Orange Blossom

I'm in love with it. It's "orange" like orange blossom all over!! it's soooo special, I just love, love, love it!! First sprits is harsh with a neroli blast and lots of green notes. After a while it settels down and the scent becomes delicious........ The orange blossom starts coming out with a white floral heart.... getting stronger and creamier with a honey dry-down, but whith a lightly woodsy feeling. It's very creamyfresh and feminin! I absolutely ADORE it! This is pure bliss :)) One of my favorite from Lush along with Karma, Love, 25:43 and Ginger... by the way... I love most everything from Lush :)) Jag äääälskar denna doften. Den är "orange" som apelsinblomma i all oändlighet! Den är sååå speciellt, jag bara älskar, älskar, älskar den! Första spritzen är skarp med massor av neroli och gröna noter. Efter ett tag lugnar den sig och doften utvecklas till en läckerbit........ Apelsinblomma börjar framträda tillsammans med ett hjärta av andra vita blommor .... Doften blir mer och mer kraftfullare i sin karaktär samtidigt som den blir krämigare med inslag honung, tillsammans med en luftig träig känsla. Doften är mycket krämigt fräsch och feminin! Jag fullkomligt älskar den! Detta är ren lycka :)) En av mina favoriter från Lush, tillsammans med Karma, Love, 25:43 och Ginger... för övrigt äääälskar jag det mesta från Lush.

*edit* YES! Lush Canada has brought this back and I picked it up. I have yet to do a full day wear test to see if this changed at all from the previous formula. However at first smell, it seems to be the same! I am ecstatic! ————— Omg, I can not agree more with Konga5000, sell this in North America!! I am rationing out the last few drops I have of this amazing scent. To me this is a bright and woody orange blossom. I am a bit confused by comparisons with Occitane’s Neroli & Orchide, as I find that perfume to be soft and feminine; but Lush’s Orange Blossom, although still feminine, is much more of an outdoors, rugged feminine. I have purchased so many other orange blossom scents, including the Occitane, Jo Malone, Serge Lutens, etc to try and find something to replace this one once it runs out, but nothing comes close. I have even tried to mix my own with EO’s of Sweet Orange, Bitter Orange, Ylang Ylang, Rosewood and Sandalwood and have found a combination that brings me closer to Lush’s scent but still not the same *sigh*

This is a honeyed, beautiful orange blossom with depth, smelling like it should be far more expensive than what it is. The ylang ylang and beeswax alongside the neroli and orange flower create a very authentic orange blossom rendering that smells very natural. Amazingly, it also LASTS on me, so I'm surprised at the mediocre performance ratings. I wore this to bed and caught whiffs of it in the morning, so it is one of the few orange blossom perfumes I've found that sticks around! Orange blossom is one of my all time favorite white florals, but I often find o.b. centric perfumes to be too linear, dull, and just uninspired. Lush's Orange Blossom is complex and wonderful, and one of my top three favorite O.B. perfumes, the others being Serge's Fleurs d'Oranger and the unbelievably gorgeous Sonoma Scent Studio's Jour Ensoleillé (if you love orange blossom, check them out!!). Lush's O.B. is a great everyday, affordable option. Another excellent offering from LUSH!

The best orange blossom I've smelled so far. This beats Fragonard Fleur d'Oranger by far. This one is a more mellow and soft orange blossom. The opening is still "soapy" but it quickly becomes a blend of white florals and some discrete honey. The dry down is something else though. On my skin this reminds me a field of clovers... you know those that are sweet and purple in colour. This is it. I grew up in a northern place so I remember the smell of clover fields and not orange blossom... hence the association maybe. I think this is because of the honey which adds some fresh sweetness to the composition. I own the vintage one (small black bottle). I will test the new bottle to verify it still smells the same. Longevity is poor though. 3 hours on my skin :( but for such a realistic perfume I'm not so disappointed. Better when sprayed in my hair.

