Agua de Loewe El

Although my aim was to write a review right with the first hot spring day, this fragrance made me to do it no matter the weather conditions. Power of this composition lies in its deconstructed nature whereas each components come in different timing of projection, not mixed altogether - with distinctively obvious chord and bright sillage. You may not need need to sniff your wrists, but that does not mean that you won ́t. Simply for the sheer pleasure from having Agua de Loewe Él. Before coming to fragrance itself, Loewe deserves special kudos for the presentation itself. And by presentation I mean not only bottle but also a wooden case with a logotype carved in intarsia which is a part of travel vial. While I am more of a collector than hoarder finding such a design object as this one is, truly adds more depth into whole experience from the fragrance. Touch of wood is really totally different sensation than milk glass bottle. Cedar case with cork coating inside brings a little of the Spanish aesthetic wherever you find yourself and just looking at it as a object does some tricks with perception. You can see it over my fragram. From grabbing and holding bottle to touching the cap, the creation of a serious relationship starts. I really like to think of it as a relationship because first impressions seldom tell you much about development in the future. With this aquatic slash marine opening it pays twice. Not that it smells synthetic as some previously mentioned, not at all, it smells very generic and if you stop at this moment, it is as if you walked out from the date giving no chance to develop more sympathy towards someone else. Letting the head of fragrance to lie a little and rest on your skin say for five to ten minutes works miracles. We are still rather at the start and the marine tones of anything from Aqua di Gio to Bvlgari Aqva is relevant, nevertheless tones of fruity juice come afterwards. This part is interesting rather on clothing than skin because the power of the chord is dominant and it almost seems as if it stays so for several hours. Stay in water somehow blurs the line between the heart of the fragrance and the base. That drydown border is the most delicate and interesting part of Él. Pineapple pulp tone protrudes instantly and lingers both on wet skin as well as the clothing usually after five to six hours of wearing. By this time you smell more floral, naturally floral and juicy. I enjoy that moment a lot, and for this reason I often apply fragrance three times a day, except the wrist and chest also on different layers of my outfit (linen shirt, cotton tee, additionally suede harrington) In the very drydown, after continually evaporating pine/apple chord comes warm combination of cedar and moss. I believe musk holds the composition in a stable state which enables scent to stay close to skin for very long time, over more than 16 hours. And yet, you still sense that woody chord that resembles from my point of view Kenzo Air. And while Air is my signature scent, accompanying it with Él, chosen rather intuitively as the first fragrance from this house, it has been to my surprise it blends so well with my personally established aesthetics. After such a positive experience, I naturally already have next plans with Loewe. But for this moment I am stick to that one only. Truly beautiful and promising for this season. Light to wear, independent from your actions, well balanced and versatile.

Loewe is an underrated house in the U.S., which is a shame because they have some very nice, somewhat unique fragrances for mid-level designer prices. It is not easy to produce a unique blue, but this one makes a good effort. 5 sprays to the chest and shirt still waft at the 7 hour mark, so longevity is good. This opens as a yuzu/bergamot fragrance with a strong aquatic accord. At 30 minutes, the bright citrus has softened into a juicier tone, allowing a solid (unlisted) lavender note to boost the aromatic factor, and a light bitter note probably attributable to the oakmoss. What makes this more than just a run of the mill blue, however, is the base of musk, woods and (unlisted) tonka, that increase the maturity/sophistication factor. While this is not entirely a novel approach, this is done in a ... Spanish ... style that differentiates it from the BDCs and Dylan Blues. The lavender and base notes continue to do their thing for many hours, with (unlisted) violet coming and going. The listed apple and pineapple are all but undetectable to me, and the black currant barely so. The rest of the elements work very well together, though, so if you want a high-quality, long-lasting aromatic blue woods scent that won't smell like anyone around you, you should check this one out.

Let me first tell you that I tried this only once, while trying many other scents - but I spent a good 30 minutes with it alone. Because it was an instant "wow" for me at first spray, which I don't get much anymore after years of perfume discovery, some of you will surely relate that you reach to a point where it gets harder and harder to get pleased by a perfume. But Agua El really managed to keep me on the hook. It is fresh, but not generic fresh, sweet but not gourmand - more fruity sweet I'd say, and carrying the same DNA of Loewe 7 Natural for sure, that being the Iso-E Super-ish, musky, velvety base that is just smooth. I got zero-citric elements in the opening, very smooth and on the sweet side, more tangerine/pineapple than a zesty citrus blend. I read some folks below mentioned that it is turning into a generic scent, so I will def. spend more time with it and update my review if that turns out to be the case. However, as of now, I am impressed.

my first review ever this perfume deserves to be the starter of my account, i truly fell in love with it from first smell it has perfect sillage where the person next to you would get tingled by the very fresh cold sweet smell without it being overpowering so-in-your-face, the water notes definitely adds to the flavor of the citrus notes and gets that sour smell of the fruits to go away and instead fade to sweeter side, after around 30-45 minutes it cools down with a nice light musk smell added, definitely would recommend this perfume to anyone who loves cold winter nights since this is what Loewe Agua EL reminds me of.

