Hungarian Fronds

This is my favourite of the new releases. It doesn’t literally smell like green tea but it has the same sort of feel. It’s herbaceous in the same way Green tea is - i.e, not overbearing or too green or too bitter. Imagine green tea with chamomile and a touch of sweetness and you can get an idea of how Hungarian Fronds smells. It’s soothing and calm and smells like a spa. It’s pricy but it performs well and has a beautiful bottle and juice. Edit; I finally worked out what this smells like - a more natural and less screechy version of Fleurs de Lanvin’s Sweet Jasmine! That one gives me a headache but I enjoyed the scent. This is like a refined take on that same profile! Be warned! The fennel here smells like herbs to me but my husband gets vegetables and hates it 😅

Lush is a brand that will experiment and explore, leading to scents you either adore or hate. Fronds is a hit for me. This a floral fennel perfume at the core. Chamomile is definitely at play here to give this scent a very mild natural sweetness. This lasts well and projects nicely also. The only issue I have with this scent is that I have absolutely zero clue where it would be appropriate to wear this. 10/10 scent I will buy if I ever figure out when to wear it.

Came to lush to get acquainted with the brand again (kinda second chance) smelled a lot of things, almost left the shop. Suddenly, my eye caught this beauty. The first sniff- smelled like a herbal tea, combined with a branch of different meadow grasses. then- something relaxing and meditating. It was a love at the first sight. Ended up buying a 5 ml bottle. Unfortunately, our store has just this size

I really want to love this perfume and wear it, but unfortunately we're not made for each other. I adore how complex the scent is and how truly it reminds me of my dear Hungarian meadows in the summer with their air of wild flowers mixed with sun-dried grasses. The scent of chamomile and fennel definitely dominate after the perfume dries down. It's an absolutely long lasting fragrance that remained on my coat after I tested it in my local Lush store in Budapest. There's no way I could ever use a full bottle of 100 mls as if I still eventually decided buying it I'd save this scent only for special occasions.

I love the chamomile and vegetal qualities of the perfume, but there's something savory underneath that I don't quite love. I would really like to smell this one outside the Lush store. I'll give this one another try at some point. People who like Pansy or Time of the Season (like me) may enjoy this perfume. It's weird, but in a way I appreciate.

I adore Hungarian Fronds on paper. Unfortunately for me, the rhododendron oil that's not in the notes but is very much present, loves my skin and overwhelms the heck out of the beautifully herbal-fresh fennel-chamomile combo, so that all I get is stupid headache-inducing rhododendron. Ugh.

i love chamomile but theres only a lil at first, its mostly fennel which is really herbal.

It smells like burnt rubber and cigarettes. Like a hillbillies old rusty Ford truck with a door missing and mold.

It’s so weird to me to see other reviewers describe this as rubbery. But I guess that’s the beauty of fragrance, it can evoke different memories/vibes for everyone. To me this is such a beautiful and unisex herbal tea fragrance that reminds me a lot of The Vert and The Blanc from Bvlgari but with a touch of Lush because well... it’s Lush lol. Think drinking a chamomile green tea blend on the countryside. Very zen and easy going. Really enjoy this one! I hate that they keep releasing fragrances I love that are only available in a large size bottle though.

Honestly? It’s awful. Emma Vincent usually does much much better. It’s some kind of chemical mess that smells like rubber and herbs. If you love the scent of chamomile, skip this one — there’s none of it here. This isn’t a spa, it’s a nightmare come to life. The longevity is practically nonexistent.

used the tester in lush. smells really similar to avocado co wash to me??? in the dry down it's starting to smell like a graham cracker. its growing on me lol

Very strong, spicy and aromatic. Like a bag of dry herbal tea, I love it. Smells vintage, unusual, but cosy.
