Néroli & Orchidée

This is a very pretty and powdery white floral to my nose, with touches of sweet and nectarous honeyed fruit here and there. I smelt the neroli straight away, I didn't really smell any of the orange in the top notes and the neroli in this fragrance has been softened to the point that it smells more like a powdery rendition of orange blossom to me. The pretty and green tinged freshness of lily of the valley was the next most prominent note to me and it made me think of both spring and summer and the wood nymphs. Very enchanting! The powdery sweetness from the peach and the honeyed sweetness from the fig wasn't overpowering any of the floral notes, but it did add a touch of fruity sweetness to this composition that for me was quite pleasant. It made me think of eating fruit at a picnic in a field of flowers, the breeze gently blowing against your skin and the sweet and cute little birds chirping their song. I got lots of powderiness from the orchid, musk and iris that gave this fragrance an almost baby powder touch that is very youthful and innocent smelling to me. I could imagine this being a very good fragrance for a young girl as well as all the way up to an older woman in touch with her inner child. Though it is a very nice fragrance, Neroli & Orchidée left me wanting for slightly more wear time. It wasn't terrible, but I got about 4 hours of wear time and moderate projection. It is still fairly good for the price though and you can't complain too much about it for how cheap it is. I might buy it in the future, but I have lots of fragrances already and I'm sticking to just buying really special/discontinued fragrances from my wants list first. Altogether, I'd give this effort by L'occitane a very good 8/10. I can definitely recommend it and I think that this fragrance with their accompanying body wash (which I did buy) and body lotion make a great gift for a loved one or friend!

I have the hand cream and not the EDT, but here is my review of the hand cream. First, it smells very delicate, natural, while being subtly luxurious like it could be mistaken for a real bouquet of flowers. More poetically: this fragrance is reminiscent of a young, beautiful, perfumed French mother rambling through a cottage garden on a late sunny morning when the blooms are still heavy with scent; she cradles peonies, gardenias, and roses in her apron, while orange blossoms and lily-of-the-valley lingers in the air. Beneath this delicate and heavenly floral ensemble, a subtle and refreshing musk subtly harmonizes the aroma. I keep this one in my closet and often find myself unconsciously questioning whether the captivating scent is the smell of a flower garden wafting through the windows or simply the lingering allure of this scent on my sweaters. Because it smells so natural, it definitely leans "mumsy" or "natural" but it is also luxurious I love it for that reason. It's probably not fresh and sparkling enough for young women to wear on a night out, but it's definitely floral, pleasant, creamy/lily, and versatile. It's kind of a "cute" and charming floral and it's something you could wear as a signature scent; something you could easily imagine on a mother or even on her children secondhand. It's a light, pleasant, timeless fragrance you will enjoy whether it's 1900 or 2050.

A trully beautiful fragrance. An orange blossom/neroli combo that stays away from being cloing, yet rocks a delectable juicy citrus facet atop a white flowery core. In my opinion L'Occitane did the neroli better than both Yves Rocher (which I love for its elegance) and Guerlain (which I I found too strident). N&O starts tart and citrusy, with an unintrusive white floral background which keeps the citruses from totally dominating. The transition from the citrus opening to the white floral heart, still with orange notes is seamless. The fragrance has a plush, waxy feel, that I enjoyed far more than the transparent, slightly bitter, fresh citrus-centered YR rendition of neroli (The YR Neroli has its advantages and it is more affordable, but N&O just won me overall). I can almost smell somthing like honey that gives sweetness to the composition, maybe a bit too much at times. The drydown goes a bit more vanillic and musky than the flowery heart. The longevity is excellent, along with a nice projection. Full bottle worthy, despite the sweetness. N&O is my favorite from the Collection de Grasse, with Jasmin&Bergamotte being a total contradiction to it in terms of the citrus notes representation, with its aromatic, fresh, masculine petigrain rendition.

