Lucky You for Women

If you are interested in a very affordable fragrance with wonderful sillage and longevity--for the spring and summer--look no further than Lucky You Eau de toilette. Lucky You is a very effervescent, happy-go-lucky type of fragrance. It is appropriate for all seasons and all daytime activities. It is fresh, sweet, tropical, and flirty. To my nose, I instantly pick up coconut, even though it is not listed above as one of the notes in this fragrance. Coconut lovers will definitely appreciate Lucky You. Also, the peony adds a wonderful layer of flowery sweetness. The amber and musk mingle together perfectly--making this a nice choice for the woman who likes to be taken seriously, as well as, the woman who plays hard. Today, I have the Edt layered with the Lucky You body mist. The body mist smells differently to me--much lighter and less tropical. Both came in a gift set that I blind bought for a wonderful price. My coworker gave me several compliments on the fragrance and told me to send a picture of it to her phone, so she can purchase it. The price is so affordable, I told her that if I see it before she does, I'll pick it up for her. In my opinion, Lucky You is good for all seasons; it caters to all women in their late teens and older, and is appropriate for all daytime occasions. It is a safe blind buy and very well-formulated. It can be a great signature scent or worn occasionally as a treat. I will definitely repurchase and buy as a gift for others.

🎀Wow I cant believe i never tried this in 2000. I remember the cute vintage ad's for it though in magazines. This is a mysteriously sexy scent but also casual at the same time. It is sharp to the nose and makes my allergies act up just a tad, but i like it lol. On me it smells like Amor Amor by Cacherel. Its like its baby sister but this lasts way longer on my skin.Mysterious and intriguing. I looooove the pink juice and pink peionies. It is a delightful little scent. Very inexpensive on Ebay 13.00 a bottle with lid in box. A steal. I think its a safe scent to wear to work. Not too strong in moderation. A summery day at the beach or night date scent it's versatile. Its definitely kinda soapy and clean. I smell faint grapefruit and lemon in this which makes this scent uplifting. There is a slight muskiness that makes this scent attractive. Very Impressive for woman like me on a budget. It's not offensive at all. I really do love it.🌺 it reminds me of clean dryer sheets once it settles on the skin.

Lucky You is a guilty pleasure. It totally smells like something my high schooler could wear, but I also appreciate it as a light, fun scent for days I might need to rush out for errands and don’t want to use any of my more “serious” stuff. It has that sweet, airy quality that musky florals often do. It allegedly only has one fruit note (grapefruit), but the over all effect is like a fruit cocktail. Like if they turned Capri Sun into a fragrance. (LOL) If you take into consideration that Lucky is a denim brand, the Lucky You fragrance is a pretty fitting representation of the brand. It smells like something you wouldn’t mind pairing with jeans & a t-shirt, a strappy sundress, or shorts w/ a nice blouse. It’s casual, relaxed, and slightly youthful. A great choice for the weekend, especially in the Summer. The only precaution I’d give is that it’s SUPER feminine, so if you lean toward unisex/masculine fragrances, this might not be the one for you.

When I spray this, I am instantly transformed back to the early 2000's as a care free young teenager getting ready to go to a party in the summer time to hang out with my crush. It's kind of sharp at first from the tea leaves and jasmine, but is quickly softened by the amber, peony and woods. I don't get hardly any grapefruit, thankfully, as I'm not a big fan of grapefruit scents. I was surprised to see that in the notes. This is a sweet, soft, woodsy floral, but not too sweet. I still love it to this day and will always keep it around. I have the body mist atm, which will never compare, until I can grab a new bottle. It's very inexpensive for the quality. The body mist is heavier on the jasmine while the edt is much sweeter and prettier. I need to get a new bottle so I can always go back to my happy place. This one is flirty and playful, without being immature. I could honestly see this working for all ages.

I actually love this perfume. Yep, in all it's mainstream-beeper, millennial-reawakening, Y2K angst-buying and tragically youthful optimism; I really like it. Its just friendly and approachable. Despite its price tag nowadays, it really offers a wide range of pleasurable moments, cascading into a well rounded, soft, floral experience. Longevity and sillage compete strongly with designer brand fragrances, and often, I choose this scent to accompany me over other more coveted names. Lucky You stands alone as a fragrance, but also blends well with a wide range of other scents, making this quite a versatile buy. Body heat helps to round and soften the bouquet into a calm sandalwood state of play, and a peaceful amber joy ensues. Humble and dependable, playfully unimposing, soft and effeminate - this deserves to be a staple in any collection.

