Capelli D'Oro

On the first spray I found it hard to detect the perfume, I was like, what scent is this? I could barely smell anything.... Maybe around 3 minutes then the scent started to bloom, and it was fruity floral green scent, which lasted around 8 hours on me, with moderate silage. I think this scent is in the same vein with Diptyque L'ombre, but without the famous blackberry and blackberry leaves notes, instead Capelli d'Oro uses tangerine to give sourness into the composition. This turns out to be a crowd pleaser, and to be fair, Diptyque edp does it better, because its performance is a beast, Capelli d'Oro seems tame and shy, though it is a pleasant olfactory journey.

Seems to be going for modern fresh and clean, but with quality blending. Not offensive on me like fresh and clean usually is, but still not spectacular for my skin chemistry. Getting a vibe of Chanel, that sort of underlying commonality in Chanel ladies perfumes? Same, a little to clean, rose and citrus as from Mademoiselle? This is definitely better than Chanel though. Blackcurrant leaf is prominent, but everything around it is a little bit to sharp, a little bit to much contrasted. It seems to want to evoke walking in the hills a warm day in spring, but the flowers are to flat and the green is to bright. All around to clean. At the same time, considering that it is pushing the clean so much, not bad at all. Especially if you, like me, really don’t get along with the fresh and clean category. PS: The paper tester smells very nice. More rounded, not creamy, but definitely not sharp either. More a soliflore rose. Not so far of 4 Reines by L’Occitane. I wouldn’t have minded that happening on my skin, but ̄_(ツ)_/ ̄

This is the one of only two perfumes that nauseated me so much I had to get rid of them. The smell is so overwhelming and, to me, disgusting that I could not handle wearing it at all. It genuinely has made me feel sick.

Orange citrus and apples. Sweet oranges, grapefruits, black current, and roses. It is mostly fresh at the beginning but then (5 minutes later) it goes kind of heavy and dark with the musk, jasmines, and cedar.
