Rose

This is one of the few perfumes that I have bought more than once and, for me, it is the ideal scent of a rose. It is fresh and very lively, pink and musky. Not exactly the watery smell of a realistic red rose, more like the idea of a vase of flowers in a sunny house. It's super feminine and I never grow tired of the smell. It was love at first smell for me. And because of its characteristics, I feel that it can be used in almost all occasions. You can feel the lychee for a moment at the top, and the pepper gives it that coloratura and liveliness that I love. After a few minutes the only thing I smell is rose, rose and musk. A charm. The only thing I don't like about this fragrance is that it doesn't last more than 4 hours. If I want it to last all day, I have to reapply (and it's a shame because it's only available in 50ml) and the trail is soft and intimate. Perfect for work, for everyday or just to go to sleep. If you are looking for a rose perfume that does what it says on the tin, without being powdery or old-fashioned, look no further, this is the bottle for you.

Rose is such a beautiful note in Fragrances, one of my favorites, but it needs the right concoction to bring out its full beauty and this perfume does exactly that. I have tried soooo many rose perfumes, one of my favorites was Chloe but I stopped using it as sometimes it felt a bit too strong for my nose and also quite soapy. This one however, in my opinion, is a Master piece! I was blown away when I sniffed it at the store and got my mother a bottle. After using hers a few times I got one for me. It finished in a month and now I’m on my second. Granted it’s pricey for a 50 ml bottle but for me its a Gem of a scent. Not to mention the super lovely bottle, it’s just omg, perfection!! 10/10 for me. I can wear it any time, any season, but I guess its more of a spring/summer day scent. I wear it to work daily and also for occasions. Yes you get it, I Love Rose! Great job Loccitane!!

There are many expressions of rose in perfumery and i love most of them. Nearly all!! ( the exeption is a rose that is too dense and dusty powdery ) This one however is utterly romantic. An unmistakable rosa centifolia with hints of musk and with the fruityness of raspberry giving this scent it's youthful vibe. And a fresh, green hue to finish the palette. It's a soapy rose. Reminding me of the little soaps of my grandmother in the shape of angels. They were very popular in the 90's. For me this one's a love! But it's somewhat old world romance vibe (not to mistake for dated) is something you either like or not 💞 Carefree but elegant and very feminine. Makes me think also of the series of Bridgerton and all it's pink cheeked floral romance💞😊

Not a dupe for Chloe's Chloe, Chloe's Rose Edition, Paul Smith Rose, The Body Shop's Atlas Rose, nor Diptyque's Eau Rose, but somewhat in between them. Green/fresh, but less green and more sweet than the last four above, particularly in the opening. Sweet, but less sweet and more green than Chloe's Chloe. As it dries down and the greenness fades, it gets more similar, though the lesser prominence of lychee stops it from being a dupe. Great Goldilocks fragrance for those searching something in between those listed. And a safe blind buy for the people who already love them. Very feminine, pink, and romantic but still office/date-friendly. Sillage and longevity is surprisingly good for L'Occitane––lasted a work day on my linen shirt.

The lady of all rose scents. Having passed the 45 mark, I have been looking for a rose scent that is neither romantic and girly nor granny's bathroom. I had tried Rose 4 Reines, which was a little too old ladyish on me. Other rose scents often dry down into something sweet, synthetic or too fleeting. Being a big fan of l'Occitane products, I blind bought this one, closed my eyes and crossed my fingers... and oh boy! It is the loveliest purest rose scent, modern and grown up. I don't get any fruit but just the right amount of clean spicyness with it, an absolutely stunning scent than I can see myself wearing every day as well as for special occasions. Bravo, l'Occitane!

I remember this being mentioned in an old Charles Gross video that he did with his sister and this is what she was wearing. I tried this out a couple of years ago and I remember it was the perfect, soft, classic rose scent. Youthful, yet mature. Sweet, not fruity or sickly. Just a fragrant Damask rose. This ran across my mind again as I have been loving rose again, and I see that the bottle has changed and reviews on the site of how the formula has changed has made me hesitant on repurchasing an already soft fragrance. Has any tried the new formulation? I would love to know if its worth the pricetag, as this is truly a LOVELY scent.

