Rain Tea

I think this is absolutely beautiful, it instantly transports me to a 5 star hotel lobby with a really calming effect. I've been wearing this everyday the past week and I've been loving it. It's very clean/fresh smelling, not so much soapy clean but just a luxurious clean hotel or spa smell. It's super inoffensive and likable too imo. My best friend and gf love it, and my parents who don't like fragrances say it smells nice and fresh. I love the lemongrass here, it's more noticeable in the opening and slowly fades into the background. It's a little more floral than I was expecting, the florals are pretty prominent in the dry down. I wouldn't say it's feminine though, it's pretty genderless imo. Performance is actually really good for a fresh fragrance. At first I thought it was poor, but I was going noseblind to it after wearing it so much. I wore 5 sprays before the gym and some errands, and asked my roommate if he could still smell it after 5 hours or so and he could still smell it from a few feet away. I could smell it on the shirt I wore the day before too in my car after over 24 hours. It's not too strong though I think it has a comfortable scent bubble/projection with great longevity. Imagination will always be my favorite, but this jumped to my #2 LV fragrance, and top 5 in my collection. If you're an imagination or tea lover, you're gonna love this one.

All the way from China for today’s scent! This is an amazing smelling clean shower gel ish scent on the opening. The intial blast made me think that if I could haw the perfect shower or soap scent it would be this. There is fresh clean note on the opening that is an amazing introduction to this fragrance that quickly fades to all a beautiful combination of floral, tea, and lemon to shine. On the dry down Rain Tea unfortunately gets just a little worse, the floral gets just a bit strong and takes on a tad of a powdery soapy note that just slightly overshadows the tea and lemon. Performance wise Rain Tea is absolutely astonishing in both longevity and projection for being the type of fragrance that it is. It lasted 8 to 9 hours on my skin and about 6 on my clothing. A 9/10 here. I feel like this is incredibly performance for a fragrance that isn’t dark, heavy and overally strong. Projection wise Rain Tea rises perfectly off my skin, it projects about 2 feet around me. An 8/10. I really enjoyed Rain Tea and I can only hope that it will release outside of China soon if it ever will. Overall this fragrance is an 8/10 for me. I love the way it smelled and performed, it is complex in almost all the right ways. The clean complex profile is only slightly held back by the slightly to strong floral with its powdery soapy quality.

Like others have commented, I liked this one best from the three new China releases. On my skin, it opens with fresh lemongrass and citrus, which only lasted about 15-20 minutes. Then it becomes more magnolia/rose centric scent, which lasted quite a while. Tea, if there is any, is very very faint, almost undetectable. So don't think we are getting a tea fragrance. The dominance of magnolia/rose makes this one slightly fem-leaning towards the drydown. There are some woody facets in the drydown too, but not very prominent on skin. On the blotter, the citrus and woody notes are more prominent, while magnolia/rose is a bit more subdued than on skin. Nevertheless, this one smells the best out of the three, so there you go.

Inspired by Chinese traditional tea art, Rain Tea is a clean, calming fragrance that opens with a crisp hit of lemongrass and citrus before quickly softening into a floral tea profile. A light honeyed sweetness from the magnolia and subtle grassy nuance give it that “after rain in a tea garden” vibe. Compared to Imagination, Raintea is way less soapy and slightly more floral and sweet. (Imagine removing the soapiness and adding that citrus and faint floralness. Longevity and Projection are very similar to imagination. Picked up back in China for ~2666 yuan, which is about 550 AUD or 387 USD. Don't think it's worthwhile to travel there just to get the fragrance, but if you're ever passing by, it's a great pickup. 9/10

Louis Vuitton Rain Tea is a better Imagination, from the same house. Retrying Imagination years later after wanting it in my collection, it smells more masculine and aromatic to me than what I previously thought. Not sure if it's the ginger or what. Many men do love that scent though and I love it back. For Rain tea the aromatics are dialed down, if it has any at all...besides the tea. It's a cool and sweet lemony tea. It has a good dose of ozonic pink rose in here making it unisex leaning more feminine to me. All blended into a smooth "drinking sweet tea with lemons by the pool with pink roses around" scent. So glad I waited.

Absolutely gorgeous, addictive fragrance. It’s what I hoped I would find when I tried The Yulong and Wulong Cha/Wulong Cha X. Such a beautiful, fresh citrus tea fragrance with the perfect amount of sweetness from the magnolia (I get more magnolia than rose, although the rose can still be slightly detected). I find this slightly more feminine leaning, but it is still unisex. One of the best LV fragrances for women in my opinion.

Fresh and light! Very uplifting summer scent. I expect them to delete all the non-Vuitton 'reminds me of' references again, so I'll type it here: it reminds me of Aire sutileza by Loewe. Both are quite shampoo-ish, but Sutileza leans a little bit fruitier, while Rain Tea leans more fresh watery and has a tiny hint of bitterness in the background.

I just got a 2 ml decant of Rain Tea 🥳 I ordered that for about $20 and a ten ml decant of MFK Baccarat Rouge 540 EDP for $30 or so. It has a nice, lemon aquatic green scent.