I got a gift box of this with the perfumed soap, body milk and a small mini of perfume. What an awesome summery fragrance! It's citrussy, but a very juicy citrus and it's packed with gorgeous flowers. I don't smell neroli as much as I get orange blossom, although maybe it's a tad fresher than it would be if only orange blossom was used. I also smell beautiful lily-of-the-valley and a warm velvety floral scent that might be the orchid mixed with the peach and figs. But picking the notes apart is irrelevant in this fragrance. It's like a mix of flowers, trees and herbs releasing their scent into the air on a hot summer afternoon. The very essence of summer. I find Néroli & Orchidée quite strong, especially when layered with the body milk (which I love even more than the perfume because it skips the slightly sharper topnotes and goes straight to the velvety floral heart) and it lasts for ages. Really impressive for an EdT, it lasts even longer than some of my EdP's. It also projects like crazy. I had the soap in my bathroom and I could smell it allmost from the other end of the hallway! Great offering from L'Occitane! Also, I don't think it resembles Le Parfum by Elie Saab, because I sadly can't stand that one. It's waaay sharper than this.

I'm honored to write the first review of this amazing fragrance. I got it as a little gift through a swap. A bunch of thanks to her. She may not have meant it but literally she helped me find my summer fragrance. I had been looking for a fresh fragrance for summer until I tried its sample. Loved it. That's what I was exactly expecting. Beautiful,fresh,feminine. Not too floral, not too fruity. Soft but lasts well. I just tried it on me with a little paper sample. It's been 5 hours. I can still smell it on my skin. I rather categorize it as floral fruity. The notes are very well-blended. The most I get is fig,peach and neroli. The opening is more fruity and then flower notes become more noticeable. The dry down is such a lovely floral fruity scent. Not too musky but I think, musk helps it last longer than expected. When it comes to summer or day time, that's the number 1 so far. 9/10

Literally what the prettiest girl in the world would wear. She's wearing an oversized ivory cable knit sweater over a ditsy floral sundress, with her hair tied in a velvet ribbon. She walks past and you get the most intoxicating trail of a white floral that is so fresh and breezy it smells like soap, or her shampoo. Picture the most milky fig imaginable, balanced with musk and some lighter florals. You won't get much peach, maybe the tiniest bit, but the mandarin and orange will stick around, with the iris keeping it from being too citrusy. Heavenly summer scent, reminds me of Stella by Tocca, perhaps a distant cousin to that one. So beautiful, I would probably chase down anyone wearing this to ask what it is. Edit: I must have been on one when I thought this smelled like Stella. They smell absolutely nothing alike. Anyway I bought a full bottle and am delighted.

I bought it finally in my local shop, lusting after it for weeks. It is such a nice concotion, well blended mix of heavenly neroli, peach and some fig, orchid, iris and lily of valley are more discreet. Was craving for a very elegant, refined fresh floral for Spring, after the winter period full of heavy gourmand and orientals. This was the kind of beauty i was looking for in the so popular Elie Saab which dissapointed me extremely. In general this new line la collection de grasse is a big hit for me. I also love the Fleur d'Or & Acacia, Magnolia&Mur, Vanille & Narcisse and the Ambre & Santal. For the moment Occitane gives you a very nice promo (at keast in Europe) : for 55€ you get a full 75 ml bottle + cute gift box which contains soap bar, body lotion and mini bottle. A must have !!!

Where do I begin... This scent is the one that got me hooked on L'Occitane a few of years ago. I am now revisiting it again (at my second bottle) as the temperature rises and have made half bottle dent within only one month. Orchid, neroli blossom, and fig milk are most distinctive, respectively, to my nose. I grew up with lots of orchids around the house in my home country, so I could detect this deep exotic tropical orchid aroma right away. Fig milk refines the edge of neroli blossom and makes it soft, cloudy, smooth, and delicate like real petals. It is clean, transparent, and natural at its best which differentiates the frag from other floral scents in the market with tons of aromachemical and synthetic smells. I can see myself bathing in it.

Néroli & Orchidée by L'Occitane definitely stole my heart. Beautiful, feminine and gentle. I would put it into the same category as Chloe Eau de Parfum. It does not smell at all as Chloe, but the feeling and emotion that it conveys is pretty similar. The citruses and neroli are dominant, other notes do not develop over the time. However, the linearity of the fragrance does not take anything from its cleanliness and beauty. I do not understand some of the comments saying "it is the cheapest perfume" in their collection. Like more than 60 euro/ 70$ for 75 ml is not cheap. Especially for such poor performance and sillage that it offers (at least with my skin chemistry sadly). For that reason, I would not purchase it again, although I love it.

