Super Milk

in reference to the hair primer because i’m not lucky enough to own the perfume: extremely akin to a warm lemon spice cake. deliciously addictive cinnamon and vanilla baked gourmand, but with a very present creamy lemon drizzle overlay that freshens it up. leaves a subtle scent in your hair to complement any other choices of fragrance, or to leave a soft bakery-kitchen scent in your wake if worn alone. the lemon in here is not at all tart or sour - it’s like a lemon drizzle comprised of much more sugar than lemon, laid over a moist and decadent cinnamon pound cake base with a healthy dose of pure vanilla pod. i cannot stress enough that smelling this makes me picture a little cinnamon bundt cake with melty lemon drizzle. this is a mouthwatering gourmand that genuinely smells good enough to eat. my personal trick is to scoop a dollop of lush’s “sympathy for the skin” lotion into my palm (smells lightly like vanilla ice cream, so very complementary to super milk’s creamy-sweet fragrance) and spray a few spritzes of super milk (like two sprays per limb being moisturized) into the lotion before rubbing my hands together to mix and applying all over my body - it leaves my skin super soft and smelling exactly like super milk! anyway, all that is to say that this is a delicious scent and a fantastically conditioning, softening, anti-frizz hair product. completely worth the hype, as are most of lush’s products!

Gorgeous citrus opening note; think sherbet lemon and not fresh lemon from the tree. It makes me feel like I am in a sweet shop, but also manages to remind me of walking into a LUSH store at the same time. If you love lemon and gourmands - this one is for you! The dry-down is delicious too, a spicy, warm vanilla. It smells like a lemon pastry fresh out of the oven. I can definitely pick up on the lactonic notes and the tonka bean, which add richness and depth to the sweetness of the lemon. I can't get enough of this fragrance! It's complex enough to feel expensive, so you don't feel like you're smelling a cheap body spray, but also simple enough that it's quite universal, I would say. Even if it isn't to your personal tastes, you can still enjoy it. Just an overall pleasant scent. The only negative I have found is that the longevity is not great. After a couple of hours it basically disappears into the skin and is only really detectable if you are smelling the area you applied it to directly.

Received the 30ml bottle and tested a spray on my left hand and a spray of Amy Sugar Cookie on my right hand. Super Milk dominates the projection and lasts over three hours before settling into a soft skin scent with a gentle, alluring trail. Super Milk does smell similar to Lira but with much better projection and longevity, plus much cheaper and affordable too. I completely understand that Super Milk might not appeal to everyone. After all, scent is deeply personal. Just like how I adore the smell of durian, which many find off-putting, our preferences are shaped by individual experiences. To my nose, Super Milk is a creamy blend with subtle nutty and lactonic nuances. It carries a slightly herbal undertone that feels comforting and soothing. I find it versatile enough for year-round wear, though it truly shines in cooler weather. Its calming effect reminds me of Yog Nog and Cinders, both of which I also love.

I hope at least someone saw this post quick enough to grab it, bc it's gone again. My gosh that was fast. I'm really not a fan of this "limited edition" stuff. It's really a shame when something sells out in literally one day and then lots of people feel left out... I will be back to review this when I receive it. Edit 2: This is not identical to the leave-in conditioner (which I didn't expect it to be) but its pretty dang close! The perfume pulls a bit more herbal on my skin. I still love the way this smells though. This lasted over 7 hours on my skin and on clothes it will probably last until washed. If you can get your hands on this perfume I definitely recommend it.💕

smells exactly like the hair conditioner!! people say they miss out on the cinnamon notes, but its probably one of the strongest notes for me. doesn't smell like cleaning supplies at all!! a yummy bakery lemon cake with vanilla frosting. i'm so glad i splurged on the bottle as an american who wasn't able to buy the scent at release. literally going to be my go-to scent this summer, i'm worried about using up the whole bottle. my only problem is the cap is really hard to put back on, and sometimes squeezes out a little product. lush is my favorite perfumery and this is my first full size perfume from them. i find the body sprays have more longevity than supermilk though, but that could be my nose blindess since i also wear the hair conditioner too. i can't wait to layer this with yog nog body spray and maybe american cream too!!