Agua de Loewe el, is a fruity, aquatic and musky fragrance. Its output is very fresh, citrusy and fruity, this phase is very energetic, causing a feeling of joy when using this fragrance. After 1 hour it increases the feeling aquatic a little musky and woods. This fragrance is a very good choice to use in summer and spring, because is so fresh. Its smell have some similarties with L'eau d'Issey Miyake, but in this fragrance the citrus are less stinging. Its longevity is between 7 or 8 hrs. with a regular sillage. I love this fragrance.

i got a sample of this one when i bought loewe 7 natural. i thought "i should have gotten agua de loewe". when i finished the sample i went and bought it, and can easily say that this has become one of my favorite, if not my favorite summer scent. it's clean, fresh and mature, gets compliments, and makes you feel comfortable wearing it. it's not suffocating or anything, and leaves a nice aroma on your clothes. i believe this is a summer must have, next to other respectable watery scents.

A more "blue" version of L'eau D'Issey. Beautiful lemon, orange rind, smoothed by tonka, uplifted by significant lavender, supported by rosemary and subtle woods. You have heard and smelled things like this before, but somehow, this one does it with a bit more class, which is Loewe's signature. If you have LedI, or a few other blues like VPH, you don't need this, but I got my older version bottle in a swap for something I didn't like, so I will happily keep this and enjoy it.

Clean smelling, aquatic, crisp and lively smell. I would use this to work and last me to evening. Loewe produces good fragrance, I was surprised to see that they carry this in 150 ML (5.1 FL OZ) what a nasty size that would last at least years. Of all Loewe I have, this is the most aquatic one, the SOLO edition is more manly, for grown ups. Agua de loewe EL, is acceptable to age varies from 25 above. This award 8.5/10

I had been considering this one for at least a year.Shame I waited so long. I love this as I'm a fan of fresh scents Aquatics being one of my fave. This is very unique as though it is modern it has a slightly retro feel as well I'd say about 75% modern and 25% retro. Lovely fresh and has decent longevity for an aquatic.I do about 5 spray and get 7-8 hours and about 10 as a skin scent .

Great fragrance! There are clearly similarities to L'eau d'Issey Miyake, however; for me, this fragrance smells more natural and is better blended. The longevity and projection are great! It leaves a very nice scent trail behind you as well. Overall, its a great choice for anybody who is looking for a fresh, aquatic and effervescent fragrance!

I have about ten "freshies" and this is my favorite one. It has drawn compliments, but that's not why it's my favorite- I simply love the way it smells and makes me feel confident. I absolutely cannot imagine it would offend anyone. Fantastic versatile scent. The only aspect that isn't great is that it has average longevity. Recommend!

this is probably one of my favorite fresh scents, most are a citrus bomb but this is different, if you're looking for a "safe" good aquatic/summer/fresh scent this is the one. longevity is okay, i couldnt test for sillage tho honestly. it has a slight sweetness when it dries down, feels unisex more than just masculine.

@yungspam, @ElNino-7- is absolutely right. L'Eau d'issey Pour Homme has a floral heart, while Agua El has a fruity heart. I compared them side by side. Agua El is much more interesting to me. It is one of my favorite summer fragrances. Noteworthy is its high longevity and decent projection.

A really lovely citrus bouquet, bolstered by the pineapple and black current for some deeper fruit notes. The sandalwood warms this slightly, and you get some suggestions of green, faint earthiness from the oakmoss. Doesn't break the mold but a killer summer.

Agua de loewe is absolutely stunning, one of the best and unique fresh perfumes in the market. Longevity is veeery good, plus 8 hours, sillage is above average. I also tried in winter and its also sooo good Recommend for sure

This stuff is stunning! Absolutely stunning. watery notes, beautiful, fruity and refreshing! I love it!

