Moondance

A bright sweet floral. Like a sweet pink sunshine. I was thinking I’d see something fruity listed in the notes. If you like Pink Me Up by ADO but find it too pricey, I think this smells similar. Not an exact dupe but I knew it wasn’t just in my head when the first review I saw described it as a sweet jammy rose. I’ve seen other people describe Pink Me Up similarly. This also runs circles around Pink Me Up’s lasting power. I’m not usually a fan of sandalwood and find this pretty. I prefer the smell of Pink Me Up because I find it more raw. Still, I think when my ADO bottle runs out, I will purchase this instead to spare my bank account. This was the stand out for me among the LoveShackFancy fragrances. Given that I have a similar scent profile in my collection, I won’t be bothered with the other two in the line.

LOVE this scent! I disagree with those who say it smells cheap, or like, an immature scent, to me, this scent is so very nostalgic, well rounded, and SO fresh. I think a lot of people will see rose as the top note and stay away, but rose is simply a whisper that ties in all the other scents and gently blankets you in a soft, fresh rose scent. The magnolia bursts through as well, as when it is on my skin it's the first note I can smell. The sandalwood is very hushed too, as it complements the magnolia and brings warmth to the rose. The rose isn't a powdery rose either, which is common in a lot of rose/magnolia scents. This is for sure my new spring go to.

This is another rose fragrance that's teaching me to love rose when done right. I think maybe the sandalwood is what bring this into the realm of a dreamy rose scent. I keep wanting to call it Dreamdancer rather than Moondance. While lychee is not a listed note, the jammy rose scent in this one really reminds my of lychee. It's both soft and sweet. I wish it lasted more than a couple of hours before turning into a bandaid scent. However, that opening is amazing.

This is a powdery floral fragrance (predominantly rose) with a hint of sweet fruitiness. The sandalwood is more prominent to me in the opening, then it seems like it moves to the background simply to smooth out the fragrance during the rest of its performance. It's nothing unique, new, or different but it is very enjoyable if you're a rose lover. Longevity is moderate. Projection is also moderate for the first 4 hours on my skin before becoming a skin scent.

The rose is pronounced during the opening then it transforms into a sandalwood leaning scent. I’m getting a small bit of the magnolia as well. This is really well blended and not overly complex. It smells feminine and expensive. Silage was strong in the first hour. It filled the whole room beautifully. It was still detectable an arms length away at about an hour and a half in, and then became a skin scent a few hours later.

This is in the delina exclusif, Very good girl family. A gorgeous baby powdery rose! 8/10 only because it's a little redundant for me. I have many many roses and this isn't anything I've never smelled before.

Probably my favorite scent from LoveShackFancy. I love magnolia smells and this is just...chef's kiss. I love this floral scents with the rose and the wood.

A classic sweet gourmand rose scent. Straightforward and basic, yet timeless. A big fan of this fragrance and LoveShackFancy. No further explanation needed.

Does anyone know about the "Thug Edwardian Lady" meme by Karolina Żebrowska? This is what she smells like. Yes, this is a classic combo. Rose and sandalwood? It's been done. Add watery magnolia, and already the comparisons are gonna start flooding in. Parfums de Marly's Delina, Givenchy's Irresistible, all of the Gucci Floras, and of course, the mother of all rose-freshies, Chloé. LoveShackFancy isn't doing anything super groundbreaking with Moondance. But that's the point. There is something about their take on this classic scent profile. There's something a little insidious, a little dirty, straight to the point. Moondance isn't pretending to be anything more than what it is. There are no pretensions, no forced attempts at sophistication, no delusions of grandeur. She's all dressed up, she looks glam, she's wearing a cartwheel hat and gloves, but she talks like Jenna Marbles. Moondance is an easy and user-friendly rose for beginners. Everything about this brand is about cuteness, kitschy, Victoriana glamour and fun. Moondance does just that, and does it well. For such a simple scent, it performs remarkably well. The projection is respectable, detectable at an arm's length for about four hours, and hung around as a nice, hotel soap drydown scent for another three. Honestly–I was impressed. So, touché, Sephora. Credit where credit is due! Also, let's take a minute to admire the bottles for this brand. They look like they came from Sofia Coppola's prop department. 🌸🎀💖

