Agua de Loewe Mar de Coral

I received this from Loewe, Spain yesterday. I ordered it online almost a month ago. * this EDT has impressed me so much. I love Davidoff Cool Water for women, but I have been looking for a fragrance that I can use that is similar to it but isn't D&G Light Blue. * I've found a Davidoff Cool Water for Women alternative :) Loewe Mar Del Coral reminds me of Aqua do Gio, Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, & Miracle So Magic. * it opens with a sweet and refreshing lemony punch that resembles limoncillo, then Aqua de Loewe Mar de Coral warms into a buttery mixture of orange and lily of the valley, then it finally comes to a beautiful fade out of white musk that smells like Miracle So Magic. * the vanilla notes and amber notes are faint, which is a plus since I don't enjoy either of the two in an aquatic perfume. * I recommend this for fragrance collectors who like citrusy perfumes but prefer the I'm-on-vacay-by-the-sea type of citrusy perfume over the I'm-touring-a-rose-garden-in-France-and-I-adore-Natalie-Portman type of citrusy fragrance ensemble. :) * Apologies to those who don't agree but I basically have come to believe that there are 2 kinds of mainstream citrus based perfumes: Miss Dior & not Miss Dior :D * in order to be classified as a not Miss Dior type, the fragrance should be fun, though. * Loewe's latest is fun, indeed. Citric and fresh. Its a perfect summer fragrance, I love it! Plus the bottle is awesome

Love this. Its freshy, very citrisy and a light, office friendly scent.

Salted citrus sorbet and petals in hand cream. Did not expect this to outshine Agua Drop, which was the equivalent of a perfectly creased white shirt and a grapefruit you trust. But this one, ohhh my, this is seafoam laughter and beachlight, citrus and mineral and milk. One spritz. An effervescence I didn’t realize I’d been craving: yuzu and pomelo, sliced into sunlight, bitter bounce and zest fizzing over skin like a citrus soda made with snowmelt. Cherry tomatoes ripe from the vine hum from a nearby a reed basket. Slightly sweet, slightly green, like the fruit’s translucent flesh catching summer light, flesh and fruit skin just shy of savory. And as it warms, soft cream. Not cream in the lactonic, milky, edible sense, but more a whipped softness. Like neroli chiffon left out to dry on a warm marble step. The citrus lingers (quietly), but what takes over is this lush but breathable orange blossom and lily of the valley interweave. All things innocent and airy, but with a creamy butteriness underneath. It has this stunning skin-sinking texture, like when your body has absorbed the warmth of the sea and you don’t quite notice the breeze anymore. Yet it cools, nonetheless. There’s mint here, not bracing, not toothpaste, just a suggestion of coolness. Exquisitely balanced. It feels like a postcard in scent form. Or ratherc a memory of a photo of a postcard. Vague in a magical way. Breezy, citrusy, floral, but done with such finesse, such restraint, you never feel overwhelmed. Everything whispers in color. Surprisingly emotional, for something so light. A delicate, dreamy watercolor of citrus fruit, salt, and blurred white petals.

7.2/10 This smells VERY similar to Agua Miami Beach. Miami Beach has a citrus fizziness that Mar De Coral doesn't have, especially in the opening 30 minutes. And for that reason, I prefer Miami Beach. Loewe uses an accord in a lot of their fragrances that smells exactly like pencils, and I don't enjoy it. This has it and so does Miami Beach and Solo Atlas. I wanted to like this, but it's kind of forgettable. The most prominent note for me is jasmine. There are so many different citruses in the opening, they become indistinguishable. I would describe this a subtle, daily fragrance for running errands. Not special enough to be a signature scent. Opens with very nice, zesty citrus fruits, paired with such a lovely creamyness. Gosh, I love it! This opening lasts until 2 mins, literally. What I've got afterwards is Burberry's Baby Touch. Fully identical, and damn, I just gave Baby Touch away because I never touched it (hahaha). I liked it, but somehow never picked it, not even for lazy Sunday afternoons at home, or anything. And now I blindbought an identical copy of it, for a 4x price. Silly-silly me, when will I learn? Luckily tried the tester first and can return the untouched (again, hahaha) full bottle to the webstore. Nevertheless, the smell is nice, soft, balanced, sweet aquatic one indeed, just apparently not my cup of tea.

