Sun Song 2025

I received my bottle today from an LV website pre-order. The few prelim opinions we have seen and heard thus far like Fragboy1992 here on Fragrantica and notesandnuances on YouTube had me optimistic, but it is even better than I had hoped. SMOOTH citrus summer freshie. It is so well blended. Just a gorgeous citrus and white floral warm weather scent. The musk definitely adds that “clean laundry” accord Fragboy1992 aptly described. This is equal parts citrus, white floral and musk. The neroli, lemon and pettigrain oils create a perfect union of sweetness, tartness, bitterness and greenness. It smells like you took what is the best of Afternoon Swim and improved and enhanced it with green and tart notes. The orange blossom is not overly dominant like it is in so many male targeted designer fragrances these days, and this harmony between the citruses and the orange blossom adds dimension and maturity to the fragrance. What a masterful job of blending citruses and white florals ... this keeps it firmly unisex. And then the musk rolls in like a beautiful pure white, billowy cloud ☁️ on a bright French Blue sky. The musk adds sensuality, softness and powdery comfort so that this is equally appropriate on both warm days and warm nights. Projection and sillage are above average for a citrus white floral scent. Longevity is shockingly excellent for me! Granted I have only worn it today, but at about 7 hours, it is going STRONG. I can confidently say its longevity for me is significantly better than any of the other EDP strength LV citrus freshies I have and know well, like Afternoon Swim, Pacific Chill, Sur La Route and On The Beach. Of course, it does not compete with Symphony, but it comes surprisingly closer than I would have ever imagined it could. Sun Song 2025 is light years better than the original. It is more complex, mature, elegant and sophisticated. And the scent is just beautiful .... natural, uplifting and for lack of a better word, joyful. And it is definitely 100% unisex and 100% blind buy friendly, if you understand and can picture what high quality citrus + white florals + white clean musk should smell like. Just a very, very pleasant surprise. 9.5/10 and a Fragrantica score of 4.6 from me. I am going to wear this all over the place this hot summer. If I had to compare it to another LV fragrance, I would say it is similar to Afternoon Swim with some added white florals, and creamy and powdery touches. I LOVE 💕 IT Bravo 👏 Monsieur Belletrud

I don't own a bottle and my experience with this fragrance is based off of a paper tester, so I can only provide limited judgement, but what I can say is that this is very smooth perfumery from Cavallier once again. I've never smelt the original, but my first impression of the new Sun Song has pressed all my buttons in a good way. I laid a handful of testers out in my room, and upon re-entering it later in the day, this one completely stood out, leaving my room smelling so, so good. The opening has a very fresh, typical cologne profile consisting of a super realistic lemon and neroli, which is definitely reminiscent of Neroli Portofino and such. Whilst the smell is enjoyable, it's not what you'd look for when spending this much money, and it lacks the creativity of the other LV freshies. However, much improvement occurs after around an hour, with the citrus and florals mellowing out, taking a bit of the sharpness away to reveal a warmer, muskier, soapier accord which I find absolutely gorgeous. This seems to follow the same pattern as Imagination, but with a sunnier and more aromatic dry down - in fact, it gives a similar vibe to On The Beach. Cavallier must have discovered a secret ingredient which he is rinsing to create such addictive fragrances so consistently. He's definitely proven he is the king of warm weather perfumery, and although it's not a completely original creation, Sun Song is one of the better niche/private line releases of 2025. Unfortunately, I do feel like the LV fresh collection are significantly overlapping in terms of use cases, which makes it hard to justify owning more than one or two. Dior definitely has LV beat when it comes to variety. I cannot state how much I would love to see a sweet, gourmand fragrance by Cavallier for this brand, even if it's only half as good as his freshies. Vanilla is knocking at the door Mr. Cavallier...

I have a sample of the OG Sun Song and just picked this new one up. They are very different. This newer one definitely lasts longer and has a bit more complexity/depth. I will say this is a great fragrance. It’s so clean, slightly soapy, and heavily laundry detergent-y. I wore it on my shirt to the gym and I would get wafts of it while doing my reps and it was just blissful. It’s slightly warm but uplifting, calming and joyful, like falling asleep on a cool bed of freshly laundered sheets in an open field of sun flowers during the golden hour. It’s a springtime and summer scent in a bottle. Outside of that I will say this scent is very different on skin and clothes than it is on a paper strip. It’s like it blossoms on skin where on paper it just doesn’t develop and comes off as boring and linear. On skin it has a slight musky undertone that California Dream has. I don’t think it has much in common with afternoon swim, but I can see why people might get it. This isn’t getting much love on socials but I enjoy the heck out of it. My wife hated it at first whiff but after a few hours when it settles into its laundry freshness she liked it a lot on me. It’s an easy wear and one that can be worn everyday. It’s office safe for sure. Not really a formal occasion scent. More of a Sunday brunch with Mimosas, an late afternoon picnic, or a wine tour scent.

