Solo Loewe Eau de Cologne Intense

There is a reason I stayed away from the Solo family for so long: the smell of guava. In Brazil we say that if you leave one guava in the fridge you will have to change it next day, the fridge, I mean. The smell won't desappeare, never. But I was looking for scents with lavender and came across these Loewe fragrances. Yes, there is the guava, but it is the leaves and not the fruit. It is strong but fresh and gree and a bit arid/earthy. The citrus note is very suave, faint. The lavender is a marvellous smell from start to finish. Ant there is also an amber-ish/woody base. all these factors make Solo Eau de cologne Concentree a very masculine smell. And it lasts, and it lasts ... just like an EDT would. Solo Absoluto is more robust, thickier, sweeter, but shares the DNA fo Solo Eau de Cologne. Iwill get the Solo original by next week and I am hoping for a much full body version of the EDCC. Fingers crossed. It's very easy to say that this EDCC is an atempt to create a very modern eau de cologne, almost as Gucci did early 2000 launching a barbershop scent encarnated in River Gauche. Here we have an eau de cologne as close to the original as possible: citrus-aromatic-lightwood. The guava leaf doesn't add much change in the formula. What's new is this EDC duration, projection, stay power. I cannot image a situation in which Solo EDCC wouldn't be appropriated. Perhaps not too formal for evening big events. Maybe. For all these reason i can see why Solo family is not that popular, it does't trail the same path the modern metrossexual fragrances for men do these days. But on the other hand, fans of male classic scents will love this, specially because it doesn't smell dated, at all. It lastS well over 12 hours on a hot and dry climate like mine. One last thing: the opening is really chaotic, strange, almost bezarre. But wait about 30 min ...

Fresh and fruity. Not at all aquatic so don't be fooled by the color of the box and the juice. This is definitely a fragrance that smells better in the air/passing by than sticking your nose directly into it. The guava note is weird and may be off-putting if you smell it too close, but in the composition it fits very nicely. I would say the fragrance is well-blended. If you're a fan of the Loewe Solo line, nothing here will surprise you. It's basically a "sport" interpretation of the usual citrus/guava combination the line is known for, though that combination alone makes it a good candidate for such a flanker. I know some people don't like the original Loewe Solo because the orange note is too strong, so if you're one of those people I would give this Cologne Intense (kind of a contradictory name, isn't it?) flanker a try. The bottom line is this is a nice, refreshing warm-climate fragrance that has lots of character, perfectly suited for a vacation at some beachy resort. Does not smell like Azzaro Chrome at all.

I get a lot of melon and lavender in the dry down along with the prominent guava note. This smells like something I would wear if I was partying in Miami or somewhere like that. It's very beachy, it's very warm weather. It smells bright and very watery too but not in the usual aquatic sense. It's got that Solo vibe in there as well. I also get an Azzaro Chrome similarity like other people do. It's a great fragrance but I kinda wish it was an eau de toilette like the other Solo variations but it still works good. I get great projection so it's an intense cologne for sure. I give this a 9.1/10 Later on I could smell this on my t-shirt over 13 hours later! This stuff is great! It just takes a minute to get going at first but once it does it's like a rocket launched into space. It keeps going and won't stop!

