Never have I fallen in love so fast. And here I was thinking fruit notes weren’t for me. Well.. I apologise, clearly I was mistaken. Pear notes are officially my new favourite thing, or at the very least that's true for this fragrance. It’s light and fruity, but not in a cutesy girly way, no. It’s refreshing comfort, an early morning with a dim blue sky. A quiet calm, when you’re the only one already awake, save for the trees and the moon that hasn’t decided to hide just yet. With the name being studied, of course, I thought of studying in an old library.. tucked away in a corner away from prying eyes, the ease of my own company. A glass of pear juice sits on the dark oak table, cold with droplets that cling and fall like a love let go. Rain taps at the window from the thunderstorm outside, gentle, like it’s asking you to listen. But the books on the desk remind you to study, they’ve grown stubborn with age; with years of people who skim through the pages, who nod along like they care, as if these words written into print aren’t a room you’re allowed to wander into. A lonely iris laid between the spine, a passing memory of something thoughtful, the accidental brush of a hand that still seems to linger. For me, this is comfort in every sense of the word. This feels like me. Like the star-shaped lights draped around the contours of my bedroom. Or the pile of books I still have yet to read that grows with every curious need to visit a new bookshop. It’s the daydreamer loss of focus that becomes more concerned with the ladybug on the windowsill, than the unfinished work or the perfectionist fixation on having pretty handwriting. The pear tree that grew in the garden of my childhood home. The carefree summers we would stop in a tea shop for a carton of juice and a slice of cake. It’s so cosy, so darling. Very easily wearable, and intimate on skin. I think something about the pear and the carrot seed makes it feel so fitting for spring and autumn, but you can bet I’ll be wearing this year-round either way. <3

This scent is so lovely, but it is such an exact replica of Clean Reserve Radiant Nectar that I struggle to really separate out how they differ. Radiant Nectar is my everyday base scent (the way it lingers on clothes is divine!), and I would say the real difference here is the level of woods to pear ratio. Let me try to parse through it: Studied is a watery and juicy yet airy pear/ambrette/iris/woody fragrance that is truly so comforting, fresh, clean, crisp and romantic. I love the story behind this fragrance-- Virginia Woolf is targeted marketing for me personally-- and it truly has an airy yet juicy quality that feels like fresh, crisp book pages with an open window lined with fresh linen curtains billowing out against a pear tree shading the window. It's absolutely lovely, comforting, clean, and it beckons people to lean in-- if they smell it right after you have sprayed, that is. The longevity is simply not there, sadly. The main difference between Studied and Radiant Nectar is that Radiant Nectar is pretty woods-pear forward, and the dry down is very woody with a lingering skin musk and fruity quality. Studied is much more carrot and pear forward, a tad sweeter, but sadly, the dry down is faint and I can't smell it after about 2 hours. I think because it lacks some of the woody quality that it lacks the slightly longer longevity of Radiant Nectar. If you are into the bottle, concept, brand, and are ok to overspray, I think grabbing a sample or bottle makes total sense. But, Radiant Nectar is so exact, you really don't need both.

This smells like lying down on a patch of sun-warmed carpeted floor, drenched in the rectangular rays that crept to the window and kept time for you while you read your favorite book. The juicy pear opening is the perfect. It is ripe summer pear, not astringent or tannin heavy that would leave your tongue dry. It also does not smell indolic or fermented. The ambrette is slightly nutty and makes the sweeter smells balanced. The "carrot" middle note may come from beta-ionone, but specifically boiled carrot. It does not smell green and raw, but faintly sweet and earthy that pairs well with the iris. The perfume ends with cashmearan and ambroxan which to me, smells like a warm hug in a light blanket. This perfume absolutely pains me in its sillage and longevity. It is truly an intimate perfume that I wear only for myself. Gosh, I wished it lasted longer. However whoever wrote that Clean Reserve's radiant nectar was "identical", its really not..... the notes may be the same but the composition feels entirley different. Radiant nectar smells boozy and a little indolic, not nearly as easy, and very heavy on the musk which overran the iris. Do not use that as a litmus test to see if you would like this, they are not the same.

