Honey I Washed The Kids

I'm SOOOO EXCITED!! I'm picking up my bottle tomorrow after finding out it's sold local to me less than an hour away!!! Will post a review after! (11MAY23...lunchtime) Okay...just picked up my 6.7oz bottle in-store. Amazing attendee running the store also, coolest woman I've met in months! I'll be picking up "Vanillary", "Shade", "American Cream" and "Lord of Misrule" in the upcoming weeks...I don't think I can wait until September. Okay, back to the fragrance. This is the most smooth, luscious, decadent and aromatic "HONEY" fragrance that I own!! I previously gave that title to "L'Envol de Cartier-EDT" but THIS is sooooo much smoother!! It has all the same beauty of the honey, but with creamy vanillic notes and a citrus combination that almost smells peachy to me! I'd previously planned to buy a backup bottle of "LDC" but I don't think I'll need to do that. I'll hang onto what I have left in that bottle, but it won't be used anytime soon. I'll be on my "LUSH-HIWTK" kick for the next few weeks and it will be my summertime "Honey" fragrance this year! I sprayed three shots to my chest and one on my wrist and spread it between the two. I'm in the happiest most decadent citrus-honey-vanilla scent bubble!!!! I can pick up a nice earthy note in the background, I don't know what it is...but i love it!! It's grounding the sweetness of the fragrance and bringing it back from "Uber-Gourmand" territory and making it more...mature. I really hope to experience the caramel and toffee notes later in the wear...this will be amazingly perfect if that happens. To start out with this gorgeous HONEY and CITRUS and then to transform to two of the sweetest most decadent gourmand notes later on!?!? This will be about as close to perfect as it comes!! So far, the sillage trail on this fragrance is PHENOMENAL!! I don't know how much it's projecting as I can smell it clearly, but if someone else comments on it I'll update this review. I think that I'll be wearing this, layered of course, with various vanilla and woody fragrances over the next week. I'm definitely in love with this one! 10/10 in every category!! EDIT: (15:24) This layers PERFECTLY with "M.M. - By The Fireplace" !!!! EDIT: (21:54) OMG OMG OMG...Okay, while cuddling tonight, the wife said to me "Omg, what are you wearing...you smell like dessert!!!" You...don't know...how LONG...I've been waiting to hear those words!!! You don't know how many fragrances i've bought to get those words...and FAILED!! I FINALLY HAVE A FRAGRANCE THAT MAKES ME SMELL EDIBLE!!!! 💛💛💛💛💛 WOOHOOOOOO!!!! 💛💛💛💛💛

It has the scent of honey, through and through. From the first spray until after a few days on your clothes in the laundry basket, this perfume presents itself quite evidently. There’s also a presence of green or clean notes in the opening, which is a great contrast from the sweetness of milk and honey. Citrus notes loom somewhere in the background; only a tinge of it is prominent, but it is there, and again, works to dampen the sweetness of honey. This is why despite being heavy on honey, this does not become excessively cloying. I wore this at work, and I had several men come up to me and shower me with compliments. I noticed that, overall, men have more affinity with this perfume than women. And the projection is wickedly long with this one; I leave a trail everywhere I go for hours on end. From the start of my 16-hour shift until I reached home the next morning, people have been noticing the smell. This perfume will undoubtedly garner you all the attention you deserve.

On me, this is a heavy, syrupy fragrance. And when I say heavy, I mean I have to hold my breath after spraying this one! But it is one of my favorites, I love a heavy gourmand. I don't get any of the citrus notes that other folks have mentioned here, on me this is just a rich, caramel and honey heavy scent. I have noticed that Lush's fragrances sometimes irritate my skin and make me feel oily. I try to spray on my clothes or neck only. With about 4-5 sprays, this lasts on me all day. I can even smell it on my clothes the following day, or on my seatbelt in the car. If you're looking for a heavy, sweet, and edible-smelling fragrance, this one is definitely one to try, but I recommend smelling it on yourself first to see if you get more of the citrus or the gourmand.

Probably my favorite Lush scent! I’m a huge fan of the Scrubee. I was so happy when they put out a body spray based on it. I would say Honey I Washed the Kids came pretty dang close to the actual smell of the Scrubee. I would say Scrubee smelled a bit more lactonic, and HIWTK just doesn’t have that factor. It does smell like honey, vanilla, and caramel to me. However, something smells a little sharp and green. It smells more like a field of wildflowers, surrounded by fuzzy honeybees. I thought it would smell more like oatmeal, warm vanilla, and sweet honey. At least, that’s how Scrubee smells to me. I would say HIWTK is a warm vanilla honey scent, but it does have an element of freshness. I do enjoy it.

I absolutely love this scent from Lush. HIWTK has always been my favourite scent range but for some reason I’d never thought to get the spray. It opens with the most gorgeous honey citrus scent that is the closest to the bar soap smell. It dries down slightly powdery whilst still maintaining its fresh and sweet mix. It’s not overly sweet and balances freshness so beautifully, so it’s not cloying in the heat at all. The value for money is incredible as the lasting power is basically the same as an EDP and you get 200ml for under £25! If you love the scent range I would definitely recommend this fragrance.

My favorite scent! Smells like an earl grey tea loaf dessert with a big emphasis on brown sugar with an honey drizzle and robust bergamot leaves. I sprayed the bedroom with 1 spray and my bf came into the room and he said it smells like cookies. For my nose and skin chemistry this is like fresh sweet gourmand. Absolutely love it and wish it came with a perfume option too since this only stays on my skin for about 2 hours. Accidentally got it on my shirt the other day and it lasted over 8 hours. Definitely prefer it on my skin. :) So delightful and will never get over it!