I just bought my first bottle of this today....blind buy. When looking at the notes and reviews I thought this was a safe bet, it is! It's lovely and I was hooked at first sniff. I immediately thought "where have I smelled this before??" I was wracking my brain trying to figure out if I had owned this before and had just forgotten..Then it hit me...to my nose this smells incredibly similar to the original 2002 version of Body by Victoria. All that sexy powdery soapy clean loveliness. I'm probably mistaken or misremembering. I mean the notes are not that similar and no one else has made any such connection, but that is where my mind/nose has landed and I could not be more happy about my purchase now.

With all the Y2K fashion comeback, I thought I’d review an amazing Y2K scent. Reminds me of middle and high school years, it was so popular in those days. To me, it’s a light floral, slightly soapy but if anything I’ll just say fresh perfume. When you first spritz it you will smell a slight green aquatic note but it’s a musky floral too. I’d say it’s sexy and feminine and any age can wear it, make it your own. This is also a great scent to give as a gift because it’s so easy to wear, I feel like a lot of ladies would be happy to own a bottle. I’m a gourmand/vanilla lover but I also like soft florals and Lucky You is a soft floral that I love. I hope they continue selling it for many years to come.✌🏽

I wore this for a decade, layered with Sun Ripened Raspberry body spray and lotion from Bath & Body Works and never got more compliments than I did with that duo. As others have mentioned, it layers like a dream with fruity forward scents. My husband loved this combo and in my experience, men love it more than women, but I got plenty of compliments from women as well, usually asking what it was. People seemed surprised at the concept of layering or mixing scents. My hub bought me Black Opium years later after they stopped making the raspberry spray and he loves it on me, but I never got the same compliments as I did with Lucky You and the raspberry BBW spray.

I went to eBay to find a sweet deal and found this for less than 13.oo so of course I come str8 here to read the reviews. I ALWAYS start with the oldest to newest. I got to Malegria's review and she said this scent is casual and boring and will not get you noticed. So I was like , ok Malegria what scent will? So I clicked on her profile to see what her signature scent is. Low and behold is Emerude by Coty LOL. I bought that perfume and was pronounced dead with 1 spray that perfume is so offensive. Just goes to show never trust a review. Just saying.

I finally got this perfume again. I’d been holding on with the body spray to tide me over, but now that I have the real thing, I feel like I’m 15 again. Still just as enamored with this ethereal beauty as I was in 2004. Yes, I’m old. And for $18, this babe is hella strong, and it’s an eau de toilette. A pretty little bottle of fairy juice that genuinely brings tears to my eyes. It smells like innocence. Like the color pink. Like every feeling you have as a teenage girl, bottled. This one sits heavy on my heart. I’ll always make sure she has a place in my collection.

I love wearing this to the office because it's very light and fresh. It's inoffensive and not too heavy, even with 3-4 sprays. It smells fresh, floral, and clean like a nice body wash. Lasts for several hours on my clothes. On my skin about 2-3. I will usually use my Lavanila Grapefruit Vanilla rollerball to touch it up later in the day and they work well together. I think this works well for any age, not just very young people. For anyone who wants to smell feminine and fresh. I don't get much musk in this on my skin so I find it's good for the gym.

This is probably my most repurchased frag in my collection. It’s just so easy to wear and goes with literally anything. All weather, clean, fresh, bright...definitely a daytime kinda perfume as it’s not deep or complex in any way, but it’s completely inoffensive and a good office scent. Definitely a great weekend chilling in jeans and a clean white tshirt type of scent. Guys seem to like this one. It’s dirt cheap for a huge 3.4 oz bottle. It comes in a body spray too but who needs it when the EDT is so cheap?

I've worn this for years! It was one of my first perfumes & people always say it reminds them of me. It has become my signature & I still enjoy wearing it. I'm not a fan of florals usually, but this one doesn't scream floral to me?! I will alwaysrepurchase it, it is so inexpensive. I wear this during the day to work & also sometimes on date nights with my husband. So soft & feminine.

I wear many different and generally quite expensive perfumes. I liked the ingredient list of this one and I used to wear Liz Claiborne in the early 90s, so I got this one. I'm so pleased with the fragrance! Floral for sure, but at the end I smell sandalwood and amber which reminds me of something in my past. I feel younger and beautiful while wearing this. I'm 67.

