No Way To Say Goodbye

I'll be honest---I didn't really love this one at first but the tart blackcurrent grew on me. I decided to get the solid because, at least in the store, I didn't notice a difference between the solid and liquid. Even though Fragrantica's accords list the solid as being more rose heavy, I don't think that's the case. I'm really not a rose fan, so don't let it scare you away if you aren't either, because you might be pleasantly surprised.

Gonna go out on a limb here and say something controversial yet brave — you know when you’ve got a polyester shirt that’s kind of cheap and it just absorbs every smell that meets it over time? I’m talking about like a Cato / Maurices / strip mall kind of shirt that’s very stretchy, usually business casual. The armpits pick up your deodorant and the neckline picks up your shampoo and the shirt altogether picks up your perfume? Yes. That’s what this smells like. It’s sweet, a little citrusy, and has that under-currant (hehehehe play on words) of blackcurrant that’s a little stinky, kind of like the armpit of that very same polyester shirt. It might sound unappealing to you, but to me, there’s something about it that reminds me of my mom in the 2000s. Really plays well on the skin but is not as appealing on clothing or paper, which is why I bought the solid!

this reminds me of the purple part of the fruit pastilles ice lollys. its very fresh and smells just like blackcurrant, but i cant smell any rose. the smell doesn't last very long, but the solid is good to reapply throughout the day!

I am actually quite amused by this scent. I can't say I completely like it, but there is something about this that is quite unlike anything else. If I had to say what this smells like I'd say - and this is crazy talking - it smells like a clean, scented erasor. Like the one you used in school to remove your pen scribbles, the rubber one. That being said, it doesn't smell like rubber. The closest smell I can pinpoint it to is a minty rose - which is quite a rare scent combination, as far as I'm aware. I like it - it's novel, easy to like, a bit weird, a bit fresh, a bit floral, a bit fruity in the blackberry sense. Frankly, it's a very decent spring and summer perfume, and I think it would be quite unique and memorable. There is something about it that is quite unique. I gather it's the minty rose. I prefer the solid.

No Way To Say Goodbye hits my skin with this unexpected mix that instantly reminds me of Ribena stirred into milk: creamy, fruity, a little nostalgic and strangely addictive. It shouldn’t work but it does, and there’s something quietly sexy about that soft berry‐cream haze. The solid format keeps it close and subtle, more of a warm aura than a full projection. It doesn’t shout; it hums. Pleasant, comforting and a little flirtatious, but definitely not as strong or long‐lasting as the perfume cylinder. A creamy‐berry whisper of a scent: unusual, intimate and surprisingly alluring.

Kinda toooo sweet for me when I tested on paper. Maybe I just don't have a great association with sweet sweet blackcurrant because that's the scent of the air freshener I use in the bathroom hahaha

Whenever I put this on, it's like getting punched in the nose. However, once it's settled a little, it's like being wrapped in a gorgeous piece of purple silk.
