Lucky Number 6 for Men

So Ive had Lucky no. 6 for nearly a year now. When I first smelled it expecting to smell something atleast a tiny bit Similar to Fahrenheit edt like folks had been claiming, I thought "Well some people MUST have a broken noses" bc there was NOTHING in here reminding me of Fahrenheit in ther slightest. Infact it smelled sorta "Generic/Rack-Store" to me and I haven't sprayed it since then. Stored my bottle away in its box and basically forgot about it. Well just pulled it back out now after about a year completely forgetting about the "Fahrenheit association", sprayed some on my shirt just so I could maybe remember what it smelled like and then during the dry-down when I wasnt paying attention, suddenly I got what folks were talking about! YES! Im getting slight Fahrenheit vibes! WTH?! LOL! Then I remembered that folks were comparing Lucky Number 6 to it! Now of course its NOT a one to one, but dangit if It now doesn't reminded of Fahrenheit! (again during dry-down). Also there's is absolutely NOTHING "Warm/Spicey" about this scent atleast to my nose, so the comparisons to Tom Ford's-Plum Japonais are completely lost on me (As was the Fahrenheit comparisons🤔 LOL!) but I digress... I suppose that the juice needed some air introduced into the bottle so it could "Maturate" or I was simply in a different head space back then, idk, but Lucky Number 6 is quite nice now to my nose and is different enough to Fahrenheit to justify owning if you already own Fahrenheit. Also, I dont go "Nose-Blind" to Lucky Number 6 like I IMMEDIATELY do with Fahrenheit. 5 hours on skin (Same as current Fahrenheit edt) and ofcourse longer on clothes. Neat little Asian inspired bottle/Box too which looks super cool on my shelf! Me Gusta Mucho!😉

This instantly became one of my favorite scents ever. It's a shame it took me almost 20 years to discover it. It is warm, comforting and very relaxing. I've worn Fahrenheit on and off since it was first released in the late 80's and that is a scent people either seem to love or don't like at all. Lucky Number 6 is not as bold as Fahrenheit is, but I can see the parallel. When I was younger, my father gave me this glazed cherry wood jewelry box and no matter how many times I opened it, the scent of the wood flew at me in a most pleasant way. This scent reminds me of that box. There is an incense essence to it, but not in a generic incense smell that comes from cheap dollar store incense sticks. This is a warmer, mysterious, ancient kind of incense scent profile. This is what the Chinatown antique shop in the beginning of Gremlins would have smelled like, and I just love it. It isn't a beast mode powerhouse scent and doesn't make itself known nearly as much as Fahrenheit, the latter of which creates a six foot cloud around the wearer for hours, but it does radiate enough for intimate encounters, and I think that is what Lucky Number 6 was created for. I bought a second bottle of this while I still could because I don't think it is going to last long, seeing as I spray this on myself almost every night before bed. Studies show that different scents can have an effect on how long it takes someone to fall asleep, as well as their overall sleep quality. Spraying this on myself and the pillow at night before bed helps me relax and quiet my brain from the daily chaos so I can fall asleep easier.

My initial impression was that this fragrance was okay; not great, not bad, nothing special, but good for the price. I liked it, but I was somewhat disappointed with the flat-plum note which I found to be nothing like the juicy plum note one finds in fragrances such as juicy Atelier Vetiver Fatal and Tom Ford Plum Japonaise. Then again, those fragrances are many times the suggested retail price of this one. Anyway, I felt that it smelled as though McDonald's took a stab at making plum jelly. Sure, it's kind of plummy...but it's McDonald's and certainly not a delicious English Plum Jam. Well, fast-forward several years and I am still wearing Lucky Number 6, I am still enjoying this fragrances, and I love it more and more every year. I don't wear it all that often due to the number of fine fragrances in my Scent Armory, but Lucky 6 is certainly one of my top inexpensive fragrances (under $30) of all-time; it's just a terrific smelling scent for such a small price. Okay, performance isn't the greatest as it sits fairly soft and lasts about 4-6 hour on my skin. However, I do occasionally receive compliments while wearing this scent and nobody has found it offensive. In some ways Lucky Number 6 reminds me of CK One Shock...not because they smell the same, but because they surprise the wearer with how much an inexpensive fragrance can make them smile.

Some dude down there, two or three below this one, said not to expect any compliments. Well, I don't know where he's hanging out at, but I had babes complimenting me all night the first time I wore it. One woman even said, "I could go to sleep with THAT smell." These were gorgeous women, too. I didn't get any less compliments than I do with my Creed Aventus. If you've got on the right threads, where you appear to mean business, and your scent trail is Lucky Number, then you will not be going home alone, my friend ... guaranteed! This is a top-notch panty-dropper! The ONLY drawback is that you have to refresh more often than usual, but it's so inexpensive, who cares? P.S. The reviewer down there also said Lucky Number 6 has a good sprayer, and it doesn't ... at all. So maybe he wrote his review on "backwards day." P.P.S. By the way, the fine, young lady who wanted "to sleep with that smell" ... SHE DID!