(for the hair primer and body glitter) delicious! incomparable! however, it's that latent black licorice, root beer lollipop, anise-medicinal, sort of "lush store" smell at the very base of this scent that keeps it from being elevated and keeps it smelling like one of lush's powdery (or otherwise paste-like) products rather than a true perfume... then again, it's delicious! i love wearing it, i love the compliments. the creamy, lemon sugar, milky biscuit opening is beautiful and head-turning. but, oh, how i wish that licorice, soapy lemongrass smell that lies closest to the skin didn't exist! but still, i have yet to find a perfume that satisfies my super milk craving

I have the hair primer and my mom started using it. My dad started following my mom around saying she smells heavenly. She’s also not very good with names so she came to me four times in the past week asking what the name was because her friends and STRANGERS asked her what perfume this was. All my life I’ve been looking for a scent that’s crazy long lasting, crazy projecting without being powdery, artificial or oriental. This is it. This is absolute perfection in a bottle. I haven’t been asked by anyone what I was wearing yet. On me unfortunately it doesn’t project too much. On my mom’s hair though, absolutely wild.

I live for this scent. Its incredibly complex and intoxicating. To me, I dont get vanilla from this at all, rather what I immediately smell is lemon, and licorice, with milk undertones. Lemon and licorice sounds like it would mix well together, but everytime I wear it, I smell like a bag brought home from a candy store that makes everything from scratch. The lemon/licorice smells hits you, and then as you become more used to it, you can smell the milk. Very strong, but I adore. My friend wears it now, and it lingers after she walks past me. Recommend heavily

Thank you so much to LUSH for re releasing this because DAYUM. Grabbed one in store and I can for sure say that they nailed the reformulation. It is almost identical to the hair primer, with that stunning lemon for the first ~30 mins, then it settles in to this beautiful vanilla, but it still keeps that citrusy kick. It is by no means a beast fragrance, but, as a citrus lover, I'm used to those beautiful citrus notes not lasting a very long time. Great to have in my collection, but since they only released the 30ml, I shall savour every drop.

The 2024 version smells phenomenal! Initially when I smelled it, it had a strong pure lemon scent which kind of put me off but after 10 minutes I could not stop smelling my arm and ran back to buy it!! I think the dry down smells exactly like the super milk hair product. Everyone says it’s a creamy lemon dessert and I kinda get that, however to me, it smells like gingerbread which I absolutely love. I guess I could describe it as being a bit spicy which might not be the correct term( I don’t know the exact lingo) but that’s what it is to me.

(A review for the hair primer, as I was never fortunate enough to get my hands on the actual perfume. Currently awaiting the glitter mist spray and body spray to arrive in the mail.) If you'd like to smell like a freshly baked treat, the hair primer will help you achieve exactly that. It never fails to attract compliments from both men and women, and while wearing it out, I've been told I smell like a freshly baked cinnamon bun on several occasions. Myself, I think it smells like lemon snow bars. A definite constant in my fragrance routine.

Since they don’t sell the fragrance anymore I bought the shimmer body mist version. It smells identical to the hair primer so I’m in love :)) litsea cubeba is my favorite perfume note, so this creamy gourmand with litsea is ideal for me. Smells like a lemon pound cake with lots of vanilla icing. Lasts forever on clothes, hair, skin, you name it. It’s a pretty beastmode fragrance so use sparingly! I’ve gotten so many compliments from coworkers, strangers, and people I’ve dated so I def recommend it :)

Hummm they tried, but this time it smells like 75% of the actual supermilk spray. This one is too lemon candies like and not spicy enough, I get the cream after like 2 minutes but well I have chance to very like it, reminds me of D&G devotion but creamier. Comparing to chelsea morning, it's more lemony, and chelsea morning is much spicier and toffee sided, if you mix them together I guess they can finally smells like the actual supermilk hair spray.

I don't have the original perfume but I have the new glitter body spray and oh my god. This is my new favourite thing from Lush. It opens with a tart lemon scent, comparable to homemade lemon curd and then settles down to a milky, lemon frosting. It's absolutely gorgeous. It also smells really nostalgic but I can't remember what it reminds me of, even though I can't remember, it just makes me so happy.

I have the hair mist version but this is probably my most worn and complemented fragrance. It works in all seasons, you get sweet cookies in winter and refreshing sweet lemon in summer. I generally dislike citrus as I think it's a lazy choice to make a perfume smell good and universally likeable, but the milkiness and sweetness in this overrides that and makes it such a comforting scent.