OK, OK, the opening is AWFUL!! Pure honey-essenced yoghurt. (It's not awful for yoghurt, it's just awful for perfume.) If you're patient and can wait 5-10 minutes, that awfulness goes away and you're left with a beautiful, gooey, honey, caramel-y candy that smells divine! It has decent sillage, and great longevity for a body spray. I got a good 4 hours out of it. I'm on hour 5 now and it's a lovely skin scent. I will be buying a full bottle of this, even if the bottle is hideous. Side note: I "accidentally" mixed it with Wulong Cha and it is really beautiful!

I’m obsessed with this scent line from Lush. I was first introduced to it from the Shoot for the Stars body scrub and was addicted. I love how it’s a caramel scent but with a bit of candy fruitiness..almost like a sour patch kid vibe but more rounded and gourmand. I have the Golden Egg body wash, Scrubee, and Soft Couer body bar. They’re all the same scent as the HIWTK body spray. A little goes a long way for sure! I like to spray it on my clothes and hair. Mixes well with Lush Karma on the wrists and behind the ears and HIWTK on clothes and hair

I was first skeptical to purchase this as I tend to stay away from hyped out perfumes but man this is my jam. It combines citrusy!orange note with caramel so deliciously that you smell like sweet toffee.what i also like is that it’s edible,you can layer with another gourmand perfumes. When i spray it in the room,the entire room smells like toffee..and the price? 26€ for 200ml is amazing!!! Btw i also receives a lot compliments from people around me. I was on business dinner and meeting and everyone said i smell good

This one is soo beautiful. I found this scent first after receiving their honey soap in gift box and I completely fall in love with it. It reminds me so much of those gel bath beads that my parents use to buy me all the time when I was a child. It’s sweet but to me also very clean and comforting scent that I love to put on after shower while Im at home. It is pretty linear in my opinion. Longevity is surprisingly good! Silage not so much but if you spray little more people will definitely notice you! It’s yummy! 🥰

This smells so delicious and fun. It’s not necessarily something I’d wear to the office or somewhere I want to be taken seriously. Instead, this is more playful! I never thought that I’d be into gourmandy scents, but wow I love this. I use one spray which makes me smell like something salted caramel/Frappuccino-y at first. The sillage drastically settles down after 30ish minutes (which I prefer, because at first it is enormous) and stays close to me. This is also when the citrus tones come out to play.

I’ve loved Lush Honey I Washed the Kids for years — it’s a real nostalgia scent for me. I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews, because to my nose it’s exactly what it should be. It’s sweet, honey-caramel with a citrus twist that gives it an almost herbal gourmand feel, if that’s a thing. Like all Lush body sprays, it’s incredibly strong, which is perfect for me. An absolute must for anyone who loves a good gourmand and is familiar with the scent. I wouldn't say it's a safe blind buy.

There is no lush store near me so I blind bought this (nervously - some of these reviews are hectic!) but it turns out I love it. I smell milk and honey and indefinable sweetness and love to wear it before bed - a light spray of this and another of Sleepy/Twilight and I sleep sooo well. I already have a backup bottle and have also decanted some into a smaller dark glass spray bottle for when I want less of a drenching and more of a mist, lol. This fragrance makes me happy.

This smells exactly like the shampoo and body wash version, which makes me so happy because I have purchased the shower products in the past and loved them, wishing the scent would last a little longer past shower time. It's essentially a cheaper body mist version of those London fog/earl grey tea kind of perfumes due to the mix of the toffee caramel and citrus notes on here. So if that's a scent you like, this is a good alternative to those.

tried 1 spritz of it in Japan like 9pm before heading back to the hotel, woke up and had to wear the same shirt it still smells moderately, wore it without spraying anything else all day, went out all day since 10am (it was quite rainy/snowy with strong wind) the came back that night still smelling like it although very faintly. don't buy this if you don't want to commit to it, im sure the bottle will last me like 5 years

Such a delicious, mouthwatering true gourmand! Ugh it smells so good! Straight up honey toffee and salted caramel. To me the caramel definitely feels like it would be salted caramel and not the regular kind, there's kind of a salty vibe to it. So cozy and delicious. It smells exactly like the infamous Scrubee at Lush. I think it's perfect for bedtime because it's so rich, comforting and cozy.

Cozy and comforting and nostalgic reminds me of when I was a kid and would go to lush and smell all the soaps and I always liked honey I washed the kids the best this to me smells like white chocolate cookies with lemon and honeycomb i really really love it and wear it moast days and people will ask what im wearing and say you smell so nice I will continue to keep buying this and the soap

Lush Honey I Washed The Kids smells like natural honey with orange and lemon slightly mixed in that accentuates the pinched amount of any animalic aroma from the honey. Sweet honey freshened with citruses. When layered, it compliments both fresh and sweet scents. I love the smell so much more than Sticky Dates and Yog Nog since it's not overpowering and can be used mostly all year round.

There's a very powerful spray on this that leaves you heavily coated in pure caramel and citrus. At first there's an almost butterscotch-y smell with a slight hint of citrus. After a few hours the fragrance balances out, and the mixture of orange and honey is sweet and smooth. A good compliment getter, with strong sillage and decent longevity. Layers well with Soft from Al Rehab.
