New Review 3/3/2026 I think my nose is broken, or maybe my mind. I smelled this at Lush only a couple of months ago, and I found it disgusting and offensive, and even wrote a hateful review of it. But I was brave and curious enough to go to Lush again, and actually spray it this time, and I love it. I understand the hype now... I think that this is the first 'divisive' or 'challenging' fragrance that I read extensive reviews upon before buying, and it altered my perception of it in some unfortunate way. I love jasmine in perfumery, I love jasmine tea as a drink, but I HATE the smell of sweat and body odor, and those seem to be the main comparisons given when people negatively review this scent. So this had a 50-50 chance of being a new favorite for me, or being something I find absolutely foul. And the first time I smelled it, unfortunately, it was the latter. In reality, it is a sugary jasmine and ylang-ylang combo with what may be the best longevity of any fragrance I've ever used. It gets sweeter the longer you wear it. I really love it. I feel pretty when I wear it, I feel like a star. I don't understand why this smelled so bad to me at first. But, honestly, I don't understand the advertising and branding of it either. It's not a delicate or childish fragrance by any means, but 'primal,' 'carnal,' and 'dirty' do not describe it at all to me... Even 'Lust' as a name feels unfitting. It's floral, mature, slightly 'fruity' or 'tropical.' I feel more inclined to call it 'sugary' than sweet. It's almost like jasmine tea with sugar cubes in it, but it does not actually smell like a food or drink, and there isn't a hint of tea leaf in it. It's whatever I smell and taste in a sugar cube besides the sweetness, oddly. It also has a little 'rotting flowers' element to it that makes it lean more towards smelling like a decaying old bouquet to me, and I love it that about it, too. I really don't understand why people on the internet want to fuck this perfume so bad... I think seeing people say so many strange things about this made me go into it expecting that I would dislike it... And I think that, after smelling it, seeing it as overrated, and seeing that it elicits bizarre, over-exaggerated responses, I hated it more than I would have otherwise... Unfortunate, but true. I don't want it to happen again, and hopefully it doesn't, but such is life... Overall, I appreciate the journey this scent took me on, and I do like that it made me reexamine my tastes in some way. I think it smells amazing, and hopefully, when I buy it, I will get a batch that smells like sweet flowers instead of bodily fluids.

What can I say about this perfume. It is the love of my life when it comes to beauty products. I have three full bottles and a small one. Safe safe safe backups. I never want to run out especially as I hear they’ve toned it down on its original character to make it more palatable to the gourmand mass market. What a shame. Lush if you are reading this, don’t butcher a classic. The gourmand girlies or the floral folks will always find the next pretty floral or the next sweet perfume. But those who love Lust for what it has been - a potent beast that stains clothes, divides people and refuses to quit - will never abandon this scent. It is for the loyal lovers of the perfume so I hope these reformulation rumours are rumours and if not then lush you are making a huge mistake. The loyal followers will leave. Now coming to this perfume. Imagine a warm spring night in India. The air is ripe with jasmine flowers draped all over a large luxurious garden, trails and plants and everything everywhere. Something out of a fairy tale. Morning come, the sky is blue but wet - in a golden cauldron cold water is filled. Ripe, on the verge of dropping from the tree kind of ripe jasmine flowers are collected by the handful and in the cold water they float. The heady juice of the white flower is released from its body by the water, wafting into the air. The water itself, is a little yang ylang and sandalwood sweetness in it. Maybe there is a drop of that essence someone’s dropped inside. The air is ripe with possibility, tranquility and lust all at once. This is in my top 3 fragrances of all time and if I had to empty out my fragrance collection, which is vast, this is the only thing I would keep. A masterpiece. Just gorgeous. Those yellow florals and that sweetness from the other notes is done so perfectly, that they seem to be doing nothing but elevating the jasmine. What a symphony. 10/10

