Pétales de Roses Blanches

Finally a rose scent that does not give me headache. Usually, rose scents are too sweet or too fruity, but not this one. Airy, green, fresh. Is like you just step out of the shower, on a bright and sunny summer morning, after it rained all night. Everything is luminous and wet, and that green wet scent is all around you. The roses here are wet and green, mixed with the airy touch of the peonies. The melon is just there to give the water feeling, so is not fruity. The sandalwood and the musk are VERY VERY VERY light. Just there to keep it from being boring, giving a 'warm skin' background feeling. Honestly, i LOVE it. Unfortunately, is light. Does not project or stays a lot in my skin, just enough for me to feel good (but with a 300 ml bottle, i don't complain)

At the beginning of 2017, this fragrance has gained new packaging, within the new visual pattern created for this line that offers refills for consumers, following the strategy of conscious consumption promoted by the brand. Different from what I noticed with the fragrance of Tempo Tropical, this one is also sold as Deodorant Fragrance, but it has the Parfum de Toilette inscription in its box (inside this line, only this one and Jasmin d'Egypte have such a nomenclature). Coincidence or not, Pétales de Roses Blanches touches the skin with more power than Tempo Tropical and explores the scent of white roses, following the style of Soliflore fragrances. According to the company, its composition brings an accord of green leaves and melon (on top); white roses, pink roses, lily and peonies (body), over a base of musk, sandalwood, and amber. On my skin, I feel only an explosion of white roses. It seems that I am rubbing the petals on my body, with that floral and raspy content that is very typical of this kind of roses. In fact, for those who do not know, there is much difference in the scent of roses. Those that have pink or tea color, usually result in a youthful and innocent smell. The red ones, darker and velvety, usually result in a metallic and stronger smell. In addition, the type of rose also influences (a lot), but I will not address this subject in this review. The fragrance of Pétales de Roses Blanches carries the scent of roses and gains even more depth with the peony note, which also has a similar nuance to that of roses and is widely used in compositions that need this facet but do not use rose's essential oil. It is compared to the fragrance of Pleasures (Estée Lauder), but I do not know this one, so I can not confirm this resemblance. On my skin, it resulted in a linear fragrance with no surprises, except for the fact that it looks simple and well-built, smelling like a more expensive perfume than it actually costs. I can see clearly the appeal to the female public, especially with women over 50 years of age, who wore numerous fragrances of roses during their youth, and today only find fragrances filled with vanilla. That said, do not be surprised if you buy this fragrance and your mother gets hold of it. To conclude, it is worth saying that Pétales de Roses Blanches exhales well, but the lasting is not so good. Fortunately, the bottle is large and the refill is not so expensive, facilitating reapplications throughout the day, whenever it is necessary to spread the scent of roses along the way. Besides, how could you not like the union of simplicity and elegance?

Petales de Roses Blanches is a very refreshing scent and it's surprisingly long lasting for a fresh fragrance. It last about 7h on my skin and I don't need to apply much to get this result. PRO scent is quite inoffensive, so it's very easy to wear. It gives you a good feeling of cleanness during the day. The first half hour the roses and melon are prominent. Then the composition starts to mellow into something more powdery. It's a good choice for every day use.