I love this scent. And I never get tires of it. I dont smell many fruits in it. This smells like a floral aquatic to me. Lucky is a strong, yet transparent scent. It is a great t-shirt and jeans scent. I get a lot of compliments on this. I have been wearing it off and on for many years and whenever i come back to it, I have no idea why i ever left it!

Let me just say that this perfume was the BOMB when it first came out. My friend and I wore this one proudly in 2000, 2001. I need to find her and put her in my collection for nostalgia sake. And the men’s version of this is probably some of the best smelling men’s cologne I’ve ever smelled. She’s early ‘00s clean girl for sure.

This is a staple. A classic. Bright citrus up top, a wee smash of flowers and greenery in the middle, and a powdery dusting on the back end. It’s lovely, clean, and BRIGHT. It’s a great spring and summer scent, but it gives me joy with every light spritz, so when I’m down or dragging; it’s practically medicinal for my mood.

A staple!!! If you like dkny be delicious or Versace bright Crystal, this is the affordable scent for you! I try to keep it or the body spray in my collection. It's sexy, fresh, juicy, youthful and playful. I always get compliments on this. I highly recommend it. Lasts for a good night out or most of the work day.

It makes me think of early 2000s and I love it. Soapy for sure. I don't get florals I just get soap and clean. I love it. Bright and easy to wear. Lots of compliments on it likely because everyone my age remembers the good times and going into Buckle not able to afford anything there.

Blast from the past! This was my signature scent in high school before Halston. I love it just as much now as I did then. Musky, woody, substantial for an EDT. It’s a scent you can sink your teeth into and still be hungry because it’s somehow insatiable.

Basically smells like fruity shampoo, but lasts longer than shampoo smell. I got it for a Christmas present from a friend who also loves this perfume. I think it is good if you want to smell clean and fresh without the soap smell.

I’m in love with this perfume! It’s a light, clean, scent that reminds me of spring. The longevity isn’t the greatest, it usually only last about 3 to 4 hours, but the sillage more than makes up for it!

I tested this at a Lucky store yesterday and was quite impressed. It smells clean, powdery and sweet. I actually got 12+ hours out of this one. Pretty good for a clothing store brand perfume!

This is very much an early 2000's Cool Girl scent. Clean, crisp, grapefruit, little bit of peony and woodiness. Perfect for summer, feminine and fresh. :)

Maybe it's just me, but this reminds me a ton of Body by Victoria - clean, like washed skin, warm. It's really nice! A good, casual scent.

I know I'm not the only one confused by Fragrantica's two entries for Lucky You (2000): one from Liz Claiborne, and one from Lucky You Jeans, a brand owned by the branding conglomerate known until recently as Liz Claiborne. Seeing as the listed notes are near-identical, I'll cross-post this review and assume these are one and the same. This is a fairly linear, mildly soapy, clean aquatic floral, with some signature peony musk happening in the background. Right away I'm hit by something that smells like lily of the valley, but a touch more aquatic and green..... mmmm..... water hyacinth! I really like it. What a beautifully simple, fresh and sweet floral scent. There's a bit of extra sweetness from the star jasmine, and no noticeable grapefruit to my nose, though I wouldn't be surprised if a tiny touch of that sparkling citrus contributes to the crispness here. For a floral, this is a little soapy and a lot aquatic. Calone isn't listed in the notes but I know it's in there, with its melon-fresh watery nuance, and there's definitely plenty of it. The soapy quality is thankfully much less than in many other fragrances from this era. Its quality is that of a pleasant mid-to-high-end foaming floral hand soap on display in a pleasant, small, and clean family bathroom. This is much more aquatic than anything I'd usually gravitate towards, but I like how fresh, clean, and slightly green it is in its gentle foamy sweetness. I don't think I'm the kind of person well-suited by this sort of fragrance, and I don't love soapy scents, but I just may have to revisit this one.