Beautifully crafted with lemon touch over tea and wet woody gave rainy vibes with floral base and the good thing about that it has good lasting

I somehow get a vibe similar to Creed's Silver. The price like any other LV is a disappointment though

I felt a moderate mixture of the cactus garden and other citrus perfumes Imagination & afteroon swim. I was thinking between this perfume and moonale, and I bought moontale because the scent of this perfume was attractive, but I didn't like the durability and bottle color. If you've been waiting for the cactus garden, I recommend this perfume rather than the expensive extra cost.

9.0 /10 imagine a green ( gound powder) tea with montagnes dupe of cactus garden, and light citrusy floral notes . That is what I am getting. If you like cactus garden a but cunt down on the lemon grass and freshen it up you get this. I really like it but it wont be easy to get.

Fresh citrus fragrance, unexpectedly the best of the 3 new releases. Nice projection with average fresh longevity. Just finished wearing the 3 of them, this entire line is not my cup of tea. If you want something fancy and niche, this line and new fantasmagory is not it.

Out of the 3 new release this is my fav. It is a Citrus Rosy lemongrass scent with a subtle hint of tea. totally agree that this is a more femine version of imagination. lovely

Excellent fragrance. A more powerful and straightforward version of Wūlóng Chá X; they smell very close to each other to my nose.

Neroli outrenoir with some LV touches... nice, but nothing special. Performance is solid.

The votes here are hilarious. This is clearly a feminine-leaning fragrance, and projection certainly isn't enormous. It's another likeable, middle-of-the-road LV issue that will be popular due to its brand and exclusivity. Longevity is very, very good for this type of fragrance, though. Magnolia dominates on me, not tea.

For the sake of fun/without having tried it, my guess is that it will be at least 50%+ similar to Cactus Garden or otherwise a twist on that theme.

Rain Tea is beautifully made, but it feels underwhelming for the price. The opening is fresh with lemongrass and citrus, but the tea note is much weaker than expected. Instead of a realistic green tea fragrance, it quickly turns into a floral magnolia/rose scent. On top of that, the performance isn’t impressive for a luxury fragrance. If you’re expecting a unique summer tea masterpiece from Louis Vuitton, this one may leave you disappointed. There are better tea fragrances available for significantly less money and better performance

Freshie which leans more towards women . Not worth the money, u can get this scent profile from Arden's Teas 🍵🍵 The price is ridiculous and the bottle doesn't even look classy, more like a 🐸 toy for children

This stuff is absolutely phenomenal. A more unisex, sparkly Imagination. This fragrance opens similar to Monsoon Tea by D'annam, but a lot more refined, and more mass appealing. Imagine a Lipton sweet tea, instead of D'annnam's photorealistic. The watery scent lasts the whole way through. But as the top notes fade, there are notes of the Imagination DNA that seeps through - not really the tea, but the soapiness that makes Imgination so phenomenal. The tea itself is slightly different - not the black tea of Imagination, but more of a sweet tea. The full drydown leaves a lingering clean hotel soap shower scent. Absolute gem, and would def be in the top 3 LVs if it had been a global launch. Unfortuntealy, it's score I'm giving is affected by its performance, since it's very much on the soft side - I guess I'll have to do a 60 spray routine... 8.5/10

I know this hasn't been released yet, but it seems by the notes that is a playoff on Cactus Gardens with an added twist from Imagination. When Cactus Gardens was added, it didn't really fit in with the other LV colognes, so they discontinued it (from my knowledge). And so, they want to bring it back but have no idea on how to present it, so they are creating a new line of fragrances. My guess is these will be priced somewhere between the original and the oud line, so between $350-440. It seems like it will be good. (I will update this review once I get to try and truly test it.) Edit: I was completely right. Smells like if imagination and cactus gardens have a baby. Quite feminine, but I like it. The bottle is really cool, never expected Lv try out playful colors. Wouldn't pick this up, but its great.

I LOVE this one and can tell already it will become an obsession. It’s a gentle scent but still strong and lots of staying power. The name is perfect, it’s crisp and fresh with definite tea notes and that smell right after the rain when you’re in a large meadow. It’s got a sweetness which separates it from most “freshies” and makes it really crisp, fresh and unique. Absolutely beautiful.

Just because a bunch of influences have traveled to China or bought this collection to decant, resell it in the states or film their TikTok video doesn’t mean that it’s good, I mean it smells good but it’s a feminine fragrance that’s not at the same level as Atrape or Stellar or even Elves. And y’all are about to find out in the next few months when LV releases it in the west.

So funny seeing the haters mad because of the name of the perfume, like if every perfume name is unique, like if there only exists one “enigma” named perfume... But when a dupe house steals and copies the entire perfume and even markets it as a copy everyone is so happy. I feel pity for you

If money is not an issue for you, then it is a decent feminine scent. The floral note reminded me of J. Komal; of course, Louis Vuitton's scent quality is superior, but there is still a lot of resemblance.

Name has been ripped off a niche brand called Chasing Scents. I would recommend trying the original Rain Tea...it's beautiful!
