Eau de Cedrat

Yes, this is masculine but I am wearing it today, sitting by the pool on a hot day. It’s beautiful. Starts citrusy, then blends into dry woods. It’s very pleasant. It’s a beautiful fragrance. Simple and elegant but beautiful. To me it is masculine but I definitely think this could have been marketed as unisex. It’s not so masculine that it screams spices and deep musk. It’s very subtle. It is not loud and therefore doesn’t project a lot but you feel it when the wind hits your skin, it almost opens up more. Recommend.

As woman, I love to wear it. I don't like citrus fragrances but this perfume is about something else. Citrus yes, but there is lots of nutmeg and woody scent, too and the citrus part is also well-balanced. Never thought I'd like it... But yes. :) The scent gives a kind of freedom/good weather/clean and natural feeling. Recommended to free spirits and elegant office workers as well because of the perfume's balanced character.

One of L'Occitane's best! Even though this is marketed as a men's fragrance, I love to wear it in the summer. Cedrat opens with an intoxicating blend of citrus and nutmeg, and then warms down into a sexy woody scent. It's one of those scents that grabs your attention and then draws you in. It is not as long lasting as some of L'Occitane's other scents, however it is worth it. The sillage is moderate.

Citrus and woods. Starts more citrusy and less woodsy then slowly starts to swap places. Both are very pleasant and blended well. Great frag for really hot days or to feel fresh and clean before bedtime. Average projection and poor longevity but for the price you can afford to respray.

Buy perry ellis night for 40$ cheaper. 99% identical with the bright citrus, and if you only like that bright citrus smell, perry ellis keeps that scent through the dry down. while this uses citron and bergamot, perry ellis uses blood orange and Yuzu which comes off almost identical.

Opens with a great citrus but within an hour or so dries down to a still ok but a bit boring wood. Conisdering quality ingredients and holding back on agressive chemicals as per company creed, I think it comes out to be lookworthy, at least for some purists or aesthetes.

Incredible product. I have the alcohol free deodorant stick. The fragrance is great 👍 Similar to some other citrus ones but without doubt this is on a different level. Highly recommend 👌

This is a good product. It makes me feel happy, the marketing is on point. Image: France. A lighthearted adventure in the country with good friends. It's spring or summer and the sun is gentle and bright. The windswept prairie on the hill is carrying the aroma of yellow flowers. You can smell lemons being sold at the market. Beneath the hill, the sea is calm and the clouds provide welcome coolness. The ground is firm and comfortable and there is a tall tree. You're heading back to town after an hour or two, ready to explore the rest of the area. As you head back, you realize you are enjoying a stroll which will be remembered for years to come. Lemony citrus blast at first. Some green and herbal support in the background of the opening. Powder or sweetness comes into play a few minutes later, complimenting the citrus as it fades away. The brief contact with the sweet notes and the lemon is excellent--too bad it doesn't last long. Then, it turns woody and sweet. Relaxing. It encourages you to keep wearing it. I'll admit that at first it makes feel a bit uncomfortable--the opening is bit rough and sharp. Overly bright, I think. It is harsh for an introduction. Sillage is fair if in a warm and windy open area. Longevity is disappointing, but forgivable. Price to product ratio is poor, should be at least 30% more than 3.4 oz in EDT. The bottle has an appreciable, simple look. Something you'd expect to find in an older but well kept house in the country. It is "rustic". Overall, a safe blind spray. Just make sure not to put on more than 3 or 4 sprays, as this cologne can be overwhelming during its short life. Elegant, simple. Evokes feelings of being natural, within nature.

I received a bottle of this as a Christmas present a few years ago; friends and family assume I like any citrusy smell and this would have been a safe present for me :D At first I didn't really like the powdery, candy-like sweetness of this fragrance, which surfaces after the initial slightly bitter bergamot blast, which doesn't last more than a few minutes; while obviously smelling citrusy, citron can be very sweet and not tangy nor sparkling like lemon, lime or yuzu. I revisited this fragrance during the last few days and I think I appreciate more, now, it's bubble-gummy sweetness which is layered and supported by nice wood notes, especially the cashmeran; the transition between the citrusy and woody accords is remarkably well done. I also get some faint white-floral vibes around twenty to thirty minutes after spraying, which make this scent smell clean, like fresh laundry drying in the sun. Even when oversprayed, is not cloying or offensive, and usually is complimented nicely by people. This one must be tested before purchasing, as you may not be expecting a sweet citrusy scent, but if you like the genre, Eau de Cedrat is an interesting fragrance for the summer. Longevity is mediocre (no more than 4-5 hours on me), although it projects nicely around you and more so if you overspray a bit.

