Suddenly Madame Glamour

This was a fun science experiment. SCIENCE! I really wanted to know if a super cheap imitation would be... obvious. Based on reviews, and the amazing price, I chose this fragrance. Even if I HATED this, it would only put me out $15 dollars to throw it away. I had to order this on Amazon, and it took two months to arrive from overseas, before I could discover if this smells like the fabulous Chanel Coco Madamoselle... and boy... it is close enough! It is not exact. There is something under the fresh orange and pretty rose, maybe the vetiver, that smells a little off, but it is so slight, and I am sensitive to vetiver. I think it also has less patchouli. So slight. I will rock this fragrance. I have a few samples of Coco Madamoselle, so I think I would wear these together. A hint of the real stuff, followed by SMG. Golly... I cannot believe I got this for $15. And I cannot believe I don't hate it! It really does scratch that Coco Madamoselle itch. I personally prefer Gabrielle Essence and Coco Noir, over Coco Madamoselle, but for this price, I will learn to love it most.

Popped into lido yesterday and just fancied a new bottle of Madame Glamour .I have had many bottles of this before .Was extremely pleased to see it at 75ml (edp)for just under £5.00 .Nicely re- packaged I wear alot of the Chanel range .But having had a sample of the real Mademoiselle I actually prefer the Lidl copy .Its fresh and clean has beautiful orange blossom accords without being to orangery ( like Hugo Boss ). It is a fab fragrance for every day, I.would substitutes it for Co'co chanel edt for evenings. In a nutshell pretty & light for day wear . My 20 year is also fond of this for everyday , she will waft pass me and I say" humm that smells nice." I also at the same time grabbed in Lidl the Chalou Same size & price ....lovely pink box ....smells very much like Chole on immediate reaction......so will see ......As said in other reviews this ones all say Vegan so that's a nice thing to point out Happy buyer ......nice one Lidl /Win

It may not be the most long lasting fragrance but this is excellent and very high quality. Almost exactly like Coco Mademoiselle. To me it feels a slightly more fresh with zingier citrus notes and toned down patchouli. CM can be a lot to deal with sometimes, very in your face with the patchouli, almost to a point that it feels harsh. This is softer and gentler. Pretty similar to Miss Dior 2012 as well. The notes in this are excellent. It doesn't smell synthetic or cheap like many impression perfumes do. It's the same citrus-y powdery patchouli floral goodness as CM. I think it'll last just fine when sprayed on clothes/in hair. I know some people don't like to do that but I'm fine with it lol. I'm a designer fragrance lover and almost never use impressions but this and La Rive Fleur de Femme (Poison Girl dupe) have won my heart.

This is such fun, all those reviews. Pros love it, cons hate its synthetic smell. Wake up please, even the expensive houses use synthetic ingredients today. How else can they make the exact same perfume every time again (It is not as if they sell just a couple of bottles of coco mad). Having said this, I am (obviously) a fan. In my opinion Coco mademoiselle is nice, and such a crowdpleaser that it doesn't belong in a Chanel-bottle. I expect more daring decisions there. But it is nice, and so is Madame Glamour. It does its job: it makes me feel happy and feminine :-). And that for a tiny price-tag, so I can spend the real money on a perfume that stands out in the crowd.

I spotted this in store today at LIDL. I haven't smelt coco mademoiselle before not the modern day version, only the vintage one that belonged to my mum. I really like it and it reminds me of Givenchy Dahlia Noir which has been discontinued for years now and I have been trying to find a dupe for it, with perfume parlour's being the closest one. The Johnsons baby note that is in it is what attracts me to it. This perfume is so nice, and makes me want to go into store and test out the modern coco mademoiselle.

I bought this around Christmas on offer for 2,99€. I just bought it because of the reviews comparing it to Coco Mademoiselle. I was curious. It is indeed a very beautiful scent and it is very similar to the real deal. Honestly, I never bought the original because it is very expensive for my taste. Also, I am not a fan of dupes in general, but there are a few scents that I don't like enough to buy the expensive original but like them enough to buy the dupe. And this is one of them.

I love to wear this at home, after taking a shower and applying my face cream. The fragrance lasts on my skin 4+ hours. I think it's just perfect and good value for money. I also own Coco Mademoiselle but I keep it for when I'm outdoors. Suddenly is a very nice fragrance when you want to feel nice in your own skin. I don't see why some people hate it so much. Will I buy it again after my bottle is over? Most probably - I love its fresh, citrusy smell!