My bottle of Lush LUST came in today! So happy. And, after several sprays, I'm really surprised at some of the reviews here which describe this scent as "dirty", "slutty", "carnal", or "animalic" or even "sexy". This isn't (intrinsically) a sexpot fragrance at all, if you are familiar with how natural floral EO's smell. No, all this scent is, is just a very natural-smelling floral... that's it! No skank, no gamy-ness, no civet, no naughty knickers, no cumin, nada... Just a brilliant confluence of late-spring floralcy, with a tart, frilly jasmine as its star. (I was expecting this scent to be laden with naughty nuances, like, say, Akro NIGHT, with its brazen "inner thigh" notes.) More than ylang-ylang or rose, I'm getting yellow flowers, like mimosa or limette/linden as support to the jasmine. The opening spritz contains a brief moment of bergamot, orange flower and possibly petitgrain... but they are there just as refreshing topnote moments... they disappear almost immediately. I'm getting a faint phantom nuance of something aromatic... maybe a clean menthol? which acts as a stimulating foil to the floral bouquet. All extremely natural-smelling; in fact, LUST reminds me of, say, a Hiram Greene floral, woven entirely out of natural EO's. Sillage is, to me, discreet, not boomy at all. The long drydown period of LUST is gorgeous, too: never turning sour or cloying; it's only in farthest drydown that one perceives what might be a hint of vanilla, in her floral/orchid-y guise. In composition, LUST makes me think: If Mugler ALIEN were blended with all-nats, it would smell like this. LUST is a gorgeous scent, surely leaning feminine, of course, and I would not hesitate to give a flacon of LUST to my 11-year-old niece... that's how vernal and innocent this perfume reads to me. But I will wear it too... as a gentle reminder of springtime. Highly recommended.

This was the first fragrance I ever bought with my own money and wore regularly. My mom loved it so much that I bought another one for her birthday, and now our house always smells gorgeous. I have only tried the solid version, but it is worthwhile purchases. I believe I purchase it for around $12, and even though it comes in a small tin, it is extremely potent and lasts forever. I consider this the crème de la crème of pure, concentrated, jasmine. It is not a clean, palatable take on white florals. This is the real deal, love-me-or-hate-me jasmine: sweet, sexy, skanky, indolic, and quite dirty. If you have only smelled cleaner, less potent versions of jasmine like Chanel's Gabrielle, Beauty by Calvin Klein, or Demeter's Jasmine, you may be surprised or even offended by this beauty. It's rather ironic how flowers are considered the scent of freshness, of petal-white pureness, or cleanliness, and yet a pure floral scent like this screams sex and dirtiness (the good, Christina Aguilera type of dirrty). In reality, flowers are diverse and many, especially white florals, can be cloying and indolic. But I find it fascinating that flowers can be so multifaceted. Even a supposedly single-note scent can be composed of so many different notes and molecules. Within this jasmine, there's an almost earthy tea-like note. Some people have complained about something excessively sweet in this fragrance, which is the banana candy scented molecule benzyl acetate, found in white florals like jasmine. Growing up around jasmine flowers, I can attest that this scent is 100% accurate, a hyperrealistic, skanky, jasmine with the scent amped up to a psychedelic level. If you love real jasmine, you'll love this scent. If you hate real jasmine, you'll hate this scent. But for fans, this stuff is sex in a bottle.

Over the last month I have found two perfumes that cost me pennies but that are so beautiful they make me choke up with joy! Tea Rose by Perfumers Workshop - the greatest rose soliflore ever made and Lush Lust which is the Jasmine I've been yearning for for years. Tea Rose is pure and innocent but Lust has found her g-spot and then some! For me she is pretty linear, a punch in the face of deep, indolic jasmine and this is the first fragrance that lasted 36 hours on my skin even though a shower! Where Tea Rose leaves little love letters in your jacket pocket swearing undying love forever, Lust rakes your back with her nails and your buttocks as she pulls you inside of her. She doesn't promise eternal love, shes yours until you can no longer keep up and she will leave you grieving forever and wishing you could have died between her thighs, your flesh bleeding out from her talons. Nobody will ever know about Tea Rose as you go about your business but her scent will remind you of her innocence when you catch the breeze. But everyone will give you the side eye and whisper after your tryst with Lust, and you won't be able to sit comfortably or lie flat in bed until your scars heal. Lust layers well with leathery fragrances, like a good quality Papua NG Oud and will take the kink to a whole new level. Outstanding stuff, cost me £30 off ebay for a 100ml bottle but if you do go there she will mark you so I suggest apply on skin and wait for the full dry down before getting dressed, or wear dark clothing.

