La Bella Cibeles

Oh, wow. Oh wow wow wow. Yes, this is extremely similar to La Vie Est Belle, however this is not only "cleaner" (I'll get to this in a minute) but it's also lacking that nebulous synthetic note that mainstream designer perfumes can sometimes have--I've always adored LVEB but never bought it as it's a game of Russian Roulette as to whether it will trigger a headache. The citrus La Belle Cibeles claims to have instead reads as fruits; not as potent as with LVEB where the pear is unmistakable (and depending on skin chemistry, the blackcurrant too), instead it it acts as a (forgive me for repeating myself but it does convey how I'm experiencing this perfume!) nebulous sweetness that also adds a pinch of freshness. The patchouli too is here but not as hard-hitting as LVEB. None of this is to say it's lighter however! The silage is just as powerful. It definitely could be the mere power of suggestion but the so-called violet is reading as orange blossom to me, ha. As for why I feel this is "cleaner", the one thing I DON'T pick up on is the praline note found in LVEB. That note is unmistakable for me as praline/chocolate notes read very synthetic and musky on my skin, if it was here I'd know it. Overall I can't help but feel this is an intentional copy of LVEB, perhaps with the prompt to smooth out its imperfections--in which case, mission accomplished. Having said all that... the price point??? I really can't justify it when LVEB is right there for half the price. Buy this if you're feeling particularly bougie, buy LVEB if you want this but at a more wallet-friendly price.

I was completely mesmerised by this perfume upon first sniff and have had my bottle for a few months now. The scent is pleasant, inoffensive, and beautifully crafted. Don’t let the patchouli note deter you; it’s tucked far into the base and blended so seamlessly that it’s hardly detectable. The violet and iris are present but balanced, never overpowering the overall composition. The best way to describe this fragrance is as a sweet, airy, citrusy blend, with a touch of vanilla-like warmth, though vanilla isn’t listed in the notes. This is a perfect spring/summer perfume: light and ethereal, blooming beautifully in warmer weather. While it can certainly be worn year-round, it truly shines in the warmer months, where its airy, fairy-like qualities come to life. The only thing I dislike about this perfume is the price. I still want the entire collection.

I bought aire Sutileza and they gave me a little sample of this—it’s soooo good. This smells sweet, I can’t really detect the citruses or patchouli at all, I can only smell how floral it is. I think there is vanilla in this as well, it’s not as citrusy as fragrantica is telling you. Definitely leans more on the feminine side but I wouldn’t be shock ed if men also like this.

This is unbelievably irresistible. Sweet and seductive. I can’t understand why more people don’t know about this perfume. It deserves to get hyped. I’m really scared It will get discontinued. Needs more ad.

Soo good. Got it as a tester along with aire, solo, and earth and this one cleared. I would say im very against vanilla/warm gourmand scents typically, but this is just so good im actually considering buying a full bottle. I think if i had to choose 1 vanilla gourmand perfume it was be this. Really good for all weather too, has great signature scent potential

Tested this at Galeries Lafayette. It's fruity florar, long lasting and strong - gave me a headache. My husband thought he smelled strawberries and at some point I did too. It dried after about an hour to a more sweet floral scent and survived a shower 4 or so hours later. This is not for me, but I believe it worth a try.

Smells like soap. Noting more nothing less. Smelled nice on first spray but then turned into a clean floral soap scent. Nothing complex and nothing groundbreaking or new. Super feminine, I don't see a man wearing this at all.

Nice one, sweet and fruity, but the price does not justify the poor longevity and projection. For me this one sits close to skin after 10 mins