The opening does have that lemon cleaner vibe for the first minute or two, but after that it drys down beautifully. It actually reminds me of city of stars so if you like that scent you'll like this one too. This would be a fire summer staple. It has that unique LV scent note that I cant put my finger on. It's a slight watery soapy vibe but it conveys luxury. I think Jacques Cavallier does a great job creating that connection with all the LV fragrances. It is slightly reminiscent of one of my favorite scents by him - Leau Dissey pour homme edt (Issey Miyake). I get why some people hate on this scent bc of the opening but if you wait for the dry down you will be pleased. Projection and longevity isn't as crazy as something like meteore or symphony but it's great for a summer fragrance. I get a solid 6 7 hours of longevity (hehe). However, even though I love this fragrance, I must admit it is way overpriced for this DNA. It's a nice soapy citrus fragrance but you can find similar scents for a fraction of the price. But definitely test it in store, let it sit for a bit and see how you like it (never blind buy). The $400 price tag can be worth it if you absolutely love it and you feel like it can be your signature scent.

Liz066 and AhmedElbahja95 both sum up Sun Song perfectly! I tried this yesterday at the LV boutique and wow, the beautiful zesty lemon really hits you. Later, you get an orange dry down with musk. Really really fresh, young and quite beautiful. It's classy, chic and sporty at the same time. Having worn Neroli Portofino for the last 10+ years, Sun Song is a far nicer, fresher fragrance - I don't find them similar. NP lasts for five minutes on my skin, Sun Song lasts a good 6+ hours. It's lovely! Sun Song LAYERED with Afternoon Swim would be AMAZING!!! My other two favourites are Pacific Chill which a friend from Morocco at the gym introduced me to - it seemed to smell amazing in the gym as it was a super hot summer evening and Afternoon Swim which for me, smells just like Clinique Happy for Men in the 1990s but in a great way! Attrape-Reves came across as super classy, soft, modern rose like. It's pure elegance! It's beautiful. Sadly, I wasn't impressed with Ombre Nomad which wasn't unique enough - it's just like TF Tuscan Leather and Imagination along with L'Immensite didn't wow me either.

Sun Song is essentially summer bottled at the luxury level, and it revolves around radiant citrus—particularly orange blossom and lemon—with a musky base. It opens extremely bright and juicy, almost like freshly squeezed citrus under direct sunlight, but what separates it from cheaper “freshies” is the texture: it feels smooth, refined, and slightly creamy rather than sharp. As it develops, neroli and orange blossom come forward, adding a floral dimension that keeps it from being just a citrus splash. The drydown introduces soft white musk, which gives it a clean, skin-like finish that feels effortless and airy. The whole fragrance is built to evoke warmth, light, and openness—it’s not meant to be complex or challenging. The downside is performance: like many citrus-heavy compositions, it doesn’t last as long or project as strongly as darker scents. But that’s part of the design—it’s meant to feel light, optimistic, and ephemeral, not heavy or imposing. This is the kind of fragrance that works best in heat and casual settings, where its simplicity becomes an advantage rather than a flaw.

Since I tried Chill & Sole, last year, from Jacques Cavallier too, I have been looking for an orange blossom perfume. I have tried TONS of them, Loewe, L’Artisan Perfumeur, YSL, Les Indemodables, TF, Serge Lutens, etc. A lot of houses, a lot of perfumes and when I heard Sun Song was getting re-released, I just knew I had to check it out. This perfume is hands down, the best orange blossom scent I have smelled, and I can understand why it is not for everyone, but I cannot really understand people looking down on it. This perfume is fresh, subtle and airy, it is the epitome of a summer scent perfect for anyone. The opening is citrusy, full of life and addictive, and the drydown has a beautiful musk note that simply lingers to you. This is not a powdery orange blossom. I will have to say that it is very easy to go noseblind to it but as you move or continue with your day, you get sniffs of this wonderful scent.

I generally don't prefer linear or simple fragrances, which, in my personal opinion, characterizes many of LV's scents. However, this one is a bit different. It's complex and simple at the same time. I own a bottle of this fragrance, and it's one of the most smooth and well-blended citrus scents I've encountered. The opening is a fresh and smooth burst of citrus, and you can definitely tell the quality of the ingredients. As it dries down, it becomes more soapy with a subtle fruity note in the background. I personally find the longevity to be a bit short, lasting around two hours on me. However, my friends have remarked on how noticeable the scent is, and the sillage seems quite good. While some might consider it overpriced, I believe it offers good value for its cost. This is definitely a safe blind buy and a crowd-pleaser.

Bright effervescent citrus white floral musk. You get all the notes from the initial spray so it's almost transparent in the way you can see the whole scent pyramid. It's got a presence for a freshie projection and sillage wise. Better than expected in terms of scent and performance. Very elegant possibly one of the few freshies in LV worth the splurge. Whether you like dupes or not Imagination now is a fairly common scent to smell out and about due to the wide array of dupes to choose from. Pacific Chill also heading in that direction of being duped to death. Of Cavalier's freshies I would enjoy Bvlgari Aqva Amara, Bvlgari Gyan, LV L'Immensite and Issey's L'eau Bleu. Heard on the grape vine Insider Parfums will be releasing a fragrance inspired by Sun Song.