Firstly - I’m a man. Male. Well I might be a gay male, but still consider myself on a masculine side of things. I was not really familiar with the smell of jasmin a) being a lady floral and b) not really a proliferate flower in where I’m from. I just randomly smelled Lust in Lush store and I was absolutely blown away. This is so raw, kinky, dirty and unbelievably sexy. All the male/female categories aside, all that “what is meant for whom” bs thrown away, I cannot understand why more men (hetero) do not wear this - it is floral, OK, but rather dirty, animalic and impeccably sexy. I can get it why you ladies like it and why guys are all over it - because it works! Do we wear fragrances to enjoy it ourselves or to make ourselves attractive to others? Million dollar question. I count myself into the first category (and when it ticks the latter box, well, I do not mind). I love this scent and it really works as aphrodisiac on me. Jasmin soliflower - definitely not for office or in any settings that do not expect you to dress naked at certain moment in time. This is sex bottled and it should be used that way. I would certainly enjoy it on my partner and will happily apply it myself! Well, you guys out there who fancy it, but are still afraid to come out, just buy it for your lady/wife/significant other and keep sniffing;-)

Oh my god.. this is to die for. I've smelt this before at Lush for the past few years, and while it smelt good, I never got to understand the sheer beauty of it until last night. I was at a busy mall with my friend right before closing, and the huge lush store was empty. Mind you, I have NEVER seen an empty lush store. Me and my friend had the chance to go around and smell whatever we wanted without all of the overstimulation paired with the combining scents and bustling noise. I decided to spray Lord of Misrule, as I had a friend who wore it in highschool and I liked it. But, it was too peppery for me. Next, I sprayed Lust. And, god, this is perfect. My friend had snagged more purchases from other stores and I was walking out empty handed. I decided to grab a bottle because I didn't want my friend to feel bad about me not having anything. I am SO GLAD I did. This is a very different scent. It's so beautiful, and I think I plan on using this as my every day from now on. I have never smelt this on someone else. It's most definitely something that will get you noticed. So sugary, and floral, but in a mature sense.. I can't stop smelling my wrists 😩 this causes my olfactory bulb to conjure up some Lust, that's for certain

One of my favorite perfumes lately. For me, this perfume is very sexy, even slutty, I would say 🫦 I have received many compliments for it. Especially from women. the fragrance is suuuuuper attractive for girls. Very wlw vibe 💋 Men also gave compliments, but only those who already had experience with parfumerie. My boyfriend loves this scent. Men with less developed noses didn't appreciate it 👁️👄👁️ At first spray, the perfume seems very heavy. When I first applied it, I was immediately knocked off my feet by the ylang-ylang. But within a short time, this sharp first note dissipates and the fragrance remains beautiful, very bright and sweetly jasmine. Throughout the day, it has a delicate sweet jasmine trail and remains on clothing forever, until it is washed. I am usually afraid of jasmine notes - they often leave very fecal reminders in different fragrances. But here, because the jasmine leans towards the sweet side, my fear was not confirmed. To be honest, I'm very bad at following perfume etiquette, so I wear it at any time of the day, but of course, the amount I spray varies depending on the situation. In winter especially sexy!

I have quite literally never fallen in love with a fragrance so quick in my life. Absolutely gorgeous carnal pure jasmine. It IS a tad heavy on the ylang-ylang in the beginning, but once your skin heat mixes with it, that sweet, jammy, just perfect jasmine, rose, and sandalwood are all that's left behind. Great longevity and sillage, can be sensed from several feet away and lasts pretty much all day. Perfect for any season and any time of day. Plain, but cutesy bottle, decent atomizer, and such a gorgeous rouge hue to the fragrance itself. People say it stains clothes but it hasn't affected even my whitest of white tops. If that's become an issue for you, try spraying from further away! Layers beautifully with other sandalwood fragrances (Woody Sandalwood - Dossier) and more ambery, rose-forward scents (Rapture - VS), I'd love to try it with a non-gourmand vanilla to help bring that note out more, and maybe even some more dark wintery notes when the season comes, like incense, tobacco, booze, and whatnot. Such a perfect rendition of my favorite floral, could see myself repurchasing this forever and ever. Indisputable 10/10!

