I got this because I'm a huge gourmand lover and everyone and their mama said this smelled like fresh butter cookies. I don't really get that at all, much to my disappointment. This feels like smoky, woody Vanilla with some rose nuances. I don't get the basil much and I was initially afraid that I'd hate that note with all the others. It gives a bit of complexity and fresh herbaceousness so this won't be headache inducing. This is sweet, cozy, warm and comforting. It's pretty generic for an arabian scent and it honestly smells like a less well blended version of Emir Oud and Vanille by Paris corner with the caveat of it having a jammy, red rose rather than a white floral. None the less it's different enough to have it as it's one thing. The Amber has a honeyed nuance but it's by no means sugary or cloying. I have paired it with: Lattafa: Eclaire, Nebras Ansaam Gold, Tharwah Gold and Paris Corner Noir d'Arabie. This reads pretty Unisex to me but might lean more feminine on others

Just received this as a blind buy and it's love at first sniff. ❤️ I can smell something like baked sugar coated olibanum/resins (if that was possible!!). It's cosy, deep, warm, rather sweet, but not cloying, and a tad bit gourmand-ish, maybe due to the light smokiness. I don't know why it feels so nostalgic to me, I think I know this smell. I can see the resemblance to raghba (which I also love), but they're definitely not identical. The bottle is plain, which I prefer and the colour of it suits the scent. Unisex, just ever so slightly on to the feminine side, but I'd love smelling it on my man. I can't comment on the longevity just yet, but the sillage is quite good.

I own Vertus Vanilla Oud and sold it real quick. This reminds me of that one but a better version. And it is much cheaper. Vertus had an apple cider vinegar thing going on that ruined it for me. This one has a little something tangy but not quite vinegar. I much prefer this and love layering with even sweeter vanillas too.

This is nice! On my skin it's very amber/basil-y at the beginning, and then settles down to a cozy amber. I don't get much oud from this at all. It's very agreeable and can be worn pretty much anywhere.

I smell a lot of basil and next to no vanilla, so it's a very incense-y yet basil-y perfume, weird and strangely churchy.

Bought it 2 years ago...first day smell was disgusting. Let it sit for a year...dug it out to try again...still disgusting. Let it mature for another year...STILL disgusting. I give up. Decluttering.

Exact dupe of "Kalemat Black". Redundant in my collection and it has a clovey/licorice undertone to it that I cannot get with.

I got this for my friend for her birthday! She fell in love with it! We got to smell it and i must say in the realm of middle eastern cheapies, this is one that doesn’t get talked about and should! It’s earthy yet the vanillic quality of the fragrance is sublime! I can imagine after a month or two of maceration it’ll be fantastic in the fall/winter!

No reviews? This seems to me a fantasy oud scent from the Middle East. It smells of vanilla and synthetic oud, nicer and sweeter than Franck Olivier’s Vanilla Oud. My first impression was chemical warfare, but it’s growing on me.