Updated review- I am hopeful I can wear this perfume as my signature scent. It's really a lovely sophisticated spa type scent. Not juvenile, overly sweet or commercial smelling. It really smells amazing. It's been years since I've had a signature scent and I really miss that. I love having a bit of variety in perfume which was something I could not afford when I was younger. But I am also mindful that too many scents doesn't work for me either. A signature scent is very appealing with a few extras on rotation is my goal. This perfume is really that lovely and signature scent worthy. Its a soft floral but has an orchid note which to me when combined with the citrus and lily of the valley make it very classic.

I love this! It’s probably my favorite shampoo-y scent, although it doesn’t smell like straight-up shampoo. More so it has that luxurious, slightly chemical hair care, post-hair salon appointment smell. Additionally, this is powdery and slightly sweet, but clean and quite fresh. I really get the interesting, powdery orchid note, a pretty musk, clean non-sharp citruses, and underneath a soft, ripe peach note. On my skin the drydown reminds me surprisingly of Classique, except just a little brighter. This smells so pretty and effortlessly attractive, and would probably suit any season and occasion. I’ll probably get this at some point. I just wonder how the new version compares...

This one is absolutely beautiful. It smells like a girl who is carefree yet tasteful and intelligent. I instantly imagined a trip to Italy during a honeymoon phase, slightly drunk evenings in the sunset, riding an old train in the rural area, being young and dumb, but not too dumb and not totally inexperienced in the world. The soapiness of it feels absolutely lovely. It also hides a hint of sexiness to it. It's not on your nose, but it definitely has a naughty side to it. It teases you a little bit, enough to make your cheeks go red but not enough to want to drop your clothes instantly.. If Julie Delpy from Before Sunrise would have a fragrance it would be this. I'm mesmerized.

I receive a looot of compliments from women wearing this :) On me it smells fresh and pure - usually I don ́t wear it in smoky areas (in my country you can still smoke cigarettes in bars, so it happens often that I appear in "smoky" area and this perfume doesn ́t fit there) But it fits totally to a white beautiful sweater, freshly washed, plus this - ohlala! so sexy, feminine, beautiful...I love the cloud of the special smell coming from my hair while walking on the street with a gentle wind :) It ́s unique...on me quite long lasting...especially on clothes :) For me it ́s the best from l ́Occitane fragrances (I loved jasmine bergamot from this line, but it ́s discontinued:( )

Well... there is something to be said about comfort fragrances. This is my "go to" perfume. For those days, that are all for yourself, those nights when you are oh so tired... this is the one that I reach for. There is no denying... I can accept the comparisons to dryer sheets, but still, I simply love this fragrance. There is the pick-me-up neroli, but combined with the "me-time" orchidee. The fragrance is happy, but not too peppy, or preppy - this is for the day off work or the night just for me. Beautiful smell, affordable, and not too demanding for those days when you just want to have a quiet downtime just for yourself.

This is the most long-lasting perfume that L'Occitane has ever done. I can still feel it on my clothes and hair a day after using it. That said, it smells beautiful. Like the most beautiful, classy and elegant woman you've ever met. I wear it to the ballet, to a posh dinner, to a "dress to impress" kind of occasion. In my opinion, it is on the same level as Mon Guerlain, both in class and in strength. It wears best in winter in my opinion. Absolutely blooms and gets people all up in my neck. Gives men weak knees and gets them to admire you and do what you want. So badly underrated! A must-have in my collection.

This is my favorite perfume from L’Occitane. I definitely think it’s a steal...you get an amazing well performing fragrance for lower price of market of comparable products for different brands. The scent is simple but yet beautiful and delicate. For me the flowers are most powerful notes here, and they stay on skin for several hours. I definitely primarily get neroli, lily of the valley, orchid and iris. Fruits (peach and citrus) are on a background to sweeten things up. It’s a very bright and clean scent, appropriate for any possible occasions, age and seasons. Definitely feminine. 100% recommended

Neroli Orchidee is what started my obsession with L'Occitane fragrances and their Grasse Collection. I love Orange Blossoms! It reminds me of our first house where we had two orange trees. In the Spring, when the blossoms came out, my husband would cut branches, put them in a vase, and place them on my night stand. What a lovely way to wake up in the morning!! Neroli Orchidee is a beautiful citrus floral wrapped in romance. The sillage and longevity are moderate, too. Still on my clothes, the next day. And you always know if people like what you're wearing when they get closer just to talk to you.

