Loyal Agar

Exotic, masculine, well-blended. Very prominent dry tobacco and vanilla note. The vanilla note here is not the typical sweet vanilla. Incredible performance. I am not sure how close this is to PDM Layton; although I have smelled Al Haramain's Detour Noir, they do have similar "scent DNA" but they smell very different. Detour Noir is sweeter, more gourmand, has an apple pie smell and I can't detect any tobacco; Loyal Agar on the other hand has no apple-pie smell, in the opening there is a "minty" kind of smell, it is really heavy on the dry tobacco, the vanilla feels really smooth and gives off a dry kind of sweetness, Loyal Agar also smells spicier. To my nose, Detour Noir is more mass-appealing and alluring so I prefer wearing Detour Noir more than this one. Loyal Agar just feels too dry for me, I still like it though. Excellent performance.

I really enjoy Prince by Luxodor (BR540 layered with Aventus), so I wanted to try more from the brand. I find the brand has exceptional quality and incredibly affordable prices. Just as I sprayed this on my hand I heard “Wrong bottle! That’s a Layton dupe.” I thought, oh shucks, I don’t want a masculine scent on my hand. I’m so glad I didn’t instantly wash it off. 🤯The Loyal Agar dry down is insanely good!! I like it better than Layton. It doesn’t have the sharp apple opening or vicks vapor rub mid. Gorgeous tonka vanilla amber dry down 🥰 that I find very excellent on both men and women. I don’t get the masculine tones from Loyal Agar at all on my skin. Where as, Layton is very masculine on me. I need this, especially at this price!

Possibly my best blind buy purchase ever. Very strong opening; I get what others are saying regarding this being Layton on steroids. Essentially, this is a darker and sweeter version, with Layton being a tad bit brighter and fresher. Loyal Agar has that middle-eastern touch that can throw off some. The Vicks menthol-smell is definitely there, but blends nicely with the tobacco to give it some depth and power. This is currently my signature scent as not too many people know about it, and is distinguishable enough to Layton. Performance after the first hour is slightly disappointing in the recent batches with the gold magnetic cap, turns to almost a skin scent. But longevity is great. 8-9 hours.

This is a great scent! I mean wow such a beautiful scent profile with strong vanilla all the way till the end. I am not a fan of tobacco notes but in this scent the slight scent of tobacco just works and it beautiful. But most of the time you will be smelling the smoky vanilla throughout the time. It is a solid performer, we are talking beast mode performance with strong projection and great longevity. It is a compliment magnet but do not overspray it as it could choke people out (I will overspray because I am like that :D ) Haven't smelled Layton so can't tell if it is close to that but on its own it is such a nice perfume.

So glad I found this one... Immediately bought a back up bottle good performer on me blind buy gone right 👌🏿💯 ps....... a side note it took about 2/3 days for the perfume to start performing literally got better by the day to back up a comment I read above this performance is weak after 1st hour I found its very long lasting but sits very close after 1 hour I'm very disappointed as I bought like 3 bottles but truth be told scent gets compliments and smells beautiful but just don't expect beast mode performance because that has truly been hyped especially on the gold cap magnetic bottles that I have

Extremely potent; but to me this is closer to Parfums De Marly Layton Exclusif than the OG Layton; specially considering the dark / animalic notes you'd find here. Definitely not for summer. Hence, the "reminds me section" seem misleading to me, specially because its definitely not as bright as PDM Layton; its dark, potent, animalic closer to the Layton Exclusif. Considering the price, it's a great and potent perfume, unbelievable at this price. But dont dare to spray even a drop on summer days. Winter only!

This is a fabulous alternative to Layton with nuclear performance after maceration. When I first got this, I was really underwhelmed with the performance... I let this one macerate for a few months, and wow, what a massive shift in scent and performance. This is a more mature take on the OG, as I get more patchouli dirtiness out of this that gives it this dirty feel that really makes me love it over the other alternatives. If you spray this on your clothes, it will be eternal. 9 out of 10 for a clone.

Let me preface this by saying I have never smelled Layton in my life. This fragrance is perfect for a night out where you want to be noticed by the people around you. The opening reminds me of the smell of iced tea mixed with a tad of mint. The drydown is just sweet vanilla with very light woods and tobacco. Longevity and projection is great. I get a solid 4 hours of projection with 8-10 hours of longevity.

When I spray it, I feel like its Layton mixed with a little bit dirty, animalic nuance of coffee patchouli from Mugler Amen (original one, not any flanker) or also well known Kilian Intoxicated. But, in the deep dry down it starts reminding me of mix of Layton and a little bit of cherry tobacco note from Herod. Great fragrance, one of my favs!

