Nuit Festive

I'm only reviewing this fragance now, but I was lucky to purchase it just before it disappeared from the shelves beginning of January. I first bought the hand cream as I wasn't sure this was my kind of scent. The opening is refreshing, but the slight blackcurrant freshness gives way to a sweet almond milk vanilla scent. The drydown is what I love the best, it's sweet and a bit powdery. It would be a lovely night scent as well, relaxing and cosy! This is more of an autumn, winter fragance.

In love with this and wish it was a year round offering. The black currant and almond milk are beautiful together. This is refreshing but also deep enough for a night out fragrance, depending on your style. I think it could be worn year round with a light hand.

Beautiful. My everyday go to scent for colder weather. Clean, sweet, fruity and comforting all at the same time.

This is pleasant. A comforting skin scent that turns milky and soft on the skin after 20 or so minutes. The longevity is poor but I may pick a bottle up in the Black Friday sales just because I think it’s a chic silent scent for autumn/winter.

Fruity on top but a bit screechy to my nose. I feel like L'Occitane have fallen into the same bucket of modern aroma chemicals that other houses fill their perfumes from, so I've not enjoyed the more recent releases but having said that, it's a nice enough scent. There's a hint of Melilot here texture-wise but it was really reminding me of something else. I kept going back to smell the drydown and realised Nuit Festive is very similar to Jo Malone Scarlet Poppy. Specifically the modern Scarlet Poppy in the dark bottle which has a fruitier scent than the original in the red bottle. So yeah, a slightly screechy and slightly fruitier sister to Scarlet Poppy!