Handsome. Showered. Sun-kissed. Agua, El smells like the aftermath of a shower taken with the window cracked open. Warm tiles. Citrus shampoo lingering in wet hair. Clean, but human. Masculine, but only in the way of linen shirts and confident silences. Aquatic but soft like dewy droplets, none of those harsh marine synthetics here. More misted spring than chlorinated blue. Yuzu, but not the overly tart kind. Rounder, like yuzu juice stirred into cold mineral water, with that very slight fizz that cools the skin on contact. Then comes this gentle and oddly soothing entwinement of aromatics: not screechy herbal, but fresh-sliced herbs muddled into fruit. There’s apple, not flesh but a crisp, slightly woody apple peel. A leafy snap that doesn’t announce itself, crunch and charm. There’s also this barely-there shimmer of pineapple aldehyde, not enough to feel tropical or challengingly-niche. Just enough to add dimension. Musk comes as the white cotton lining inside a jacket, a whisper of clean skin. Not detergent. Not animal. More like a memory of soap than soap itself. Underneath all this poise is too, a surprisingly elegant woody base. How could someone be so put together? Sandalwood? Maybe, but stripped down, like a sketch of sandalwood. There’s also this airy cedar note, but dialed so low it reads more like handsome background noise. The kind you lean into. Nothing about this is groundbreaking, but that’s what I like about it. There’s something retro here: think old-school colognes left in sunlit bathrooms. Not dated. Just composed. I’d love to smell this on my boyfriend, a nice change instead of his usual Bvlgari Aqva and its marine salt and spice. This would be such a warm, soft-focus version—same sea breeze soul, but gentler, sweeter, like him after a swim and a nap. So smooth, subtle. Sensible. Suave.

Fresh, clean, musky and with a little bit of spice. Opens with an aromatic, soapy citrus note (orange?) It's sweet, aquatic. Has a sparkiling, effervescent, "shower-fresh," quality. Is a touch feminine but uni-sex on the whole. It's pleasant, develops a faint minty aspect alongside the orange aroma. Remains sweet and very clean. Becomes a little powdery with a white-musk accord and a subtle spiciness. There are very faint tropical-fruit wafts now and then. Only becomes muskier on the skin. Smells youthful "nineties style," maybe a little cheap, and the opening does remind me of L'eau D'issey Pour Homme. Solid projection, longevity as a skin scent is around 7hrs. Unisex, ages 20-40 (ish.) Good for spring and summer but inoffensive and so safe all year, and for the office.

Out of the other two Agua de Loewe's, this one is my favorite. Every Loewe fragrance I have tried has outstanding longevity & El does also. This is basically a ctirus/aquatic accord that has several fruity notes that blend together. It moves out from sweet/tart depending on the particular citrus you're getting. Drydown is your traditional sandalwood, musk, etc mixture. Expected, but still nice.

I first wore this back in 2010, with the old botle. The scent is still the same, amazing, fresh, so citrusy and airy, just great. The projection is gone, so is the longevity... Now has become a skin scent, no sillage, no presence, no nothing. 30 minutes and is gone. To smooth and subtle. NOP!!

saltwatery, citrusy, fruity. like you're clean out of the shower after washing your hair. or a plastic beach toy in a good way. a little masculine, but could be unisex. maybe not the most unique scent on the planet but ohh this is nice.

really nice and very masculine scent, its light without being weak if you get what i mean. Its a great refreshing summer scent and it isnt something super intricate either, a good dumb reach for the summer in my opinion.

Beautiful, clean, natural scent. Doesn’t project much, and is not much more than a skin scent for me, but it’s a refreshing change of pace from cheapie summer fragrances. I’ll use it a lot on hot days.

Screaming, LOUD calone with the usual blue notes. If you like calone, this is OK, but I find it nauseating. I'll stick to my vintage Cool Water.

Blind buy from Valencia airport, Spain - not worth the 90 Euro... Poor longevity, poor silage, after an hour’s it’s disappeared!

Honestly? this reminded me of a Nivea shower gel the 3 in 1 but its ok not that bad..

Since '7 Natural' by Loewe is one of my favourite fragrances, I tried today other scents from the house Loewe, among others 'Agua de Loewe Él'. In the beginning it starts fresh. You note that it is somehow sweet (the pineapple) but not boring-sweet or vanilla-sweet, but pleasant sweet. It remains fresh with a light touch of sweet for some time, until an half an hour later when it turns into this cheap soapy scent. Just like in CK One Summer 2013, you can feel the freshness of a green apple, but it get's powdery and dry. Maybe it's nice for others, or maybe I just had too many expectations... but it's not for me.