Smells like freshly baked Apple Pie with cinnamon blended with root beer and bit mint/menthol. Smell is Very smooth in the opening. Love the opening of this Perfume.This perfume is well blended. Looking forward for other Perfumes clone by Luxodor 🙂

I sprayed it to my wrist after i unboxed it, but it only lasts about 4 hours. im still macerating it for a month and editing this review to see if there’s a difference in longevity. it does smell really good tho

Loyal Agar is seriously addictive! The vanilla and tobacco combo is divine, with just the right amount of sweetness. It's warm, inviting, and perfect for cooler weather. I get compliments every time I wear it!

Delicious, mysterious perfection. I would've paid 3x the amount I paid. I smell the atomizer before I go to bed and when I wake up I smell it again.. quality and presentation are out of this world..

Got my 2nd bottle after I finished my first one. My first bottle was magnetic, and my 2nd bottle now is magnetic also. But my 2nd bottle seems stronger than my 1st bottle. I love this.

the triple blend of jpg le male elixir, givenchy gentleman edp and ysl libre intense. everything is great. pro tip: nevermind the "vicks/iced tea" opening comments.

this has better performance than detour noir but the scent is about 99% identical.

This is a great alternative for PDM Layton. Performance is beast. Worth keeping!

This is my second Luxodor fragrance (Prince being the first). One of the best kept secrets in the fragrance community. Clones or not - the quality is incredible. No weird openings, no chemical smell, no weird dry downs. Just great scents from start to finish with solid longevity and at the very least moderate projection, if not strong as they start to settle and macerate. Combined I paid £40 ($50 USD - it was bought in the UAE and brought back to the UK by a family member) for both Prince and Loyal Agar and even though I’ve got some niche, some designer, some cheaper and some very expensive fragrances, buck for buck these 2 are the best value for money. If you like the fragrances that both Loyal Agar and Prince are compared to or imitations of, don’t worry - you’ll like both scents, so no need for me to go into deep detail on how this smells. For me, there are some scents I like but don’t love, so sometimes I don’t feel the need to fork out for the OG. I don’t buy many clones, but I’m not anti-clone. The main reason I bought this is because I only somewhat like Layton and I’ve experienced the quality of Luxodor before so I thought I’d give it a shot for the price. It was well worth it. 0/10 for originality 9/10 for quality 10/10 for price 8/10 for performance (which may increase with time)

This was a gift from a younger Fragger that didn't like it because it was "too mature" for him. I agree, this is for the advanced and discerning nose. I was crazy about the initial sniff, or spray. It was underwhelming, to me. But....this bad boy (and I do mean Bad Boy!) is a sleeper! Within 15-30 min of the application, it had created an aura around me, a cloud of sweet seduction and started me on one of those mature journeys for the next several hours. The balance and interplay between one team of vanilla, amber and lavender vs the Tonka, bergamot and tobacco was truly artistic. It is definitely going to rise to the top tier of my collection I will say that I find this very nice for both Autumn and Spring, not just cold weather, but the transitional milder seasons as well. The vanilla note is not really my type of scent especially when it is hot outside. I only use this during colder times and at night. Still, I get compliments from women since this is a unisex scent slightly leaning towards masculine. What really stands out is the price and performance you get from this beast. I spray on my skin and the smell won't come off even after washing it out. Projection is strong with this one. I get a good 5-6 hr 3-6ft projection. After this purchase, It might change my preference for vanilla scents.

An obvious PDM Layton clone with double the longevity and but half the complexity. Less fruity and sweet than Layton like others have mentioned, which some people might prefer, but I don't. I would still pick Layton over Loyal Agar, but it's hard to hate on this given how cheap it is compared to the scent it imitates.

This is an exceptional Layton clone. It’s about what CDNIM is to Aventus. About 95% spot on with minor differences. Solid fragrance! Strong projection and superb longevity. You can’t beat this for the price. My only dilemma is it’s too difficult to us in the USA. Come one Luxador! Step your game up!

Have been using it for almost a month, in a weather ranging from +9 to -9 °C. Opening is beat part with sparkling amber, bergamot and hints of vanilla. Within 2 minutes you can detect tobacco and sweet notes with menthol vibe. Projection and performance is beastly. Menthol vibe of Layton is there. There is something strange about this perfume that, if i sniff my wrist, it is strong menthol which isn't likeable for me. From 2 feet, it is attractive scent. From 6 feet, it is generic and boring for me. Try it first, if you like this smell, it is a 10/10 package. For me this smell is just fine. It may grow on me but for now Smell 6/10 Performance 10/10 Value 9/10

It’s similar to layton but very very strong, and with not good quality. You can buy it from uae 25 dollars.

I'm jobless today so I'll just do some errands like going to the car shop to buy some new tires. I'm not going to talk to any important person and I decided to wear something relatively affordable. Opening is sweet vanilla which dries down citrus then powdery. You can smell the ME vibe in this although Layton (which is the OG of this clone) has it too. It is just noticeable on the opening to mid dry down but disappears quickly. It has less of the apple scent of the OG. But for non discerning sniffers, it's not a deal breaker considering the price. Spraying this made me forget to look for the Layton as I was in a hunt for it these past few days. Going back to wearing this because I'm "only" doing errands, I'll just take it back. This can be worn for the office or even night functions. I surmise this will have good performance as the smell in my skin is still strong after 2 hours. Longevity 6-7 hours. Careful with the resprays as it might be cloying. Projection is strong. Bang for the buck!

