Bois Flotté Eau de Parfum

I used to live alongside the ocean in Pacific Grove, California where I worked for the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I have DEARLY missed the scent of my walks back everyday with my small, creme, Tibetan Spaniel. This is the CLOSEST smell (without fishiness, of falling back on whale ambroxen) to the ocean I've ever had. It's simply the BEST aquatic, ocean smell perfume-cologne available. The location where L'Occitane works from in France is WELL-renowned as "the town of flowers". It's gorgeous. I have two bottles its so wonderful. This is THE most beautiful, pleasant ocean-smelling perfume available. Absolute favorite.

This smells exactly like the ocean. This has strong notes of algae, seaweed and sea salt for me. The drift wood is very fresh and blends nicely with everything. It does not smell anything like aqua di gio or dolce gabbana light blue. I can't compare it to any other designer fragrance. Bois Flotté is a strikingly realistic smell of swimming in the ocean. 9/10 for me! I would give it a 10/10, but the projection is somewhat on the weak side, sitting very close to the skin.

Sad that they discontinued this fragrance. I adore this scent, its fresh, but warm and cozy, but also intoxicating. the longevity is alright, not super great, but alright.

This fragrance is great for summer, green notes show themselves very uniquely. I liked it. It made me happy overall 7.5/10

Interesting sea scent, I tried using it over summer, but it does not project at all.

Got it for 150. Pretty nice dosent last that long, but it’s okey. 7/10

A nice fragrance and it's not a popular one, so you can stand out

This scent is classified as really an aquatic juice. And sure, this is right. No need for corrections. And so it is also preferred as a summer fragrance. And sure, who can differ. But hey, when I used it during this new year, skiing in cold winter temperatures, it turned out very well and adapted almost seamlessly to the winter surroundings with ice, low light, northern winds, and the falling of snow. But how could this be? The answer may be found in the fact that citrus is excluded as an ingredient leaving the full bodied warm spicy woody scent unobstructed which is definitely the attractive core message in this perfume. Wood and winter go very well together and I now wouldn ́t hesitate a second to recommend this quality fragrance on the afterski scene in an alpine setting. So folks, keep on ripping while smelling cool!

Very realistically captures the smell of mediterranean seaside, the most realistic fragrance from my experience. You get that smell of first time driving near the sea and rolling your car window down and getting that first whiff of mediterranean sea. Performance is average, lasts about 4-6 hours on me. My second favorite aquatic after Imaginary Authors - Every Storm a Serenade. I'd only wear it in Spring or Summer though, not full year around.

Smells like sitting on a driftwood log against a cobblestone beach as waves crash upon the shore on a warm summer or spring day. Salty, woody, and seagrass/algae perfectly evokes the ocean.

Salty, woody, aquatic, marine scent. I smell some salty melon with calone and ambregris (or ambroxan). Half way between Nautica Voyage and D&G Light Blue Intense.

Most realistic sea scent there is out there. Smells unironically like you're standing on the middle of a beach.
