Neiges

(This review is for Eau de Perfume) Sparkly, crystal, and effervescent, Neiges reminds me of a delicate snowflake. This illusion is created by the tender and fresh floral bouquet floating on the snowy-white wings of the gentle aldehydes. The composition appears to defy the gravity. It is soft, light and beautiful. The composition starts with the fresh and crisp notes of hyacinth, lily of the valley, magnolia and orange blossom. The soft, gentle and slightly soapy aldehydes appear next. The contrast of soft floral and crispy fresh is lovely. It’s like a breeze of the fresh air on a winter day. The scent remains light, airy and soapy floral in the heart notes with the dominance of jasmine and magnolia. The dry down is chic and slightly soapy musk. This lovely perfume has decent sillage and longevity. I definitely recommend it if you enjoy tender floral bouquets with light and slightly soapy aldehydes.

Decided to give this one a try after walking past it countless times and anyway ,the bottle is so pretty. Cannot believe how fabulous this one is. So different and sparkly then softens into a warm cozysweater feel.It was the perfect day to try it as it was very cold and a rain and snow mix going on. Bought it within 5 mins which is not something I do very often as I like to let it settle. Got outside and the wind just kept throwing the scent back up to my nose. God it's good and for that reason it has to be a cold weather scent for me. Fitted the day just perfectly. When I got home and much later into the evening my husband asked what it was. Hadn't mentioned that I'd been out buying as my collection is growing but he noticed it and it was a huge hit with him tellIng me it was a classic and "me". He has loved some of my fumes enough to say so but never had this reaction! Lasts for hours. Love it.

This perfume is very special to me. I grew up in Canada and I remember the first time I smelled this back home in my 20's, it smelled almost magical to me. My mom (still lives in Canada) bought me a bottle. I will never part with it as it feels like home to me. The first spray is an initial blast of bold flowers(lily of the valley mostly) then it dries down to a nice soapy sent. As one member commented "like Dove soap" and it really does. I wear it in summer and winter because it's a beautiful floral. I think it would be a safe blind buy and a must for all lovers of floral scents.

This is floral but the first thing you think is snow and winter. Great longevity and sillage. It reminds me of Anais Anais with the strong florals, just different kinds. Its girly and pretty. I noticed a change in the ones around 2017 Xmas, which was both in scent and colour. But I don't know if there was a reformation or just a different batch made. I also have the shimmering dry oil which is packed with beautiful micro holographic glitters. Love this perfume and will always rebuy.

MMmmmm..Just picked this scent out of hundreds to choose from. Such a beautiful scent. Its very comforting and cozy. It would work best for Winter time. This is not a scent I would typically choose, but oh my, I just totally fell in love. Loved this instantly :) Its definitely for someone with a more mature scent taste. I don't think a younger lady would appreciate this as much as a more mature lady but you never know. Go try this!! Seriously! <3

I just repurchased Neiges after losing track of my OG bottle a decade ago and really missing it. I don’t have the best nose, but I’m baffled that so many people say Neiges isn’t sweet. It’s very sweet to me, from start to the middle. Not a gourmand sweetness, but a powdery sweetness. It does read a bit old-ladyish, but many of the powdery musks I like do.

Beautiful perfume!!!! Lovely lovely lily-of-the-valley!!!! It's my favourite flower, and it smells heavenly in this gorgeous fragrance! So strong, vibrant, potent!! This is the very first of Lise Wattier's perfumes I have tried (or even heard of!), and I'm completely bowled over!!! It's gorgeous!! Very sparkling, fresh and powerful. Neiges! Sublime!!!

Is it normal to own this perfume and love it at the age of 24 ??? I have seen reviews where ppl are telling that this scent is for 40+ or older ladies. I donno if it is normal to love this perfume at my age ... Snow and winter are my fav weather of the year and this perfume gives such a nice feeling of winter all year long LOL. [OCT/27/2011]

mmm I love this fragrance! No other scent so subtly takes me to cold winter days curled up in a warm sweater by the window and watching the snow fall. My Mother used to own this one when it first came out and I think I may have used most of the bottle on her! I'm definitely on the search for a bottle of this for my own collection!

Neige is a unique 100% Canadian perfume. If snow had a scent it would be Neiges............ A truly one of a kind fragrance with its own signature scent. There's absolutely no almond notes in Neiges-not one. This is a strictly lily-of-the-valley mesmerizing blend of notes along with jasmine and hyacinth. Simply icy gorgeous..