I just have to add to my review that the lasting power of this is surprisingly good! I sprayed my coat and went out on this -12 degree F day and could still smell it hours later. It felt like a nice warm cloud around me. It smells just like CM throughout its entire life by the way, all the way to drydown. Also, my mom and sister could both smell it on me while I was standing about 3 feet away. I sprayed it on my clothes to make it last longer.

Ah, finally :) This is a little gem! Fresher than Miss Dior (Cherie) and without the heavy patchouli (and warm notes) of CM EDP. Closest o the EDT I think. A very nice fragrance on its own that drew inspiration from all the ones listed above. A lot of people thought I was wearing Chanel or Dior. Will def get another bottle. Lovely on it's own and perfect for a touch-up on the go.

For some reason, this cheapie always gets me compliments, from women and men. Lasts for ages and does not smell like a £6 perfume! I’ve been using CM since my teenage years, as my mum gifted me my first bottle of it, and I’ve been buying it since, but as it is quite pricey, I use this perfume instead for daily errands, I love it!

I have purchased several bottles of this but as I am wearing this today, I am thinking that I won't repurchase this. I have other dupes of CM that I like so much better. To me, SMG just pales in comparison to CM and to other dupes. It's just too soft for me. Nice for those days that you don't want to be too noticeable.

Oh sweet Patchouli... I never tried Coco Mademoiselle, but this dupe convinced me to stop buying cheapies and save money for buying a bottle. I haven’t worn anything else since I got this one and I never realized how many perfumes in my collection were giving me a headache. I keep turning back to this one for comfort.

I was really surprised by this, I have the dup for LVEB and J'adore, which are Femelle and Lovely, I didn't get the Madame Glamour as i am not a big fan of Mademoiselle. The fragrances indeed resemble a lot with the originals and sadly can't find where to post my reviews for these two perfumes. Thank you, Suddenly.

Nice dupe of Coco Chanel's Mademoiselles. For the fraction of the price. It won't last that long and not as strong, but nobody will know... their gonna know. Because you'll want to brag how great deals can you make.

I didn't even realize that this was considered to be a dupe for Coco Mademoiselle when I basically swiped every box off of the shelf of a Lidl I was at in Vronov, a small Slovakian village. It was about 3 Euro per box. It is heady, warm and womanly. I smell a lot of citrus, patchouli, rose, musk and actually, a coffee bean scent as well. I do think the notes resemble CM, however the dry down represents something a bit more synthetic and weird smelling on me. There is something a wee bit harsh about the final product, but in a blind side by side test, more people selected Madame Glamour over Coco Mademoiselle, hands down! Can you do better? I really must write review on this one. Before they start to sell prefume, I discovered roll-on deo Madame Glamour which immidiatelly reminded me on Coco M. I would never ever try a perfume from supermarket, but when I saw they sell it now and knowing roll-on, I tried it immidiately. The first few seconds impression was nothing much, but fortunately quickly grew into something really nice. For the price of 4$ it is amazing discovery. IMO, the perfume itself is much beyond its price. I never bought a dupe, but I couldn'tt resist this one ;) On me it does not have synthetic smell (if so, only few sec after applaying). The longevity is also ok, especially on the clothes, when I tested it on my wrist, it hits a bit the end of the sleav where I felt it for a few days. For the price tag of 4$ it is improper to comment the bottle design, the content itself already worth much more, I am even surprised they sell it in the box!

Finally on data base!!Hurray!!I first heard of Suddenly 3 years ago while reading an article on a newspaper about how Suddenly was chosen over other designer fragrances based on a blind test. I was very intrigued as I often shop at Lidl but it never crossed my mind to check their fragrances (snobbish I know hhh) so I got one for £1.99!!!it was on promotion for half its price. It does indeed bear striking resemblance to Coco Mademoiselle which I have too, the longevity is not outstanding but still decent and stays a good 5 hours on my usually perfume eating skin. I`ve had several compliments while wearing it. I`m at my second bottle now, a very versatile and beautiful fragrance. The bottle clearly lacks aesthetics but who cares, we`re after the smell, aren't` we? Lidl has really done a great job and at this price it is a crime not to have it lol

Similar-ish to CM, especially on the drydown, but it is very VERY patchouli forward and you can smell it all the way through. Blue Up had a now discontinued CM dupe (named Cocoon) that was a spot on dupe, much better than this one. I am waiting for a couple more dupes to come in the mail because unfortunately the OG is not in my budget. This Lidl one is nice overall, but if you don't like patchouli, maybe go for dupes by other brands. It lasts around 4 hours on me, I usually do 2-3 spritzes. Lasts longer on clothes. The YSL Libre dupe called Rebile is not on here yet but it is wonderful! And that one smells like a high-end fragrance, has depth and is overall just the best one in the Lidl selection right next to the Chloé dupe (Suddenly Chalou), which is one of my all-time favourites and is basically 98% similar to the OG Chloé.