For being pretty much a pure citrus it is long lasting. If you want like a true citrus that is beautifully made and actually lasts most of the day this is a great one. Has that very fresh, slightly aquatic vibe. Definitely gives you that Amalfi Coast vibe in a fragrance.

Smells almost identical to Loewes Agua Miami, a tad lighter and more feminine. But almost zero longevity and projection, is gone within minutes. Still the Loewe Agua's will forever be my "Holidays on the Canaries" fragrances.

This is nice. Fresh and softly aromatic. It’s a good scent if you are looking for a quiet green fragrance. It smells like hand made soap. It’s pleasant and relaxing. Great for summer days. A safe blind buy in my opinion.

Fresh and breezy perfume, it really brings on sea and oceans vibes as its name would suggest. It's not very long-lasting though, but still a nice go-to summer fragrance.

The initial burst of citrus is nice, but the soft creamy/powdery note that creeps in on the dry down comes across like baby wipes to me.

Citrusy, neroli with a little bit of musk and a touch of mint. Not despise it, but would not wear it either.

Sparkling summer nights... have you ever smelt Spanish ladies as they walk past you, at 7pm in the middle of a sultry Summer...? Have you wondered what they're wearing and couldn't find it in the UK? This is that smell, captured beautifully by Loewe, this is that haunting sparkling scent of young love on holiday, carefree souls... just got out of the shower and smell a bit fresh and sexy before hitting the club's... I adore it. Try laying a base of L'Oreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water Moisturiser first - trust me, this stuff underneath any citrus perfume intensifies the scent (try this with Angel Schlesser Flor de Naranjo). I came across this by accident after over pumping - it's pretty amazing!

Aparentemente tuve mucha suerte con este perfume, porque veo mucha gente decir que no dura nada. Lo testé al mismo tiempo que testeé otros en mi brazo (blue de Antonio banderas, uno celeste de ciel, boum savon, y otro de patagonia) y este les ganó la carrera en el tiempo. Me sorprendió su duración para ser un EAU de toilette. Tiene una estela íntima agradable, fresco acuatico / cítrico en la salida, que se convierte en Floral en el tiempo. Lo usaré para la oficina en verano.

Opens with a big hit of lemon and then becomes a very fresh sweet aquatic cologne. Marketed as unisex but I would say it's 70% feminine :D The packaging is beautiful but makes me sad because coral everywhere on earth is dying due to global warming. Addendum: I keep my scents in the cool and dark and yet this has died in under a year! It is now just cedar and acrid woodsyness. Lemon has gone, sweetness has gone :(((

We Spaniards get used from a very young age to be sent to school drenched in baby cologne like Nenuco or Denenes; so most of us develop the habit of keeping a bottle around for refreshing ourselves when we grow up. This and others of the same line are like the adult version of that. Smells pleasant and relaxing, very citric with the right sharpness to keep you awake and it lasts all day on clothes.

A very pleasant citrusy smell in a wonderful bottle. Perfect for summer days and even spring, it lasts a while and it reminds me of Scala a Portofino by Dior. I think it is a limited version but I love this type of fragances. I Have a 2ml spray sample and I am enjoying it to the last drop. ''Timeless and universal freshness'' it is what it is written on it :D

Starts out very fresh clean a bit soapy/shampoo then fully becomes citrusy. Eventually it becomes a citrusy CoolWater which is awesome, less of that Tide detergent smell but all the good things plus citrus! Didn’t think I would like it but its decent like 7/10 but for this price and given that the longevity is no better than coolwater, just buy coolwater.

Great cologne, summer in a bottle, perfect for warm days. Smells similar to Chevrefeuille of Yves Rocher, a scent I used in the early ' 80s, which has been discontinued. To be honest it's more a female than a man's sent, but will definitely buy it again next summer. Love the bottle too!

I have this but in the blue box n bottle with underwater scenes on. Wish you left the original packaging up, or made another entry for this one into database instead of changing it. Addendum: It was back, now it's not?? Please can we have a separate entry for the other packaging?

It smells like classic eau de cologne but it was my mom's scent before she died so i keep her bottle to remember her. But objectively this is what any classic eau de toilette smells like.

Baby-cologne! great life in my skin!