A sweet woody rose, very feminine. The rose is way more dominant than the magnolia in my opinion. It gets more woody with dry-down. Not very dimensional, but pretty. More unique than Forever in Love, but I think less of a crowd pleaser. A sweet floral driftwood, simple yet is really nice to my nose. If you like rose and sandalwood I think you would love this! I would say of the 3 this is the one I would wear at night. I bought the travel size of all 3 and below is my ranking. Based on my collection I might purchase Moondance and Forever in Love, but only on sale, and let's be real the bottle's are a driving factor of this purchase not the scents! The bottles are STUNNING and so coquette-cute. My #1 Forever in Love (Pink): Most Feminine, fruity pretty gardenia! Safest blind-buy. A little basic, but very nice and most feminine! My #2: Moondance (White): The rose and sandalwood blend nicely together. The most mature fragrance out of the 3. Mmm, it's cozy, most nighttime out of the 3. Longest lasting!!! My #3: Boheme (Blue): A solar sunscreen floral bouquet. The most unique out of the 3. If I didn't own A&F Sheer Instinct, this would be a must-buy full-size and my #1.

this is a very woody, dry, powdery floral. lasting power is pretty good. i have a full size of forever in love and a travel of this one. i think this has the best performance of all three. i’d say this is a safe blind buy if you like any type of floral. i see that rose is the top note but to me this is a classic white floral. this is being compared to CH very good girl but there’s no similarity. very good girl is tart, juicy, jammy vanilla rose and moon dance is not. over all i’d say this is full bottle worthy !! very pretty and simple

This smells really good. It DOES remind me of Angel Nova, which im NOT a fan of, but it’s much less sharp and cloying. It also slightly reminds me of loubidoo, but without the overpowering cedar chest note. This is a very girly and feminine rose. I wasn’t expecting much from this fragrance, but it surprised me! It’s not a love, but a definite like. If you like rose fragrances, this one is hard to be mad at.

It really blew me away at first as I'm not normally into floral scents, especially ones so simple! It definitely smells like rose, but not overpowering and more on the sweeter side rather than clean/sharp side. It's a shame it doesn't keep that sweet scent as it dries down, and while I don't really like sandalwood it does admittedly keep the rose from growing too sharp as it loses that sweetness.

Shes sweet and she’s rosy and she’s been done before. Fun and jammy and feminine. I would totally buy this four those days when you have no idea what to wear and want a lovely crowd pleaser. I’m surprised there are no berry notes listed. Reminds me if Indigo by Nest and any tart rose off the shelf had a baby.

Pretty standard rose scent good for a younger girl getting into her first fragrances. Not too sweet which I appreciated. Something about it reminded me of Victoria's Secret in the mid aughts. A good and approachable take on something that's been done thousands of times. Like!

it smells good but there’s nothing special about it. i’d also say it’s sweeter than depicted on this site, definitely on the younger side. it honestly just smells like how Lush stores smell when you walk in- rose bomb

just like the rosewater spray from mario badescu. rose isn't always my favorite, but this was very nice.

this smells exactly like nest indigo to me but with less projection

A sweet, indulgent, seemingly harmless innocence. Tulle and the color pink. Ballet slippers that sit on a shelf only to be admired, and never worn. Jealous and bashful love. This is a very simple, youthful scent. It’s not overly complicated, and well made. I get all the floral notes well, and the sandalwood works its magic in the background, keeping everything tied together in a sweet ribbon. It comes out almost as a milky, vanilla-like note, but not in an overly cloying way nor in way for it to be classified as gourmand or lactonic. It’s like the ‘Goldilocks’ of sandalwood, just right, checking every box. However, despite this simple decadence, this fragrance almost unsettles me in a way, something just feels wrong about it. The perfect word to describe this scent would be swanky. Yes it’s stylish and approachable, but the lavish bottle and hefty price point don’t really match the rather simplistic composition. It’s in no way bad, I just think it needs something more. There’s a gaping void weaved within all the notes. I pretty much only wear this fragrance with another, I rarely find myself just wearing it by myself because I feel like it’s missing a certain complexity I desire, there’s just this indescribable emptiness. Despite this trailing displeasure, I still find myself using it. It’s a sort of mindless indulgence. Something you can’t help but gravitate towards despite its shallowness. It’s sickeningly alluring. Something that makes you feel powerful almost in a way, like “I’m wearing a $140 perfume. I smell sweet and dainty. Look at me.” I don’t think I’ll remove it from my collection, but it’s certainly something that evokes confusing feelings.

