Coming from the watch makers industry originally, Louis Cardin ventured into the fragrance world over 40 years ago, and in Sacred, they came up with an absolute gem of a fragrance launched back in 2011. Known for fragrances with longevity of 12-24 hours and value for money in an overpriced fragrance world, Sacred is true to form, in 100ml EDP form, it's affordable directly from their website at around £33 and even cheaper online from other fragrance shops. You can also get a Sacred deodorant and a 1.2 ml sample. The note line up is for sure a gourmand lover's dream (that would be me, then), and the promise of Vanilla, Caramel, chocolate and the inclusion of both white musk and black musk (long lasting synthetic note used for longevity and potency), plus sandalwood (A wood note from trees in the Santalum genus), and amber make this one interesting to me. I picked mine up for a ridiculously low price of just £15, and on first spray I was a little bit confused and a tad disappointed with the chemical-like aroma blast that greeted my nose. Happily that soon subsided and the magic began to happen. Sure enough, a sweet, gourmand, delicious mixture comes through and is a crowd pleaser, seductive, alluring, sensual, completely inoffensive and highly addictive. Projection is fairly modest and sillage similar, a few feet and will not choke anyone around you, but that's no bad thing as this is one to enjoy wearing just for your own pleasure, and anyone getting close enough to you will love the aromas coming from your skin. As an older man, I feel this suits my fragrance hungry flesh very well, and it instils in me happiness, an air of confidence and contentment as the gorgeous caramel and vanilla wafts in the air as I move. My wife loved it immediately which is always a bonus! Linear, yes perhaps and that is no bad thing as once it has settled, it's utterly gorgeous, but this fragrance is also intriguing. The woody notes blend very well and offer a complexity to the sweet gourmand notes, and keep up the interest factor, and I just can't stop taking in the wafts from my skin. Spray cautiously on light coloured clothes as the dark juice will stain, though on darker clothes it's fine and stays for easily twelve hours, often much longer. For the money I'd be happy if this was even half as good as it actually is, as it is, with such beauty and elegance that lasts on my skin easily ten to twelve hours, a no brainer! A beautiful fragrance that now has become a staple in my collection.

At the start it is amazingly sweet but I still kept sniffing my arm as it was very addictive. I've got many scents as most of you probably do and I just got Armaf Odyssey Mandarin Sky at the same time and put them both in the cupboard for a couple of weeks as I ran out of display space. After that time I took this out and sprayed this and the Armaf on different arms as they were sitting next to each other in the cupboard so I gave them a blast and I was very surprised as a freak selection they are very close, only the Armaf was a bit more citrus and probably more acceptable to some on opening and although the Armaf is certainly no slouch in the initial performance department, this was definitely stronger and ever so slightly more sweet. Pretty mad that I picked these two out of 200+ that they would be so similar but they were there and if you're into fragrance you know you can't use them all, all of the time and you need a reminder and also with potential maturation with most middle eastern fragrance you want to check how they turn out. This was strong from the start and I don't know where I will wear this as it is super sugary, but I love it, it is up there in sweetness with Credible Oud from the same house which is pretty much like Mugler's Alien, which is obviously female leaning but I also love and it's slightly different, and I'll keep a bottle in my inventory as long as it's available and it's amazingly cheap. Fantastic sweet offerings, fairly linear as this first hour or two goes but as it is, the Armaf and Sacred are inseparable to my nose. To ensure I didn't go nose blind I used Ibrahim Al Qurashi Dominican Tobacco on my hand as a scent breaker which is like dark tobacco ash so that assured me that I wasn't losing all of my olfactory nerves. It's a winner and cheap as chips. Amazing similarities accidentally found, at least to me with AOMS, but all good.

Amazing semi one dimensional gourmand that works wonders on its own. Has that longevity and that caramel note is probably the star and is holding the whole composition together in terms of my nose. For this price range I think you can’t go wrong with this at all.this is a fragrance that’s been gatekept for a very long time and it’s probably gonna stay that way I’m sure lol. I personally would layer this fragrance realistically speaking rather than wearing it on its own. I think this would smell good with kismet for men or Bentley man intense. Louis Cardin should really focus on a new range of gourmands because they’ve mastered this very easily. My no.1 blind buy, cheapie find, compliment getter and most highly recommended fragrance, what more can I add? I watched a few reviews of this scent on YouTube but it was Chris at the Frag Mental channel that sold it to me with his passionate support for this amazing perfume. Sacred isn't overly gourmand in my opinion. It is slightly less sweet then a typical gourmand fragrance and has a poppy zing which I love and that keeps a freshness to the scent deep into the dry down on this. As others on here have eluded to, this may be the black musk but its almost a minty zing and could be geranium in my opinion. This lasts on my skin 11+ hours and it's eternal on clothing. Fantastic scent trail and it projects beyond 6ft for a good few hours. All being said, this is a slightly feminine leaning unisex fragrance that I love wearing as a man. I find I can wear it most of the year especially as we only get a few days of hot weather each year here in the UK! So avoid the extreme heat and it's very wearable. I highly recommend but at same time I don't want too many people to know about this affordable gem 😁

This smells exactly like a rich, confident girl boss, total baddie vibes. Just a heads-up: it can stain your clothes, so I don't recommend spraying it directly onto your garments (though you can wash it out if it happens). This is literally my signature scent and such a massive compliment-getter! It might not be for every girl, but every baddie would love it. It doesn't really work for hot, summery weather, but it's perfect for nighttime or when you're chilling in a full-blast AC room, lol. It's also amazing for meetings and gatherings because it just radiates confidence. I’m already on my third bottle, so you know it's good. While it might not be everyone's absolute favorite, it is 100% worth the money. One thing to watch out for: there are a lot of fakes out there, and it can be hard to tell them apart. Your best bet is to check the color of the liquid and the actual scent—that’s how you'll know it’s the real deal.