Gendering scents is funny sometimes... the back of the packaging for Eau de Cedrat says it is composed of "eminently masculine" citron and is ideal for a "dynamic and active man living life in the fast lane"! Well, I'm not a man, and I enjoy this quite a bit! This opens up super bright with zesty lime-ginger-bergamot notes, really invigorating and fresh, then settles down with a hint of cedar. That nice woody base makes it longer-lasting and a bit more present than a lot of fresh scents targeted at women. On my skin, it dries down into a base of sandalwood and a little bit of herbal-ness (think fresh green tea). You don't have to live in the fast lane to enjoy Eau de Cedrat—I think it's just as nice on a quiet summer day. Smells like: Zesting a lime to make key lime pie.

My husband hasn’t worn any fragrance for the last year that he’s been working at home. Didn’t realize I missed it on him... until he wore this yesterday. It was heavenly. I think he has the perfect body chemistry to wear this type of scent. This doesn’t smell as good in the air, or on paper or even on me. But on him... wow! Citrusy at first, with a soft cedar and powder dry down. Just really clean. I think this is a “your skin but better scent”, which always makes any scent sexy. Even if it’s just a “clean” scent. It really can be considered unisex but I think anybody can wear anything they want if they like it. And if it works on you... rock it!

Great quality, Good smell, not fabulous, At first, you get a strong citric smell, like lemon, almost like a lemon cleanser for floors, but is good. When its dry, you get a nice woody smell, very fresh. and after some hours.. you get a warm smell, woody... and almost like chocolate.. or nutmeg.. but is very very soft. It last for some 5 hours.. but it doesnt project much, so doesnt get very complimented. The quality from this fragance is good. But I think I wont buy another bottle, I would try other type of fresh fragances.

This is a great summer fragrance. Good longevity and projection. And such an invigorating scent. Sure, it's nothing new under the sun, but it's a beautiful constructed classic fragrance with a twist. There's a huge amount of citrus on a sofisticated base of cedar and nutmeg. The cedar gets stronger towards the drydown. It's a fairly dry fragrance and seems perfect for hot humid whether. One of the best fragrances from this house, can stand proudly next to Eau de Baux.

Not sure why this site mentions Bergamot as the name of the cologne is Citron (Cédrat in french, a type of lemon), and along with cedar and some spicy notes (I detect more pepper than nutmeg) composes this minimalistic offering. Realistic and simple scent as L'Occitane tends to make, a bit boring to be quite honest too, but good price/quality ratio for sure.

I have a bottle of this. I like the pefume but find that it does not last such a long time. It reminds me slightly of the Royal Oud from Creed with the woody notes. I wish that this perfume came through stronger as it seems to disappear quickly.

This is a terrific summer "masculine" fragrance. Clean, crisp and good for the price. There is 75ml version out now. I haven't heard of any reformulations. I own the 100ml and will continue to buy more.

This one is a nice, light fragrance for summer, or day time in general. A bit of citrus and a bit of powdery feeling - it is easy to wear. It however disappears fairly quickly on my skin.

i like using this for layering with a white musk during the day. pretty nice. wouldn't buy it again, though. it was given to me as a gift.

A great citrus opening with a beautiful powdery dry down. Very nice, very masculine with a real traditional feel. I love it!

Decent smelling fragrance but completely dead after an hour on my skin. Even up close I could barely notice it, maximum 2 hours it was definitely gone. One of the worst I've come across in terms of longevity.

Yesterday I got a chance to try this. I had such great hopes, but I was rather disappointed. The citrus notes don't remain around for long and it turned woody. Now, that's not a bad thing at all, but I couldn't help but think that there was this very synthetic feel to it. I also tried the original L'Occitane Eau de Toilette, which smelled a lot more natural than this one. Can't give a very in-depth review, but I was actually quite surprised as none of the reviews mention this synthetic smell.

Very very weak performance. It was a blind buy and disappointed me. I expected more.

In the world of citrus fragrances, some manage to evade the dreaded "smells like lemon dishwashing liquid" death knell, and some don't. Unfortunately, this is one of the latter... I'm not a hater of this brand, far from it. I really enjoy the L'Occitane Homme L'Occitan (blue label) shower gel, which I use fairly often. Their Cade shaving gel in the can is also really decent and smells great. But the opening of this fragrance genuinely smells like an upscale lemon dishwashing liquid, that astringent/artificial, classic "LEMON" smell that we all associate with washing the dishes. Yeah, that is here in spades, which is extremely strange as I have found most other L'Occitane products I've encountered to smell quite natural. The dry down is "better," generic woods and musk, which smells "nice" but is nothing to really write home about. Also have to add, this fragrance is quite "sweet" overall, there's a "lemon candy/bubblegumish" aura to it, which is not my cup of tea at all. This is ridiculously overpriced for the quality of what you actually receive. There are a plethora of far superior and far cheaper masculine citrus fragrances out there that absolutely eclipse this. 6/10