Update! I finally did get the EDT and lotion. Love! I understand the snow analogy, if snow could have a pretty scent, this would be it. White flowers and freshness, not laundry soap at all IMO. A little like JLo's Glow, that's a good thing. For me, this is absolutely a winter scent. It is comforting and feminine--

One of my favorite perfumes. I got it when I went to Canada-it's Canadian and it's not exported, not even in the USA. This is perfumed snow in a bottle. Icy sweet with a trail of powdered musk. You only need a little, it has amazing longevity. If Snowhite wore a perfume, this would be it..

This is one of my most treasured fragrances. I adore it. The opening is subtle and floral - really lovely. It dries down to have the most beautiful powder and soap notes that are clean and somehow modern. This is a refined and elegant fragrance.

Allasouli matiamou... there is no age for a fragrance. In my opinion, either it suits your chemistry and personality or it does'nt... I wore it at your age and still love it now! Go for it! Shall write review on this beauty!!!

Reminds me of just stepping out of the shower. So fresh and clean smelling. I kind of reminds me of if flowers were to grow in the snow. Lol. Guess that's what they were going for by the name though.

Reminds me of Christmas Eve!! I'd say it's a lovely scent for all occasions and times of the year, definitely for people over 18 who are over wearing hoodies and sweatpants. It's very calming :3.

I have my eye on this one! I want it sooooo bad!!! The bottle is even gorgeous with the pretty snowflakes. AW!

Lise Watier is a Canadian brand, one I had never heard of before spending time in Canada. Neiges is their most well-known perfume, and I have been assured by locals that Neiges is a Canadian classic - affordable and easy to find. It fits the vibe to perfection - an understated, elegant feminine scent that reflects its name, evoking the quiet stillness of snow. Loud perfumes are a faux pas in Canada, with many workplaces restricting their use, so it is unsurprising that Neiges has endured for over three decades. Neiges is a clean, musky white floral, soapy and bright. Neiges opens with a soft white floral accord, led by clean, green-tinged lily-of-the-valley. There is an aldehydic quality to the opening, imbuing it with a soapy brightness, but it is much softer than Estée Lauder White Linen, for example. Hyacinth, the scent of springtime, adds body, but its typical waxy intensity is muted here. Creamy magnolia follows, lightweight and slightly aquatic, and the clean musk comes to the fore as the soft aldehydes subside, marrying beautifully with the soft white florals. It becomes powdery as it develops, with clean, subtle jasmine emerging alongside a hint of rose. Soft woody notes creep in as it fades, leaving a hint of soapy musk on my skin. Sillage and longevity are moderate at a push. It is a feminine daytime scent, ideally worn as winter fades into spring. There is no synthetic greyness here - it is high-quality throughout. Subtle, safe and effortlessly elegant, Neiges is a classic for a reason. A cream cashmere jumper in perfume form, cosy and chic. 4/5.

Shmoflakes I tested this over the weekend. I actually liked it. You might say that I sound surprised. Well, I am. The fragrance was for sale in a hotel gift shop--a relatively high end place (Biltmore Inn, Asheville, NC) that would probably sell Creed if they could. I imagine the typical shopper for this place is a woman in her 50s and/or 60s who has a fair amount of money to spend. I was expecting something that would be boring, conservative, and safe. I was wrong. Neiges is unique. I don't think I've ever smelled anything like it. Sweet in a very fresh way, Neiges is a fluffy and fizzy floral. At the beginning, I catch a little bit of the orange blossom, but that fades away, and the white musk and other flowers take over. The rose enriches and sweetens what would otherwise be just another screaming white floral, thus running the risk of smelling sour. I have to say that I don't really get the whole snowflake thing. Yes, I could describe the smell as fluffy and cooling, but that's as close as Neiges gets to the feeling of snow in my book. To me, Neiges smells like a perfect late spring/early summer fragrance. I didn't even notice the snowflakes until I looked up the fragrance after testing it. I skimmed right past it, too, because of the snowflakes. In the end, I enjoyed the fragrance. It was different and fun. As others have mentioned, the longevity wasn't there. But, with all the layering products Lise Watier sells in this line, you can definitely get the scent to last longer.
