Afternoon Swim

FOUR I discovered Afternoon Swim this summer with a free 1 ml decant in a sampler. I have been skeptical of LV since Imagination is pretty mid for me, so I would not have tried this otherwise. This scent kicks. It is refreshingly simple. Not 40 notes like Mandarino di Amalfi. It is joyful, fun, and summery. It ended up being my second most worn summer scent after Dior Homme Cologne. I went through 1 ml, 5 ml, then most of a 10 ml. The vibe is youthful leisure. Picture a good-looking 24-year-old, rich, lounging at a hotel pool that overlooks the ocean. White Lotus energy. It is a leisure scent. Unless you are an actual rich pool boy, wear it when it is plausible you are coming from boating, the beach, or tennis. Wearing it will remind you of hanging out by the pool on hot summer days as a kid, and that’s a good thing. TL;DR The greatest leisure fragrance I have smelled. Starts with a vibrant, joyful orange that steals the show. The opening rides for about two hours, and it welcomes frequent reapplication without offending anyone. The dry down is fine, but the opening is why we are here. Opening rating: 4.6 Dry down rating: 4.1 Opening It is orange. Just orange. Likely some bergamot hiding in there. It reads like fresh orange juice. It makes you happy and projects for about an hour. Apply right before you plan to be smelled. Carry a decant and reapply if needed. If you have never tried this, get a decant. Every enthusiast should experience the opening at least once. Heart At about 1 to 2 hours, most of the projecting orange is gone. On a close sniff you get a very dry ginger as a skin scent. Not the spicy ginger of Tygar, more a subdued ginger that stretches the citrus. Ambroxan starts to show here too. I am somewhat anosmic to ambroxan, so I mostly get a soft salty feel. Dry down By 4 to 7 hours the scent is essentially gone. The ginger fades and leaves a salty skin tone. Pro tip: spray the hairline for little flashbacks of orange late in the dry down. Performance on me Performance swings with heat and humidity. On a hot, humid day it is gone fast. Either way, it is low performance, but projects well at first. Expect up to 90 minutes of fading projection and 4 to 7 hours total as a skin scent. That is still a bit better than Dior Homme Cologne (My summertime GOAT) on me. Overspray at will, or better yet carry a decant and reapply. It is not cheap. Four sprays work for most situations, but you could go four sprays three or four times in a day. At that pace it is about four dollars a day. Versatility Wear it for leisure, ideally the expensive kind. It shines for fun, casual settings. Feels wrong in formal or office environments. Not for board meetings. Perfect for fishing, sideline soccer parent, or a sunny leisure drive. Use cases Wear any time you could believably be arriving from the beach. Lunch with friends works. If you are coming straight from an office, it does not totally fit. Use it to underline that you just had fun. Vibe Fun in a bottle. Instant summer. Pool-day nostalgia. Blind buy safe? Yes, if you accept it is expensive and performance is mode Comparisons Dior Homme Cologne: DHC gives colder efervecent lemonade. Afternoon Swim gives juicy sweet orange peel and pulp, sunnier and sweeter up top, simpler in the base, with more initial pop in its projection. Tom Ford Neroli Portofino: NP is soapy neroli with a floral-citrus blend and a polished soapy heart. Plenty of orange, but woven into florals. Afternoon Swim is photorealistic orange with a ginger lift, less floral and more playful. Chanel Allure Homme Sport Cologne: On paper it is soft orange plus aldehydic sparkle over a clean musky base. In practice it is not that similar. The orange is softer and less joyful, and the neroli reads floral. Afternoon Swim is brighter and juicier, with less soap, a quicker fade, and no woods in the base. Tom Ford Mandarino di Amalfi: MdA gives layered citrus and herbs with basil and mint shimmer. More complex and aromatic. Both have great citrus up front, but Afternoon Swim is straight orange joy, leaner, louder at the start, lighter after an hour. Bvlgari Tygar: Tygar is grapefruit amberwood pop with a spicy ginger buzz and bigger projection. Afternoon Swim is sweet orange and salty skin, friendlier and less sharp, with smaller sillage. Tygar is cool evening citrus for a networking event. Afternoon Swim is your beach day. Overall take Afternoon Swim is joy in a bottle. A perfect orange blast that invites frequent top ups and pays you back with smiles. Built for leisure, sunshine, and movement, not boardrooms. Keep a decant, spray before you arrive, touch the hairline for surprise wafts, and enjoy the ride. Expensive for the hours, worth it for the mood. A keeper for hot days and anything that feels like vacation.