"in your face" honey-like sweet opening, brought me diabetic bomb upfront. Pleasant and joyful yet appetizing, I'm craving dessert while sniffing at it. Strong woody note started to surface afterward, kinda smell like eucalyptus and resin like. Completely out of topic but I'm imagining a glass of cold root-beer with vanilla ice cream and caramel topping sprinkled with pepper x clove powder. Longevity: 19 hours on my T-shirt and counting. I thought I got a fake since the silver stripes of the bottle peeling off so easily(yes bottle's quality is quite questioning). Very good deal on the price, I bought 2 bottles instead of 1, I love sniffing the residual smell on the sprayer, gives me nosegasm.

Well...what can I say?! It is beautiful...after watching lots of reviews on YouTube and seeing it was a gourmand fragrance which reviewers said would be perfectly unisex....I've finally bit the bullet and bought a bottle. It is a beautiful deep, boozy, ambery, vanillic chocolate fragrance and not in a sickening sense at all! I also get a polite, smooth oud smell. Definitely get the oriental vibe! This is going to be amazing in the cooler months, so tempted to get a back up bottle! I'd also like to say how fantastic the customer service is! They reply rapidly to messages and go above and beyond to help and assist you.

wonderful dark chocolate and caramel perfume. The opening is a spicy chocolate, with the hint of caramel and vanilla right from the start, and then the spiciness and caramel disappear, leaving the yummy chocolate as the diva throughout the lifespan of the fragrance, with vanilla and sandalwood as background singers. This is a potent juice, very delicious, and stays a long time. It easily reaches 10 hours with strong to moderate silage. I can see this kind of scent is released as the flanker of A*Men from Mugler. A worthy blind buy.

This is a delicous and long lasting scent. I can smell it 12+ later, projects for four plus hours on my skin. It's predominantly chocolatey, but has other notes to round it out. Better about 15 minutes in as the opening is slightly sharper than the next 11 hours. Genuinely unisex but pretty sweet, so that has to be your thing It's a little on the high end for a cheapie, but you don't need to overspray as it's strong stuff. I love it! I'll keep it on my regular rotation for nights out with Spice Bomb Extreme.

A bit powdery and very sweet, although I can't tell what it actually smells of. Probably caramel and vanilla with some baby powder weirdness. I don't get chocolate, more like some type of cake or dessert, but it also doesn't smell like that completely. It's a hard to describe, a bit strange and unique gourmand scent, but very good. It is unisex, maybe leans a bit feminine. I have received compliments with it. Great cheapie. 8.5/10

Hidden Gem Alert A great value and compliment for the Money ! Sweet beautiful vanilla, smoke, dry chocolate and black amber with a white musk ! It is a fragrance with that yin and yang effect. a 7 to 9 hour fragrance wit good projection and great sillage. I really do love this one for 40 or 50 dollars usd. Compare to Armani stronger with you - if you don't want to special order this through ebay or instigram

I ordered a full bottle after testing a sample of this beauty 😍😍😍 Oh,dear! I love its sweet beginning and then it turns into a different perfume... Thick like honey, warm and dark from the choco touch... The persistance is beyond this world and the sillage is huge Besides this, I find it completely rounded and chic, not offensive or rough at all Just LOVE it

Amazing fragrance! This is a beautiful fragrance that is a compliment beast. Every time I wear it at work, people ask why does it smell like brownies or chocolate and vanilla. I say “that is me lol” it for sure brings a warming feeling with it on. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a really nice gourmand fragrance.

Just bought 2 bottles of this scent. I love, love love the sweetness! On me, opening note is the vanilla, then comes the caramel and hint of dark chocolate, after that comes the powdery scent. Be careful not to spray on white clothing as it leaves light pinkish stain.

this fragrance is a beast mode in terms of longevity. it beats almost every single fragrance in my whole collection that is 5x more expensive than this. A heavy vanilla scent with middle eastern twist. great value for the price of ($20-$25) totally worth it.

It is definitely worth it. But never wear it in summer. Got so many compliments for this perfume. Might feel a bit heavy to your nose but it's not. Give it a lil bit time. It's soooo amazing. My go-to winter perfume.

I absolutely love this fragrance! It is very sweet, cozy and gourmand. Smells like a woody powdery caramel with hint of chocolate. The longetivity is also great. For a cheap price like this i would definitly rebuy.

You will either love this or hate it. Very unique. Not blind buy safe. Fortunately I love it once I am over the first 3 minutes. Great longlivity and excellent value for your buck. Recommend

MMM Yummy! This one's a linear gourmand long lasting scent. Pretty straight forward and the notes above are pretty accurate. Does what it's supposed to do perfectly. I love it.