Although I do not like pink pepper (I find it too harsch to my taste) nor litchi, this is such a lovely, feminine fragrance! A bit spicy and fruity rose, with (on my skin) a gourmand-ish base. The fruit element is not artificial or sickly sweet, it just adds interesting layer and compliments the rose. Longetivity is very good. It will be perfect fragrance for spring. So romantic! : ) I have minitature version and keep using it everyday, on my wrist - it makes me happy. So a big bottle is definitely on my wish list. EDIT: A big bottle purchased. : )

My all time favourite perfume! I would say that it’s quite a jammy rose with an amazing sweetness like Turkish delight. I’ve been wearing this on and off for the past four years and I don’t think I’ll ever have another favourite. I will say that the violet does pull through quite a lot it smells like that classic floral soap smell and recently I found the perfect body wash to layer with! it reminds me of my grandma but it still has a syrupy youthful vibe like morning dew in the spring.

Love this scent! The rose scent is strong but fresh and lasts almost all day, making this a great everyday wear. The lychee is also very prominent and adds a sweet note. Whenever I wear this scent, I leave a trail that has my friends going crazy because they love the rose and lychee. For some (probably with very sensitive noses) it smells kinda 'old lady'ish because of the rose and the strength so be conservative with sprays. Overall, it's a solid addition to anyone's collection.

A beautiful and very natural, realistic rose scent, with a hint of added greenness and a peppery note. It smells like dark roses, dark pink or violet. It's a bit deeper scent, not too fluffy and sweet. Lasting power is very good. It is quite a strong and intensive scent, which is a good thing if one loves and tolerates rose. I personally get tired of this scent as it does not go away during the whole day and it is quite intensive. I still appreciate it.

So lovely! I am always on the lookout for a nice rose scent and I am really picky. Rose fragrances are often either too jammy, too fruity or too soapy for my taste. But this is such a nice fresh, green but not too green, just slightly sweet rose without any other distracting notes. Light, airy, easy-to-wear, modern, feminine and with reasonably good sillage and longevity. Just what you need on a carefree spring day. So happy with it.

Beautiful, vibrant full-on rose scent. The top notes keep this one bright and add a touch of acidity. I'm grateful that I don't get the patchouli here at all. Definitely a candidate for a FB purchase. Edit - I've acquired a mini of this for now. If I go through it I will consider upgrading to a FB, especially since I've realized that this is quite similar to my beloved Prada Infusion de Rose which is so much pricier...

The perfect rose perfume I've come across so far it's so feminine, reminds me a beautiful spring day the birds are chirping and the roses are blooming. Been wearing it for years. the red pepper gives it its own character to the scent. A perfect fragrance to wear everyday

I was pleasantly surprised by this perfume. It is like immersing yourself in a tub of rose petals. Long lasting and the fragrance stays true for hours. Such a gorgeous modern rose scent.

Love it! although I usually hate rose perfume, this one is so fresh, clean, nice, soapy, light and lovely.

Tested this on paper and on my wrists in store. It had a gorgeous opening of lychee. The pink pepper goes beautifully with the tartness of the lychee. I did not smell raspberry. I already own a rose lychee fragrance by Mistral so I decided to forego this one. The one by Mistral is much stronger in sillage and the lychee is sweeter. In addition I'm not a big fan of patchouli which is in the dry down.

Even though is not mentioned in the notes, this reminds me of peony at times, which may be due to the sweetness from the litchi. It's a very pretty, fresh rose type of scent that's hard to go wrong with. I also think it has darn good sillage and longevity for such a fresh scent.

A fresh green Rose, the flore stem and the leaves included. Yet it’s not Harsh , it’s very feminine. It’s perfect for the Warm days. The projection is moderate and it stays long on the skin. Good alternative to paul smith or diptyque

Beautiful rose perfume but after wearing it for a while I develop a headache. Not surprising as this happens with all rose perfumes in my case. What really is strange it doesn't bother me if somebody else is wearing it

I tried this on today in store. It was quite strong, floral, rosey & potpourri like. A linear slightly powdery scent but also very feminine and high quality. Must love roses though. Reminds me of Chanel Paris Paris.

a light rose, more modern than roses et reines. the fruit is not prominent on me (not a huge fan of litchi notes!), if you like diptyque's l'eau rose, this is a more affordable version!