AntigoneAscending, I was just thinking the same, this really reminds me of Body by Victoria Secret. I only had the pink body mist and I liked it, received many compliments. That one is very difficult to find and when available the price is outrageous. Why did I never make the connection between both of these scents? Compared the notes, they share a few and those different are along the same lines. This scent was already around when VS Body came out. This was my sister's first favorite scent as well and I am not sure why I always passed on it since it's pleasant. It was never in my radar as a must have till now that I made the connection to VS Body and the fact that I can't get that one. VS Body, the mist, had better silage and longevity than Lucky but Lucky is so inexpensive I can overlook that. I happen to have a small bottle that I bought a while ago just because. Completely forgot about it and stored it away. Recently I put it among my daily rotation scents because why not? It was only today that I sprayed some on realizing I never use it. Then immediately realized this is what I remember VS Body the mist smelling like. I had already added Revivals take on VS Body to my cart, 3.4 oz for $65. Well, I will not be making that purchase. Never bought from Revival BTW but they seem like a good company so I am considering a few purchases from them. My comparison is only off memory, it's been a number of years since I last had VS Body mist. That one wore better on me than Lucky. Nonetheless, for those who really miss that scent, you'll be content with Lucky.

My dad bought this for my mom when I was a little girl and she hated it so she gifted the lotion and bubble bath to me when I was 4 or 5. That being said this is one of my first scent memories, and I really like this perfume. Growing up I always had the body spray version in the little cheapie fragrance gift sets from Walgreens that would come with a body butter, shower gel and a loofah. I’ve just recently gotten the eau de toilette and it’s pretty spot on to the body mists but perhaps a bit more green and oily? It just smells more mature than the body spray but not in a bad way. If I’m being honest this is a nondescript fruity floral that wouldn’t be as special to me if it didn’t have the nostalgic factor. It’s a really pretty scent and one of my favorites but there’s no wow factor to it, but not every scent has to leave you speechless. This is a nice girly scent that would go perfectly with shorts and a lacey tank top. I really like the grapefruit top note and this pairs wonderfully with the body shop grapefruit body butter. Most of my friends like when I wear this and once I got told I smelled like a “nice tanning salon” lol. It’s a generic scent but still a sparkling youthful floral that most people will like, it’s still around for a reason.

The bottle I'm reviewing is a mini parfum, but all I can find online is the EDT. I don't think they are the same, but I'm putting it here. I gave my mom a box of minis to try, and there was a bottle of Lucky You Parfum included. I liked it so my mom said I could keep it. I wore it the week after Christmas. It reminds me more of a spring scent than winter. Floral but not too strong. Has a nice pleasant smell, and one dab on the wrists lasted a long time. It was strong when I first put it on but settled nicely and didn't change at all for almost 24 hours. I could still smell it when putting my wrist to my nose for 3 days even after a few showers! And it lasted on the jacket I wore for about 4 days. This is one of the strongest perfumes I've ever tried. It lasts a long time. I didn't put much on, but I'd be afraid to apply a lot in case the sillage is too strong.

My third fragrance.... the bottle I have now smells so powdery, despite it being described as a floral and fruity fragrance. It's still a blush pink color liquid so I don't believe it's spoiled. My friend can smell the spice of the amber but doesn't pick up any of the floral or fruity notes either. I loved this fragrance, and I remember these ads as well. Still in Seventeen, I loved the magazine sample so much that I bought this at my next trip to the mall. It reminds me of my 9th grade year, my freshman year, my entrance into high school and how grown up it felt to have a perfume that I kept in my purse, spritzing more on between classes. I probably didn't need more and probably walked around those halls smelling way too strong, but that was the vibe. It blended well with my cucumber mellon body wash, sparkling pear lotion and very berry roll-on body glitter.

This is an inexpensive, year round, everyday scent that is fresh and starts out with citrus grapefruit with green notes before becoming a little floral then tapering down to sweet (but not too sweet) amber and musk. I wear this during the day at home and even out running errands. Light and inoffensive as long as you don’t overspray (as with any scent). Longevity is not bad for an eau de toilette (4-6 hours) and sillage is just a couple of feet, which is fine for something worn around the house. I’ve had compliments from people who stopped by when they hugged me. Said I smelled like I just got out the shower. Not a show stopper by any means, but then, not every scent has to be in order to be enjoyed or have a purpose. This does a great job for what I use it for which is just to smell nice, clean, and presentable.

A very simple, feminine perfume. Smells like the color pink as others have said. I think it lasts longer sprayed on clothes in my experience. I first got some of this when one of my summer suitemates in college left it behind at the end of the summer (couldn't take it on the plane) along with some kind of apple body spray I could never find again, and I used to wear them together and got so many compliments on how I smelled. I bought this again when I ran out and it just isn't the same without that apple body spray. I used it with Glossier 'You' before it got reformulated and it was nice, so I'd say it's great for layering or making your clothes ambiently smell good, but on its own it's nothing sophisticated or interesting.

