Daring Blue For Life

WOW! What a fragrance! It opens with a crazy grapefruit blast and the scent is really so soothing. We all know that all the Maison Alhambras are short lived, but if the scent is this good, then that is not a big deal. I like the opening so much that the rest doesn't matter to me, although, the dry down is also good. If you are looking for something fresh, clean scent which reminds you of a shiny day with a bit of cold, then just buy it. Blind buy worthy and definitely recommended.

Saw this on clearance for $14°°USD. It's a nice fresh go to for Summer. Especially when it's hot & humid and he needs a quick refresher. For the price, it's a treasure. He loves it. Smells great. Average silage & longevity. Smells like it would have cost about 3 times as much. I can't compare it to D&G. I'm not familiar with that one. But, I could also see a guy in his late teens early 20's liking this. Definitely a great gift idea.

This is a credible dupe of Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Forever Pour Homme through open and heart, but with a twist. What sold me on it was the dry down on a recent skin test. It's a nice grapefruit open that gets very ozonic with the aromatic and watery violet in the heart, before going in the woody soapy direction for the base of patchouli, smoky vetiver, and musk.

Ok, thanks God that I still have two bottles of the original Forever in stock. I bought this out of curiosity and for daily application and I have to admit that it's really very similar but unfortunately it doesn't have the strength and staying power of the original Forever but for $15 it's the bomb. About 20 sprays are needed and you will be ready.

Light Blue Forever is my favorite summer fragrance and it got discontinued. I'm so glad Maison Alhambra cloned this fragrance because it is a perfectly suitable replacement. Longevity and projection is pretty much the same and the smell is near identical. Looking for any differences between them would be splitting hairs at that point.

Despite being a very pleasant summer scent with citruses dominating. Its price is really ridiculous for what it offers. I've never smelled the original but this is excellent. It doesn't feel like a cheap perfume, quite the opposite I would say. Heavy bottle but mediocre sprayer. In the end for 10€ it's not just good it's a gift

OK so I only smelled the original as a sample a while back. Got this for $12 and must say I think it's fantastic for the price. I find it a bit more sweet than I recall the original but it's just great as a cheap, refreshing dumb reach. Looking forward to the summer to wear this one!

This is a pleasant ozonic juicy grapefruit scent but just does not perform on my skin at all unfortunately. Apparently the OG has performance issues as well which is unfortunate. But for the price you can’t go wrong honestly.

Great perfume according to price. Has fresh lemony-orangy smell which smells so good. Recommended. Edit: longevity and sillage is very poor. Only buy if you want to smell good at home during summer season.

Amazing summer fragrance. A steal for $15

Pretty easy to pin this one. Just imagine Zara did a take on LB Forever. Full stop. In fact, if you've ever smelled the original Orange Zest in the green bottle, just take out the ginger and you've pretty much got it. That's literally where the scent takes me. As for the grapefruit accord up top, as others have said, it's not identical to the D&G, but it's damn close. I absolutely get the same Allan's grapefruit slices vibe, and without the sugar to boot. I was concerned it would be too sweet, but no. From what I remember of LBF, this one definitely has less vetiver, MORE violet leaf and always with that mall-like synthetic-ness you'd expect from a budget high-street designer retailer. But it still smells GREAT for something so cheap, and the familiarity is pretty obvious in the opening and mid. It's just the base that's a little different. And yeah, it's a bit weak so you need to double-tap with each spray. Still, the bottle is magnificently heavy for a budget dupe and I still can't tell if the cap is heavy plastic or lightweight metal. lol Might even be better looking that the original tbh. And the sprayer...incredibly small spurts but I'm not complaining. Nothing not to like about this one. If you've already got a collection of Zara freshies from the mid-to-late 2010's, this one will slot in perfectly with them in both quality and scent, as well as trumping them in presentation. For something like $13, it's an EASY win for a grapefruit-violet leaf freshie.

A very fruity (grapefruit), fresh, citrusy, slightly vetivery summer perfume. Now that it has become obvious to everyone that the original Dolce&Gabbana Light Blue Forever has been discontinued and is almost unobtainable, more and more people will try this version. I have had this perfume for about a year now, so the maceration is done. The fragrance notes have become more sophisticated, but the longevity still stops at about 4 hours. In terms of scent, it does a very fair job of matching the original, but falls short in performance. I paid 17 euros for it, which was well worth it. This is a product that you can safely overspray, and then after 2-3 hours, you can do a second round. I managed to get the LB Italian Love version a few months ago, which is weaker than LB Forever, but stronger and better quality than this dupe, although it smells very similar to it. I take the Italian Love for vacation, the Daring Blue I use mainly for sports and/or swimming.

Dolce&Gabbana light blue forever was my favourite summer fragrance. Since it is unfortunately no longer available, I had to look for an alternative. That's how I came across this perfume. Since I have a basis for comparison, I can say that it is a good alternative. It is very close to the original perfume. The difference is that the original Dolce&Gabbana perfume has more of the organic, sour grapefruit note. In the Alhambra perfume, we find a sweeter, creamier grapefruit note. The persistence and projection is not very strong, but neither is the original. To sum up, since the original is no longer available, this could be a very good and cheap alternative. But if someone still has access to the original Light Blue Forever perfume, I would definitely recommend it.

