Mischief

this is a thoroughly modern take on the Grand White Bouquet of years past. It takes the idea of the beautiful sweet, luscious, white flower dominant fragrance and makes it au courant. I found myself finding similarities to many classic scents, but there was "something" in this which kept it from feeling dated. I adore all types of "white bouquet" types of fragrances; from the super sweet Fracas all the way to the aldehyde rich No 22, I can't get enough of them. But I feel this is a scent which will find many admirers regardless of which fragrance family is a preferred one. The simple reason; the white flowers add their sweetness, but they do not dominate, nor overpower everything else in the composition. The freshness and clean feeling Mischief leaves, will garner so many fans. I do hope people will give this one a try, it is sure to become a beloved scent.

This is a really nice, slightly sweet (but not TOO sweet) big white floral. I get mostly jasmine and gardenia from it.

I am trying a sample of Mischief right now, and this is a pretty, rose-centered floral scent over a modern musk. As it dries down, the rose recedes a bit and now the flowers are more of a bouquet. Despite the name "Mischief", it smells very composed and poised; even formal. The musk and amber are light and sheer, vs dense or heavy. Mischief reminds me of Lauder's classic "Beautiful" with a modern musk holding the flowers together. Those that enjoy EL's Beautiful, or the modern floral musks like SJP Lovely, would probably really enjoy Mischief.

Love this! Beautifully playful and yet restrained and poised at the same time. Fresh from the florist's fridge pink rose, mixed with jasmine, amber, a clean patchouli and a base of musk. This rose is well done, it is not the least bit sour or overly heady as some can be. These is something sparkling in this fragrance and the overall effect is like a coy smile from a normally shy girl. I may be reaching for my wallet soon and ordering this one: it makes me feel happy

I get white flowers, fruit and a little musk here. The patchouli is quiet and not a prominent note, to my nose. It does remind me of original Beautiful, but Mischief is lighter and more "pretty" than "beautiful." Mischief is by no means a bombshell fragrance, but it is a bit coy, gently provacative and knowing. It reminds me of Scott Turow's description of what the femme fatale/bombshell lawyer, Carolyn Polhemus wore that drove Rusty crazy.

This is a well done fruity-floral but it is just a little too sweet for my tastes. It takes a long time for the raspberry to dry down and by that point it is a very muted floral. I get no amber or patchouli at all.