A few years ago I picked this up in the mini version with knowledge of the notes, in the hope that my boyfriend would wear it. I opened it after purchasing since it wasn't a gift per se then sniffed it and kept it for myself! It's deliciously peppery in an only slightly sweet way; uncomplicated, well-blended, and wearable any time depending on whether I go for one squirt (daytime) or two (nighttime). Lucky 6 is not light but, to my nose, not heavy. Instead, it's a scent that comes off like the smell of preparing blackened chicken in your kitchen on a cast iron skillet---mouth-watering, spicy, sharp at first, and then disperses everywhere with an evenly warm olfactory melange. A good one.

Read reviews before buying a fragrance, but take them with a grain of salt as well. Everyone has their own opinion regarding smells. Some people love it. Some people hate it. My advice is for you to get a sample of ANY fragrance before you ever buy it. That way you can assess it for yourself and have your own thoughts, rather than strictly going off of someone else's thoughts and opinions. I loved Lucky Number 6 ever since I first smelled it as a child. It is an affordable, woody, spicy, plum fragrance for guys to enjoy. I highly recommend it.

This isn't a club banger or a complement monster, in fact the longevity and projection are well below average. No, this is an intimate fragrance and it's absolutely beautiful. I'm gonna go ahead and say it; this fragrance is for sexual encounters. Strait up. Plum, sandalwood and patchouli. It's an aphrodisiac for you and your partner. Can be used for a romantic date as well, NOT a first date. Buy it. It's so cheap, it's criminal not to have in your arsenal.

This is a very good mature smell that anyone can wear. Sweet oriental Incense olfactory heaven.. it's seriously soothing, warming, calming, like therapeutic. You have to try this on a chill day alone or outside work etc to see how you like it. I suggest dab a little on wrist bc the waft is amazing. I would only wear this in winter. One of the best unusual smells... it has WOW factor but you can't be expecting curve or aqua di gio ... and I mean that!

my husband use to have this and it's driving my crazy !!! veryvery clean and sexy, floral-fruity, not sweet but very juicy. it's spriding soft trails as yummmy to bite ! for the selfconfident man who doesn't need to underline his masculinity with harsh spicy scents. definiitely a winner ! oh yeah, he told me girls on work are complimenting too! the bottle is soooo nice, wish there was one for woman out there like this.

Spicy plum with some wood this stuff is just beautiful guys. I believe this is a hidden masterpiece. There is nothing bad or offensive about it just smells damn good. Price is also very reasonable My wife also really likes this scent. I have not purchased or smelled Dior Fahrenheit but if it smells like this you are damn right I am going to try it. I give this one a 10/10 it is a compliment machine.

Now imagine Dior Fahrenheit but if you replaced the leather note with plum, That's your result. This stuff smells great and gets compliments but doesn’t last. Very fruity and sweet in the opening, dries down into a woody creamy smell with that beautiful plum note in the background.

My husband wears this and it smells sooo good on him! Warm, woody, a little sweet.. very sexy! He's gone through a few bottles of this and they don't always smell the same. Sometimes the plum comes through, sometimes it doesn't. It always smells great though!

This is a nice fragrance that lives up to the supposed plum note. Warm spicy with that deep plum makes this a fun wear. Longevity on my bottle is terrible 4 sprays general wear, but it's very mass appealing.

i got this for my “masc days” and it’s quickly turned into a comfort fragrance. i half expected it to be sharp and a little offensive to the nose as some men’s fragrances are but i was pleasantly surprised

My first fragrance, well over a decade ago. This thing just rocks. I love this scent, and it performs very well on my skin. Vibe: Fahrenheit but with sweetened plum juice instead of gasoline