Orange Blossom is a beautiful perfume, but I think I'm also kind of biased as a white floral freak who also loves waxy citrus. Due to the heavy florals and not being especially sweet, Orange Blossom does lean soapy and a little old fashioned, but I think these also add a touch of sophistication to the frag. The sharp citrusy top notes also have good staying power and sillage, at least on my skin. I think this is precisely because of the florals which also give Orange Blossom its soapy qualities. This frag is also surprisingly versatile and good for layering. I've worn Orange Blossom as an office scent and it still comes across as professional despite being a little bold, and I can easily see wearing this for a night out, especially in warmer weather. As usual, Lush knows what they're doing with the white florals.

This is a wonderful fragrance for the summer. I have a sample size of the fragrance oil and a solid, which I like to keep in my purse. Applied from the solid, Orange Blossom is a gorgeous skin scent with minimal sillage. It lasts, but people have to be hugging you to smell it. I still catch nice whiffs of it throughout the day as I go about my business. Applied from a fragrance oil (and I'm assuming the spray), the scent is strong enough to waft around pleasantly. Orange Blossom is mostly neroli and orange blossom, with a soft dry down of creamy sandalwood and honey. Of Lush's offerings, I can imagine that this one, and Vanillary, would be the easiest to like. If you've stayed away from Lush stores in the past, I'd really suggest at least going in and giving these a try on your skin.

I lived on a Greek Island for a year and the street right outside my apartment was lined with orange trees which in the early spring came into full blossom. It was heavenly. I would walk out the door and find myself under a cover of white blooms and the intoxicating, divine scent of orange blossom surrounded me from all sides - it was like having your senses and energy field anointed and blessed. If you love orange blossom, which to me has always been the most masculine of flowers scent wise, you will love this. This is the most realistic orange blossom I have found in a bottle. In this era of plasticky, flat, one note perfumes Orange Blossom, and Lush scents in general, give you the analogue pleasure you instinctively crave in a scent. Divine.

This is another great fragrance from Lush. It's totally unisex and like a fresher, brighter sister to Hairdresser's Husband. It's definitely a perfect spring-summer fragrance and shines in warmer weather - it opens up very green but the more it settles, the sweeter and fresher it becomes. The longevity is excellent (sampled on Saturday, was still lingering by Sunday evening) and the projection again is fantastic. This is unique but in a positive way, not offputting at all and will turn heads. I love this and went back to buy the full bottle today. My only complaint (but not really a complaint) is that I'm surprised at the price of some of Lush's fragrances, although I can't really whinge with the performance and they smell soooooo good.

One of the best mediterranean scents ever made. I grew up in southern france and for some reason, this just immediately evokes the smell of the warm-summer-by-the-sea air. It’s not salty not particularly sweet, not incredibly layered and constantly unfolding. It’s simple and accomplished. I sense the sun, the naps, i can hear the crickets. The peace of the holidays, looking tan, a deap breath on my balcony, looking at the stars. It’s a smell of family and freedom, that accompanies you through the day, never overbearing but always pushing you forward. I get reminded of how good life is. Just so light, peaceful and sensual. Uncomparable !

Possibly Lush's greatest perfume of all time (in my humble, neroli/ orange blossom/ honey/ white floral/ woody-loving opinion)... I wish they would bring this back more than anything. This is summer in a bottle, and layered with Big genuinely smells like a morning spent on a beach somewhere comfortably warm and sunny with salty air in your face. It's sweet, herbal and rich but not at all overwhelming. The sillage is enormous and it will last to the end of eternity until you wash it off. It's absolutely stunning and seriously rivals more expensive, more niche fragrances in both performance and overall excellence.

The first time I smelled this it was very strong and off putting. After I left Lush and drove home I kept catching whiffs of something soapy and pretty, it was this! It is now my signature scent. At first spray you get a very strong, green, and bitter neroli. As the scent blooms on the skin it becomes soapy, clean, powdery. The orange blossom comes in full effect and it is gorgeous!! The smell definitely dances on your skin and becomes sweet and soft like petals. I love this scent so much I don’t care that it’s December it makes me happy when I wear it. I definitely recommend it!