I say with my absolute fullest confidence and having been regularly wearing and collecting fragrances for 20 years now that this is the greatest orange dominant citrus fragrance ever created. Starting off this review by saying Belletrud’s favorite note to work with in fragrance is orange, he has said so himself. It only makes sense he knows his way around it perfectly and this fragrance is blatant proof of such. I’ll also say I get quite good performance from Afternoon Swim which seems to be the opposite of what most people experience, I’ll explain more about that later.. Starting off with initial sprays blasting into the air and deeply penetrating your nostrils you are met with one of the most photorealistic orange smells you’ve probably ever smelt. This is a very realistic slightly sweet and rindy orange. Think cutting the whole ripe orange in half and squeezing it to death.. Amongst the beautiful and captivating orange your olfactory will also be met with a very bold and piercing bergamot note and interwoven with that you’ll catch traces of a subtle ginger blended perfectly in with all of the citrons. At the base and the absolute main back bone of this fragrance is the amazing quality ambergris. In my opinion some of the best ambergris ever used in a fragrance in how it envelops everything and ultimately sends off this fragrance. The best way I can describe it is your warm skin slowly drying off in the sunlight after coming out of a swimming pool. Not necessarily chlorine like either, just slightly airy yet warm and nearly aquatic like. As I mentioned earlier about my performance with Afternoon Swim I do in fact get good lasting power with it, even smelling it the next day on clothing. In fact my wife has complimented me smelling good the next morning after wearing it the evening/night before. I will say it’s not that bright photorealistic orange still holding on, that would be next to impossible giving it being citrus. What it is though holding on tight is that gorgeous ambergris.. It really holds on for me and continues to do its work. I would fair to say maybe Afternoon Swim is lasting longer on people than they really think but due to the high amount of ambergris in it people are suffering from olfactory anosmia. Regardless this fragrance is one of my all time favorites and always will be, expertly crafted from beginning to end and the name couldn’t suit it any better if it tried.

