A la Reine des Fleurs

It's lovely! Very fresh and sweet/tangy and exhilarating. Cool, crisp - gorgeous lavender, thyme and rosemary!! Beautiful!!

A year or two ago I bought soap from 4711 Original. Initially I hated the neroli's soapy scent but it grew on me. It has a very nostalgic feel that I can't place in my memories. A few months ago I purchased A la Reine des Fleurs L.T. Piver based on the notes. It smells very much like 4711 Original smelling from the bottle. My first impression was that I did not like the neroli like scent. However, once on skin it morphs into a slightly soapy bitter, pithy citrus (no the sweet citrus I expected). Ive had it on for about 2 hours and am enjoying the clean scent. It's a pleasant, unisex citrus. Another nostalgic scent in a pretty bottle and super inexpensive to blind buy. p.s. I splashed on an Old Spice aftershave dupe and really enjoy the combo.

Starts off with a blast of limoncello-esque or lemon-meringue-pie-like lemon, super refreshing. Quickly mellows out and leaves a pleasant, light herbal scent that barely projects at all. Very nice when cooling off on a hot day or when you want something that's completely inoffensive but still a bit sophisticated. Feels like an eighteenth-century version of Clinique Happy, but wholly realistic, with no 1990s synthetic notes.

ephemeral just like a fresh breeze. when i wake up i pool a little bit in my palms, rub my hands and splash it on my face. it’s a bit like opening your windows onto a green and blue mountain view and taking a whiff of crisp alpine air. nice for imagination and lifting your mood first thing in the morning.

This is a good citrusy and spicy fragrance that is simply nice to put on after a shower. The smell is more unisex by today's standards, but it only lasts a couple hours at most. Nothing too sophisticated, but pleasant.

I get a hit of pure citrus in the beginning. Then, I have to try and imagine the lavender and strong pepper fades in and out. This feels thin to me, like an inexpensive but probably organic aftershave splash.

So, no flowers? Depends how you feel about lavender. After a 10-minute 4711 opening, French lavender takes the whole stage with its bubble gum sweetness, backed by an equally sweet clove note, sweetest clove I've ever smelled. Lavender bubble gum indeed. There's a savory rosemary hum in the lower register, giving almost a salty vibe: every sweet needs a pinch of salt. And that's it. Just what says in the pyramid. Liked it more than I thought I would. Recommended.

This is a cologne splash that was first made in 1774 pre-dating 4711 by 20 years or something. They are quite similar in smell. This has citrus, rosemary and lavender. It's very nice, and it's very cool and refreshing. doesnt last at all, but neither does 4711. I got a 100ml bottle today for $24 so it's very affordable.

Just a nice cologne. Doesn't smell nice on my skin.