I adore studied. Yes its style has been done so many times. But it is by far the best balanced fragrance of the “pear ambrette Ambroxin ect”combination I have found thus far. It’s very comfy cozy yummy and intoxicating. Not a gourmand that is overtly sugary but a natural fruity one that just makes you feel happy and very content. It’s not the clean freshly showered version of floating, but a soft delicious sister to her. As for dupes of this, I’m not entirely sure how anyone is saying glossier you is a dupe. Yes there are similar qualities but You is simply more peppery and musk forward with no sweetness. And studied is fruiter juicer and much sweeter. (Update-the dry down of these I believe are what people are picking up on, when the fruitiness and sweetness dissipates, this is reminiscent of You, too notes are valleys apart though) Also clean reserves sparkling sugar is not a great comparison either. But I am interested to see if clean reserves radiant nectar lives up to the hype of this one! I love the pear and carrot combo and I feel so grounded when wearing this.

usually, i never say that fragrances have a gender, male or female, i believe all perfumes are unisex. however, that was until i smelled this. this is so feminine it's insane. like, i don't think a guy could pull it off, and if im being honest, not a whole lot of girls either. this is a very very specific scent catered for a very niche audience in my opinion. i could see this working on a well educated, sophisticated girl, think of violet from a series of unfortunate events. i could totally see her wearing this. now, what does it smell like? it's VERY hard to put a finger on it, but if i had to try to describe it, i would say it smells like a carrot cake thats slightly bitter with some fresh pears on another plate beside it. you're eating the cake and the pears while wearing a cashmere sweater, and theres a slight smell of something musky or smoky, like someone maybe having burnt incense not too long ago in this room.

Not sure I still believe that having a "signature scent" works for me, however, it seems that I am always on the hunt for that one fragrance that truly feels like the truest version of myself. This scent, though simple and even subtle at times, gave me butterflies when I smelled it. Both nostalgic and novel in its own ways, it has a ripe fruit juice opening with a subtle vegetal quality from the carrot and a smooth and lightly sweet skin musk undergirding the whole thing. It is lovely and inspiring to me, a writer's desk under an open window in the earliest days of spring. Sweet, crisp, close. The longevity is as expected with the lighter, more ethereal DNA that seems to make up the Liis house but I catch wisps of it 8 hours later, leaving me chasing the fragrance around all day, just to hold on a bit longer. Love.

Fresh, sweet and juicy pear with musk, absolutely delicious. Just as good as Radiant Nectar, these two smell almost identical to me. I love both of them so much. But after having Radiant Nectar for about 6 months, it started to smell very weird and bad, sort of musty and bitter. After testing sample of Studied, I decided to buy the bottle and hoped that it won't do the same. Now I've own it for about 3 months, and it is starting to smell just like the rancid Radiant Nectar. In my understanding both of the brands make perfumes with "cleaner" ingredients, so could it be that the ingredients starts to go rancid faster or something? I don't know.. This makes me so sad, because these two perfumes are one of the best I've ever tried, signature scent worthy.

Crisp, juicy, syrupy, bright pear with a radiant warmth. Fresh yet so cozy. Delicate and so realistic. The dry down is a well-blended combo of orris, ambroxan, and cashmeran. Powdery, earthy, and fluffy. I have about 90 bottles in my collection, and this is the only one in the last two years I've finished(definitely re-bought). I overspray it(12 sprays) because it is definitely on the lighter side, and it becomes noticeable without being obnoxious. Also, it lasts forever on me this way. I rotate my scents a lot, but I reach for this one 50% of the time. Lends itself so well to layering; I practically layer it with every scent in my collection lol. Adds fruitiness and muskiness in a way that fills a gap in a scent you didn't know it had.

I got a discovery set including Bo, Of True Minds, Choux Choux, Ethereal Wave and Studied. Bo was my favourite for the Autumn/Winter season, and Studied is my go to for the warmer months - although I think the carrot note brings some warmness, and it could easily be worn for the cold season, making it the perfect signature scent. Coincidentally enough, my book club is reading Virginia Woolf’s A Room of One’s Own, which inspired the creation of this fragrance. I found it very feminine, like a blast of freshness and hint of sweetness on the right amount. Longevity was moderate - Last on my skin for almost 5 hours - what was much better than ethereal wave, that vanished in less than 30 min. Can wait to get a full bottle!