I HAVE BEEN RUINED. Moth balls, morning breath, paint thinners, gasoline and dying jasmine - I've smelt it all in this one. Currently I'm getting wet metal. Like that uncomfortable feeling you got when you were little and licked a battery (just me?). Unfortunately, along the way, I became addicted and now its practically all I wear. Seriously. I decide its time for a break (for my sanity and the sanity of others), spray on something else and then immediately regret it because it is time wasted on a mediocre smell when I could be smelling like...Lust. I think my problem is that it is uncomplicated and uncompromising. Every other scent I try now smells fussy and restrained. Turns out my OCD doesn't appreciate a gentle unfurling of well-blended notes - it wants to be beaten around the head by a bouquet of jasmine and barbed wire. I have no hesitation bathing in this and then going to the office - it makes me feel strong and dangerous and if it offends your genteel sensibilities...walk away. I'm going to stop now, because I could write an essay on this and no one needs that.

Beautifully intense. _______________________________________________ This is an amazing narcotic jasmine fragrance with a deep and rich profile. It feels passionate in a raw, erotic way. Instead of playfully romantic, it's dirty and sexy. Like catching your breath during a sweaty tumble with an acquaintance. Like a gentle succubus embracing your body with hers. It opens a bit bright with the strong ylang-ylang (something I would consider a LUSH signature) but becomes this brisk yet warm jasmine fragrance that feels like sensual skin with facets of vanilla and jammy rose. (another LUSH signature) I've had people I know comment this smells "strange", it is peak indolic jasmine which isn't for everyone, but it's a perfect jasmine scent for me. I think this fragrance works well for all types of weather but is at its best in cooler temperatures. It doesn't turn cloying despite how heavy and powdery this fragrance is but its longevity is at its best in colder weather. I think this smells enticing, alurring and lustful just like the name. 10/10 ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Sampled on skin, I must be bodychem blessed (or cursed?) because this is not skanky or filthy or anything like that at all. It’s a light, balmy, PURE and REAL JASMINE. The scent feels “light” (if that makes sense) but the performance is strong This thang can projecttttt and last omg. #NEEDTHAT. Quick edit: Ohh I just read the other reviews, Sooo it has been reformulated to be more crowdpleasing. Well I can confirm, at least on my skin. Yeah when I sampled I was a lil miffed it wasn’t a bit skanky cuz I was wanting a carnal/seductive (and honestly, slutty) scent... But anyhow, if you evaluate it as a fragrance on its own, it’s real nice! Simple but highly effective, signature scent worthy, and just beautiful. I want it! Oh yeah also I accidentally layered this with Kayali Musk Matcha the day after sampling because Lust just happens to really lasts on both skin and clothes... such a beautiful scent omg it’s a matcha jasmine tea latte

Such a good scent for summer. This was the first semi-expensive perfume that I actually committed to buying a full bottle of. It smells like spending a long and sweaty summer day running around outside with a new lover, only heading home to languidly roll around in your bedroom together when evening finally hits. Maybe the window is cracked open and the smell of the neighbors' flowers from down the street waft in while you kiss. To me it feels more so light, playful, and teasing rather than hot and heavy like other people have described. like knowing glances and a sense of familiarity with someone as opposed to the act of sex itself. I have definitely made the mistake of spraying a little too much of this and getting a pounding jasmine flavored headache so a little goes a long way. All and all love it and I don't care that people say it's too horny to wear every day. that is nottt my problem.

This is the first fragrance I've ever purchased as a full size and consider it perfectly wearable daily; it's very long-lasting so I just don't spray as much as other scents, but anyone leaning in for a hug always comments on how good I smell and I hope the scent of jasmine triggers memories of me forever (hahaha!). The jasmine is pure and intense but the florals aren't sickly (as someone who often finds florals and fruit headache-inducing), but deep and warm and sexy. The scent really doesn't change as it wears, which I adore. It's unbelievably addicting and though I've been wearing it for years I still can't get enough. This is what got me into fragrance in the first place and I can't see myself ever tiring of it (also-- I had the opportunity to experience a real dirty jasmine and the fecal note is inescapable. I have neverrrrrr gotten that scent out of Lust).