I wish I didn't smell this because its SO GOOD and now I'm itching to drop the big bucks on this bad boy I went into my local LV store and this one wasn't even on my radar because I heard the performance is abysmal That being said, I sprayed and sniffed every fragrance they had on hand and this one stuck out over everything else, so I did what any reasonable person would do, I sprayed it twice on my hand and have been wearing it all day ever since While this is a 'review' - its more of a first impressions which I'm sure will evolve over time but I have added it to my "Buy" list for when I accomplish a few more things and decide to treat myself In terms of scent profile, this is definitely a photo-realistic orange smell. That description never captivated me until I actually smelled it. There is something oddly comforting and soothing about this. It screams summer but also hits a nostalgic part of me - I'm not sure if its the image of my grandmother (RIP) peeling and eating an orange beside me, or if I've smelled something similar growing up as my mind does picture the mall for some reason. Performance is not as bad as folks say - I sprayed both this and Imagination on each hand, and they are both roughly at the same point in their cycle (4 hours later). Imagination is a touch stronger (as a skin scent) but Afternoon Swim isn't too far off. The point of the dry down I'm at does have a bit more of a "sour" smell to it, like the rind of an orange after its sat for a bit of time after peeling. Now while I love this, I will admit - my fiance (34, F) said that it "smells like sweat" - which is something I am not picking up on at all. Apparently this is a common thing for some people with Ambergris, but I've thoroughly enjoyed this one. Definitely a summer scent but arguably my favourite from the LV line up. I plan to pick up a decant soon to do a more thorough wearing analysis and evaluate performance but probably one of the few I smelled at the LV Store that seemed worthy of a purchase from me. When I first held the bottle, I truly needed the deep coolness promised by that vibrant blue glass. Afternoon Swim is one of those rare creations that lives up to its name with the very first spritz. It feels exactly like getting up from a shadowless lounger in the July heat and plunging into an ice-cold pool... The opening is simply magnificent. You are met with a sharp, non-synthetic blast of juicy Sicilian orange and bergamot that feels freshly plucked from the branch. Jacques Cavallier is a true master at crafting citrus notes; the citrus here never resembles a standard cologne or a cleaning product. It is incredibly natural, bright, and luxurious. It has a structure that instantly lifts your mood and puts a smile on your face. In fact, the real magic of this fragrance is hidden in those first 15 minutes. However, keeping things completely unbiased, this dream is unfortunately a bit short-lived. As much as I adore the natural beauty of the scent, its lifespan on my skin left me disappointed. After the first hour, that magnificent energy sits very close to the skin, and by the third or fourth hour, all that remains is a very faint whisper of salty mandarin. Looking at the Louis Vuitton label and the price tag, you can't help but think, "I wish this incredible feeling stayed with me just a little longer." As a refreshing summer fragrance, the scent profile is an absolute success, but it will let down those seeking heavy performance. If you are the type to say, "It is worth it just for the joy and freshness of those first 1-2 hours, I don't mind reapplying it from my bag during the day," then this could be the star of your summer rotation. This is one of the best citrus scents I have ever tried. It doesn't get muddied by neroli/petitgrain or the common use of heavy, woody or musky fixatives to extend the longevity and become a wood scent after a few hours...because it never makes it that far. Even the use of Ambroxan in this is very light when compared to Imagination or Pacific Chill which becomes the main scent during the second half anyways. For the hour or so Afternoon Swim does last, it is heaven for a citrus lover. This is purely a hedonistic fragrance you use on a hot day, especially after a shower or its namesake to enjoy for yourself. It's what you put on because you have 3 hours to kill before going out to nice dinner when you put on the heavy hitter for the rest of the night. It's the halftime show when you want to smell something but little too early in the day for an evening fragrance. It's not there to impress others, it's not there to get compliments, it's not there to get you a date. This is a "Treat yo self" scent so everyone looking for a perfume thinking it's going to get you laid, look elsewhere. As someone that uses their sense of smell professionally in everyday work, this smells as natural and photorealistic as it comes in the fragrance world, everyone else stating that it smells like cleaning spray/pledge/bug repellent has a broken sniffer and anything else they say can be safely ignored. At $350+tax, it is absurdly overpriced for the longevity and simplicity and not something anyone should be buying. That said, I own a 100ml bottle and will refill it when its done and will do so until it gets discontinued.

First I will say I love citrus, and have tried literally hundreds of them over the years. This has what I believe to be, the best citrus opening to date. Second, I did not appreciate this much from a sample. It just was not enough perfume for me to really experience it. It wasn't until I put on 8 sprays on a hot Texas day (at the boutique) that it really clicked for me. The citruses here light up the pleasure sensors in my brain like a drug. This contains unlisted aldeydes and maybe some other ingredients that make it sparkle and explode like fireworks on my skin. 🎇 Pure Heaven. I got a bottle and have been wearing it heavily recently. I had someone compliment my cologne after about 5 or 6 hours, so longevity isn't as bad as I thought, and certainly better than some hot weather fragrances I use like Creed Millisme Imperial, Acqua Di Parma Bergamotto Di Calabria, Guerlain Bergamotto (not bad), 19-69 Capri, Floris Limes, Commodity Bergamot, and others. Lastly, this doesn't smell synthetic. I can sense something like candy and ISO E if I put my nose directly on my skin. The drydown reminds me a bit of Millisme Imperial (which I love) but more tart, and slightly sweeter. If I'm playing armchair perfumer, I wish it was a tad more salty and and maybe add a little vetiver or musk for my personal taste. But I'm not a perfumer, so for all I know, that would throw off the heavenly citrus notes. Afternoon Swim will now be a summer staple for me. Scent 9.8/10 Performance 5/10 P.S. This has the best atomizer ever made.