Sorry but this is toooo synthetic for me. Smells like plastic-tropical-fruity and also, is too boring. I tried a few fragances from Loewe and has not convinced me none. Longevity and sillage are moderate. scent: 3/10 longevity: 5/10 sillage: 5/10

Another one of your "standard blue aquatics," which means it gets ZERO points for originality and will certainly remind you of something you've smelled before. Aqua isn't such a bad entrant into this genre however--it has some nice qualities where it earns points. To begin, it's nice and crisp. The notes are buoyant and bright. The composition doesn't feel unnecessarily heavy, chunky or awkward, which is a no-no for aquatics. The notes are well put together in the sense that nothing clashes and everything seems to fit and interlock neatly into place. So as far as its structure and composition it's decent. Projection is good--above average--and longevity is about 6 hours. So to some extent, Aqua is a success. If I lacked this sort of blue aquatic scent, I wouldn't mind plugging the gap with Ague de Loewe. However, I already have at least two, so why bother with more. The notes themselves, while pleasant, don't really stand out as listed in the pyramid. Pineapple? Not really... Black currant? Maybe. Apple? Meh. What I mostly get is a vaguely fruity fresh and sour accord that seems to incorporate all of these notes and none of them at the same time. The aquatic aspect is handled fairly well, actually doing a decent job of invoking a sort of salty, marine atmosphere. Overall, Aqua de Loewe is a competent aquatic scent. For better or worse it presents a fragrance that is accurately representative of the genre, even if it doesn't bring anything particularly new or interesting to the table. Final rating: 7/10, a kind of unenthusiastic thumbs up. Subtract half a point if you're just really sick of these types of scents.

A modern day citrus frag which is refreshing to start, but goes close to the skin very quickly and does not last.. I applied 6 heavy sprays 0-5 mins . Nearly floods the room. Lovely, fresh and head turning to say the least! 5 mins - 45 mins - 10 inch projection. This is a modern, chic well done complex citrus aroma with a watery-blue feel (not really aquatic though IMHO). This does not have the distinctive smell of Issey Miyake to me, which is unique, as the top note of Issey - I think Cinammon - is not there and that IMHO is what defines Issey Homme. Lovely frag, so cool! and a little bit posh 45 mins - 2 hours. Crash landing. The projection goes down to maximum 2 inches, and its nearly a skin scent already. If you smell close to the skin then you may get a similarity to a watered down version of Chanel Blue. The little that does project is still cool and casual. It lasts on the skin to approx 4.5 hours, but it is distant and goes smokey and does not really count. This is a 2 hour frag to me Amazing cool bootle, with cool coloured blue juice and shimmering ice affect on bottle with modern sleek silver cap This does not last or project long enough on my skin to suit my tastes - it was my 38th Birthday present and undeniably lovely while it is there - I will drown myself in it in the Summer Sun and enjoy it. This is perhaps why the bottles are massive - 100 and 150 ML. I have discovered though it lasts mucg better on clothes and so I only ever spray on my shirts high up and it lasts most of the day

A new Loewe pop-up appeared at my local Neiman Marcus this week so I tried nearly the whole line of current fragrances. Out of all of them this one surprisingly stood out the most to me- not because of any technical or genre-bending achievment, but simply because in the peak heat of the summer I think I found this most refreshing. It does make me think of Issey Miyake Pour Homme, and it does remind me of a certain style of fruity-fresh blue colognes that border on shower gels...but I like it! Not much to say other than that, but I do find little pieces to enjoy outside of the very refreshing watery notes. Light florals and ripe fruit coming together with a vibrant clarity, alongside a density and sweetness in the base that gives it some substance. At it's core just a really approachable aquatic-woody musk. Sniffer 65 below probably gives the most accurate assessment, and I would guess there is some hint of clean lavender in here giving it a touch of aromatic "open-ness". It's carefree and uplifting in an oddly nostalgic way. I'm reminded of other, more niche stuff I like in this realm like Privilege by Der Duft. Not sure I would pay full price given the somewhat dated Jean-Claude Ellena style of fruity freshness, but I would pick it up at a discount. Something about it is just really enjoyable, but I do find it a bit boring and metallic in the drydown upon further review.

If you just spray this once and that's it, it might come across as fairly standard or like something you've smelled before. But once you spend more time with it, you begin to realize that it isn't actually redundant or just another copy. There's something genuinely interesting about it. Some people may dismiss it as generic, but it really isn't. There's a certain quality to it, especially in the drydown, that sets it apart from the usual designer fragrances. It's a very pleasant scent, clearly made to be worn in summer and high heat. In fact, the warmer the weather, the better it gets. This one isn't going to become cloying, and it remains surprisingly solid even in high humidity. I should know, I sweat even in winter. Considering it comes from Spain, that makes perfect sense. Sadly, I can't seem to find it anywhere anymore, and my little bottle is slowly running dry. I really hope it hasn't been discontinued. P.S somebody said that this smells like Sel d'issey. I ordered that one and sent it back cause i find it unpleasent, so yeah... take that comparison with a grain of salt.