I'm a sucker for neroli and this is a good one. Quality neroli over an earthy musky base. The drydown merges into familiar territory of the soapy clean neroli portofino family of scents. This is essentially Lv's entry into that already crowded space. If you're an Lv fan and have brand loyalty and like the handsome bottle, you will gravitate here. If you're not a brand loyalist then I can recommend a dozen that I've tried that get you to the same classic drydown. However, I do appreciate their twist on the opening and mid which is different from the pack. ----------------------------------------- Scent 80/100 Performance 75/100

Ok so I NEVER leave reviews but I had to with this BEAUTY!! At first I thought this is just another beautiful Neroli scent..... BUT THEN a few minutes in I noticed this was NOT just another beautiful neroli fragrance. This Was projecting BEAST MODE and the more it dried the more SPECTACULAR it smelled. The scent bubble it created was intoxicating and the compliments began to roll in left and right. I even had a coworker follow me to my desk in AWE. This is the MOST INCREDIBLE NEROLI SCENT IVE EVER SMELLED AND IT DOES SMELL LIKE THE SUN IS LITERALLY KISSING YOU ALL OVER. I’m in love!!!! 🥰❤️🔥💯

This reminds me of a hot summer late morning with the sun shining bright, dew on the grass hanging out by the water with close family and friends. The warmth of the sun causing your freshly clean clothes to produce a smell in the air and also the smell of nature around you. There is such a nostalgic and comforting feeling in this fragrance. Jacques does it again by capturing such magic and emotion in a bottle. This is about as clean, cozy and comforting as it gets for a warm weather fragrance. The name suits it perfect as well as the bottle.

I will preface this by saying I DO NOT like green-forward fragrances such as Green Irish Tweed. IMHO, Sun Song 2025 is a perfect balance of green/citrus. From initial spray to drydown, the balance stays the same. To my nose it is a less "in your face" PDM Greenley. I read somewhere (maybe a comment on here) that this smells like when you do fresh laundry and then walk outside and pass by the duct from the dryer. That is a perfect description. I am wearing it in 90 degree heat with no problem so it is very versatile.

Actually a pretty good summer release from Cavallier and LV! Initially starting with neroli, musk, white florals and citrus vibe. Eventually Sun Song dries down and evolves into a soapy, clean, citrus fragrance. I have also detected a very small hint of something fruity. I also think of newly washed clothes, that is hanging outside in the summer! Very unisex and I think this is a 8/10. Cavallier truly knows how to blend perfumes well, and is a master of capturing associations and memories in perfume!

Amazing longevity, specially on clothes. I can smell it on my shirt days after spraying it. The balance between the neroli, lemon and white musk notes is flawless and yes, you can smell the quality of the ingredients. It’s uplifting, sunny, sparkling sweet without being overly cloying. I do think it’s not a safe blind buy, because some guys could say it leans “feminine”, although I don’t think there’s such a distinction in perfumery. Try before you buy. I did and I love it!

Smells like sunlight, Lilac, grass, and musk. Brisk summer morning in a bottle. Very fresh and uplifiting, but some people notice it smelling like cleaners with green/grassy scents. It's concerningly very close to it. Still smells great. Like musk therapy, but with less milkiness and more grass/flower notes. My female friends love the dry down too. The initial notes are a bit strong. Worth $350? No. But when I'm doing well, inshallah, this will be on my wishlist. 8.5/10

So just brought this at LV harrods in london hour train ride for me. This is a fantasic Neroli scent and I love Neroli I do not think it's at all Redundant if you own TF Neroli Portofino. The longevity on the TF is not that good.If money is an issue with the LV and out of reach I highly recommend you get Jean Lowe summer vibes maison alhambra that will get you 99.5% the way there I have it also and it is really good and it only cost£ £20..

Louis Vuitton Sun Song is a bright, fresh, and uplifting fragrance. It smells like warm sunshine on my skin, with a breezy mix of citrus, light florals, and a hint of musk. It feels like driving with the windows down on a sunny day, peaceful but vibrant. Think of a clean white t-shirt, sun-warmed skin, and a carefree mood. Nothing too deep—just light, bright, and easy. The perfect warm weather fun in the sun fragrance for me

For those wondering if it's close to Neroli Portofino(Parfum), it is- but to some extent. Sun song is creamier- its sweeter, and the neroli note isn't as pungent. In other words, NP has that sharp, bitter (but pleasant) undertone, and Sun Song replaces it with orange blossom sweetness. I wore both quite a bit and I would say NP is fresher and considerably sharper, but Sun Song is more pleasant to smell.

I was able to get a tester of this and I’ve worn it over the past 2 days. Easily 3ish hours of large projection (6+ feet), then for another 3ish hours, it’s a 2ft projection. Then a skin scent for 3-4 more hours. This gives about a 10 hour wear time. As with most LV’s, it did stick to my clothes for 48 hours, but not robust, just lingering. I’d give it a 9/10. A Summer beast that is well worth the buy!