Lush orange blossom is what started me in my recent fragrance journey. I bought this on a whim a decade ago probably on sale and tuck it in my drawer. A decade later, i am on a project pan mission and found this going through my drawer. I love it so much. i started a mission to replace this scent when i ran out. Lush orange blossom scent is beautiful, leaning a tad unisex, a little gritty, heady orange blossom but it leaves an intoxicating trail.

I can't write a sensible review of this. I do not love it. I absolutely ADORE it! Besides having the juice, i have the solid version in a tube which i keep in my purse. I love the bright and cheerful opening, i love the orange blossom and white floral heart, i love the sandalwood and honey dry-down. This is not a linear scent, but it projects orange blossom throughout its life, and on me it lasts many many hours. This is pure bliss!

One of the best and 'purest' orange blossom fragrances, despite having other notes distinguishable to the the nose. Classic, and a must for the first beach-warm days of spring. I miss this one so much now that I've drained my decant, I really wish Lush would bring her back, the closest I can find is Demeter's Orange Blossom, which is candy sweet while this one is powdery and warm from the beeswax.

I love this one! This is an orange blossom and neroli BOMB. Never smelled a longer lasting, stronger orange blossom fragrance. This isn't your typical OB frag though. This isn't "fresh, light and breezy", No, this is dirty vintage and animalic, but in the best way. To me, the orange blossom and neroli got the same treatment that jasmine got in Lust! DEFINITELY not for everyone, but excellent!

Beautiful. Straight up orange blossom. (No cat pee lol) Smells almost identical to the orange blossom water sold in Italy and France - but with a little dose of honey. Pure orange blossom soliflore all throughout the wear. Great lasting power for a soliflore imo. The honey comes out later and softens the brightness of the orange blossom a bit.

I have half a stick left of this which I am jealously guarding. I love it so much! There's the initial hit of orange blossoms, but a really good solid sandalwood base. It also throws in a bit of honey. It's a really lovely summer scent, reminiscent of old style sun tan lotion. I'm devastated that this has been discontinued.

Bitter-green zested orange peel (actually neroli). Sweet orange blossom. Bitter, woody depth. A bit of powderiness, maybe brought on by the zested orange peel effect. More rough, deep and herbally bitter-sweet compared to the bubblegummy sweetness of Panier Des Sens Fleur d’Oranger. Gorgeous and mature.

(Review for the solid stick.) Very wearable and pleasant. A strong lifelike orange blossom scent, dry rather than sweet, with some woody/earthiness. Like smelling an orange tree in bloom. Love!

This is just the most feminine perfume I ever wore. It's feminine at the roots, no frills added, just as nature intended. It opens up something inside. I wish it wasn't discontinued.

Orange and neroli, but not as ‘citrusy’ as one might expect. This wears beautifully on the skin and has a clean, fresh, ‘warm’ aspect to it. I love it.

Very very sweet, but lovely! Sadly, it disappears almost completely on me after a couple of hours.

Lush ORANGE BLOSSOM offers a strong, Gorilla-base anchored presentation of the orange blossom note. I would say that this analogy is valid: LUST:Jasmine::ORANGE BLOSSOM: Orange Blossom I suppose that's not all that helpful, and the name basically sums it up already, but the most important point to bear in mind with Lush ORANGE BLOSSOM is that it is truly buried in the Lush house base, which is super gooey, somewhat blunt, not at all subtle, and going to be a deal breaker for many. I personally like it, but it's quite intense and makes for perfumes which are more like events than scents which I would choose normally to don in public. As an example, I chose to don ORANGE BLOSSOM this morning because... I knew that I had a bath on the horizon, and I was thinking about taking an orange blossom bath, so this scent is just going to ramp up the wafts of orange blossom off the top of the water beautifully. (I did the same thing last week with LUST, donning it before a jasmine bath, and it was lovely!) The orange blossom of this composition is almost soapy, but not quite, and almost sweet, but not quite. It's really Gorilla-gooey, and therefore sui generis, it seems to me. It starts to make me think of Prada INFUSION DE FLEURS D'ORANGER, except it stops short of that soapy composition and instead veers toward the sweet side without however attaining the levels of the By Kilian sweet orange blossom or the Couvent des Minimes variation on the theme. ORANGE BLOSSOM does smell like orange blossom, I can attest. But it also smells like the Lush Gorilla base, which is going to work for some people and not for others. Although they are enjoyable to wear, I would advise not wearing these perfumes to the office, unless by chance you work for Lush. (-; They are so strong that they may permanently impair one's olfactory receptors, leading one to lose the ability to smell perfume on one's self, just like the guy who cranks the earphones of his MP3 player on maximum volume, having lost the ability to hear. In fact, for that very reason, I've been punctuating my testing of the perfumes of this house with the ultra-subtle, refined creations of Keiko Mecheri. I do believe that these Lush perfumes are natural smelling and worth a sniff by people who appreciate intense olfactory experiences à la Serge Lutens.

