Lucky Darling

I was at Macy's today and saw this. Bottle is beautiful. The topper alone is a show stopper. I grabbed it and smelled the top and immediately got Hibisucus. When the sales rep approached I asked "Does this have any Hibisucus" as usual she knew nothing. I took over explaining what notes I smelled and she clearly got the drift I needed no help picking a scent just wanted a price. Haha. Regardless. I never buy from a dept store because I can get cheaper online. But. I digress. Smell is amazing. Sprayed on my inner and top of left arm and the hibiscus and floral is so strong. Beautifully wearable for my body. Reminded me right off of Christina Aguilera's first major scent "Inspire" but with a much stronger silage. It also reminded me a but of "Dot" by Marc Jacobs but again a stronger silage and scent. Overall this is a Bath and Body Works scent but that lasts. Almost 6 hours later I still faintly smell on my arm and it's soapy and fresh dried down. I will deff be adding this to my collection and replacing some that don't hold as well as this does to make room for this!

I don't usually have good luck with name brand fragrances. I have a finicky nose and chemistry and tend to have a lot better luck with indie stuff. I saw the rollerball for this at TJ Maxx for $4, though, and couldn't resist. I'm glad I did because this one really works for me. Although the base notes don't have a lot of overlap, this reminds me in some way of Lancome Miracle. Perhaps it's the ginger and mandarin? No single note stands out for me in particular; it just smells good - not too heavy, not too fruity, not too prim. Like Miracle, the sum total of its elements comes together for me in a wonderful balance of floral and fruit in a way that smells lighthearted and happy, but also quite ladylike and more mature and complex than I'd expect from Lucky. This is one that I feel bridges the gap between teen fragrances and classic adult women's fragrances. It's fun and fresh, but I could wear in all kinds of situations and have it be perfectly appropriate.

I really like this one. The reviews on this one are all over the place, so only trust you own nose. This if a wisteria based floral with some citrus. I do own Lucky You and I will say that this is similar, without the powdery notes. I also reminds me of Daisy Dream, both have wisteria. The citrus is orange ish, but not sharp. Lovely bright floral. Really like it. Clearance bargain for 7.99. Tjmaxx, great lasting power too. Update , still loving this. Draws compliments , and scent lasts a long time without re applying.! Ps. I hated the tacky bottle so much, I painted it with emerald green nail polish and left the top the same. Now it looks much more classy on my tray. Funny, how something so simple can make us want to use a perfume more. .lol

Im not the kind of person who will be head over heels for cloying, heavy perfumes like Flowerbomb, Jessica Simpson, and the Thierry Mugler type aka the crowd pleasers. So this one for me stands out and its not even the typical Marc Jacobs/Ralph lauren crisp type department store scents that I find awfully generic and repetitive(yet some are nice don't get me wrong). My mom and I both loved this one and the wonderful floral composition, its quite unique to me. However the dry down smells kinda weird on me but not on my mother. To me this isn't boring at all. Thank God it wasn't a big hit so its price is lowered now :p

I really love the bottle. I ordered this because I like wisteria and I like orange ginger fragrances and I was curious what it would smell like together. The price was right on ebay and I got this in the mail recently and tried it out. The smell is pleasant, inoffensive, and a tad unique for Lucky Brand. The Wisteria is the strongest note for me followed by orange. The vibe is delicate, fruity and floral, youthful, and feminine. The Silage and Longevity are both weak, so many applications are needed to keep this scent going all day. I don't really mind this because I got a great deal on it, but I won't be purchasing a second bottle. No headaches or sinus issues at all.

I really just ordered this fragrance for the pretty bottle but, I happen to like it as it appears to have mixed reviews. It smells very similar Arden Beauty on me which I happen to also like. It's a crisp citrus floral with a touch of sweetness to it on me. The longevity isn't too good but for a little over $8 I really have no complaints.

Ok I am going to be totally honest. I only bought this for the bottle. I blind bought a 3.4 oz for $15 on ebay and like the scent too but its nothing that I would repurchase. Seems like when I am outside I can smell this better than when I am sitting in the house. I feel like this has a clean fruity smell.

This is a fresh citrus floral perfume that's long lasting with moderate sillage. I would only wear this in the spring, or summer. I get a lot of compliments on this perfume. This smells similar to Bombshell by Victoria's Secret, but without the berries and tropical fruits.

I was "lucky" enough tho buy this from eBay before it hit the department stores. I got it for $25.00 USD and while I do enjoy it, it definitely has a CK One vibe to it. I wear it occasionally, and the silage is pretty good,too.

