Earth Elixir

Testing Earth Elixir from a official Loewe 1.5 ml sample. It’s an interesting concept. Pairing very powdery florals like violet and mimosa with earthy notes like oud and black truffles and brightening up the mix with a sweet, watery pear and a fruity-floral rosy scent from cistus incanus. It’s a really addictive scent, I am not going to lie, I want this in my collection. Don’t have currently anything like it. Have some mimosa perfumes, cause I adore this yellow, sunny flower, but not like this! Fairly versatile, could be worn daily, except during hot summer days. Feminine floral perfume but with an earthy twist. Loewe is creating absolute powerhouse fragrances lately. Yes, they come with the expected higher price tag, but I really feel they stepped up a notch with the release of their Elixir line. And the underrated Paula’s Ibiza collection! So impressed with their offerings!

So right off the bat, this elixir and the EDP smell very similar to Gris Dior. There is no getting round that. I have always admired Gris Dior, its melancholic airiness. However I felt it was far too feminine for me to wear. Maybe a spray on the wrist at home for my own enjoyment but not something I could pull off in the outside world. Loewe Earth Elixir fixes that. The elixir is in general a stronger scent than Gris, it's also earthier and woodier which I think makes it lean unisex. Some might even find it more masculine leaning. The truffle gives it that more rounded and earthier note. It's a very special scent DNA and I think Loewe has done an excellent job of executing it. Performance and silliage also trump the Dior version.

i tried this and i fell in love with it! the opening notes quickly disappear on me. a sharp, acidic wet soil smell -- definitely pleasant as it transforms into a tridimensional airy violet perfume. after a while the violet feels melancholic and sits close to the skin, as if you are breathing violet in a place filled with snow. it is a timid smell that lasted on me for about 3hrs. the complete drydown doesn't feel as fantastic as the beginning or middle part of experiencing this perfume, but i really enjoyed it as an experience.

Loved this fragrance immediately after sniffing a sample ! I've been chasing it for a while now until it appeared on my favorite discounter! Beautiful, natural floral smell. It does remind me a little of Sauvage Elixir but more like a softer, less aromatic, unisex take on that scent impression. It also reminds me of what my sister's Rexona's smelled like in the early 90ies. Performance is yet to be tested but God, this smells so fresh and comfortable! I would recommend it under $150.

I absolutely love this. It's floral, yet earthy and resinous. It's plush yet gritty. I don't need this right away because I have Eau des Merveilles. It has the same citrusy glitter to it. It does smell like there's fir in it. It does eventually give way to a slightly subtle violet and powdery mimosa, but it's not quite different enough for me to need both. If you don't have Eau des Merveilles, 100% get this

Been testing this last few days from a sample. It's more masculine leaning so not for me. That being said. This is a lovely fresh fragrance. Almost reminiscent of the OG Davidoff cool waters. Initial spray you get a fresh pear . I do not detect truffle at all. The violet and oud quickly comes through (the oud is done just right. Not pungent) The dry down was my favourite. Very clean, powdery with aquatic notes this is where I felt it became more like cool waters . My husband really enjoyed this fragrance hence why I feel it's more masculine leaning

Earthy, a meadow full of aromatic herbs and grasses. Resinous trees surround it. The freshness and soothing qualities of nature. Unisex, though leaning towards the masculine side. Projection and longevity are excellent—distinct yet not overpowering. The scent embodies calm, masculine, and balanced strength.

its good and Unique cant go wrong with it for me its a bit too feminin but its a realy good pear parfum.

Earth Elixir is pretty, and I prefer it over the original Earth. Earth is, unfortunately, very sheer, and this version at least has a bit more volume and density to it (but not enough). Still, at least on me, we cannot really talk about powerhouse performance, and I am always quite hesitant to spend money on poorly performing fragrances, even if I like the scent itself. You will never see me buy Replicas for this very reason, and the same applies to most Loewe fragrances. It is unisex, balanced, and indeed earthy. Very low-key, which I actually like about Loewe. It is not fruity, and the pear is not really there, nor is the truffle. I think these fragrance pyramids are bogus. Overall, it is a clean, musky body spray, unisex leaning masculine. It is nice, but not worth the price.

The notes listed on Fragrantica are very wrong — actually, terrible! Anyone with a working sense of smell could verify that. The opening immediately smells like the fragrance’s name, evoking an earthy scent. But that soon fades, revealing the real notes: a combination of citrus (bergamot, lemon, and bitter orange) with cedar and patchouli, plus a strong herbal touch (the ingredients list geraniol, citronellol, linalool, and terpineol). There’s no pear, no truffle, none of that. There’s a slight sweetness once it dries down, but it’s not gourmand. It has a hint of synthetic violet and vanilla.

That’s a lovely citrusy scent with lots of fresh yellow florals in it. It has a bit of sharpness and almost aquatic saltiness that I usually get from fresh white flowers like neroli, but maybe it’s the truffle note idk. In general it’s a nice uplifting scent but also quite strange at the same time. My ig: scent.guide

Opens with a watery pear and a bit of a weird note... makes me think of mold. But it soon becomes a humid, powdery, floral scent. There's something slightly mushroomy about it, the type of smell you catch around damp earth and decaying wood, but in a delicate way.

As for me it is very similar to Oud Mineral TF.