As a lover of orange blossom and Neroli, I am absolutely obsessed with this scent. I have the reformulation, part of Lush’s black label perfume library, so I can’t really speak to the older version and how this compares. This doesn’t make this version any less beautiful than it is. I love the analogy that people have made with Jasmine:Lust and Orange Blossom:Orange Blossom. This is very much a photorealistic OB/Neroli bomb in all its green, white floral, citrus, and indolic glory. It’s absolutely stunning. The beeswax adds a pollen-like quality to the scent that makes it feel even more realistic. As the scent dries down, I start to get some of the sandalwood and ylang ylang, which add a depth to the fragrance. Smelling it close to the skin can be challenging because it does have a bit of a urine vibe to it, but this is one that is meant to be smelled in the air around you. As it dries down, that urine overtone definitely goes away some. Also, I’m not seeing the comparison to L’Occinate Neroli & Orchidee (another amazing neroli scent that I adore). N&O is a much fresher take on Neroli that’s still very beautiful but not as “dirty” as OB is. Both are appropriate to wear in public, but I’d save OB for an event where I’m trying to stand out more or be a little bit sexy / draw attention to myself. While Lust has a raw, carnal, raunchy sexiness to it, Orange Blossom has a sexiness to it that’s more tame but still very seductive and sensual while still being light and flirty. It’s going to be absolutely gorgeous in the spring and summer, and is going to leave the most divine scent trail in the warmer air. Projection is strong for the first 2 hours and then dies down nicely as the scent wears off. Longevity is moderate.

Wow! This opens GREEN and potent! With a capital G-R-E-E-N and P-O-T-E-N-T! I mean this slaps you across the face at first spray. Then it becomes potently green with honey and the comb. I love orange blossom and neroli (they are my favorite notes) and I don’t think it can get anymore orange blossom and neroli than this. It seems to envelop every aspect of it. From the leaves to the bitter rind of the fruit to the wonderful dried down sweetness that we all know and love. There is a rawness to it. After the opening there is a waxiness and it becomes more citric. It’s still green at this point. I don’t think a lot of people will enjoy the opening because it can be viewed as harsh and I could see this giving someone a blinding headache too. And on another note (haha, get it? I said note), my cat apparently loves the stuff, she keeps licking and rubbing her nose across my arm making it difficult to type. My favorite part is about two hours in. When the sandalwood and rosewood warm it up and mellow it out a bit and the greenness diminishes and the honey amps up just a bit. When it finally settles it turns to that sweet flower I love about 4 hours in. It sticks around for a lot longer and is louder than I thought it would be. I probably get 6-8 hours wear time. The silage seems quite loud in the early stages of this fragrances evolution but as it evolves and the sweetness settles in toward the end it becomes a lot more quiet. If you can make it through the opening the ending is worth it. I can respect it. But I will not wear it frequently and am glad I only purchased the purse spray. But the ending is really WOW! And very true!

I have the solid stick and it's handy to carry around in my bag. The orange blossom, neroli and ylang ylang are prominent in the top notes. The beeswax, jasmine, rosewood and sandlewood lend it an earthy, pungent flavour that lingers. I tend to reapply periodically to refresh the top notes. At first sniff it reminded me of 4711 as well, but it developes very differently. I like this frag, it's fresh but not overly sweet or cloying. It's unisex and I think that's the reason behind the mixed reviews. It's not what one would normally expect from a frag called Orange Blossom.