I was looking at the perfume aisle and couldn't decide between this and Violet Eyes so I got both-and the verdict is that I like this and can't stand the VE(sorry Liz).This is a nice,quiet,soft floral.I wish it had more sillage.It's completely unoffensive and on me smells a bit like Ralph.Now-I don't love it as I already have Paris Hilton(which also smells just like Ralph)but I see getting a lot of use out of it all the same.I'm kinda surprised by all the negative reviews as it is such a light,soft scent.Funny as my other choice-Violet Eyes-has excellent reviews and just about made me gag from all the cedar:that one is going back.

This is a great, fresh but floral fragrance with a hint of citrus. This scent was a staple in my daily life when i was in high school and college. Refreshing and light, this is one that makes a great starting point for budding teenage girls who are starting their perfume journey. It's relatively easy to find in the States as it's sold in virtually all major chain department stores and it's particularly perfect for the summer. Not very complex, and it won't last incredibly long if you get the toilette (i think they only sell the toilette). But it's cheap enough that you can easily replace it whenever it runs out.

I wore this in my early twenties when I was a cashier amd made me feel fancy, so that is what it makes me think of... that being said I did and still like it I just don't own it any more. I would give this to someone, a younger person as a present. It's sweet, girly, but not particularly distinctive, althought I will recognize it. To me it smells just like Clean's Skin, got that in a multi pack, Skin is a little more simple and less sweet.

I wore this in college, and liked it. It is a warm and comforting smell. I first picked it up because Lucky You for Men is one of my favorite scents for guys, why not try the women's. What I like is how soft it is. I am not a fan of in your face(nose) fragrances, and can get headaches from them. My husband who was my boyfriend at the time is very sensitive to smells, and gets migraines. This scent never seemed to bother him.

July 2016- had my bottle since its launch. Very inexpensive. My perfume collection is vast and I've spent $300+ on fragrances when I want them. That being said, I like what I like, regardless of price. Lucky is easy and casual. I wear it to the gym or just to hang out. It's light with good projection. It's fresh and clean. When I don't want to "waste" my pricey fragrances, this one fits the bill.

This scent is one that I've had for years. And definitely appropriate for several ages. I love how theres no name you can really give the scent. Its so well balanced and mixed, that sometimes you're left wondering how to pinpoint exactly what you're smelling. While this scent is feminine it is not sickeningly sweet. The underlying musk definitely gives it an allure. One of my all time favorites.

I used to wear this back when I was about 12 , was my fave for so long . I don’t smell powder on me , it slightly reminds me of Marc jacobs daisy , that kind of floral , I don’t really get a lot of musk or amber . All I get is watery floral , it’s a very light scent and I think I’d perfect for younger girls , although I just picked up a bottle recently for old times sake. .

i’m actually surprised by how much i enjoy this! it’s simple, light, and gives me the right amount of 2000s nostalgia. my partner wore the mens version of this for years, so i figured i would try this out since it was cheap enough. such a good value, it lasts surprisingly long considering its price point. i can get about 3-4 hours out of this before refreshing.

To me this is just a nice girly scent when I feel like wearing something sweet. Its not fruity to me. Its more of a creamy vanilla sweet scent. It also smells a little like powder. The notes all seem subtle and mix well. I'd wear this as an everday scent or to a casual dinner. Its more for winter or fall to me. I prefer fresh and fruity scents in the summer.

Such a cute nostalgic fragrance for me. i remember this being one of the first fragrances i was really into when I was a little girl. Floral, clean, fruity, and feminine. I don't remember longevity or sillage obvs, but i remember wearing it to piano recitals and how pleasant it smelled. i just might have to find one on ebay.

lucky you is a perfume-wearer's perfume! this is the kind of scent i think of when i think of a simple, classic perfume- a fresh, inoffensive floral. and very, very different from what i normally wear. but that's ok! it's a great springtime fragrance. plus, simple & inoffensive is good sometimes. it works in this case.

Fresh, somewhat similar to Amor Amor, and my boyfriend gave it to me :). It's slightly sweet and fruity with just a hint of florals. I'm sure lots of people will shy away from this because it's a "drugstore" scent, but it's actually very nice for everyday use in the summer when you don't want something loud and stuffy.

Nice fresh simple citrus scent. The drydown is a very light floral musky mix. It's an un-offending casual daytime scent, refreshing in hot weather. Good for any age. Update: Juicy Couture smells very similar to this one, just slightly sweeter. I think I like this one better and it's way cheaper!
