Lelong Pour Femme

This is gorgeously elegant. If you love floral driven sophisticated perfumes this is it. Bergamot and mandarin opens with magnolia and lilac. Dont forget the honeyed fig...Let me say this.. had they just made the perfume with just the top notes alone..it would be a stunner. The exotic hart with orchids, even the vanillic chocolate sherry baby orchid is mixed here with rose, jasmine, and a gentle lilt of tuberose. The ylang gives it body in the heart. The exotic florals rest upon the base of sandalwood, vetiver and musk. Its very unique, and if you are an orchid fan like me, give this one a try. A blind buy i love. Signature worthy. Silage is moderate. This is a work of art. Its constructed with unique notes from top to bottom and a great tribute to M.LeLong. French passion for perfume at its best. There's lots of orchid going on here, at least 3 different varieties; a very rich floral in one of my favorite perfume bottles. Also a fair amount of citrus, but not tangy. The kadota fig lends to its sweetness without being overdone. I know this lasts for several hours, on me anyway, due to compliments I've gotten from people who've hugged me in the afternoon 6-8 hours after I apply it, but no one's ever complained that it's too strong. Besides the orchids there's also some very nice magnolia, tuberose, rose and other florals, and I always appreciate vetiver in perfumes marketed towards women. One of the classiest perfumes I've ever had, more of a dress-up perfume in my mind, I love it!

burst of lime in the top, hint of magnolia and lilac to sweeten but mostly about orchid, rose and tuberose with definite chypre oakmoss quality, some vetiver and musk; this is unique and lovely; I hadn't pulled it out for awhile and forgot how lovely it is

Sophisticated, soapy, sexless. Contrary to its ad copy, LeLong Pour Femme evokes no passion at all. Instead, it's a scent that conjures respect and the sense that the wearer can be trusted to handle important business matters. An elegant, mature fragrance, it's not really me but perhaps aspirational! (My elegance and maturity could both use a boost.)