Suddenly Lovely is J'adore, but I would say it is more potent. Suddenly Femelle - Lancome La vie est Belle Suddenly Summer Shine - Jill Sander Sun Summer Suddenly Blue Heaven - D&G Light Blue I have bought Essence Blue Cotton, not knowing it's the dupe of Light Blue. Again, it is more potent. The only problem I have with these perfumes: they give me a slight headache. On the packaging they have a Vegan sign, the newest ones have a "without microplastics" stamp. Also it's written "Skin compatibility terminologically confirmed". All these are great, but something in the formulation is not right. Smell is more than a sense, it is part of our survival equipment. And it tells me something is not right with these perfumes.

I’m wearing this frequently lately. It’s transformed from what I interpreted as an “old lady” fragrance to something captivating and fresh. My mom wears this often, as well as Chanel No 5 and Guerlain Shalimar, which I can’t wear because I connect them to her. But now I feel that this is “my” fragrance too. These notes are wonderful. Patchouli, jasmine and orange flower are my favorites. I’m not too sure about the performance, because either it’s not good, or I get anosmic easily. Cheapies usually perform poorly and you need to spray often, which makes them less cheap than you think. Since I realize how much I enjoy this, I now want to purchase Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. If this is good then that must be amazing.

For years I've sprayed on Madame Glamour whenever I've passed through Lidl, which is at least several times a year. I think of Jack Smith as Madame Nescience in the perversely gripping 1963 film Blonde Cobra by Ken Jacobs. Madame Nescience is screechy, broken, and tawdry, and she is a mesmerizingly improbable and wobbly tower of ersatz glamour. Enjoyable and slap dash. Finally I bought a bottle. Kind of a perfect commodity in my opinion but your experiences will vary. If it's a patchouli fragrance it's a patchouliesque molecule I don't recognize as patch. I get orange, white flowers, vanilla and a tangy tonka-ylang. It smells like a creamsicle and a vanilla ice cream sandwich melted together in a bowl.

Oh, what a wonderful surprise! Clean (thus, very Chanel-esque), non-offensive, patchouli - citrusy - floral fragrance. Very elegant, sophisticated and stylish with amazing longevity and performance. Smells expensive and luxurius. Office-friendly, everyday use-friendly, all year around use-friendly... I wore it yesterday and I can still smell it vividly on my clothes. WOW! Absolutely recomended for those who like Coco Mademoisele (CM), are on a budget, or just want to wear anytime/anywhere CM without breaking the bank (yes, let's all just admit Chanel is a great house, but its fragrances are shamelessly expensive!). I bought a 75ml EDP bottle for just 3.99 euros! What's to complain? It's a YES from me!

As someone who has worked with fragrance previously, I can attest that this is an excellent imitation of one of the most revered scents. No, it is not identical but it is very similar, to the point that it will fool almost everyone. You would get people stop you in the street, saying , ah, coco mademoiselle, my favourite etc.... Worth it just to chuck in your bag to freshen up with during the day. I would advise layering this over CCM to make it last longer and also so you can get better mileage. I find it doesn’t have the depth of CCM, but it is ideal to use as described. There is little difference between the two in terms of staying power. What a steal this is for a fraction of the cost!

I resisted for a very long time and I go to Lidl very often. Finally I decided to try it and wow, it is beautiful. It is a floral, slightly spicy scent (I do not know the original), very pleasant and lasts quite well on clothes and leaves such a sophisticated trace behind. I like it for the period when the summer heat subsides - more like the beginning of autumn or Indian summer. But it depends on each of us when the scent suits us. It will definitely be nice in winter too. I am really pleasantly surprised. I have a lot of perfumes, but this is definitely a very affordable and usable scent. I think Lidl has expanded their range of scents now.

I find this scent fascinating. I've learned from from this forum that it's a dupe of Coco Mademoiselle, which is lovely, but it smells like so. many. people. I guess some of them buy Coco, some of them buy other imitators, but when I came across this one in a Lidl a few months ago it brought back the faces and styles of dozens of women I knew back in my uni days, people I hadn't really thought about in twenty years. It has a heat and a dryness unrelated to any aroma found in nature, sharp and chemical but not unpleasant. It is not 'my' scent but I enjoy it on other people. It affects me in a nostalgic but not arousing or invigorating way.