The Super Milk hair primer is hands down the best smell I've ever smelled in my LIFE. Period. (It's an actual tragedy this isn't readily available in a perfume form; hoping the body spray smells similar) Edit: Alright, the body spray exists now! It smells similar for sure, but it's missing the lactonic qualities you can only get from using real milks versus alcohol.

I was nervous for this one. On first spray, it is sickenly sweet lemon candy and that immediately made me dislike it. After about 10-20 minutes, it turns into what I know and love from the hair product: an almost creamy, nutmeg like spiced lemon scent. I think they did real good minus the cavity inducing first spray.

Less milky than the hair conditioner, but nonetheless a delicious sweet citrus scent. I do not find it overly sweet and it lasts quite well on me. About 7 hours with moderate projection. I use it with the hair conditioner for the best experience. I love it!! Really hoping they bring this back at some point.

so happy i got my hands on this !! first initial spray is overkill with the lemon but once it sits and dries down it’s lovely. i would say this is more like a sister to the hair conditioner, while the creaminess is there it’s missing the punch the conditioner gives. nonetheless i still very much adore it 🍋✨

I’m not sure if this got reformulated or not from the original release but what I can say is it started out with that same screechy lemon opening as CM and after a while it ended up smelling 90-95% accurate to the hair primer on me, I guess I just had to trust the process. I do not regret buying this.

i just got my bottle today, and gotta say its amazing!! i think its very similar to the hair spray (it smells exactly like the first spray from the hairspray yk that kinda tart lemony opening) but its also creamy and vanilla-y and sweet so pretty much its perfect!! def buy if you like the hairspray

I don't actually own the perfume, I have the body spray and the hair primer that I use as perfume. Absolutely my signature scent right now, a lemon pastry that settles into lactonic goodness. My life's mission is to get everyone to smell like this and so far its working. I love you super milk!!!!

Love it, my boyfriend loves it. He said it smells like a dessert (after the harsh artificial lemon smell at first) and my coworker said I smell like strawberries hihi. To me it smells at first harsh and not pleasant but after some time a lemony dessert, lovely xx

Does this smell like the hair conditioner? I don’t think so, I think this is much better! It starts with a creamy sweet lemon, like a lemon gummy bear, and finally dries down to a lemon pastry. It is fun and brings a smile on my face. And is long lasting too.

Ooh if you love Unknown Pleasures, but the opening is too sharp for you, you need this. It's such a pretty foody lemon cake scent. You can't beat this (I'm talking about the hair product not the perfume, but I'm using it as perfume, it's strong).

The hunt is over for me. This is my holy grail perfume. The 2024 version is nearly spot on for the hair primer (less spice) and it lasts 6 hours or more on my skin. It is DIVINE. This is what I had hoped Bake by Akro would be like.

god i love smelling like a bakery.

As an ardent fan of their hair primer, whose rich blend is reminiscent of a lemon-y snickerdoodle with its coconut, almond, and a whisper of cinnamon, I had my reservations. Especially given the limited edition nature of Super Milk and previous encounters with Lush's hit-or-miss body mists, expectations were low. However, this fragrance pleasantly upended my skepticism. Opening with a blast of litsea kubeba, so much so that I need to be mindful not to sniff right away, I was ready to declare this as a dud. As it settles, a hint of playdoh mingles with the creamy sweetness of tonka, crafting a fragrance profile that, while complex, leans towards a gentler, sugar cookie-like simplicity – sans the spicy intrigue of the primer. Interestingly, Super Milk doesn't envelop you in its aroma as the hair primer does. It opts for a softer approach, both in scent projection and longevity. It comes on strong but quickly mellows out to a creamy vanilla with a touch of lemon zest and powdered sugar. There's something making it a bit lighter and brighter ... almost like a cream soda? Its lemon-forward, sugar-cookie simplicity, devoid of the primer's spiciness, makes it a nice complement to the primer, but isn't quite "taking its essence and bottling it as a perfume". I hope it comes out as a permanent release, I would gladly purchase it, but am glad it isn't absolutely phenomenal as I'd be bummed I'd have to pay reseller prices for a full bottle.

Finally got my hands on this perfume, the projection is phenomenal but i don’t like the dry down. It doesn’t smell like super milk on my skin, has anyone used super milk hair conditioner as hand cream? I put the milk on my wrists just like the way i would wear my perfume, hmmm it smells so good and lasted forever. Also lush SLEEP massage bar has very similar scent profile as super milk, if you can’t get ur hands on the perfume, try the oil bar u won’t be disappointed. Okay back to this perfume, if you love super milk hair conditioner get this, but just don’t expect it is exactly the same as the conditioner, for this price point i blind bought it why not , i still enjoy wearing it, and whenever i move my arms smells like heaven.