Picked up Afternoon swim yesterday, 380 USD later... it smells amazing but man this is overpriced. Look this is the easiest frag to like. A realistic orange peal, mandarin orange, super citricy and aquatic, its sweet and the perfect frag to wear to summer events, casual wear, daily wear, even to the gym, but this stuff is overpriced as hell. This is a luxury perfume if you have money to blow. THIS IS NOT AN ESSENTIAL TO A COLLECTION. They've increased their price of their bottles recently and they don't seem to slow down anytime soon. This is an amazing frag but its feels over priced simply because this does not last. it gives you 1-2 hours worth of decent projection, and falls off a steep hill after 3 hours to a skin scent, im sure if i let it sit for a little bit longer the longevity will stretch out a little bit longer. Its great enough to buy off of scent alone and LV knows that, its unfortunate they cant make this last longer to be worth this price but they're taking advantage of the fact that the smell of this isnt replicable, its heavenly, its a refreshing orange juice you drink when your in heaven, but its scummy they cant make this a heavier frag bc they what they have and want more people to buy their refills. 10/10 scent 3/10 longevity 2/10 price Overall 6.5/10

This is not a complicated fragrance, and I don't know why a quality fragrance needs to have a ton of ingredients or to be extremely loud in order to justify anything really. I guess perception is everything, it's how we allow ourselves to experience the art that is perfumery. What this is, is a photorealistic mandarin accord that feels fresh and extremely well made. Summer that is captured in a bottle. However, this is a lot more, Afternoon Swim captures the moment while inside Cavo Tagoo room's infinite pool in Mykonos. It's late in the afternoon in August where the lights of the island are slowly fade into the sea, and you just realized that you have experienced this magical moment with your partner, a sense of overwhelming beauty. In that pool, both wearing Afternoon Swim and you are blessed enough to be there in the moment, perfectly conscious, not able to say a word! This fragrance is an ode to the Magic of the moment that cannot be described, this is what Afternoon Swim feels like and this is how it works! Do not underestimate the elegant beauty of simplicity and of the right timing.

To give a car analogy, Afternoon Swim is like an expensive Italian sports car. It's not practical, it's expensive, it has no cargo space and it gets terrible gas mileage. But, it's beautiful, exhilarating, and a blast to drive while it lasts. Everyone (especially in the US) is obsessed with performance. Gasoline lasts a long time and so does turpentine, but I'm more about the scent. You need to spray a lot and frequently (every couple hours in the heat) to really enjoy and appreciate what this is. The guy below @ibusy bob gets it. This is the halftime show..If you're a broke college kid, don't buy this fragrance. If you're an adult with a few bucks in your pocket and want one of the best pure citruses around, you get this. If you want to drive a sports car, you're going to have to pay the premium. Don't buy the Ferrari (of pure citrus) if you can't afford the payments and repairs. The house of LV is overrated IMO, I've tried almost every single one of them. This fragrance is a bit of a tragic story—not because it lacks quality, but because what you’re getting is genuinely beautiful... and then it’s gone almost as quickly as it arrived. On my skin, the magic lasts roughly 30 minutes before it fades into the background. As for the scent itself, it’s absolutely gorgeous for summer days, beach trips, or anything under the sun. The opening is a vibrant burst of juicy mandarin orange with just a subtle touch of ginger lingering in the background. The best way I can describe it? It smells like a fresh glass of orange juice—bright, refreshing, and effortlessly enjoyable. It doesn’t try to be overly complex, and honestly, it doesn’t need to. It simply works. Based on scent alone, I’d give it an 8.5/10. But when you factor in the performance and the price point, that score drops significantly to around a 3/10. If you love the scent profile but want something that captures it almost perfectly with better value, take a look at Citadel Fragrances.

Done before but still gorgeous for what it is. I'm surprised no comments or reviews state the similarities between Afternoon Swim and Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine. I'm guessing not many have tried the latter? Anyway, I like this better. It's more "immersive". While still mostly linear, it doesn't really fall apart to nothingness in the drydown like Orange Sanguine does. This is as realistic as it gets as far as orange accords go. It's striking and addicting mainly due to how natural it smells. But what I really like about it is the way it summons the "sun-drenched salty & sweet" skin smell on a hot summer day right after a dip in the pool. It has that "humid" factor that carries the orange accord and transports the wearer to indeed an Afternoon Swim. It's brilliant in that regard. As an avid swimmer and a summer child myself, ironically, this is indeed a scent I would actually spray before hitting the pool. Checks the name to the T. I love it!