I have the solid perfume, and on the whole I've found it pretty disappointing. If it's hot out (and where I live, it nearly almost always it), on first application, I'm bombarded with a heavily indolic fragrance, more reminiscent of jasmine than orange blossoms. There is no freshness, no citrus notes. Just lots and lots of indole. Then within an hour or two, it fades away to nothing. The sillage is nothing to speak of- I have to put my nose to my wrist to get even the slightest whiff. It starts off heavy-handed and one note, and it's incredibly short lived. Disappointing.

This fragrance is so refreshing! The orange blossom smell is authentic and fresh, and the honey is sweet and calming. There is very a slight warm/woodsy undertone in the drydown. It smells almost exactly like the Orange Blossom Honey Liquid soap sold by Trader Joe's, so if you like that, you will be a fan of this. I also like to use this perfume to refresh my room and linens occasionally.

I didn't get orange blossom, I got a cloying essential oil sting, the kind that equates to TE alcohol sting in EDTs. Yep, sift through the beeswax and bergamot to get the florals, but the scent has already developed before the florals can really speak up. The first impression over shadowed the goodness in the drydown. Like I always say; if you're into niche, go try it.

smells a little like soap. orange blossom leaves. (I have it on me and I'm trying to describ it but I'm not good at it! (and I usually speak french so it's even harder! it doesn't smell like the other floral perfum... I'd say it's a bit oriental. if you smell really close, you can kind of some... wood? I like it... it's special, like the other lush perfums.

I had the solid version of this in 2013. The packaging wasn't very good and the solid perfume had a tendency to get gooey in warm weather. It had a very sunscreen-y vibe to it, and when I wore it I remember people asking me if I had just applied sunscreen. I think I threw it away while I was moving because it was just too gooey and I didn't love the scent.

I tried the new version (not the black glass bottle version). The opening is very soapy, clean and fresh. Personally I find it quite pleasant, nothing special but easily acceptable. Although it is not listed in the notes, I do get jasmine here. In general it's a nice summer perfume.

I bought this in solid version along with lust when during my 30th birthday spending spree. at the time I liked it, but I dident have many other perfumes and looking back it just smelled like some sort of aromatherapy massage oil. nice but not really perfumey

This is a fine orange blossom scent. Not complex enough for me to enjoy on it's own so I have found it it perfect or layering with other scents like vanillas or ambers or fruity scents, or the whole lot together.

The opening is incredible, woody, spicy orange. After an hour the drydown is muted, earthy, the spice which lifts the blend is gone. Okay I respray and am thinking about layering but if honest, disappointed. 2/5

This doesn't suit my skin, but smells amazing in my hair! It's so fresh and calming, like a deep breath of cool air. If you like this try Lush's 'Happy Happy Joy Joy' perfumed hair conditioner.

‘Orange Blossom’ from LUSH is not what you’ll expect, and exactly what you’d expect at the same time. It is fresh, and citrusy, but heady, floral and waxy at the same time. It feels slightly dated, but that might be because of the soapy neroli, and the lemony beeswax, and how they blend together. It is good, but it lacks a certain depth or uniqueness in a way. But this is a perfume from a brand that mainly does soap and bath products so I’ll let it slide. If you are familiar with LUSH products this might remind you ever so slightly of the ‘Honey I Washed the Kids’ line, but that might be accidental due to the honey note being very prominent in this one. And beware, the actual perfume juice might stain, my bottle does, but that has macerated and is a deep orange colour.

As @Khatun has written below: "The trail it leaves of gorgeous but if you sniff it up close it is VERY different. Not sure if it’s the beeswax but it smells very animalic and dare I say...a little like pee." I couldn't agree more. When I tried this in store it had a fleshy richness that felt like it was squishing the petals in my finger, but the bottle I have gives off a sharp, almost citrusy -hindering on metallic- twinge. I don't like it and I was very disappointed because this cost a pretty penny. I don't know if this is from a reformulation. HOWEVER, if I spray this on the back of my neck ONLY, I get a whiff of the gorgeous, waxy orange blossom that I know and love.