This EDT is a fresh, aquatic woody. It is a well-made fragrance. By nature I Aromatic Aquatic group will look nice. A very early development of aquatic notes and citrus with a slightly woody aquatic body with a hint of apple, nice, sandalwood base notes mainly. A good aroma but nothing to impress. Their use should believe more in times of heat, is cool, a great choice for grown men, although it has no atmosphere to impress a sophisticated aroma can look with a good linen suit. Use primarily for formal outings. Its atmosphere may resemble some of the aquatic sober as by Kenzo Kenzo pour Homme Aqva pour Homme and by Bvlgari. Recommended.

Nothing special, a refreshing shower and citruses. It's not my dearest profile, and I much prefer Bvlgari Rain Man to this as an aquatic, but it is rather pleasant. The citrus oils come across as synthetic per usual, but not overly so - it is still wearable and does not cause me a headache, which is a rarity with these types of scents for me. It's an easy wear for a man who likes fresh scents, for me it scratches no itches but is tolerable. Not much else to say, it's a subtle shower gel scent. Aquatic synthetic citrus with synthetic woods in the base and a metallic tinge, but done okay. Lacks personality, even for a mild scent.

ive had this one before but just the 50 ML version, all i can remember is that it smells like NIVEA Men Shower Gel 3 in 1, it smells exactly like that, hated it, there are much more better fresh perfumes for the price so do not buy for a full bottle of this one just cuz its Loewe. However, the website ive had this from was exposed for selling fake products and from personaly experience ive had with them ive realized that too so thats why im not bothering much with describing the perfume, might not be a real one the one ive had.

This is simply a Deluxe version of L'Eau d'issey Pour Homme, but it is an improvement in every way. The citrus note is less sharp and more rounded, there is extra soapiness on the dry-down and subtle and lightly sweet aquatic notes in the middle. It lacks the harsh metallics of L'Eau d'issey's opening and to me lasts longer on skin. It's a dumb-grab fragrance for warm to hot weather, best for day and works also at night, but by no means is it distinctive.

Although they haven't spent millions on marketing (like Gucci do for their crappy fragrances) this is a stunning fragrance. Sexy, refreshing perfect for day-to-day wear. Not sure if it is suitable for nightwear, but during the day it gives me incredible comfort. I feel clean and fresh. The most amazing part is that it lasts long unlike my other fav Blue Label. They are quite similar but i choose Loewe for its longevity. Highly recommend!

I do understand why people tend to like this. It's fresh, citrus-aquatic, undertones of fruitiness. What's not to like? Well, it's super-synthetic, doesn't inspire to anything, is totally devoid of personality, and doesn't last very long. As others have already pointed out before me. It's not bad, but it's not amazing either. Perfume should be amazing. Not cheap.

Ohhh, what a big dissapointment and waste of money. The top note is sooooo strong and chemically artificial! Smells like a cheap men's cologne and last, ( unfortunately), a long, long time. Not my favorite to say the least...; but, I do like the 'Solo' for men, beautiful, classy and light.

This is your typical aquatic-fruity scent with a slightly salty vibe. The fruity notes kind of blur together and aren’t really distinct. The drydown is nice, even though there’s that plasticky undertone you get a lot in newer releases. For reference, I’m reviewing the older bottle.

Great citrus aquatic fragrance. Works perfectly in warm weather. I have no complaints about longevity, probably some of you should try one more time because some perfume change and adapt to one's chemestry... Recommended as other Loewe fragrances....

A great and unique combination of citrus notes, the result is extremely fresh but still masculine, love to wear it on a bright sunny day, plus the performance on my skin is outstanding, lasts about 10 hours. A 'deep cut' fragrance no doubt.

This scent got me so hooked. I so adore it! Very nice hot weather scent and I truly love the opening and the whiffs I got from it on and off. No regrets getting this nice beautiful blue translucent icy blue matte bottle.

Nautica voyage with the seaweed note from Bvlgari Aqva. If you don’t like that note you won’t like this, even if you’re a voyage fan. Side note it smells like fierce for the first 2 min.

Smells exactly like Le Sel d’Issey Issey Miyake without the mineral note. If you want the mineral note get Le Sel d’Issey Issey Miyake. If you don’t want the mineral note get this.
