Liberty 1875

I've smelled this twice in store now and I am blown away! It's a beautiful smoky tuberose and vanilla. Long lasting (days on card!) It may seem expensive but the quality is there, I would say it's on a par with something by Amouage. There'll be savings to have on Black Friday which is when I hope to buy a bottle! Unisex and gorgeous bottle too. My favourtie from the line.

Absolutely gorgeous! And I don't generally like tuberose scents. Sweet, but not too sweet; smoky, but not too smoky; floral, but not too floral; woody, but not too woody. It's a beautifully balanced scent, although I think it would feel a little oppressive in hot weather. I love the dry down, when the vanilla peeks out, but again, it's not overdone and I wouldn't call this a gourmand. I tried it in store, and was given a 1.5 ml sample by the helpful sales assistant. I was happy to see that a travel size is included in the latest Liberty beauty bag, so I've picked that up.

This is so good. It's floral and clean with a little creaminess and powderiness from the tobacco. I smell a cardamom note in it. After a while on my skin, it started to smell oh so familiar. And then I realized, upon dry down it smells identical to Tom Ford's Soleil Blanc!

I don't know... smoky burnt sweet liquorice. Deep and heavy. I'm a fan of tobacco - and incence notes for that matter - in perfumes with florals, but this concoction is something else. It's a cousin of Deep Red by Hugo Boss which I detest.