For the perfume not the solid A sharp white orange blossom over the basic lush base of sandalwood, rosewood etc. I don't really get any of the ylang-ylang. It's pretty linear and the sharpness of this orange blossom is a major turn of for me. It's so distracting that I have a difficult time picking out any notes other than it and the base. White florals have a tendency to get unpleasantly sharp on me so if you have that issue too you may want to rethink this one. The sillage is nuclear and it lasts a good long time.

I thought I would like this at first, but now I realize there is something cloying and nauseating in it. Same goes for "Smell of Freedom." It has a soapy quality, and something else that makes me feel barfy. I was afraid "29 High Street" was going to be the same, but so far no woozy notes, so I may stick with it instead of the other two. All three seem very similar to my nose, though. I suspect the culprit is the African Orange Blossom...

I got the solid version of this and was looking forward to smelling it as I love orange blossom. It smells like a musty old persons house. Yes theres orange blossom and ylang ylang, likely rosewood that I could smell too but ugh.Not nice. As someone else commented, more earthy/woody than sweet. Pretty sure the solid stick smells different to spray - but then it has beeswax etc in.

There was no orange blossom for me in this one. Maybe strong beeswax and Neroli, but all in all I found it overwhelmingly harsh.

It's slightly woodsy and I can smell neroli as well. But for some reason, it reminds me of some artificial air freshener...

I'm trying to like it but it's a little too strong for me. It smells like the Lush store.

Another hyped Lush. I adore orange blossom, both in a soliflore and in a complex scent. Listed notes include also neroli and sandalwood!!! I mean... this should be the scent of heaven for me! I don't dislike beeswax. All should be perfection... Instead it is not and not on my skin in any case. It smells almost putrid on me since the beginning. I let it dry and after 30 minutes it was much better and more wearable, still no magic orange blossom blooming on my nervous system! No piercing neroli, not even the cooky pastiera-like (yum!) smell of The Couvent des Minimes, which I don't like in a perfume to wear but I can appreciate in a traditional pastiera. Cologne 4711 smells much better and it is more uplifting, which is the main aromatherapic effect for o.b. and neroli. Smelled from a close distance these Lush are horrible, while smelled from a 50 cm distance they are more nuanced and not disturbing. Anyway I liked Imogen Rose a little bit more than this one. My best orange blossom scent by now is Fleurs d'Oranger by Fragonard (there are people around me who don't like it) and there are other pleasant and touching ob perfumes around for a much smaller price.

I get a shot of neroli at the opening, reminding me of the classic Johnson's baby cologne only way less sharp and way more floral. It's a little bit green as well. As it settles on my skin i'm quite surprised with this linden blossom or honeysuckle like floral note, which is really lovely. I also get a hint of something warm, honeyed, and something borderline funky meshing through underneath, which makes it really interesting. That honeyed note is unfortunately brief though, as it dries down to a soft, clean, musky, floral neroli. I'm not yet sure if it's worth purchasing if it's a scent that resembles something that i associate with being really affordable. Maybe it's wiser if i just buy a classic cologne from the drugstore instead. Although scent wise, i'd say its worth paying more since i detect more nuances with the florals and that brief honeyed note. I can smell the quality in the ingredients. Longevity wise, i'll give it more testings after my initial impressions of this.

Liquid summer-imagination.:)Happiness and optimism. After application neroli blast swirling with green nuances, bitter-fresh splash of the notes. But these are fading away quickly and the dominant neroli sweetens with beeswax, the scent become a bit medicine-like. Seconds later the orange blossom can be detectable, getting stronger and stronger, rosewood and after sandalwood gives the lightly woodsy feeling and the medicinal nuance goes away.The beeswax clearly detectable in the drydown but it doesn't make the scent overly sweet,it's still fresh and happy.:) Maybe because the orange-flower+ beeswax combination but I really feel elderflower aroma in it!!:D Particular, somehow joyful composition. I think I will try it in hot weather too, I'm sure it's will be beautiful.:)