I have had this perfume a couple years now but finally acknowledged its not my favourite scent. It's very well blended but very orangey with strong neroli and green undertones. I find the climate where i live is generally too humid half the year for this scent. And it goes sour in humidity. It needs crisp spring weather to really shine. And that's not what we have here. In the winter i crave vanilla and sweeter cosier fragrances. This perfume is really elegant with spa like quality. I will keep my bottle though.

So beautiful and demure a fragrance. It is neroli AND more. Perhaps the orchid... brings a refined touch of elegance to this perfume. I just love it! FY am a big orange blossom / neroli fan and this perfume is VERY special. IMO is much better than TF Neroli Portofino which I owned (too soapy and standard) and Roger&Gallet's Neroli Facetie (linear tho pretty fragrance). Also I don't mind when perfume don't last long... to me, it usually means less chemical fixers and more natural ingredients.

I just finished my bottle of this and I already miss it. So comforting and sexy. Has that clean neroli smell but the orchid makes it more feminine. It's also warmer and more sensual than other Neroli fragrances thanks to the musky base. It's also great value which allows me to spritz with abandon. I would liken this fragrance to a newly laundered cashmere jumper - soft and familiar, warm, and feels just fabulous against the skin.

This is divine! I only have the smallest travel version but I am hooked. Think I will have to dig deep into my pockets and get a normal size in the future. I only get citrus very initially for a few minutes then it becomes rich, sweet (but not saccharine) nectar. If this was a colour I imagine golden, it is a warm hug, delicious and eventually fades to a light powder musk, a new fav for me :)

This one is the cheapest fragrance in my collection. But differently one of my absolute favorites for hot weather. Perfect spring-summer scent. Especially after a shower. It wraps you in a cozy clean cloud from neroli and white flowers. Performance is good, but as expected it's doesn't last long neither on skin or clothes. So during the day, you will need to refresh it.

It was love at first sniff with this one. I just love neroli so much and this my platonic ideal of a neroli perfume. Just hit all the sensors in my brain in the exact perfect way the second I smelled it for the first time. It was an immediate buy for me. My only gripe is I wish the smell lasted longer on me but maybe it's just nose blindness now.

I love this out the bottle, on skin. Beautiful. The dry down I more dry floral but clean, rounded musk, gentle flirals. I don't think it's old fashioned really. A slight bit woody, leans overall clean, almost laundry territory which is nice. Clean end of fruity. 6+ hours longevity on my skin. Evening skin test vs daytime.

I’m not sure what it is as there don’t seem to be many notes in common, but this beauty reminds me a little of Guerlain Shalimar Parfum Initial L’eau, it’s probably just my nose playing tricks but I have found this to be a fantastic substitute for that discontinued gem. It’s fresh, warm and enveloping just like L’eau.

i love this perfume! i wore it everyday a few years ago, during a summer vacation in utah with my family, and found it recently. the second i smelled it it brought me back! it's very gentle and feminine, kind of like a kiss to the back of your hand and lying on a picnic blanket on a sunny day. highly recommended :)

I got this from a friend and so far I cannot get enough of it. Smells classy, but not expensive. The longevity is incredible. I've received many compliments while wearing it. It's soft enough to wear as an office scent. Romantic and innocent. Wonderful floral and citrus blend, perfect for Spring.

This was a blind buy and luckily I ended up loving this scent. Got a compliment when I wore it and and was told it was very a pleasing scent. Initial spray has a strong smell but it does go down to a light, musky floral scent. Doesn’t last long on me but I still love it.

Smells like a gorgeous ballerina! Or a victoria's secret dressing room! I adore this scent, it's sexy, ethereal and delicate. Florally with a slight tartness and a sweetness that is almost candy-like. I don't know why but this scent reminds me of Bella Hadid! 8/10

This is my favourite "good mood scent": light, floral and uplifting. A perfect summer's day at the Alhambra, a big smile in a bottle. A cloud of neroli at first, which then dries down into a gorgeous classy blend of blossoms with subtle citrussy notes.