This stuff is bloody amazing. I bought a parital 200ml and sprayed it on, amazing. But thirty minutes late, gone. Sure that was one spray, nothing major. So the next day I wore it, and my friend said he couldn't smell it 2 hours later. I love the scent but I really cannot own a fragrance so expensive yet last barely anything on me, so I traded it. I really wish it could work with my body chemistry, however it didn't. Off track, but I gave up the 70/200ml full afternoon swim and in return I got a 30/30 city rhythm manhattan midnight, 43/50 pink boa, 90/100 by the fireplace and a 48/50 stronger with you intensely. I personally think I got the win, I would get so much usage out of the 4 instead of this one fragrance. Anyways, this fragrance smells like the most photo-realistic orange ever. Watery orange. All it is, so simple yet done so beautifully. Off of scent alone: 10/10 Accounting longevity and everything: 7/10 I really wish this lasted on me!

Baaalllright, this is a review i have waited a LONG time to write, mostly because I am at a loss for words. This fragrance has got to be one of my favorite orange citrusy fragrances, it's so simple, but it's done to perfection. It starts out with this slightly airy sweetness that is reminiscent to orange candies, and the dry down is just that, but way more vibrant! This fragrance peaks with a very summer friendly (all occasional in my opinion) sweetness, that is ADDICTIVE as hell. But this fragrance has been on my wishlist for a long ass time, and i bought it in the start of November (and as of writing this the 10th of December 2025) I have made a crazy dent in it (which is mostly because of its lacking projection and longevity) But fragrances aren't about projection and longevity, and Afternoon Swim embodies that. This is a 12/10 in my books, and I love just wearing it on my hand, just for the scent experience.

The guy below me who apparently thinks he's the dictator of what people can't and cannot wear should stfu. Here's a real review: Afternoon Swim is a gorgeous fresh orange/mandarin fragrance with a spritz of citrus. It's very cool and refreshing and it really feels like you just hopped out the pool after a swim in italy. While very simple and linear the scent is just beautiful. Everytime I take a whiff I just feel a little happier. The only shame is the performance. Personally i get a max of 3-4 hours. But I enjoy every single minute of it. If you really love this fragrance and are a certified trustfund baby. Pro tip. Fill up a 10ml decant and bring it with you so you can reapply and freshen up. But it's understandably not worth it for some people. Try a sample out before buying the 200 ml. Why a 200ml? Cause you gon need it.

LV should've excluded the bergamot and ramped up the watery notes imo. Hence, when oversprayed, it'd smell like you'd have an aura of water around you with a delicious piercing zing of mandarin orange amongst that. The sensation of smelling like you're basically underwater is so appealing. What I'm basically describing is the 2024 formulation of Bujairami Perfect Life. The current Bujairami formulation is almost the same but seems to have lost the piercing zingyness of the mandarin orange. I don't mean to be offensive, but the 2024 Perfect Life formulation was clearly superior to Afternoon Swim scent-wise. Maybe LV would consider a flanker to Afternoon Swim with what I've mentioned - essentially a clone of a clone of its former self? Haha. Just FYI, I have zero affiliation with Bujairami or any other brands.

its THE summer scent. It like you're sitting by the pool on a sunny summer day with a drink in hand. i bought a 10ml Decant to see if im willing to commit and how fast i go through 10ml. legit just fresh realistic citrus and musk. its so simple but beautifully done, but the Achillies heel is the longevity. For the current price of 360 bucks its extremely hard to justify with the performance on it. that being said, the actual scent still has me wanting to buy a bottle and just commit to having to reapply 3 to 4 times through a full day and night. if i spray 5 sprays first thing in the morning before work at 7AM it is a skin scent by 10AM which is so disappointing but given that its just citrus, its kind of to be expected. the dry down is nice but the opening is the star of the show.

I got a sample for this and to get to the point, the opening blew me away. I have no idea how to describe it other than fizzy and juicy. I don't even know how! It reminds me of lemon and orange medley, cut open down the middle as a saltwater breeze brushes though, the palm trees bustling above as the sounds of waves crash. I know this is a bit dramatic, but I hardly knew what was in this besides orange as a note, but getting my first ever whiff of this after a particularly busy and stressful day at work, it was like a snapshot of a refreshing yet carefree beach vacation. Instantly felt my mood perk up. I cannot stop smelling myself. Wow. Too bad it costs and arm and a leg.