I just got my bottle I think it needs to macerate. Right now, to me it smells like a freshly cut grapefruit and not much else. It becomes a bit creamy smelling on my skin in the mid and dry down.The violet is very subtle as is the patchouli (thankfully as most ME frags I have with that patchouli note seem to be dominated by it reguardless of where they list it in the note breakdown). Its definitely a summer frag, as Daring Blue stays close to the skin on me so if you want a huge sillage bubble you might wanna look elsewhere, work up a sweat, or think about layering with M-01 or M-02 type frags or something Aventis-like that you want to give a grapefruit twist. I give this a 6/10 for now, with hopes it might settle into something beautiful in a few months.

Super citrus forward blue fragrance smells like a super expensive soap extremely clean fresh definitely get the ozonic note almost like being on a mountain with grapefruit trees. Would definitely recommend this it’s very unique compared to other fragrances that are all similar to tygar this is just clean and refreshing in the best way.

Just unboxed my 2026/1 batch. Like many comments below, 10/10 for the scent but the projection is forgettable. I need 10+ sprays to get the same projection as 3 sprays from my Italian Love. But for 13$, I wouldn't mind showering on this. The bottle is pretty heavy though.

I saw a review, and I bought it. Its cheap. Its fresh. It's value for money. It is a must have for regular use. I don't evaluate a perfume by whether it is similar to the original or not, rather I like the scent or not. Its has a likeable performance. I will buy again.

It's a nice grapefruit scent, but sadly the longevity is horrible, I get around an hour from this one...

Side by side with LB Forever the difference in quality is clear to me. This is quite synthetic while the D&G juice is far more organic. It terms of scent profile it's 90% close, and performance and sillage is significantly inferior to the original. You get what you pay for. Really wish they hadn't discontinued Forever or Italian Love. Right now in my country the only options to buy those are eBay sellers naturally hoping to capitalise on the rarity by charging a huge amount (I would do the same to be fair). Is it worth buying as an alternative? If you A: have a nose which easily detects the synthetic nature of cheap perfumes, and B: are into having a collection of moderately or high priced perfumes ...then honestly I would say don't buy it. You would be spending $18 on something that would probably never put on because you would have other higher quality perfumes available to use instead. This is not a substitute for the real thing.

Edited (I was really turned off by this frag at first). New Review: I had just sprayed on this sample 1 day before going to the mall and randomly spraying on Tygar, and I can say that when I sprayed Tygar, I was immediately brought back to this fragrance. I have never believed in maceration; ( it's technically not even the correct term). However, this bottle proved me wrong. When I first sprayed it on even before the previous day I really hated it. It was too aldehydic and too synthetic smelling--and it smelled like laundry detergent. A week or so later and my sample seemed to have smoothed out, and even if Im not necessarily a fan of this DNA type (which is lots of this aroma chemical called methyl pamplemousee) I still don't think this fragrance is as bad as I initially did. New rating, 3/5.

This is a very pleasant scent, but anyone blind buying it in hopes of getting a clone of the now discontinued Light Blue Forever will be sorely disappointed. Light Blue Forever is a robust grapefruit scent through and through, from start to finish, while Daring Blue For Life bears some resemblance to that burst of grapefruit only in the opening. After about 30 minutes it turns into a soap-like citrus-musk scent (emphasis on musk) that is soft and amiable, but lacks the vibrancy and punch of LB Forever. Performance is disappointing, but given the price it's hard to complain. You basically get what you paid for.

Fragrance Journal Entry #108 Wow what an incredible opening! The most ultra realistic grapefruit smell i've ever encountered, theres not much more to this fragrance than that. Sadly this is the worst performing fragrance i've ever worn, 14 sprays and within 30mins a feint skin scent and gone within 1.5 hour. Rating: 7.2/10 Blind Buy Safe? YES

I didn't like it at all. After an initial burst of citrus and fresh, the dry down comes with a strong rotten grapefruit smell that turns into armpit sweat smell. I really wanted to like it, but I can't.

90%-95% similar to Maison Alhambra Sceptre Bronzite (Bvlgari Tygar clone). This Maison Alhambra Daring Blue For Life simply smells like a slightly-realistic rindy grapefruit with lots of fresh-water musk, whereas Maison Alhambra Sceptre Bronzite smells like cordial grapefruit with lots of fresh-water musk and very slightly sweeter. Daring Blue For Life has slightly more character, and Sceptre Bronzite is slightly more mass-appealing. Almost identical though. Their fresh-water musk is the same watery note you find in LV Afternoon Swim and LV L'Immensite. This is purely a summer scent.

Had 4 bottles of dolce gabbana light blue forever and this stuff smells more than 90% similar ....beautiful stuff.. but gutted it doesn't project much..but only paid £18 so definitely worth it.

This perfume is very heavy on ozonic notes with some freshness. Personally, I rate this as 6/10 Not a blind buy safe perfume for fruity smell lovers.