I lot of reviews are saying this scent is not super strong. I'd have to say that's my favorite part. I get a strong, juicy pear in the opening note that settles into a sweet skin musk. When spraying it on clothes, the pear lives longer and peaks through the other scents sporadically. I have found this scent to be quite approachable as someone who is new to perfume. I think the simplicity makes it quite easy to pick up daily, and it layers well with other scents of the same scent family. Lots of people are saying it's a spring scent, but the pear in this scent feels more fall-like. Fall being such a cuddly season, I think having such an intimate and low-profile scent on is quite a nice treat for those nearest to you.

As a kid in the 90s, my mom would tote me around the mall and I loved trying the different hand lotions and body sprays at victoria's secret. It all felt big and glamorous, kind of forbidden. I must have been 5? 6? And the pear glace lotion was my absolute favorite. Truly some of my earliest scent memories are of lathering that lotion up my arms and sniffing my skin all day long! To me, studied is the grown-up version: still sweet, warm, a little decadent, a little neutered. I'd buy a full bottle if the longevity wasn't, as many have noted, laughably horrible. Wish it reminded me of glossier you because I'd just buy that but they smell so, so different on my skin :( Would be my signature scent but simply too $$$

I really really love this smell! It truly smells like childhood and summer: fruity, warm, joyful and comforting with sweet pears, beach and sunshine. Very inoffensive too, a great office smell. I prefer it over Glossier you on my skin, as it doesn’t have the same red peppery and dry papery note. That being said, the projection and the sillage are both so low. I bought it as a tester and with its price I can sadly not defend buying it in full size, but I wish.. Update: I recently purchased God is a woman by Ariana Grande, and it has a very similar DNA, but with much stronger projection and lasting effect. Happy to say I can still enjoy this beautiful scent for a fraction of the price..

Gorgeous. Simple, elegant, lovely, chic, luxe, minimal, and upscale. Pricey but gorgeous. I really love this. Very “fresh out the shower” scent without it being boring. Pear is a heavy hitter but it’s a refreshing pear, not sweet or sickly. The carrot is what got me interested in the notes of this and I was really surprised actually I can smell it. It’s blended very well though and the carrot is a sweet juicy undertone, almost like carrot juice, as opposed to the root vegetable fresh out of the ground note I was expecting to smell if anything (which I do actually like lol). Dry down is absolutely gorgeous. Need a full bottle ASAP! Blind buy worthy for “clean girl scent” lovers!

Wow, of the 10 samples I purchased, this is going to be my first buy! I really wanted an adult skin scent that is gentle and comforting. I've realized that I actually prefer weaker scents (although I love my Bianco Latte and Dior Hypnotic Poison for winter), and this certainly does not have the sillage or longevity that many prefer in perfumes. However, it's worth it to me to apply this more often. This is faintly sweet but not cloying, almost tart, and lacking the pepper of Glossier You. Someone mentioned the Loreal Pear detangler and this does remind me of that scent but all grown up! I'm so excited to find a spring and summer scent that works for my body chemistry!

A simple, yet elegant and sweet fresh musk. Smelling it without looking at the notes it is almost leaning more towards a strawberry scent for me, but I still smell the fresh juicy pear in this. I already own and love ‘Sonic Flower’ by Room1015, so this is not worth buying for my part, BUT hear me out. If I didn’t already have that one, I think I would actually opt to buy this one instead. I like the slight sweetness in this one better, and it settles down on my skin like a fluffy light pink cloud. The only negative here is the same as other reviewers have commented as well. The longevity is rather poor, which is disappointing when the juice itself is so heavenly.

This is the perfect skin scent for me. For some reason JHAG Not a perfume and Glossier You do not mix well with my skin chemistry and smell synthetic. Nemat's Amber is okay, but I'd like a skin scent to be a tad bit stronger. Studied is perfect. I love love Ambrette and the juicy pear adds sweetness that I prefer having in a skin scent (rather than that dry, somewhat synthetic Iso E scent). The cashmeran adds a bit of warmth and amber scent and probably helps the perfume last a little longer. It's a lovely combination of notes I enjoy and is work and doctor's office safe. The only flaw is that you're going to need to have to reapply every 3-4 hours.