Second review from initial review back in 03/2026 This is officially my favorite orange Perfume of all time. It literally screams summer and spring fragrance. Most people’s main complaint on this Perfume is the longevity, but still I get great longevity from anywhere north of three hours to five hours and I live in Florida. Any type of mandarin or orange scented Perfume should be compared to this as this is the gold standard for it. Any type of sunny situation you can think of, that is this Perfume. This is neck and neck with afternoon swim and symphony for me. A top five fragrance of mine for all time, I only like creed absolute more as it’s my signature

I went to the LV store trying out different fragrances. Of the copious amounts that I’ve added to my wish list, afternoon swim took priority so I bought it. I was worried about projection and performance with reviews, however, I have to be an outlier. For the first 3 to 4 hours of appliance it projects fairly well within 6 feet and nose blindness was not of concern. People definitely caught a whiff of the smell as I walked by three hours later. By hour four and five, it became a skin scent. I want to test this out in high heat and when I go to the gym, but so far it has exceptional performance for a summer fragrance.

Summer in a bottle. As best as I can describe this. Smells like the purest orange citrus ever, almost nothing comes close to this at all. This could be the greatest summer fragrance of all time alongside Pacific Chill and maybe Greenley. Performance is moderate but the scent makes up for this. Afternoon swim genuinely makes you happy when you smell it, the orange and mandarin is just so realistic, it uplifts your mood. Wear this to the beach looking to tan in the sun, or while wearing linen shirts, loafers or even a goyard cardholder, this fragrance does everything summer. Definition of a rich man's summer signature.

Day 2 wearing afternoon swim. It's my new signature scent. I'm ordering a full bottle. A previous comment said you'll sacrifice quality for longevity if you go for the dupes. Exactly. The complaints of this masterpiece not lasting in comparison to others is true, but it's like saying you don't want to listen to pneuma by tool live because it's only 11 minutes. Jacques made something special here, it has an aetheric quality that I think can't be made this this fantastic otherwise. I'm not rich, I work like most people, but it's how you regard yourself that matters, and i refuse to adorn myself in mediocrity.

just got this fragrance after having a little tester of it for a while, one of the best citrus fragrances for the summer for sure, it feels like a relaxing summer day where you know you don't have to do anything, smell is also interesting, it opens up with a very clear sweet orange, i'd say that the image on LV's website of the cut open orange does it justice, it smells like that, a super high quality, juicy sweet orange, that gets tied together with ambergris to smell more like water and aquatic, absolutely fantastic, performance varies from person to person, i get around 3/4h or longevity on my skin.

I just got my bottle in last night and I really haven't worn it other than some test sprays on my arm. Let me tell you this stuff is amazingly juicy and fresh. Take the most beautiful orange you can find peel some skin off fold it in half squeeze it and then put that skin back up to your nose. That's the kind of intoxicating sweet freshness that you'll be getting with this fragrance. I'll be wearing it in a few days to see hoe it performs. Update coming soon. I also own the Jean Lowe Azure that smells shockingly close to this LV but the Jean Lowe just doesn't last very long on my skin.

When you blind buy a fragrance, it can be a swing and a miss. That’s part of the excitement. But Afternoon Swim was one of those times where I knocked it out of the park! This is the freshest citrus I’ve ever put my nose to, and it doesn’t smell cheap in any way. It may be simple, but the quality found here just can’t be replicated. Performance is pretty solid too! I was expecting something very enjoyable, but overpriced. But honestly I have no regrets picking this up at retail. I think the price is perfect; it just means no one else will be wearing this, muahahaha 10/10 Stunning! 😍😍

It is like mandarin-orange juice with a small amount of ginger. Simple, very refreshing, smells awesome. Projection and performance are not the best. Its like dior homme cologne in a way. Instead of a plain cold lemonade, you get a cold mandarin-orange juice in a fancier bottler with cocktail sticks and stuff like that. As my DHC bottle is almost finished and I got bored of it I think this can fill its role in my collection as a hot weather refresher that smells amazing and simple. Too bad its crazy expensive for what it is. There is no way this should cost as much as Imagination.