Great fragrance; Eau De Cedrat opens with a citrusy lemony blast mixed with woodsy overtones, however, as other reviews suggested, the opening vanishes, that is the lemon citrus. After about 5-10 minutes, you are left with a cashmere woodsy drydown which is quite nice! The cashmere wood is excellent; you also get a sweet aromatic somewhat powdery mix with the cashmere. It was mentioned that this is similar to Vetyver, however, I would have to respectfully disagree. Eau de Cedrat stands on its own and is (in my opinion) quite unique! Although this is marketed as masculine, I think this can be unisex as well. This fragrance is not overbearing or loud regardless of the number of sprays. Wonderful fragrance overall-I have had this on my hand for nearly 5 hours and I can still smell this juice and I only sprayed 1 spray, imagine if I would have sprayed more? I look forward to wearing this soon!!

I hadn’t tried a L’occitane fragrance until yesterday. I casually sprayed this eau de toilette and couldn’t stop sniffing my arm! I immediately went back to buy it. To my disappointment, the only other products they gad with this scent were a deodorant and a shower gel. I was hoping for a body cream. This scent is 100% unisex and so beautifully fresh and spicy. I love it on a hot day or to wear to bed. Surprising scent from this brand and a total love for me. Longevity and sillage are both moderate (to be fair, it’s an eau de toilette). Great to mist yourself with most seasons, but awesome for layering in the winter with a vanilla or amber forward scent.

When I tested with a paper strip I quickly thought that was another scent on the lines of Eau Captivante, or more properly Cèdre & Orange or Frisson de Verveine, and didn't imagine a reason to buy it. I read here about some similarity with Vetyver so I took the chance once more and bought it. Each of these scents you can use without giving much thinking of it, since all are kinda pleasant and safe. Now I see that there is diference and I indee get a very mild feeling of L'Occitane Vetyver, so this scent fades into a woody note. Not awe yet, just a good scent, seens to have low sillage and I ́m not sure yet about longevity, so the test continues.

Just another disappointment from L`Occitane. Since L`Occitane went to the stock market the quality of their new releases has been constantly going south. You could take Cade (another example of their new and probably short-lived "masterpieces") dilute it with 10 bottles of a weak but good citrus sent which has zero staying power like 4711 et voilà you get Eau de Cedrat. Great scents like Eau du Badian or Eau des 4 Voleurs had to go to make room for this? Seriously?

L ́Occitane did a really good job in creating this one. As the name suggests it is a citrus scent built around Cedrat note. It is both fresh and warm, and can be slightly sweet at times. The dry down is very nice and pleasant, but more importantly has a character for it's own. I like the elegant bottle design and color of the juice inside. Given the price tag, I would recommend anyone interested in a nice citrus scent to give it a try!

Tried this one at the L'Occitane shop, loved the blast of citrus at the beginning, the dry-down is amazing to me, it's woodsy and fresh at the same time, the scent is so comforting with no hints of anything synthetic in this fragrance. I loved it so much I bought the shaving gel and aftershave to go along with it.

NEW PACKAGING Just giving everyone a heads up - on October 1, 2025, L'Occitane globally relaunched this scent in new bottle as part of their reimagined and minimalist "Flora Orchestra" collection. The formula of the fragrance has not changed. Hope this helps!

On paper, Cedrat has a more prominent citrus top note but on skin that citrus is rather fleeting. After the first 10 minutes, Cedrat becomes very similar to Vetyver by L'Occitane which is stronger and soapier. I prefer Vetyver.

Nice... Natural Fresh Citrus Scent.. Perfect for Summer at work, gym anywhere.... Moderate Silage and Lasting but not weak at all... bought the whole range... EDT, Deo, Shower Gel, Soap, Cleanser and Face gel. Awesome!

Got a bottle now. This would be a fantastic citrusy fragrance for the Summer. Sillage is non-existent, however - it disappears almost instantly despite bathing in it. Shame.

Got me a bottle of in old packaging since it was on sale. Its a no from my end. it does not last more than 15 minutes and barely discernible like the effect of body wash..

Very pleasant little lighter that a perfume in metal bottle. Love how light are citruses and cedar tree. I got a deodorat version of it. I love it

Quality fragrance, quality ingredients - something I didn't expect for the price. It smells natural, a fresh citrus with a woody-incense depth.

I like that water I like light and energizing waters. This brand has a few good ones. To me its essence of Southern France style. I like it