Old Review 1/15/2026 I smelled this at Lush out of curiosity and I was disgusted and confused. It genuinely smells like dehydrated breath or menstrual blood or something. Old flowers that someone rubbed their sweat on. I can't pinpoint what it is, but it is very human in a bad way. Amniotic fluid probably smells like this. I don't know how any flower or plant could produce this smell. Maybe a Bradford pear blossom or something. Just sickly and gross. Made to attract blowflies and not humans. If I smelled someone with this on in the wild, I would assume they are sick or injured, not that this was a perfume they paid money for and applied intentionally. I love jasmine normally, but I don't know what's going on here. "Horrid and strange to the point of being a fascinating curiosity" is the best way I can describe this. I would not pay money for it.

The sluttiest fragrence in existance somehow made classy by the right person wearing it. A year or so ago, I was revolted with this scent, but now I'm enchanted by it. A friend of mine spritzed it on herself in-store in the mid-afternoon and it lasted into the night at least. It's hypnotic in its scent trail and is *profound* up close. It conjures feelings of desire and possession. I wanted to grab her and hold her shoulder to my nose. On her, it wasn't as sexual as it is on the test-strip, which probably has to do with a mixture of her personal skin chemistry and her general attitude as a person (she is a very cutesy woman). The sexuality and animality of it would probably come out on me, who is much less compact and much less cutesy. I'd still wear it because I appreciate smelling like an animal in heat laying in a bed of Jasmine flowers.

Blind-bought this absolute orgasm-inducing essence of godhood online, looking forward to smelling like a manwhore, after the promise of jasmine, sandalwood and rose notes lured me in. When I finally had the bottle in my hands and took a quick whiff of it, the scent almost made me spiritually high-five all sex gods from all religions ever, right there, right then, and I knew this was going to be a good one. Wearing it is like drinking strong jasmine tea while you're massaging someone with rose-scented oil in a bedroom lit by red candles, with Scorn by Portishead playing in the background. It's strong, narcotic to a degree that's dangerous for the general public. The longer you wear it, the sweeter it smells and the more you notice the rose and the better it gets. Ate, left no crumbs, slayed harder than the guillotine and made me its slave.

I've got a current formula and see no issues with it at all. It's Hella strong. I've owned the old black bottle version, the one with the lady on it and now the current formula, along with the little metal solid and the original push up solid. I'm not sure I'd say there was much difference between my liquid formulations except that maybe the original black bottle was a touch sweeter. Am I wrong? Strangely, when I smelled it store I really did think the current one was weaker, but having it here at home it smells the same, I'm sure. Pretty damn potent and pretty damn lush. Side note - does anybody know if LUSH are willing to provide lids for free? I need a new one! 😂 Oh hey, just noticed that the latest doesn't leave red all over me...! Or will it eventually after a while? Uh... Oh...

If Perris Monte Carlo Jasmin de Pays is symphonic, Lush Lust is punk rock. While both are unabashedly indolic, Lust breaks all the rules and gives the finger to the establishment. A balls to the wall jasmine, it opts to hide no blemishes or aberrations, annunciating the burned rubber and petrol-like facets of jasmine absolute, accompanied by overripe, mushed-up banana peel ylang-ylang. It smells sweet, sweaty, a little filthy, and it's got a bit of urban grit to it. This is a jasmine that rebelled against its parents, grew a rooster mohawk, died its dayglo pink, blares X-Ray Spex and the Buzzcocks from a beat up Subaru, and just couldn't care less. Messy and sexy, it's something to wear to a smoky bar not only to smell like sin, but to cover the odor of spilled Pabst Blue Ribbon.

1 or 2 sprays of the luscious, heady Lust and you will feel divine and seductive. More than that and you'll be coughing and hit with a sudden headache. The solid is slightly softer smelling and more tame, but it doesn't last as long, and half of it goes up my nails as my finger tries to dig it out of the tiny container. So I find a gentle spray works best for this hypnotic, gorgeous jasmine scent. Treat it like a controlled substance, and you can tame it into the most beautiful version of itself which will last you all day and make you feel like an utter goddess. Ps. To create a softer romantic version of this perfume (while keeping the saucy edge) I find the Lust solid layers wonderfully with perfumes like Suave Petals by The Merchant of Venice or Narciso Rodriguez For Her 💐