Studied is my favorite Liis fragrance so far. Take the best parts from Clean Reserve Radiant Nectar and Sparkling Sugar (the fruitiness) and mix it with the best parts from Glossier You (iris and ambrette), and you have Studied. Fruity and musky, perfect signature scent. I get some sweetness from the fruity notes, but it's not a candy sweetness. Cashmeran adds some warmth, but it's still quite fresh thanks to the fruitiness and musk. It's not a heavy fragrance by any means. The longevity is decent, I get 5-6 hours before it's a skin scent. Moderate projection. I love the minimalistic bottle too! 10/10.

Liis just makes the most beautiful scents. This one is no exception. The pear combined with musk and some faint hints of carrot and iris are beautifully blended. The lightness makes it a good reach for spring/summer, but it could also easily work for fall as well. I’m in love and need a fb ASAP! I have had a fb for about 2 weeks now and I realize a lot of people might disagree, but it really wears like a subtle gourmand. The carrot and pear combine to an almost slightly sweet pastry scent. Like carrot bread eaten outdoors in the fresh spring air. I love it, and I’m not a gourmand girlie.

This perfume is poetry. Quiet and intentional, it sits on the skin like having spent the morning in a dewy orchard, the warmth of the sun sitting patiently behind sheer metallic clouds. The smell of your book, its pages dampened from the warm humid exhale of the earth beneath you. Delicious. Juicy, but dignified. Musk clearing any possibility of cloying sweetness. Ambroxan being perfect, in accordance with routine. Now onto my second bottle, this was a sweet reunion. Anyone talking poorly about longevity hasn’t tasted tender, transient, ephemeral romance.

I am loving this. I am getting Pear Glace (VS) grown up. It's warm but juicy pear -- almost like a honeyed pear that just sits so pleasantly on the skin. It feels like an homage to all the body sprays I loved as a child, yet feels sophisticated and beautifully blended. If you yearn for Limited Too and VS sprays but wish it could be refined, Studied is it. the dry down is where I really smell the carrot and cashmeran notes. It feels like pear x carrot cake. Update: just recently smelled La Belle by JPG and this smells SO similar.

Gorgeous, but nearly identical to my other favorite: Fluer de Blonde (found at urban outfitters). It is uncanny how similar they are - but FdB is a fraction of the price. I see others comparing to Clean’s Radiant Nectar - I agree they’re in the same country, but Fluer de Blonde is literally the same zip code. Think a violet, powdery musk but with a very fresh and light flare. I associate this scent profile with springtime, when the grass is beginning to turn green again and trees are budding. It’s sweet, uplifting and feminine.

Bro people say this smells like Glossier You?? Idk if that’s completely fake or if I’ve reached a point where I’ve just smelled too much niche perfume. This to me smells exactly like Xerjoff Apollonia with a pear note. I actually get something pretty similar layering that perfume with Diptyque Ilio. Short of that, this on its own is incredibly special and unlike anything I’ve smelled before. If I didn’t already have the aforementioned combo in my collection, I’d buy a full bottle in a heartbeat...and I still might.

My absolute favorite pear. I don't really get the carrot note as strong as I would like, but it is overall an elegant, unique and enjoyable wear. I'm surprised by the person saying it smells like Father Figure, I find it extremely different. Father figure, to me, is an herbaly, unisex fig... I don't get much if any of that here but I bet they would layer well together. This is a sweeter pear than something like Pear Inc. or Another 13, but it's still very fresh and photorealistic, similar to cooked pears.

The perfect scent if you’re going for a “clean” vibe. Very intimate, the opening is like sinking your teeth into a freshly picked pear. So sweet but not in an overwhelming way, it sits close to the skin and you won’t be able to stop bringing your nose to your wrist. The kind of smell that will have people telling you “mmmm you smell good!” It’s easy to recognize the Glossier You/ Sonic Flower etc, but to me the fruitiness of this one just makes it stand out in a way that the others fail to accomplish.