This does not smell like rose scent to me. On clothing I get the rose a little more, but in general I don't "experience" the rose. Maybe it's more like the "idea" of a rose? It smells more like a cashmeran lychee scent, with maybe a little cotton candy, to my nose. This generally would sound horrifying to me and I did not purchase this because I wanted to try it (I got this in a set of other samples I was interested in), but for what it is, it's not bad. It's not as fruity or cloyingly sweet as I feared. While it does read a little boring and basic to me, this is likely to be a crowd pleaser. Generic feminine slightly fruity floral. Maybe a step up from BBW and Victoria's Secret body sprays. Nothing special, but probably a safe bet for a lot of people wanting more feminine-leaning scents. I probably will not wear this again, but it's not offensive like I was expecting it to be. 5.5/10.

I think that this one is just ok. I'll be honest though, I really only bought this because of the bottle so I don't mind that the fragrance isn't my favorite. It is a pretty strong perfume and seems to last a long time on me. I would say that this is a very powdery rose, not fresh at all. I tend to like floral scents to be on the fresher side, so if you like powdery rose scents then you would probably love this. It also leans more on the mature side as well.

This is just okay. I got the discovery set with all three samples. Was interested in purchasing because the bottles are really pretty. However, I got a synthetic rose scent that did not last very long (about 1-2 hours on my skin). I do get the citrus scents, but did not get the sandalwood that others were able to smell. I've had better rose/citrus combos. 3/5

Obligatory rose fragrance for this house. Nothing to write home about

A linear, slightly powdery rose scent. I’m generally not a fan of rose and I’m unfortunately slightly allergic to the rose in this so it couldn’t ever work for me. Has moderate sillage and lasts 6 hours on me. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ✔️ Mugler Angel Nova: similar but not as powdery ✔️ PDM Delina: similar but not as powdery ❌ Burberuy Her EDT: much fruitier ❌ Lancôme Idôle: has citrus and fruitiness that are missing here

Was a beautiful almost gourmand floral (think Turkish Delight) in the beginning. 1.5 hours later, rose potpourri. Not for me.

Kind of offensive and unpleasant...

Mixed with my body chemistry (I’m 35+ yrs old): LoveShackFancy Moondance smells like a cheap, cheap chemical rose scent, like a girlie-ish bathroom freshener. Only for children imo, complete opposite of sophisticated. Even on paper a few hours later, it still smells like someone destroyed a bathroom & tried to cover it with some cheap sh*tty rose scented bathroom air freshener 😕

I love this one. I tried to buy it but it was sold out and only being sold in the travel size so I ended up getting Forever in Love instead. This one gives me Wonderland Peony vibes or like a more simplistic Flowerbomb. These fragrances are simple but they just smell good! I love how I smell when I wear this one and I get complements. On top of that, it has great longevity and projection. Can I also mention how adorable the bottles are! They are like girly, French Rococo dreams! The shape of the bottle, the adorable ivy print with the massive bow caps are just too cute! Mine always sits in the middle of my Fragrance shelfs top row behind my Guerlain and Chanel bottles. Also, it's hilarious in the People who like this also like row, I have Lost Cherry and I bought Forever in Love, VDBIR and Princess all this December at Sephora during their December sale. I also bought Cloud since it was so cheap and that's 5 out of 6. Apparently I need to try Burberry Goddess because these algorithms are killing it!

This is a really beautiful scent, but it’s not unique. That being said, the bottle alone might make it a worthy choice for some people. It smells very similar to chloe nomade, or one of the fruity flankers of mugler angel. I definitely am picking up on some oak moss. The magnolia is a nice touch though, and i do really pick up the subtle tropical citrus flare it adds to the scent dna. Something about it blends with the oak moss and reminds me almost of fig or maybe mango. It smells like the angel eau croisiere in the bluish bottle. It really is a beautiful scent, but not one i need in my collection at this point. I can see a lot of people liking this though, and again the bottle and even the name make it tempting!

this is my favourite out of the LSF line. Smells like smooth, velvety floral but my god the lasting power is SO BAD. In less than an hour it's gone. I have body mist lasting longer on my skin than this. Such a shame because I loved this scent.

This one was nice. I felt like there was a little patchouli in this but that wasn’t listed. It was just very short lived on the skin sadly.

Reminds me of when I was a kid and my mom would spray me down with Avon Skin So Soft as a mosquito repellent