Rosy, musky sweetness resembles Amazing Grace Ballet Rose but L’Occitane is sharper, greener, sourer, with more body, more complexity.

Pretty and youthful rose scent. I’m still searching for the perfect rose scent though.

Simple, straightforward jammy rose with a hint of greenery peeking through. A lot of L'Occitane's scents are uncomplicated, but that doesn't mean they don't perform. I am not a big fan of jammy roses myself, but this one I hate less than others. It does still smell fresh, and the addition of patchouli and pepper keep it from going too soapy. I think the bottle is cute if a little twee for my tastes. The body milk (lotion) is actually the loveliest realization of this scent because of the creaminess and it layers nicely with other scents. If you are in need of a gift for a rose lover or want to explore layering with a solid-if-unembellished jammy rose, this would be a great pick. I can also see this being a nice scent for a girly teenager to experiment with as well.

A soapy rose, a bit too light for my taste but I am sure it can be extremely enjoyable for many. I do enjoy it in spring/summer, or when I'm just going out for an errand and want a rose perfume that won't offend anyone.

painfully boring but not unpleasant

I have the hand cream from L'Occitane, and it's intensely fragranced to the point of being headache inducing. I'm not sure if the heavy scent is specific to the hand creams but it's been the case of all the hand creams of this brand that I've tried. It's unfortunate since I specifically purchased the Rose hand cream after seeing the glowing reviews. It does indeed share a lot of notes with Chloe EDP, and, after I dilute it in some unscented lotion, I can see myself using this as a base before spraying. The hand cream opens a bit juicy which I guess is the lychee before coming out with a musky rose. It fades down to a basic white musk scent that smells like many other products and perfumes that feature this note. Nothing particularly groundbreaking, so I wouldn't go for it unless you somehow find it cheaper than MSRP.

As others say, it is perhaps an inoffensive & safe rose but very linear and boring. I am into rose scents for a while and sniff different rose offerings of well known houses, e.g. Dior, Guerlain, L occitane, Givenchy etc. This is the least interesting rose I smelled so far. It is rose, just rose ( a bouquet of red roses). Sounds romantic but its linearity and one sidedness starts to irritate. I mean just smelling rose sours the nose after a while. Perhaps it is a characteristic of L occitane, I dont know. Found this scent very disappointing, I d expect more from L Occitane.

The pinkest freshest rose with just a touch of berry sweetness. Youthful without being too childish, feminine without being too girly. Very light and energizing, definitely a greenish-pink scent; it lasts for hours and smells quite natural and botanical. A blooming bouquet in a bottle. Very pretty but I wish it had something a little extra in there, perhaps an extra green note or a woody note. Pair with: big pink satin hair ribbons, blushing the tip of your nose, the whole month of April, white lace underwear + no bra, raspberry prosecco, handwritten letters in cream-colored envelopes.

This is more of a romanticized version of pink roses (not photorealistic in any way). Think of fluffy clouds in pink pastel floating in a haze around you. Some idealized version of a pretty pink rose (not photorealistic) but more of a romanticized version of a rose, a caricature, with zero syrupy sweet tones as the other, Roses et Reines. Edit: it actually has just a MINISCULE amount of sweetness thst is barely detectable so my original review still stands.

What a delightful little rose fragrance!!!! This rose from L'Occitane is very fresh and perfect for spring/summer. On my skin, this fragrance opens very fresh, slightly green and with pretty rose. It's light and airy and modern. There is a fruity edge to it but nothing too sweet. This fragrance manages to be pretty, elegant and modern at the same time. A big like for me. It's not groundbreaking or anything but for rose lovers worth a try for sure☺

love love love! i'm not a huge rose fan but this one does it for me! The first few hours feel very youthful and fresh, I don't get much of the musk but the lychee is there. On the dry down I get less of the sweetness and instead a spicy (pepper?) note that I don't love

I am always looking for new perfumes that have notes resembling Chloe New. This sounds like it is right up my alley. Blind buying right now. Will update soon.

Good if you're a fan of roses perfume. But if you're sensitive to 'egg' smells from aquatic notes, then stay away from this.

A very Santa Maria Novella kind of rose. Fruity, fresh yet realistic. Beautiful and so romantic!