I bought the following from LIDL: - Blue Heaven - which smells very similar to Light Blue - Essence Jolie - I really thought it was La Vie Est Belle, but with weak performance - Suddenly Diamonds - this one smells nice, actually my favorite of all three. Someone here said it’s a Hugo Boss dupe. These are nice for refreshing yourself when you don’t mind spraying many times. Still, for this price - I’m a bit worried about the ingredients that you breathe in when spraying so generously. Maybe over time, they can be dangerous for your lungs. These perfumes were just a curiosity. I’m not going to buy any of them again, or any other from LIDL.

For those who like to have various fragrances in their drawer with more and less expensive fragrances, it is a fragrance that can not miss if you obviously love the most famous fragrance Chanel Coco Mademoiselle !! He remembers it more or less well, maybe a little more synthetic, as already mentioned, but for the paltry price of 4.99 euros for a 50 ml EDP, it's more than good! The duration is certainly weaker than the original, but despite being cheap makes' feel good and is more than good! I also tried Aura Jolie for sale at Lidl, which is reminiscent of the perfume La Vie est Belle, even the most promoted! Good Lidl!

Whew! powerful, heady white floral with strong notes of vanilla & musk coming through. I am told it is a ringer for Coco Mademoiselle at a fraction of the price! Have toyed many times with buying this at my local Lidl, the problem is it smells much better on my clothes than it does on me! Beautiful dry down on a scarf lasted for days. So the jury's out as to whether I will purchase, but I often find myself having a good spray of this when doing my shopping. Lovely pick-me-up and lasts for rest of the day if I am going anywhere else. Edited to add : Have now bought 2 bottles! December 2022

One day I was walking around an antiques market and I heard this older lady saying "oh someone is using Coco Mademoiselle" and then she asked me directly if it was me (I just nodded because I was to stunned to speak to be honest)... This was in France and the lady was also french. So if anyone is wondering if this is a good dupe, here's your answer. Just another detail, I had put on the perfume a few hours before and she could still smell it well enough to recognize it.

Bought it as I heard a lot of good things about it. It is *fine*. There is nothing spectacular about it but it works when I want to smell unapologetically sweet. I have gotten some compliments on it so it may be the perfume edition of kitsch which I am very much fine with considering the price. I think it is fine as an introduction to perfume for people who don't have yet a set taste and don't want to spend a lot.

I am in the "I prefer this to Coco Mademoiselle" camp, and so is my husband and 2 other people I made blind tests on! It's very nice, deeper and earthier than CM EDP- not a complete dupe but similar enough and a good perfume in its own right. I have full bottles of both so I know them well. This one lasts longer as well. My CM is a recent batch (Feb 2021) and I'm extremely disappointed with its performance.

A pretty good dupe, and for the price you can't complain. I like how screechy and obnoxious it is. I like to wear it in summer to offend people, when I'm in a confident mood. Every boring girly girl used to wear coco mademoiselle back in the day, and I was sick of it. But I guess I secretly kinda loved it and was being a hipster, because when I smelled it years later it was sooo good.

A very soft version of Coco mademoissele. The first notes are much softer. Love it but the longetivity is very short, after 1.5-2 hours I can't smell it anymore. Well, but what can you demand from 50 ml for 4 pounds? Very pleasant scent and indeed sensual. Feel very feminine when wearing it. Sometime carry it in my bag and apply it every 3-4h when I'm not lazy lol. Good job, Lidl.

I loved this when I got it last year, but maybe now that I've tried many perfumes since, I don't seem to love it anymore. It's still nice and does smell very similar to Coco Madamoiselle, but I guess now that I don't consider that one one of my top 5 anymore, it makes sense that I'm not as crazy about this one anymore either.

For the price this is actually not a bad purchase at all. I'd say the longevity is moderate and it smells nice and subtle - I mostly get hints of orange and flowers. Very light and definitely a spring/summer fragrance. Would I purchase this again? No, but not because it smells bad. It's just not what I look for in a perfume.

Yes, it's like CM, but more musky. Longevity is so good for a perfume that costs that little Siaj is sytrong to my nose at first 15-30 min, then it settles It's much sharper than CM, and not as refined, but is a nice alternative for everyday use, for office, or more put toghether women in general. So, it's good !

I don't know if this is a dupe for Dior's perfume because I do not own that one, but it's a nice floral perfume, not overly sweet and without having that strange smell that most cheap perfumes have. I will definitely keep buying it.