After 1st initial wearing this reminds me of a more mature,sweet curve. I loved curve for a while but soon got tired of it. If I had found this frag at the time I was looking for a replacement this frag would have been perfect. In my fragrance journey at this point tho its very pleasant but after smelling things like Aventus,New Haarlem,Green Irish Tweed and things like that this cologne is only ok. Its still very pleasant though(EXCEPT for the opening which is horrid and almost caused me to immediatly wash this off) and im sure people will enjoy this. It has an old school 90's smell thats sweet,clean and slightly warm. Kind of a strange smell but strange in a good way. Id rate this a 6.75 out of 10 ! SO FAR(This may change after spending some time with this) After wearing this its pretty simple. Like I said its got the 90's feel and after giving it a full wearing I know what this reminds me of. Its like a more mature,sweet curve mixed with a toned down Fahrenheit. I do really like this scent and I know this is going to be a scent that the more I wear it the more im going to like it. Its great for the price but it does have some downfalls. And those cons are performance. It only lasts 4 hours with very soft projection. People are probably only going to be able to smell you in passing and if there really close. But for those reasons it would be great for the office or just going out to run errands. Versatility isnt exactly its strong point either. Because of its warmth and spices I dont see it being good in the summer and because of the scent strength I dont see this lasting or even being detectable in the winter. So really this will only be good for the cooler months(Spring and Fall) My rating still stands. Really pleasing scent for a really good price but this isnt all that versatile and has below average performance I want to give it a higher rating because it is unique as well as smelling pleasant but this just doesnt have the performance Rating.... 6.75 out of 10 !!!

I bought this bottle based upon reviews...it was cheap and I thought the flacon was pretty handsome. Surprise, surprise. Knightz (as pointed out by flannelman), is spot on with his review of the notes, composition and the olfactory breakdown. My boys (who take Taekwon-do and have a passion for scent) saw it and I gave a few sprays each to them - they loved it! We call it "The Dragon". Although it is rather light in depth - the notes are very nice (albeit a touch synthetic - but that doesn't bother me). I love the plum note, which gives this a nice opening and heart along with the neroli. Knightz's review touches on a lot more notes, which are in this bottle. Definitely oriental in vibe, smell and visually (from the flacon) - but imminently wearable and just a fun, very decent bottle of juice for the price. The longevity isn't there, but just apply more! My boys like it so much (and were borrowing it all the time), so I ended up surprising my older with a big bottle (100ml) and my younger one with a smaller (50ml) bottle - which he wanted. Among their growing wardrobe, those two bottles sit in the middle. How does a scent this inexpensive get a near 4.00 rating here on Fragrantica from over 170 people scoring it? Simple - it is a solid designer fragrance and one I recommend to anyone who wants a nice, fresh oriental with a little uniqueness that they can spritz on and go - wearable year-round, day or night. My rating is "like" and I won't give a score out of 10, but a recommendation to buy blind. This is something just nice to have around. Great scent for out of the shower...and into the bed with your lover. Cheers.

Out of all the cheap, bad fragrances out there, this one really stands out as a steal in my opinion. To start, the presentation is really unique and different. The bottle is designed really well, and it has a pump lock instead of a cap, which is different. There's no question that the overall design of the bottle was well thought out, but what about the fragrance itself? Well, while it may not be as appealing and unique as the bottle, it's honestly a nice surprise to me. It starts with a really strong blast of plum in the opening, and can be kind of harsh to the nose if smelled up close. The opening isn't my favorite part of this, but after about 20 or 30 minutes, this stuff really starts to shine. It turns into a totally different fragrance, as a calming sandalwood note mixed with some spices and sweetness emerges. This combination mixed with the opening plum note, which begins to take a back seat, creates a very nice and calming scent. Projection and longevity aren't its strong suits though, and after a couple hours it starts to sit very close to the skin, but people have still told me they can smell my scent trail, so it's not all that terrible. It just doesn't really project out that far, but considering it's so cheap, you can always re apply and wait for the wonderful dry down again. My final verdict is that for 20 to 25 bucks, this is a solid little fragrance that will please most everyone who comes in contact with it, especially in the dry down. Solid, cheap fragrance.

This is an absolute blind buy. Dark, spicy, and seductive, yet calming and almost medicinal. This one stands out in a crowd, but it's guaranteed not to offend anyone. It shares little similarities with Curve, and yet it doesn't smell outdated at all. It also has a lot in common with Dior Fahrenheit as well. A scent ahead of its time, perhaps, and still perfectly modern today - with a bit of "vintage" flare. It's stronger and longer lasting than you would think, and it projects further than the soft scent would imply. The plum compliments the spice notes well in this one, and the smooth sandalwood ties the plum and spices together nicely. It's well balanced, but the spice notes are what stand out the most. Many have compared this scent to Dior Fahrenheit when I wear it, but it does plenty on its own to stand apart. Anyone who loves this cologne should also try Bora Bora Exotic, which is also from Liz Claiborne. They're very similar, but Bora Bora Exotic's rubbery leather notes make it more similar to Dior Fahrenheit. Bora Bora Exotic is brighter, with more contrast. It's slightly less woody and doesn't share any of the Curve similarities. It's more modern and outgoing, while this is more medicinal and relaxing. Overall, this is a very nice scent! It'll be hard for me to choose between this and Bora Bora Exotic. For the price, this is a definite blind buy! Bora Bora Exotic is a safe blind buy as well, if you really enjoy this scent and would like something similar.
