Ananda Tchai

The correct notes: Top notes - Bergamot and lemon. Heart notes - Green tea, nutmeg, heliotrope, thyme, fern, ylang ylang and rose, Base notes - Spices, white musk, cedar, amber, woods and vanilla. Received a sample of this today. The scent has just been released. Utterly gorgeous perfume. And the bottle is lovely as well. It opens like a cup of sweetened spicy green tea with milk. Develops into a latte like smell, I think it's all the woody notes that come together and create a kind of nutty almost coffee like feeling. The milkyness in this is on the sweet side, but it never becomes too sweet because of the green aromatic nuances from thyme and fern. In the drydown Ananda Tchaï smells like a woody au lait. It's very milky, soft, warm and sweet - but again there is something that keeps the scent from being too sweet. It's a kind of clean almost soapy tinge that comes and goes in soft, barely there, waves. I believe it might be the combination of white musk and ylang ylang. This is a very well balanced scent. It's a mature and sophisticated take on gourmand. The house of Micallef calls this a spicy citrus scent - but I feel like it is closer to a spicy green woody gourmand to be honest. It is a fabulous creation. Sillage is quite strong right away but dries down to a strong medium. Longevity is nice, I get over 7 hours out of this.

Tea is the most common warm drink in my middle eastern country.not green tea, but black tea which we call it chaie here. almost everyday I drink a cup of warm black tea sweetened by something we call "Nabat" which looks like golden crystals and is sweeter than sugar. I usually add a few drops of lime and some spices to my tea too. Smelling Ananda Chai is just like sitting on my favorite coach,enjoying the amazing scent of my tea while drinking it and feeling safe and comfortable. I enjoy it's deep honey-like sweetness which doesn't feel cloying thanks to the freshness of citrus notes.and there's the right amount of spices in it. even before checking the notes list I could tell there's ylang ylang and amber in this perfume and the combination of these two notes gives Ananda Chai a golden vibe. charming,comforting, precious and sophisticated.I can detect a hint of something powdery in it too. Something in Ananda Chai reminds me of some classics like Cabotine Gres.ofcourse this one is less floral but I feel they share a DNA of ambery sweetness blended with green, spicy notes.it also has some similarities with it's sister, Ananda Black but I prefer Chai as it's more rounded and has some freshness Longevity and sillage are both very good. right now I have a sample of it but I'd be very happy if I had a full bottle

Ohhhh...it is an underrated beauty in the market!!! For me the niche love started with M.Micallef Pure EXtreme, this was the first parfume what I tried in niche style. It was one year ago...Then I bought at lest 60 niche parfume but I did'nt get M.Micallef. But today I get a little sample - this was Ananda Tchai- and this is love at first sniff- I wanted immediately a whole big bottle! There are everything in it, what I'have ever searching for in a parfume...Sweet,spicey, a little citrusy- and last long time with strong sillage. Beautifula feminine parfum. Better than my Amouages, my Marlys, My Malles, my Initios, my Royal Crowns, my Kurkdjians...It it perfect for me- this is the scent I'have ever wanted!!! This is an absolute masterpiece of a fragrance. The tea note is made just right with spices and beautiful floral notes surrounding it. It’s intense yet fresh and anything but cloying. I bought this on the second hand market out of curiosity and it’s one of the best purchases I have made lately. It holds onto my skin until the next day without becoming overwhelming or suffocating. It’s beautiful and elegant. A perfect fragrance for the any weather and definitely more of an evening scent.

I received a sample of this fragrance a few days ago and I have to say that I love it. As a man, I have no probklem wearing this wonderful perfume. I would love to smell it on a woman, but I think it smells great on me as well. It lasts and projects and has excellent sillage.