Solo Loewe Intense opens with a moderate projection combining lavender, guava, and costus. The opening is sweet, fruity but the costus creates a dirty musky slightly offensive note that lasts for just a moment, then it dissipates leaving behind a lavender, citrus, and patchouli fragrance. The lavender is the floral prominent note, it adds its characteristic clean-like touch; the fruity tones group themselves but the sweetness of the guava and melon are noticeable, followed by the sharpness of the citrus notes. The patchouli has a vibrant entrance but it fades quickly becoming just a green soft touch. As the fragrance commences to dry-down, the amber and white musk combine their accords creating a slightly sweet, resinous, slightly powdery, and projecting accord. The cinnamon, caraway, and pepper are there to spice the fragrance just a bit and are not prominent. The most noticeable changes from the opening to the dry-down are, the dissipation of the costus musky pungent note, which comes, stays for about a minute, and then quickly leaves, and, the almost entirely dissipation of the citrus and green accords. Once Solo Loewe Intense has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a moderate projection, mildly sweet, lavender, and ambery fragrance with white musk, soft fruity and citrus accords. The fragrance feels clean, common, diurnal, energizing, faint, fresh, gentle, inexpensive, masculine, modern, relaxing, weak, woody, and very pleasant. BATCH REVIEWED: 2020 WOW RATING: 5/10. It is a pleasant fragrance, but it feels very common. DISLIKE RATING: 0/10. The dry-down of this is a fragrance unlikely to offend anyone; the brief opening contains a musky dirty note that is likely to be found offensive. UNIQUENESS: 5/10. The combination of notes is relatively common. MASS APPEAL: 10/10. This is a mass-appeal fragrance. PROJECTION: 2/10. Low, about two feet or less. SILLAGE: 2/10. Very low, almost none. APPLICATION: Six atomizations, spray your clothes to improve performance. LONGEVITY: 3/10. About 3 hours with 1 hour of moderate to low projection. SEASONS: Spring, summer, and fall. The fragrance is too weak for winter but would be worn. OCCASIONS: Formal events, outdoor gatherings, office, business, casual, holidays, romantic, dating. This is an office-friendly fragrance. VERSATILITY: 7/10. Very good, Solo Loewe Intense is a very versatile fragrance. GENDER: Masculine. The spicy notes lean it to the masculine side but not for much. AGES: Any. RECOMMENDATION: Solo Loewe Intense is a pleasant and highly versatile fragrance, but it feels mainstream and far from special. It is a nice-to-have but not a must-have. BLIND-BUY: Yes, but only if you are familiar with its main notes. SIMILAR: These are similar fragrances. Mont Blanc Legend features lavender, citrus, floral and woody accords, a very pleasant fragrance with moderate performance. Bentley Momentum Men EDT features woody, citrus, and aquatic notes, a pleasant fragrance that lacks performance; Solo Loewe Intense is a lavender, fruity, and soft ambery fragrance with moderate performance; Parfums de Marly Percival is slightly sweet lavender, and fresh woody fragrance with very poor performance. SUMMARY: A moderate projection, mildly sweet, lavender, and ambery fragrance with white musk, softly fruity, and citrus accords. The fragrance feels clean, common, diurnal, energizing, faint, fresh, gentle, inexpensive, masculine, modern, relaxing, weak, woody, and very pleasant.

After the great success obtained with Solo Loewe, the brand decided to create something fresher, a version for daytime and daily use, trying to keep the DNA and the note of guava, loved by some and unnoticed by others. Then, in 2008 (four years after the release of the original version), arose this blue version with a gist of black sheep of the family. This is a fragrance with Eau de Cologne Intense concentration, i.e. they used the highest level of essence allowed for an EDC, in a composition full of high-quality ingredients, and the result is a fragrance that behaves like an EDT (Eau de Toilette) in terms of projection and longevity. Solo Loewe Eau de Cologne Intense has notes of thyme, lavender, and guava, on top; Cashmere wood, patchouli, Costus (known in Brazil as cana-do-brejo or periná), melon, lemon, and mandarin, in the heart; Green pepper, cinnamon, and cumin, in the base. The company employed high-quality materials in this Solo line and the result is a scent that had everything to be generic, of fresh-fruity and aromatic type, but, on the other hand, is usually surprising. The output is, in my opinion, the best part and the closest to the original fragrance. I love the way the guava blends to the herbal aspect of thyme. The most common stage of evolution is when the melon note appears, making the scent similar to that of so many other creations that have the same note (like Polo Blue, for example). So, what could have been a fresher version of Solo Loewe, turns into a typical "blue" fragrance. What saves it is the base, spicy and warm, which gives a more aromatic tone. Personally, I didn't understand the concept. I think it would have been easier if it had been made in EDT concentration and had been called Solo Loewe Fresh (or Aqua). The name would be smaller and would avoid confusion since many do not point to the fact that it is an EDC and it ends up generating some disappointments. But what matters is that pleases who knows its scent and is an excellent choice for everyday use. In this respect, it does not disappoint.

