Tender is the Night

I think this is everything Vanillary should have been! Sweet, powdery, creamy vanilla - almost pudding -like in its deliciousness. There's a touch of jasmine and other florals at the start, and the jasmine picks up strength over time - more so on clothes. I'm not a huge jasmine fan, but this is still wearable for me, unlike, say, Lust.

I have been wearing this for over a week now and I do think that it starts off same as the massage bar they had years ago. It starts off floral and sweet and it slowly becomes a very sweet vanilla scent, the florals kind of disappear in the dry down. It has great projection and longevity - one spray would be enough if you are sensitive to scents. It does have that kind of typical Lush DNA that I am not the biggest fan of, but it is still nice and wearable. Definitely not anywhere near a Guerlain vanilla in quality, but it is good for what it is. I don't love or even like it as much as I expected. I wouldn't wear it around people as I think it could be a bit obnoxious, so it stays as my at home/bed time scent. It has kind of put me off exploring Lush perfumes tbh.

Smells a lot like vanillary from Lush. That yucky jasmine note coming through. If vanillary is your jam, you'll love this

I returned this one because although a pretty and gentle perfume with sweet florals, I found it very indolic and I got a hefty dose of pee-scent. I've only had that with two other Lush perfumes (Dads Garden Honeysuckle & Chamomile and Superworld Unkown), but it was strong here and didn't go away. I'm sure it won't lean indolic to everyone but for me it sadly didn't work :(

Sweet, creamy, beautiful white florals. I’m shocked to hear people loose the jasmine as it drys down- the jasmine sticks around for me, settling into an almost grape candy floral. As someone who loves a idolic almost rotten jasmine, this is one of the only soft jasmines I like.