Sometimes I suspect if I even tested the same fragrance as the other reviewers. This to me smells like babies and fabric softener. Not bad, not at all. Very feminine and innocent. It also has impressive staying power for such a soft scent.

It begins with fresh uplifting brightness and rolls into a very addictive, milky fruit & floral musk scent cloud. Instant mood boost and very complimented by all kinds of people, which I did not expect. Love at first try. 🍊🌸🤍

My new signature scent. When I wear this I feel like I’m surrounded by fluffy clouds of orange blossom nougat kissed by violet scented dewdrops... elegant, sweet, warm clean and fresh all at once. Perfect for any day.

I have so many perfumes of all kinds, but none of them got me a compliment such as this one today when a saleslady simply asked "What is THAT you are wearing? Omg, it's SO good!!!!!!".

It's a delicious and super femenine fragrance... It's soft and it reminds me Fleur Cherie, another marvelous L'Occitane fragrance. I love the peach soft note... Lovely fragrance

To me this is a very mature scent. It's very pretty but in an older lady sort of way like some EA perfumes. I can see it being very polarising with multiple sprays.

Oh, I really like this beautiful floral perfume! It smells fab on paper, after a week it still smells fab, but I will try it on my skin before I buy it :D

A slightly temperamental one. Some days it smelled like straight up white florals and the other days the green showed up a lot more. It was difficult to gauge what it would smell like but a running theme was always - fresh - in a macerated bouquet of white florals kind of way, like smelling dew drops that had been ruminating in the pollen of white blossoms, the orchids must have lend that fresh heady-ness. It smelt like what humid but cool rainy days felt like- fresh and cool yet also heavy. A heady scent as mentioned but so elegant too. I wore this mostly during the rains and the florals were always a bit too intense in the humid environment. The winter time outings I wore it to may have been a bit too cool for the scent so I am unsure if I can say I was wearing it at the "right" seasons. I had the small 10 ml no spray decant and the bottle was a cute little glass one. One little dot tapped across my wrists and neck and that would last me about 3-8 hours. However, This scent is a definite all rounder. The temperamental-ness I spoke of earlier might find it's light in how versatile it could be as it fit almost all occasions and most seasons to a decently applaudable degree. Not too boring for a daytime, outdoor spring wedding or a sunday church service and also not too intense for more professional set ups either. More of a day scent but it also worked well at night - Wore it during the summer time during a cool breezy night and it was a lovely experience, the scent was reminiscent of the night-time jasmine blooms.

I had to go back and write another review - recently I had a change of heart with two fragrances I own, and Neroli&Orchidee is one of them. So, I bought this fragrance on impulse, last summer, after a long and grueling lockdown. I needed something carefree and uplifting in my nostrils and this perfume delivered immediately. I am not a huge fan of citruses and and soapy florals - I prefer perfumes that exude some level of sweetness, so N&O was definitely a bit of an experiment for me. I wore it a couple of times that summer, had people complimenting it everytime, but the sheer soapiness of neroli in this fragrance was too much for me after a while. I even put it on sale - and then had a change of heart and pulled it. And as soon as we had the first warm spring day here, I immediately thought of it. This time around, it did not feel like too much - it's still a fairly linear fragrance with floral burst in the opening and musky neroli in the drydown, but this time it felt so right and not screechy at all - sunny, uplifting, just gallivanting in the streets alongside me. I've seen comments about its poor staying power - definitely not the case for me, I can catch whiffs of it 5-6 hours after applying it. Mind it, this is not a fragrance that intends to turn heads - it is a fresh, skin scent.

I'm still learning how to pick out the different notes so pardon me if my lingo isn't quite right. I purchased this semi blind after purchasing the hand cream in the duty free shops leaving London. I loved the scent of the hand cream and thus ordered the scent online once I got home. I don't love the perfume as much as the hand cream. The perfume has a sharpness that isn't present in the cream. I like white florals and with most they smell nicest in a more humid climate. Sadly I live in a very dry climate so they are better in the summer months for me. Florals always smell more tight here than in humid climates sadly but I still enjoy them. And I like this one but don't love it. I actually like layering it with slightly sweeter white florals because it has some noticeable musk in the later stages that provides some depth and richness as well as more longevity to some of my softer/ sweeter florals.