I just bought this today, the Nov 2024 launch. I really like it, I don’t know if they have changed the formula, but the dry down of this perfume smells bang on to the hair primer to me, I’m really pleased with it. The opening is a little sharp but In the dry down (and I only mean about 15 mins) it is vanilla, Tonka, almond and a citrus which must be the litsea cubeba. I like this litsea cubeba note because it smells citrus but unusual and natural, not like a fake lemon or something. I am onto my second super milk hair primer so I am familiar with the scent and overall this perfume just smells like the hair primer so I’m very happy 👍🏽

Like gingerbread in a bottle! Although the official notes don’t say it, that’s exactly what I smell. It opens with a burst of sharp, citrusy freshness that lingers for about 30 minutes before softening into a warm, gingerbread-like delight. The longevity is impressive, and the projection is decent. I keep detecting notes that aren’t officially listed, but it makes this scent all the more intriguing. A deep, tonka-based fragrance that’s festive, warm, and sparkling—perfect for the holiday season. Definitely fall / winter leaning, perfectly unisex and a very good base for layering. I wouldn’t mind adding this to my collection!

Okay so the new version definitely smells like the og hair conditioner spray, but it’s weird it opens with a strange note, I almost get liquorice? I hate liquorice, luckily that dissipates for me on the dry down and it turns into a sweet, spicy lemon tart scent with some smoky woody notes, it’s verrry strong and has great longevity and okay silage, I don’t know that I’d call this gourmand personally, it definitely has gourmand notes but if it doesn’t melt like it would taste good to me it isn’t gourmand 😂 glad I bought.

With the first spray, I smell super milk conditioner and strong listea cubeba/lemon. I love it. Then with my nose right to my wrist it smells like wintergreen heavy root beer.... I love wintergreen mints and root beer, but it’s weird as a perfume. It stays that way for a long time. But when I wave my arm, I smell super milk conditioner....it wafts around me...sprayed directly on my clothes, I smell super milk conditioner. For now, I like it and I’ll keep it because I love that smell.

Freshly baked lemon tart smell. Warm and sweet and citrusy. I started using the hair conditioner because my friend did, and she always smells great. When the most recent formulation was released, I bought a bottle for both myself and her. I don't think I'm obsessed enough to repurchase it for myself since it doesn't project enough on my skin, but it's a really lovely scent. It smells like the hair primer to me. Pairs well with: My Fun - Suki Waterhouse

This is very close to the supermilk hair spray but it’s not the same. This is super lemon forward, like a lemon candy with some vanilla in it. The tonka keeps it creamy which I love but it’s missing the cinnamon cookie type of smell that I was hoping for. The spice is still present just not as forward as it is in the original product. Still very pleasant and I love mixing it with a gourmand lotion to get the desired smell.

the lemon cupcake scent of the super milk hair primer that this perfume is supposed to be reminiscent of fades after like two minutes. what’s left is still very lovely though !! what i’m about to say is going to be very niche but the dry down smells exactly like bandi professional boost care vitamin c serum :’) kind of “watery” sweet vanilla with something woody in it and a very very slight coriander seed note??

The new version smells just like the super milk hairspray, yummy 🍋🍦🍨 To me the super milk perfume smells more similar to the hairspray than chelsea morning does. Chelsea morning is warmer and I get quite a lot of toffee, I get how some may prefer chelsea. But I like the strong lemon and slight warmth of the vanilla in the super milk perfume. I suppose everyone smells the hairspray differently :)

I get compliments from men and women every single time I put it on. Everyone around me end up perceiving a different dessert, it's either pancakes, cake, cookies or cotton candy. Men in particular tend to be a bit more obsessed with this fragrance. If you feel pretty and want to be noticed this is the one for you.

If you don't like sweet/gourmand scents, don't even get close to this one, I can get lemon at the beginning. After 5 minutes it smells like cookie with warm milk. Nice sillage and longevity, love it!

I recently got this and to me it smells exactly like the hair primer, in the bottle and on skin. Longevity is about 2-3 hours. Very pleased with the newest formulation.

A rough, zingy combination of lemon, vanilla, citrus, and amber. More feminine. Missing a milky aspect, just a bit harsh and citrusy.