Love this scent and is the easiest everyday reach. Musky, juicey, pear (love the carrot note) - friendly and versatile. Beautifully balanced. Some may have issues with longevity, but I enjoy changing scents up throughout the day. For me this is a better Glossier You as it has a bit more body than the current You reformulation. As for Bal D’Afrique IMO, as many love the scent, I think this is a better spend. Not exactly the same, but this less expensive for the same vibe, simpler, and cleaner.

PEARS! On paper, I smell a strong pear note. WAAAAYYYYYYYYYY better than GIAW which smells very synthetic and I returned. This smells very natural and I love. So I love this DNA. I have You and Musk K and I still want Sonic Flowers but I think I'd rather have this one as it really introduces the highlight of the pear. Musk K introduces clean laundry musk and You is the basic, sharper prototype. This is softer, like Sonic Flower, less iris note and more pear note.

What a beautifully feminine, soft, slightly sweet and musky fragrance. Its name does all the explaining. I love that this is a closer skin scent and reminds me of a classy book store drinking a heart shaped drink and reading a book. I can smell the paper pages and the pear musk right away. Drying down to a less sweet but creamy airy skin scent. It’s musky perfection. Don’t expect a ton of longevity and you will need to reapply every 2-3 hours but I love this.

This would get so many compliments if you could smell it without needing to shove your face into the wrist of the wearer. It's delicious, beautiful, clean, and slightly fruity, but after an hour it becomes near impossible to clock someone wearing it unless you do some major breaching of personal space. But if you are patient enough to carry this perfume in your purse and reapply every five minutes, it's a showstopper, especially during the summer. Love it.

Love at first sniff, new signature sent. When I first smelled this, my instant reaction was I feel like this is how everyone else views you by glossier I was never a ‘you’ girl. I just didn’t necessarily care for it, but this is something else. This is my next full bottle. It gives me the day version of midnight fleur by nest, which is sadly discontinued. Fruity, comfortable, light musk I can see how a lot of people are saying this is a spring scent.

The epitome of an everyday scent - like the perfectly cut white tee. Wore this to a dance class, reapplied for coffee after. It does fade fast and is expensive, so don't love that, but it's a beautiful, unique scent and something that feels transparent but with the right amount of complexity. More of a daytime wear and so inoffensive. Bought it on a whim but very happy I did. Cousin of Glossier You, but with more airiness and less pepper.

Obsessed. This was one that I had on my list for a long time, but didn’t want to pay full price. Finally got it and can do a proper spray down and I am obsessed. I thought it was too similar to Glossier You, but it’s not. The full wear, I get the fruitiness mixed with that musk mallow and carrot, like you, but it feels different enough to justify the purchase. Also the purchase, if they come out with body care or candles in this scent.

I can't really say how great the longevity is since I used a sample that had no atomizer but this perfume smells DELICIOUS. It's like Glossier You but more juicy and fruity - I love the pear note. Definitely less peppery, but I get a lot of ambroxan and iris in the drydown which I love. Might just be convinced to buy a bottle if it had better longevity! A travel size would be perfect if only Liis made those..

I was not expecting to love this as much as I do! I usually am a gourmande fan, and thought that Celestial Object would be the clear front runner from Liis, but honestly its a tie. I am not even sure how to describe this, it just smells good. It's kind of a skin scent with a little sweetness. It smells like relaxing in a cozy blanket and reading a book. It is a clean, slightly sweet, my skin but better scent.

Smells sooo much like god is a woman by ariana grande to me. Like the more grown up version. They’re so close that I don’t know if I’d run to buy a bottle of this since I already have god is a woman. However, if I didn’t, this would surely be on my shelf. I think the only major distinction is with the rose note in god is a woman. I love how distinct the pear note in this is. It’s such a clean sweet smell.

The best way to describe this is an airy, clean peach/pear/floral fragrance. The scent of a rich girl in her twenties or thirties shopping at a cute boutique store. Easy to wear on a daily basis. If you like Jo Malone's English Pear and Freesia, you'll probably love this. It's in the same family of fresh, floral fruity perfumes. Smell: 9 out of 10 Strength: 7 out of 10 Feminine For reference, I'm female.

This is the best your skin but better scent I have ever smelled. It’s like carrot and pear doing soft, glowy little dance together, sooo peaceful joyful and bright. 100/100 for the scent, it smells so good I’m actually going insane. Every single note in here is exactly what I’m obsessed with. But still not enough to make me buy it. The projection... I’d say it basically has none.