Dear Readers, What can I say about this Darling? Well she did not lucked out with me that's for sure, and Im glad to see I'am not the only one here thinking,feeling and smelling the same thing, which is quite powerful . Big name such poor delivery that just doesn't fit. The floral here is very sweet and watery in the beginning but then it becomes "unlucky" very quickly ,it doesn't smell like anything original at all and the price for this perfume is too much for such a "commonly over done" type of floral musky type of scent. Frankly , Im getting tired on these mediocre types of perfumes that always smell like the next bottle and the next without having true character and unique spirit . Seeing that this has wisteria, I was hopeful since wisterias smell very enchanting (atleast in oil form) but this combo wasn't all auspicious and exciting once I took a whiff by bottle and applying it on my skin to see if maybe my chemistry will bring out the lucky magic. but no, it failed miserably, ashame a lot of money and plants went into making this and to be sold in such a high price for such poor quality. If you enjoy good florals, I recommend Estee Lauder, Chanel, Clarins, Oscar de la Renta, Cacharel and Cartier for good florals. Im sure you will be and get lucky with other designer's fabulous fragrances , because this "lucky darling" is fools gold, look elsewhere.

Love the bottle, that's what attracted me to the perfume in the first place. I wore this for the first time today and my son asked me what smells like Froot Loops? He's right this does start with a big fruity opening and I guess it is reminiscent of fruity breakfast cereal. Opening is great and then it just fades away to another generic cheap floral fragrance. It just doesn't seem to be mixed well, there are definite gaps which make you feel like it needs a pinch of something else. Quite long wearing and people around you can smell it, now whether smelling like breakfast cereal is a good thing, I will leave that up to you. I can't say I am enamoured by this perfume, in fact I really don't like it and was quite happy to wash it off.

I'm really surprised that Gardenia is NOT listed as a note in this little perfume. It's so clear to my nose in the opening that it's almost unmistakable. Am I alone? As every one else mentions, the bottle is very cute. For $7.99 at TJ Maxx, you could do WAY worse. The opening(to my nose)is bright,luscious,wet gardenia paired with soapy, clean peony and sweet, powdery lilac. Just a hint of sour. After just a few moments,I smell zingy orange and ginger....now reminding me of Betsy Johnson...the one with the crazy, big pink cap. I do smell some musk and woods and they are nice but,combined with the first two layers, it starts to travel into "generic" territory a bit but stays in the general vicinity of fruity/tropical/woodsy musk for the length of stay ( not terribly long) No matter though...as said earlier, one could do much worse, for more money. The box I picked up had a little scratch-n-sniff doo-hicky. It smelled nothing like the juice inside. Not that this is a high quality gem or anything but I often have to remind myself that even though scents sometimes show up at discount stores for prices like these ( under ten bucks!) they weren't originally priced that way...they weren't sold at department store counters for those low, low prices. I will often bypass low-priced perfumes at places like Ross & TJ Maxx because I just assume they must not be that great. I should know better by now..some of my favorites are priced really cheaply. This one is definitely worth the almost eight bucks I spent on it. Try it...you might like it!

I am clearly in the minority as a big fan of Lucky Darling! I sprayed it on at Target and fell instantly in love. This gentle, delicate well-rounded blend of sweet, softly fruity notes has just the right touch of demure floral additions to complete the delightful mix. Like a grown-up sister to Love's Baby Soft, which I adore, The soft fragrance from my spritzes circled around me as I shopped, and I was thrilled that the remaining bottle was still there when I went back to grab it. Speaking of the bottle--absolutely DARLING! Test this beautiful perfume for yourself before dismissing it based on its reported notes and reviews. All Target fragrances are on sale now for Mother's Day if you're reading this in time!

There really isn't anything too special about this fragrance, but it just straight up smells "nice" and I'm all for that. Not cloyingly sweet, not too heady for what it is, just a decent smelling perfume for a good price. I'd buy it for a girl just going into high school, and I really think that's the target audience. Nothing wrong with that. The wisteria note is lovely, and gives me a comfortable, homey feeling.

This fragrance is as boring and to the point as my review. The floral notes in this remind me of the last bouquet left during last minute Valentine's Day shopping (you know the one, with all its funky colored and rather unromantic arrangement). I've found this fragrance to be atypical of the time...vapid...not offensive but forgettable.

I bought this at marshalls a few days ago for $7.99. After wearing it a couple times it hit me that this reminds me quite a bit of Arden Beauty by Elizabeth Arden. To my nose, they are very similar scents. I think they both smell nice and both have good longevity on my skin

Not sure how this one doesn't have honeysuckle listed in the notes. I was looking for something that would match my Bath Body Works honeysuckle body wash and this did the trick. It's VERY fruity and I can't wear it in another season other than summer.

Smells enough like Wonderstruck Enchanted that I can sit this one out.