This is Layton with a twist. This in my personal opinion is a more masculine take on Layton - the OG has a very floral heart which really makes it smell super elegant. this does not have that geranium mentholated vibe so for some that could be a plus (Although I love it).. also the cardomom spice is subdued here a little, the main differences that im picking up on here is that this is less fruity and more earthy. The original Layton has a frothy shaving cream style of lavender while the lavender here is the more spicy and aromatic kind, this has the addition of tabacco which comes across as slightly hay like paired with the tonka bean. If you've smelled boss the scent magnetic you'd know what I mean. I'd give this 75% in terms of resemblance to the OG. But this is absolutely fantastic and while I do prefer the original I really can appreciate this twist and I definitely recommend this fragrance. If the original is a 10/10 this for me is a 9/10. For the price it's a no brainer

Very good alternative to PDM Layton. Best clone so far. Opens up with this sweet apple note. The apple in Loyal Agar is not that piercing, straight to your face apple. I can't appreciate the rough vibe that Layton has in the opening. In the mid, it produces this vicks vaporub vibe but to a lesser extent than Layton because Layton to my nose is strong in the Vicks Vaporub vibe. It dries down into this sweet, bubblegummy, minty vibe. All in all, Loyal agar is PDM Layton with less of the piercing apple note, less rough vibe especially in the opening and less vicks vaporub vibe. For 30 dollars, I can't complain anymore since it's the best PDM Layton clone so far. Definitely a bang for the buck PDM Layton killer! Checkout my review in my Youtube channel: Fragrance Rx. Honestly this performs an easy 14hrs to 15hrs and the projection is better than PDM Layton because obviously it is an Extrait de Parfum and the latter is an Eau de Parfum concentree. I don't like the opening of Loyal Agar heady and very strong woody dry amber with bergamot which is very distant to the opening of Layton which is an explosion of very smooth Apple and Vanilla bomb which I do love. But after an hour it perfectly mimics the drydown of PDM Layton and have a huge scent cloud even better than Layton which has a 3hrs projection of 3ft to 4ft scent cloud only which still freaking good... You have to go easy with the sprayers though, a two full sprays on each side of neck goes along way, maybe a 3rd and 4th half sprays at the back of your hands anything more than that you will definitely choke someone within your 5ft scent cloud so watch out.

Nice bottle and atomizer and packaging but Orientica exclusif blue and Northstag Deux are way way better. First impression is it smells a little cheap...i got the Oud Saffron too and same with that. Oud for Glory Blows that one out of the water. No spice in either Will update this in a week or 2 but ATM im not impressed. Maybe it will macerate/ Edit....3 days later...wayyy better. As someone else mentioned its got a a slight Layton exclusif vibe and its got a VERY smooth blend which came across as no scent at first... Its actually pretty nice. I still dont smell it that much but i did 2 sprays yesterday and my daughter -in the next room- asked me what the perfume was within 20 seconds lol.

Big thanks to Luxodor public relations folks! I inquired about this juice months ago, and it was not in the USA yet. They still don't, however, they followed up out of the blue and let me know who to contact in the states, so I could purchase it. That's exactly what I did. I copped two of them. One for my boy and me. Now for the juice: 1:1 of PDM Layton but on beast, as others have stated, and I LOVE it! I have the OG and this one is much better IMO. The presentation and atomizer are top notch! Lucodor gained a loyal customer in me and I will tell all my people about them. Don't sleep on it! Get you some.

This fragrance is essentially an exact clone of Parfum De Marly's "Layton." It's almost impossible to tell the two apart, the difference being that Loyal Agar is much, much more affordable AND it lasts longer and projects monstrously further than Layton (Parfums De Marly unfortunately changed their formulation to be mostly alcohol, bringing down their longevity and projection to a pathetic standard) In light of this, I would recommend that anyone who likes how Layton smells to save their money and invest in Loyal Agar instead.

Hmm....reviews by persons that have no collections listed and no previous comments on other fragrances.....quite a common feature when it comes to unknown brands trying to get a buzz going and lure people into buying their potions. Smells straight up like a smoky and woodsy sweet vanilla. Very potent and cloying when I tried it the first time in our 35 degree celsius hot and humid weather. It doesnt smell bad but I will only ever use this during the colder months.

A sharper (getting some ambroxan), less sweet clone of Layton. On steroids. Great pick-up for less than $40. Nobody would be able to tell the two apart.

Honestly, this is better than Parfums de Marly Layton. This is a beastmode Layton on steroids. If you love Layton, you better get a bottle oh this.