Well it is a kind of ordinary fresh masculine fragrance. i would categorize it as wood/aquatic. starts with lots of citruses and a bit of spicyness, then slowly evolves into aromatic/floral midtones. the drydown is quiet light, its like aromatic/aquatic with woodsy notes in th background, it stays close to the skin and i like the drydown to me it is smooth and calm, maybe romantic. overall not a bad fragrance. nothing's particular about the bottle. but one thing i want to tell though its Edc yet it has got good silage and longevity and projection is not that bad. it is a versatile fragrance u can wear it in any ocassion at any time. I give it 7.5 out of 10.

Very very similar to Chrome, but without the excitement of the original Chrome. Sadly, Chrome used to be my signature scent, and then it started lacking performance so profoundly... it barely would last an hour.

fragancia muito similar a chrome azzaro e ck one...mas bem elegante com fixaçao razoavel,bom para dias quentes e deixa um rastro proximo a pele,porem agradavel demais...aprovado para quem nao quer incomodar.

Fresh and ozonic. This is what I'm after for loewe brand, apart from agua de loewe el. It will be next purchase. Haven't really tested yet but I guess this would be just fine for daily use, night or day.

a cada dia que uso,++++ gosto dele,o cheiro fica nas roupas e ate fixa bem para uma colonia,é suave,a partir da 1 hora proximo a pele,mas a fragancia compensa.

Like it well enouth, not going to top my list but it's a pleasant scent. 7/10

Good longevity and sillage but too boring and plain. No surpises.

First spritzzzz - I dont know.... Little messy like not very well blended. but after hour with little sweating- oh mamma mia! What a gem! WAIT FOR IT! This is pure beauty! Believe me

WHY INTENSE? It's a softer revision of the original "Solo" but this time it's more arid with the increment of lavender. Long lasting is mediocre though!.

Smells great... Doesn't last long and sillage sucks. But it smells great, WTF. Those don't mix. Plus how is this intense from the original version? Would I buy this again...No 4.3 Oz Bottle for $38.00 "Just wished it was sold in the USA. I have to buy it from eBay, Amazon, Notino, FragranceX, FragranceNet, etc...Can't find it in a physical store. But next paycheck, if it's still there online. I will buy another bottle, just in case, it's discounted or price jump. But I do know, the longer it's out. The harder it is to find in the USA. Need an example; Remember Midnight In Paris EDP, Gucci Envy, BLV Notte or Invictus Aqua? All of those are hard as hell to find or the price is so jacked up, that it's pointless." This EDC has a slight resemblance to the original. It has notes of entry similar to the Solo by Loewe, its base notes are cooler and not so loaded with spices like the original, tending a little evocation of aquatic notes. Its base notes are less sweet than the original. It's like a mix of solo and Agua de Loewe Él. This Intense EDC is so much like setting a EDT. Its atmosphere is suitable for warm weather, perfect for nights out. Like Solo, is not recommended for teens. No power for a romantic fragrance as Solo, but can draw attention.

a good summer fragrance.... probably my next purchase... hehehe... the reason why they tag the name INTENSE here is the frag is an eau de cologne that has lasting sillage and longevity... usually, colognes only last for about 4hr with low sillage.... hence, the word INTENSE attached to the name of this LOEWE frag... it was not meant to be a heavy scent than the original...

بسیار تاسبتانی به دلیل وجود فلفل تند هست تا آخر البته کمکم ملایمتر میشه کاملا فرش هست واقعا و تو گرما با طراوت بوی مرکباتشم واضحه کامل پخش بو زیاد ، ولی دوامش با دید مثبت متوسط هست مشابهش هم عطرهای زیادی هستند

I found it slightly similar to Slate (Banana Republic), it's lighter and fresher than Solo Loewe, so why de name of Intense??

it's very good fresh fruity fragrance but i can't understand why it's intense also it's not Oriental Woody at all
