or tart, but rather just sweet. This is way too edible-smelling for me, but for someone who wants a sweeter Insolence-ish scent for a fraction of the price, I think this is worth a try.

I finally took the time to test this little french drugstore fragrance, because some of the Petits Plaisirs are interesting (Colas, Caramel, or Rose blanche et lavande, for instance), but this is a nope. Short, very short, flat, uninteresting, fleeting violet on a undefined sweet base. No personality at all, something I can’t admit whatever the price. I would have loved to love it.

To answer the questions below, this brand is very easy to buy in the supermarkets or drugstores in France, and on several sites if like me you don’t live in France (origine-parfums....), it’s a cheapie, the price was about 7€. I’ll update for the review.

Perfect easy reach, light and sweet violet with enough sherbet-like fruity jam to stop it being sickly! Yes it’s linear and yes it’s light, but it’s also lovely! A beautiful skin scent that smells exactly like the notes listed - a jam filled macaron with violets. Not at all buiscuity! Ps , I mention this because I hate gourmands that smells like real cookies or nuts- this is a true perfume interpretation of a macaron rather than a literal one that smells like baked goods. Think of the almond in Burberry Brit rather that Sol de Janeiro!