Feminine and elegant scent of orange and ylang-ylang, musky dry-down and no grandma vibes. 2000s Tuscan home of spa manager with cold quartz floor. Got this at Lidl as my first perfume years ago and wish to smell it again someday.

It’s really similar to coco mademoiselle, in my teenage days i used this perfume in school it was so refreshing for the morning. It been really long since i had this perfume I dont know if i would used it again.

Lidl (actually WIN Cosmetics) came up with a whole range for Suddenly. I tried Lovely and it's well...lovely enough that I purchased a bottle. It's light and cheerful.

I really don't have much to add to supremexcess review. I'm glad I bought it at a Lidl in Germany though, since I never see Lidl fragrances in Denmark, but maybe I'm just shopping at the wrong Lidl. I put it back the first time I tested it because the first few seconds were awful. The fragrance grew on me on the ride back to our vacation base, so I went back and bought it the next day. My newly unboxed fragrance smells just fine out of the bottle. I think the tester was just off. I've also been told that Suddenly is supposed to be similar to Coco Mademoiselle which I can't afford right now and I can't compare since I haven't tested Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle. I just hope the comparison is right, since I bought Suddenly with the intend of finding out if this type of fragrance is for me, because it's so different from anything else I own which is strange, because I'm familiar with all the notes and they're all notes I like. Unlike the first reviewer here, others have said the longevity is poor, but Suddenly was less than 5 Euro and you get a full 50ml so I'm not bothered about the longevity. I'm not a fan of the bottle either. But I can live with that since I like the perfume alright and it was so cheap and good for the price. Suddenly Madame Glamour is a high-end clean with a bit of patchouli (warm kind of clean, not sharp) on me. Within an hour it's just soft clean on me, inoffensive and classy. So that's fine with me at this price.

I was buying groceries at Lidl with my boyfriend today and I happened to smell/test this: while the La Vie Est Belle dupe was okay (but very volatile) the Chloè (Chalou) and Lovely (J'adore) were foul to both me and my boyfriend's nose. Madame was a different story. At first spray it's very screechy and alcoholic (my boyfriend absolutely hated it), but once it settles both on skin and clothes it gets really patchouli heavy and very close to Coco Mademoiselle (and Chance imho). I didn't buy it because the opening was really annoying, but now I'm contemplating going back and getting it. It was 5 euros for 30ml, which is way less than what I would pay for any other dupe. But at the same time I can't really go past that alcoholic initial spray, ugh... I'm really fighting the urge, but I might just pass. Really impressive for how cheap it is tho!

I'm very glad I discovered this little gem, again thanks to Fragrantica. I probably would have passed it by if I hadn't read about it here, esp about its resemblance to Coco Mademoiselle. I tested it yesterday and bought it on the spot because it's too good an alternative to pass up. I wouldn't say it's IDENTICAL to Coco Mselle, as Madame is fresher, more citrusy (a summer fragrance for sure), but it has its own charm and a satisfactory performance considering its price. If you love Coco Mademoiselle but can't afford it, go ahead and give Madame Glamour a try, you won't regret it! :)

With the arrival of the 75 ml bottle on Lidl shelves, I think this dupe of CM has been reformulated because it no longer smells as it used to when it was sold in the 50 ml bottle. There's something dirty and unpleasant about the patchouli in the 75 ml bottle, so this isn't as close to the original as it used to be a few years ago. As a result, my love turned to okay and I had to let this one go.

People say it's a dupe of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. I haven't tried CCM so I can't compare so this review is only for this perfume stand alone only. I don't really like it, perhaps due to the overwhelming patchouli. Staying power is okay, roughly 3-5 hours on me. The bottle is nice and price is unbeatable.

I didn't really care for this fragrance. I have the Lidl Suddenly Diamonds which is a dupe for Hugo Boss Orange edt, which is more my style and works really well with my skin chemistry. I bought it in Germany. I haven't seen it here in Denmark, but maybe it's just my local Lidl that doesn't have it.

For the price you can’t really go wrong and it’s a good dupe of Madamoiselle, but it really doesnt last too long on skin or clothes :/ I enjoy the Stylish Girl fragrance from Lidl a lot more, lasts a lot longer and is a better dupe of what it’s supposed to be (Good Girl).

I bought a bottle of this cheap scent to find out is it dupe of Mademoiselle by Chanel. Yes it is, not bad longevity even, but it cheaper version of a masterpiece. So i gave the bottle away after used some.

To me patchouli bergamot and musk are predominanted scents in this perfume. It smells quite similar to Coco Mademoiselle but a bit more tangy. The longevity isn't that bad on on me, lasts 4-5 hours.