Wonderful, wonderful fragrance. Gives off a crisp, enticing, sunny citrus, as though you were on the beach in Bora Bora with a mojito and the weather never strays from partly cloudy with a gentle, warm breeze. Almost as if it were made for a pool party, or perhaps more pointedly, for an Afternoon Swim. Cons: sillage is arm's length, longevity is awful, price is laughably expensive, and the atomizer has a tendency to break, though the LV store will fix it if you choose to refill your bottle (as I've done three times now!)

Possibly the best citrus fragrance, it smells like the best orange you can possibly have with some aquatic feeling in the background, it's not exactly aquatic but more like citrusy orange juice. The bergamot and ginger support the orangey smell to perfect it. The citruses in this are truly high quality, not sharp at all and unlike anything I've smelled in any other fragrance. 10/10 citrusy scent. Longevity and projection are slightly below average but who cares, just carry a small decant bottle and respray.

This is probably the only fragrance in existence that I’d pay full price for. I seriously can’t get this one out of my head. It’s one of the most joyous and captivating things you’ll ever smell out of a bottle. The 6-7 hour journey starts with top notes of neon orange citrus rock candy and settles back to natural pool waters you’d smell on Del Mar rooftops. You know how a scent can bring you back to a certain point in time with a certain person? This scent is what I want people to remember me by. Masterful.

I'm definitely a sucker for LV colognes as it's my favorite brand. I believe that pretty much most of the fragrances are good but "Afternoon Swim" really hits a level that I had never really seen before. It has a very bright, sharp punch-you-in-the-face citrus kind of opening and that just stays for the entire longevity of the scent. The only thing I wish is that it doesn't last that long. However it is extremely refreshing and great for summer days especially where I live where it's over 100 degrees

This is a fragrance that I've picked up recently and I personally believe that it is the best smelling fragrance of all time. Yes the longevity isn't amazing, but honestly I don't find myself doing anything for longer than 4 - 5 hours and you can easily reapply. You've heard about this fragrance a lot for good reason. The price point is outrageous, but this is easily my favorite fragrance in my collection and I will be repurchasing/refilling this bottle 1000000 times over.

the scent profile is incredible, yes - it smells like a juicy, hyper-realistic burst of fresh orange. that being said, the performance is abysmal. projects for less than 30min on my skin. it will remain as a skin scent for maybe 2 or so hours, but nobody is going to smell this on you 2 hours in unless they're basically on top of you. don't recommend unless you're ok with spending $350 on a fragrance that you're going to get 20 minutes of projection from

I absolutely love this scent, it's a summer must have. It's so bright, uplifting and refreshing in summer 🌊🍊 But the longevity so terrible I had to go for s dupe. So yep, the original bottle is nicely displayed on the shelf, buy I use the inspired version on the daily basis. Out of dupes I tried for Afternoon Swim, the version from Viral Pafums - Swim is the winner. Nice bottle, decent longevity because it is an extrait 👌And identical scent.

Ok, anyone with the ability to smell, knows this smells fantastic. It’s a beautiful summer scent, that brings you a bit of joy in the heat of summer. The “problems” are it’s a bit linear, doesn’t project very well and doesn’t last very long, and it’s a bit expensive. I know I haven’t said anything you don’t already know. I am glad that I have it, but I probably wouldn’t replace it either, there are more exiting options Overall 8.3/10.

Gonna keep this short and simple. amazing scent for the summer. probably the best smelling summer fragrance out there however the performance is absolutely abysmal which i can not get behind when a fragrance costs $375. luckily i acquired this via trade but i would never pay what this costs retail, im still on the fence wether i will pay the $250ish to refill it. that said i do love this fragrance , just wish it performed better.

Off scent alone 10/10, nothing new to report. Performance 2/10, 2-3 hours max, and 4 on clothing. It's a damn travesty! I got a 10ml in a trade and use it mostly to layer on top of some citrus scents. I recently wore it on top of Vibrato during a trip to the Brohamas, which was magic! If your looking for this vibe but want something that lasts, check out Pana Dora Aqua De Dora. It's 75% Afternoon swim, 25% Tygar/Goat ginger DNA.

