Loewe 001 Woman

Update: The more I wear/smell this, the more I am in love with it. It's one of those fragrances that rents space in my head. This is MY kind of floral. As someone who usually loves to wear gourmands, woody, and spicy-leaning fragrances - I have found I quite adore this one. It has just enough sweet & woodsy touches. It's special and underrated. I am nervous to run out of my 1 oz bottle, so I'm on the hunt for a 3.4 size. Luckily it can be found fairly cheap. I still find it close to Blanche Bete and prefer this one to it, although I will be picking up full-size of that one as well. ...I also want to add that Loewe 001 Man is another underrated gem and is squarely Unisex. That one is a more substantial (projects & lasts more than) Byredo Gypsy Water. Similar scent profile, but stronger. That was my gripe with GW so I found a great solution! It's not a dupe. 001 Man is better. Highly recommend both (001's) ♡ Original Post: This has something in common with Liquides Imaginaires Blanche Bete. This comes off like a creamy (almost lactonic) white floral and shares some similar notes in the pyramid. This can even read similar to Kilian LDBS because the jasmine+tangerine comes off like LDBS's orange blossom/neroli. Except this fragrance doesn't get into the cloying category that LDBS can sometimes. This would be a more everyday version, easier to wear. On some occasions LDBS can annoy me, where this is a little bit toned down in that cloying aspect. Overall I really like this fragrance and when I want to wear something to feel more girly & floral I will reach for this over my usual types.

Plush citrus musk. The musk is pillowy, downy, almost lactonic. It’s livened by pulpy tangerine, with sandalwood seeds and a flutter of jasmine stars. It’s a smooth, slumbery caress of a scent. An ASMR croon that everything is going to be okay. I like it far better on my skin (leans tangy) than on fabric (leans lotion-y). Byredo has a body lotion called Le Chemin (that you can only waft at select “Luxury Collection” hotels), which is also a woody-citrus-cream. I was disappointed to find there is no Le Chemin perfume, but 001 Woman is my closest match yet. The most luxurious week of my life was a weeklong business trip where I roosted at the Josun Palace in Seoul and practically marinated in that butter. And, dear reader, some of that Luxury Collection lotion may have found itself siphoned into a few $1 travel containers... Mental Snapshot: A solitary wellness retreat, to a cottage of your choosing. Everything closes by three, but you want for nothing. The grocer at the sun-bleached bodega sees that you get at least two of her homemade sourdough loaves a day. You lay in a wildflower patch, curling snug beneath a marshmallowy duvet, and watch creatures shift in the clouds. You reunite with all your childhood imaginary friends. tl;dr: asmr tangerine 🛌🍊

This is my latest obsession. I tried it on at a mall and it was an instant love. I’ve been looking for an amber-y, creamy, fresh scent after my Narciso Rodriguez ambree (which I still also adore) has just no staying power whatsoever. This scent surprised me for its freshness (I’m generally not into bergamot, it often overpowers things) and it’s young, clean, unassuming nature, while still being creamy and lush. It’s that effortlessly cool girl that makes everything look good even if it’s just a white shirt and jeans. It would difficult not to appear well-put together with this scent. It has a bit of that freshly shampooed vibe, and that skin plump with lotion aesthetic. That might also be because of the coconut that nobody else mentions but absolutely shines here. Can’t imagine myself growing tired of this one. It’s so very versatile, comforting and chic, but without trying. This would do well in most seasons, maybe layered in winter for more depth? I don’t know... it’s taking me somewhere. I feel like I’m on vacation while wearing it. Nothing bad can happen as long as my 001 bottle stays filled.

The only reason it isn’t more popular is that it’s not a beast—it’s designed to be soft and intimate, making it an underrated gem for warm-weather wear.

As often happens, the spray test in the store was wonderful. When I got it home, I was worried. Initial lift reminded me of Creed Millesime, a fragrance with which I've had a love/unlove relationship. But after a few moments, the sandalwood and the citrus started their delicate dance. Then notes of jasmine. Finally, amber notes that give the fragrance a really wonderful presence. It is not at all synthetic to me (except perhaps that initial lift). Earlier reviews mention the price. I got it at Barneys and it was under $100--about normal for anything that's not sold everywhere. For me, a lovely fragrance that has the potential to transcend seasons. A keeper.

I've been obsessing about perfumes and finding the perfect scent. I was looking for a scent that I felt captured an essence of beach saltiness in a more mature way. In a trip to Sephora to hunt for perfumes I started to smell the entire Loewe collection and boy oh boy this one really stands out. I think the Sandalwood in this one, mixed with the Bergamot and pink pepper, notes that I love in most perfumes, really comes out in an unique way on this one. Feel like its very wearable for both day and night, but I just get transported to a really hot evening, going out for drinks in a tropical city. Can't really go wrong with this one I feel.

