Jungle

Evokes images of a hushed, humid jungle: green growing things, sluggish heat, rich damp earth. Probably my favourite use of vetiver in any formula. Vetiver is the most intense note, tempered very nicely by heady ylang ylang and only just grounded by a bit of oakmoss. Unisex but leans masculine, something I wear when I feel restless and predatory. Longevity and silage are moderately high.

@yuri_wal WOW- thank you for mentioning this. I had NO idea. The irony is I've been twiddling my thumbs waiting for the re-release of this as I miss it so much- esp with the conditioner now discontinued. This is what blows my mind about LUSH- they make the dumbest decisions I have ever seen in a company. WHY wouldn't you just name the perfume Jungle if a fan following has already been established for the scent for over TWENTY YEARS. *eye roll*. That's like booking a Taylor Swift concert under her random new name she now wants to go by she made up overnight. Plus... The Jungle name suits it better- it literally has all the photorealistic ingredients of an actual jungle, grass, woods, cypress, florals. NO FRUIT. Its like they do these passive aggressive moves just to be annoying. A bored micromanaging Karen must run the company. Always changing stuff when their forefathers already perfected the legacy. ANYWAY- since this is a fragrance review site- I can't say enough good things about JUNGLE. It's a creative photorealistic blend of fantasy notes that totally give the vibe of being lost in a hot climate in the rain forest. The only thing 'fruity' about it is the sweetness coming from the Ylang Ylang- otherwise its pretty complex and earthy. 5 star scent. 0 star LUSH staff running the kitchen. Hands down complete morons.

When they made the hair conditioner, it was my favorite. Worked perfectly for my hair and just the fragrance from my hair condition became my signature. It's a slightly unusual scent. It really smells like a jungle...herbal, Musky, sexy, and ever so slightly sweet. This has a feral quality to it and always made me feel a little wild and confident. It's not for everyone, but it's so unique. Fun fact: My husband decided to use the last of my Jungle conditioner years back as a body soap! I didn't even get to use it, and then after that one was done, Lush never made Jungle again. I almost died and I'm pretty sure I cried.

Quick note: the recent re-release of this in the Lush Kitchen Box is called 'Tropical Fruit', exact same scent tho.