To me, that's the best LV summer fragrance, a 10/10. This is basically a strong mandarin and orange scent, pretty linear. It smells like a summer vacation at the beach or a nice coastal resort, so it's not signature-worthy. I wore this in 40o Celsius heat and it held up perfectly. Great longevity (~7hs) and projection (~2hs) on my skin. It's overpriced, but I would buy a full bottle if money wasn't that tight.

It smells so good, smells like orange gum, orange candy or orange vitamin C pills but so good. It feels like putting vitamin C pills in your mouth and bite it. In terms of scent i just love it 10/10. The downside is if you got nose blind with it you literally can’t smell it at all. I’m using it for 10 days straight I got nose blind so it just gone after 30min. Usually it lasts 3-4H. Overall 8/10

high quality photo realistic mandarin, the name says it all a fragrance you would wear going to the beach, does the job, no it’s not going to last you from 6 am to 6pm but it’s not an office scent, if you need it to last just carry a travel decant, afternoon swim is a great fragrance but the price point makes it not worth it in my opinion even though it’s a great fragrance, 350$ for a freshie..

Louis Vuitton Afternoon Swim opens with a uniquely vibrant orange note and later evolves into a fresh, seaside-like feeling on the skin. That’s why I find it both interesting and very beautiful. It performs especially well in warm weather, giving off a very clean and energetic aura. While the longevity isn’t extremely strong, the overall feeling and quality it delivers are truly high-end.

Fizzy orange and ginger but in a really natural smelling way. It is very unisex but may lean masculine. It is sophisticated without being overbearing; it is uplifting and a joyful scent. Afternoon swim can be worn the best in summer/hot weather. It carries the ginger like bvlgari tygar which is done perfectly. I completely understand the hype and it's definitely the best out the line!!

I love this fragrance. I bought a decant 3 weeks ago. Finished it up and bought a bottle. I got 2 compliments at the grocery store and then my friend wore it to try out and got compliments at Starbucks. Great summer citrus scent. The price is high but the scent makes me happy so it was worth it. Longevity on my sample was long but the new bottle needs to age for a couple of months.

Simple and could be argued it is "overpriced". But for those that love LV. This in my opinion is the best citrus there is. Orange bomb with the signature LV musk in there. Just quality stuff. Wish longevity were better of course, but what are you gonna do. If you have the money to buy it, just know you should be re applying every 2 hours, which is a treat in and of itself.

I'n in love with this scent. The profile is so very good blended and it has very-very high quality ingredients. Yes, there are many citrus fragrance out there but this one has a top quality. I feel it in every spray. A must have unisex perfume, a little bit to the masculine side. Longevity and sillage is averageon me, 3-4 hours. It is ok from a citrus fragrance.

Bit the bullet and went to the actual store to buy it Louis Vuitton store thst is. Paid 380 for it. Smells good dont get me wrong. Just knock the price to at most 200$. And it will be somewhat a okay price... this doesnt have the lasting power nor the projection power after at least 10 sprays in 30°f-65°f conditions outside and inside work.

Scent wise, this is the best out of the entire LV lineup. Purchased a 100ml. So far getting around 4 hours of longevity from my bottle which isn’t terrible but I will likely carry a decant around to reapply as needed. The scent is truly incredible. It smells like being on a resort in the middle of a citrus garden overlooking the ocean.

Been wanting this for a while, caught a good deal on marketplace, $85 for a 35-40% full bottle. I love it, but the longevity issue is definitely something im struggling with. Beautiful fragrance though, happy that I have it, but I don’t think I would even get the refill. I think it would just be smarter to buy a dupe that lasts longer.

My favorite orange scent by a mile. The dry down is a nice semi-sweet blue scent. The guy who said this is an orange scent with the texture of a cool blue is exactly right. The performance is mediocre, but... I’m a sucker for this one. The refills are 1/2 the price of a new bottle! It’s an investment! Or so I’ve told myself 😂

10/10 fresh orange scent. It's not entirely complex, but that's not what this one is about. The quality at what it does is stunning. It's very realistic and refined the dry down is smooth and sweet but not overwhelming. It's clean and up lifting yet provides that small masculine edge with a hint of luxurious after tones.