This is gorgeous! I’m loving sandalwood that’s creamy and not dry. This is a softer and more muted version of Santal Blush. It’s a fruitier and softer with less spice. Seems to be pretty soft and wears close to the skin. This smells so nostalgic to me. Growing up my mom had her fancy jewelry in a fancy wooden Jeremy box and it smells exactly like this perfume. Maybe an inverter this and Santal Blush. I always loved the waft of the spicy wood whenever I would go into her jewelry box. I love this and want the EDT version. That seems to be sold out everywhere. If someone wants to sell me the EDT, please message me. Canada only.

She's cuddly, sophisticated, and professional. The tangerine is sumptuously gift wrapped in the silky sandalwood and amber. It's delicious and very pleasant. It smells like everything being taken care of by the company you're on a work trip for. Really really pleasant and tangerine forward. The musk is the crowd pleaser here that helps make it a safe blind buy. It's like a hug from your fashionable and serene mum who just got home from the office to check on you while you're in bed with a fever.

This is such an alluring sandalwood scent! In my opinion, it leans feminine. Woody fragrances are usually too sharp or masculine for me, but this one is a win. Sandalwood and Jazmin are what I mostly recognize. I suppose that vanilla contributes to the mild sweetness but I hardly recognize it (which is an attribute because I don't enjoy vanilla that much). My skin ends up smelling like an expensive sandalwood body lotion. Indeed, it is extremely versatile. Love it!

Wow, first I sprayed this on my scarf at an airport and it started haunting me. It's a (sandal)woody skin scent with a liqueur-like fruity top note that makes it very sexy. The woody base might be somewhat common place but this doesn't bother me, I just love the whole thing! I call the creamy fruity top a white port wine note and I even get some Atlantic sea spray since this perfume is amalgamated with the city of Porto for me.

What a love! When first sprayed I get fresh cut pineapple (although not listed among the notes) with just a hint of woods. Then, after half an hour or so, mandarin and sandalwood takes over. It reminds me of the sunset on a tropical Island. The kind that is pictured on vintage posters. Orange and pink skies, the huge setting sun and black silhouettes of palm trees. Mysterious!

This perfume ozes class and smells creamy and beautiful sandlewood and amber come through, like a succulent bath wash. I feel so sexy wearing this brought this on my trip to mexico and works well in the heat. I feel amazing different and unique beautiful smell!! 100%

tried this on a whim because i liked the bottle design and couldn't stop thinking about it. it's a beautiful, subtle, fresh yet creamy scent and i can see it becoming my signature fragrance. i wish it lasted longer, i find myself reapplying throughout the day.

I love this. Sandalwood that's simple and sweet, not too hippy or old feeling. It's become one of my favorite easy/dumb reaches. Hard to find -for me in the US. It's well worth trying or blind buying even if you like sandalwood and sweet notes.

for some reason I got mango rather than orange type of note. and i loved it. both the men and women's version are amazing, high quality. this is easy to love

Perhaps no point in buying Devil's Intrigue while you can afford this wonderful scent Tho projection could've been much better

Starts out somewhere between Zadig & Voltaire This is Her without the chemical, maltol vibe and Santal 33 without the pickle tinge. Some juicy tangerine over milky sandalwood. A shy but present white floral facet is discernable. I hate the phrase "smells niche" because niche simply means that the primary focus of the house is perfumery and I'm a self-confessed pedant. So I'll say that this doesn't smell like a mainstream fashion house release. However, it's very wearable and there's nothing "weird" going on here. In the dry down emerges the woodier, powdery side. It doesn't smell like Santal Blush at all to me aside from sharing a dominant sandalwood note (but who knows what 'reminds me of' even means anymore). This is much 'damper', retaining a bit of the pulpy citrus and milkier nuances throughout, which adds some nice dimension. This smells really good. Some thought went into this that's lacking in other fashion releases, as evidenced by the surge in demand for niche fragrances. It's not groundbreaking or super unique in its profile, but it's a well made scent that performs well and suits myriad occasions and moods. Worth buying for sure.

Sandalwood. My eternal love-hate affair. Sometimes too creamy, sometimes too dry, sometimes so suffocatingly pickly it clings as a headache. But here—here, it’s a sigh, not a statement. Airy, smooth, a soft-focus warmth that never overstays. It doesn’t lean Mysore-heavy, nor does it veer into the sharp, pencil-shaving crispness of the Australian kind. Just an easy, featherlight glow. Balanced. Unintrusive. Behaved! Jasmine flickers through, but only barely—a ghost of white petals instead of the whole blossom, caught in the wood grain, smoothening it. And then there’s the vanilla, not thick or custardy but more of a translucent sweetness, like the last trace of an elegant, gourmand-adjacent perfume on a silk scarf. Held taut by citrus, soft but acidic, much the invisible warrior keeping this from melting into oblivion. It's nice (and I say this with no contempt), and nice is all it is. Effortlessly wearable, elegant, clean without being dull. A sandalwood I can say I like, entire composition and all.
