What a hidden gem , a beautiful tropical summer fragrance , much better than most

A simple fragrance with lots of tropical fruit and a whisp of musk. Easy grab. Not juvenile, not a body mist, no berries nor dark fruits but a peachy, melon, passion fruit wonder. Fabulously pleasing and very much uncomplicated. Rated Smoothie Anyone? (EDIT) whoa whoa whoa! I sprayed too much on and I got beat up by an aldehydic scent (I want to accuse Magnolia, but she has never done anything to me before). Warning - USE in moderation or your nose will have a brain freeze

Gosh there is 1 review for this? I was super interested in this one several years ago and obtained a small decant. First impression -- strong tropical fruit salad. Very fruity. Pineapple, watery passionfruit, peach, and hints of coconut (not strong) on a creamy vanilla base. ....then that blasted melon (cantaloupe/musk melon) ruins it for me. There is a sweet tuberose jasmine behind the fruits but it is background to the fruits. If it had no melon, I would have purchased.

I am on the fence about this one! It smells exactly how the rocket candies taste, but preforms like a body spray on me. I really enjoy it as a gym, grocery shopping etc fragrance.

Lorenzo Villoresi Tropicana Opens up with a tropical fruits and suntan lotion. Passionfruit is particularly strong in the top notes, lending a sharp, sour freshness. A warm, powdery musk runs in the same stream with the milky element, reminding me of a meringue or pavlova we have in Australia. This dessert is complete with the extremely sugary, sherbet-like base, sour coconut milk and drizzled with a tangy passionfruit syrup. It also leads me to think of summer smoothies and desserts, but not in an edible way. At this middle stage, I think Tropicana would be too cloying for summer because it is heavy; carrying the weight of rotten summer fruits baked in the sun, intense acidity coming from the passionfruit, and a persistent milky musk swirling with the former. And yes, all of this on your skin, not to drink or eat. Finally I can accept that Tropicana has dried down, leaving a reluctant goodbye. I would really like it to go, but it seems to enjoy me being the host. Finally the non-descript florals come out; as if to apologize for their partner's initial childish outburst. Jasmine, tuberose and magnolia are not strong characters. It must be the peachy osmanthus that has taken effect with the tropical fruits, (and i only know this because I dislike osmanthus.) I would not recommend Tropicana as a blind buy. It screams sharp and sour and it huddles around you with a coconut milk accord. I register this as sour milk! If you like fruity-tart scents you might want to give this a try. I hardly detect any flowers and I will not recommend it to any floral lovers convinced with a tropical white floral. You will get a sour fruity milkshake at best. Sillage: Moderate-Heavy Longevity: Average 4 hours

I recently bought a discovery set of the Lorenzo Villoresi Vintage Collection, and this is my first scent to try, chosen at random. Tropicana is what it says on the tin - a medley of tropical fruit in scent form. It is not my thing, being a sweet fruity gourmand, and I'm not sure that it is even an objectively good example of its genre. It reeks of synthetic fruit in the manner of toiletries marketed towards teenage girls - it reminds me of body spray/shampoo rather than the juice company with which it shares its name. Tropicana opens with peach and sweet citrus, sweetly tropical from initial spray. Some pineapple follows, becoming quite prominent. I get passionfruit too - a flavour I love. It feels a bit thin however, and is very shampoo-like here - synthetic and overly sweet with some chemical sharpness. As it develops, the creamy undertone becomes evident. Coconut, predictably, enhances the tropical theme, with sweet, smooth white florals rounding it out. It is hard to pick out individual notes here, as the florals are muted and aquatic - not as lush and creamy as I would have liked, but they complement the fruity notes nicely. Some clean musk creeps in as it dries down, with the tropical sweetness lingering until final fade. Sillage is strong and longevity is long-lasting. It is a feminine summertime scent. Tropicana remains thin throughout, never quite developing to the richness I hoped for. If the florals had been more rich and creamy, it would have elevated the fruitiness nicely, but it is ultimately disappointing. Tropical body spray, but with better performance. 2/5.

I really wanted to like this one, but sadly it’s a no for me. Seems like one of those divisive frags, I definitely get more of the synthetic side to the notes. Smells more like tropical gummy sweets than real fruits, it’s a little better in the dry down but still disappointing and wouldn’t buy a full bottle. The longevity is pretty good, but the silage goes from really good in the first hour to really close to the skin after that, so the effect is that the longevity isn’t very good. I’d agree with the other reviews saying: just get an inexpensive body spray from Bath and Body Works or the drug store and it’ll probably give you the same effect.

It's not a bad scent in any way but all i get from it is tropical in a way only bathroom cleaning supplies are. Like a freshly cleaned public bathroom

Tropicana is full of twists I didn't expect. 1. It's almost edible. A candied tropical fruit cocktail enhanced with a peach/osmanthus combo. Not drinkable; edible. The concentrated compressed flesh of dried fruits of all kinds. 2. It has actual powdery dryness to it; I first thought there's iris root there, but it's maybe the milky notes, baked coconut chips and vanilla pod. By all means, there's something counterpointing the natural juiciness of fruits; it elevates the whole composition. Lactonic and tropical fruity notes don't usually mix and it's a nice, calming feeling to sense them at the same time. There is a certain laundry angle too, like the musky milky aldehydic feel of Dent de Lait by Serge Lutens. 3. There's a floral layer of immense beauty. It's nuanced, modern, exotic as a Dusita accord, and carelessly light, regardless of the potential of the flowers involved. I like it much more than LV's Ylang Ylang which sounds really dated in comparison. Instead of taking the center stage as it easily could, this floral veil humbly makes enough space for the other notes to equally shine. It's truly a kaleidoscopic fragrance, telling several tropes at once. Really nice.

I fell in love and I was impressed. I was desperately looking for a bottle (now in 2023) and it was out of stock almost everywhere but I was lucky to finally find it. Very lovely fruity pineapple+ peach+ passionfruit combo. I don't really note coconut and I'm thankful for that (it's getting boring all these suntan lotion variations). So Tropicana is fruity shot but some creaminess coming up soon due to milk+chocolate I guess and it's so long lasting, 8-10 hours and with only 2 sprays. Enjoy it really and happy to discover this gem.

I wish this would smell more of tuberose and jasmine with a creamy touch, but all I get is a super sweet bowl of summer fruits.

Very nice tropical scent. Juicy. Maybe a bit safe, but nothing wrong with that. Enjoyable.