Cute and sweet but not too sweet. I would believe you if you told be this was part of the Glossier You family. It’s like her fruity little sister. It’s flirty and youthful with a really approachable dry down. There’s a little bit of fake tan smell somewhere in the back that I think is coming from the carrot but that’s so nostalgic I love it. She’s going on my full bottle list!

juicy, sophisticated, clean, enticing. this is one of my most used scents. it’s so fresh and i love smelling like a pear. longevity is horrible, as with most liis fragrances. that’s what you get with a light, low ingredient scent. i still bought a full bottle and spray 4-5 times when i want a subtle scent day. lasts longer on clothes. plus their bottles are gorgeous.

my first thought was Glossier You but more pear and maybe slightly more grown up - glad others seem to feel the same. wow. this is so, so, so pretty. the fresh-cut pear note is beautiful and hangs on for a surprisingly long time, then settles down to a lovely lightly fruity iris + ambroxan "skin scent". not too musky on me, just smells like a really good hug lol :)

really lovely sweet juicy pear (specifically an asian pear) which slowly evolves into sweet, musky skin scent. well-balanced and honestly delicious. longevity and sillage is pretty minimal, but I find it perfect for work (very unoffensive) or as a bedtime scent. fresh, refreshing, light and airy, and perfect for all seasons but especially summer and spring.

like a deeply elevated glossier you to me, perhaps smelling more like the og than new formulation? the pear opening is sweet and fruity in a super non cloying/non gourmand way that i really love. i find that this lasts all day on me and i can always smell it pretty well. not sure how great the projection is but definitely an all timer for me!

My new daily scent for the office. It’s so comforting and warm yet bright at the same time, it really is like biting into a pear and sitting in a pool of sunlight. This actually lasts a good while on my skin, I still get whiffs of it 8+ hours after i first spray it. It does stay close to the skin, but that’s part of why I love this scent.

Liis Studied is such a lovely skin scent! Like others have said, juicy is probably the best descriptive for this. The musk comes thru just enough to balance the sweetness. It reminds me of catching my skin after being in the sun. I just wish it lasted longer and came in a larger bottle for the price point-- 50ml is not gonna last me long.

This perfume might be my favorite smell in the world. It's a perfect 'fresh out of the shower' perfume that smells clean without being soapy. The pear + musk combo is innocent in an elegant, academic way. Feels like spring sweaters, tiny flowers, and sun pouring into a high-ceilinged library. Grey, in a comforting way. Collegiate.

Studied is a juicy pear/ambrette skin scent. The carrot and iris give it more complexity and nuance compared to others in the same category. If you own Clean's Radiant Nectar you don't need this as they are almost the same to my nose. I wish it leaned less sweet but I still enjoy this when I want something fruity. 7/10

Gorgeous scent but as others mentioned the longevity isn't there for skin wear but I think that's more or less how skin scents perform. It's not meant to be beast mode fragrance and should sit close to the skin. I do think for the price this is a bit on the high end - but for those that can, should buy it :)

god, i love this fragrance so much, it is 100% signature scent worthy. i just hate the price and the longevity is SO bad. regardless, this is the cozy scent of my dreams! this scent is THE perfect skin scent because its sparkly sweet and fruity, but not overly so as it has this earthy and warm feel.

The pear top note reminds me specifically of an Asian pear. It’s crisp, juicy, sweet, and refreshing. When the top note fades, I get the likeness to Glossier You, but Studied is sweeter and doesn’t have that burnt pencil shavings note. I love this fragrance so much. It’s perfectly fresh and musky.

My new everyday scent. The pear is so juicy. The the opening is a bit too sweet, but the dry down is delicate and delightful. No artificial fruit scent, unlike JAG Pear Inc. in my option. Purchased a full bottle and intend on layering with Bo or some other woody/vanilla scents on occasion.

This smells exactly like Le Monde Gourmand Fleur de Blonde, which is far less expensive. Lovely, light, softly fresh and sweet without being syrupy. I get pear and musk, not much else. Pretty, but I bought a full bottle before realizing I can get the same scent for far less money.
