Dark Door Sport

I honestly wasn't expecting much, but this fragrance has completely exceeded my expectations. It opens with a fresh, clean and masculine scent that instantly gives the impression of someone who's just stepped out of the shower. It's incredibly easy to wear and has that effortless elegance that works in almost any situation, from casual daytime outings to dinner dates. The biggest surprise, however, is the performance. On my skin it lasts for hours, with a very pleasant scent trail that never feels overpowering. I've received an impressive number of compliments while wearing it—especially from women—which is something I can't say about many fragrances, regardless of their price. If you're looking for a fragrance that smells fresh, sophisticated and universally appealing, this is an outstanding choice. It's one of those rare scents that simply makes people want to get closer. For the price, it's an absolute bargain and one of the best discoveries in my collection.

This is better than MA's work on Dark Door Intense, which I thought was pretty dang good. The elemi interaction in the citrus open is really nice. The ginger even sneaks into the late open and holds through the heart alongside cedar and some vetiver. In the base it's herbal with rosemary and lavender, with the lavender taking on an aromatic flair as well. I can't quite get sandalwood, but the cedar and vetiver seem to still come through in the base. Supposedly this is one that gets considerably better longevity through with over a year of maturation, so it'll be primarily a gym fragrance initially but the overall profile is good enough to be elevated to a SOTD once it's in that 4-5 hour range for me.

I think it is quite impressive. Direct comparison with Dior Homme 2020 Dior, it appears this is spot on at first whiff. There is an odd vegetal/or maybe tomato leaf scent that lingers. The dry-down is quite a citrus blast with some pungency, but deviates from DH 2020, as it becomes really citrus and lacks the refinement of DH 2020. Not necessarily similar to DHS 2017. It appears to be an amalgam of sorts. DH 2020, DHS 2021. The initial blast of citrus may induce an allergy. Spray on hand /elbows before neck and chest. Maturation appears not to change anything. Same scent profile after almost 2years. DH 2020 and DHS 2021 still preferable.

This is a 1:1 clone of DHS2021 and also touches Dior Homme 2020 notes in the dry down. It is well done by Maison Alhambra. I have compared the clone with the original perfumes, and this is very close to them; 80-90% in the dry down. The only problem is its performance. 6 hours on skin. Moderate projection is 2-3 hours. I live in a hot humid region, so its projection will be affected by the weather. If anyone wants to get a Dior Homme 2020 Dupe and is unable to find one, this is your best alternative in the current market as there are not many alternatives for that. I am making it my signature scent and wearing it throughout the YEAR

A really, really good clone of Dior Homme Sport 2021 (not the older version). About the same moderate longevity as the original and they are extremely close in smell as well- I'd give this one a 95% similarity after 5 minutes as the opening is pretty rocky/spicy. The strange thing to me is that once it's in the late dry down, it's almost identical to Dior Homme 2020 (not Sport!). I noticed this, then tested it, and for sure it was nearly identical to multiple noses on a test strip. Granted, DH 2020 and DHS 2021 are similar to begin with. For $20 you absolutely cannot go wrong. Highly recommend.

Nose Note #595 Dior Homme 2020 is one of my favourites. This is what I could only hope for. This is close enough to replace the OG for me. Of course it lacks the exact bitterness, the absolutely perfect cedar note and just the umph in general, it's not as long lasting. But I have to say - the bitterness, the cedar - it's all there, it's not like half way or 75%, it's at least 90%. This is enough for me. Waiting for a stronger and better clone, but I've found this for $13 vs Dior Homme 2020 for $200. You know what I mean? 9.8/10, one of the best DNAs ever

This is good! Like surprisingly good for the price tag. The bitter citrus here smells fantastic, it has a classic vibe, fresh out the shower barbershop type of scent. This is mass appealing and as versatile as it gets for this scent profile. It reminds me of something like Allure Homme sport Superleggera, but less sweet, more emphasis on the bitter aspects of citrus, and a touch of resinous smokiness that makes this smell elegant, clean, and very masculine. Gatekeep worthy for sure. Smells way more expensive than what it is.

I just got this one today from Jomashop. It definitely smells fresh citrus with green-wood notes and some floral notes. . It gives me Issey Miyake vibes which I love. It also smells very similar to Naples by Gallivant which I owned. I don’t think it smells identical to Dior Homme Sport but it shares a lot of similarities. Performance should be average for this one. Safe blind buy. 4.5/5

A great alternative for DHS 2021 and DH 2020, opening it’s a bit synthetic but the next 5 minutes start becoming too similar to both. In the dry down is less sweet than DHS but still so close (90% imo), and performance it’s good, not as much as the OG But easily 6-7 hours on my skin. Great summer scent and versatile, solid 9/10

I bought 2020 homme and 2021 sport before I got this. I was just curious how it compared. Dark door honestly smells better to me.reminds me more of what the original dior hommes smelt like before the were reformulated. I can guarantee the performance won't touch the originals.

I've never smelt dior homme sport but this is a very nice fragrance. Very fresh and classy smelling. Moderate longevity and pretty good sillage. For 15 bucks you can't go wrong with this. 8.5/10.

Great smelling perfume for the price ($20) but the performance is poor I layer it with lattafa Asad and they go really good together because they both smell like lemon coca cola to me

Update: it’s been almost two months and all I can say is that smells 95% close to the original but projection is below average and longevity is about 3-5 hours. Not bad for under $20

This is 1:1 Dior Homme Sport dupe but initially it is not as strong because it has to macerate like most of Middle East brands. Good fresh woody citrus fits almost every occasion.

This is a really good fragrance, not too synthetic neither natural, i don’t know how the original smells but this is a solid one, performance is above average

Why does it smells like Old spice orginal to me but fresher and uplifting. Moderate performance.

I am surprised how good this is as a stand alone freshie! The woody and deeper notes are more upfront than the og so it feels not quite the same till you get to the mid and dry down. Not as bright as the og in the opening which lets this be a great transitional fragrance to and from summer. However I do feel this is very good for the winter too because of these woody deeper notes and it’s strong enough to hold up in colder temps. Now all that being said and I do love this fragrance(own both and 2020 EDT, I have issues,lol... this is not the same quality which is obvious and probably didn’t need to say that. For comparison sake I own a Jetta R Line with turbo charger. Both BMW and Mercedes makes a similar size and style sports car. This is the Jetta and the Dior’s are Mercedes, simply put. I love my Jetta.

#972 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Smells more Afnan "Turathi Blue" to me than Dior. The synthetic bergamot oil they used here triggers a sneezing fit for me. Given fifteen minutes it improves but never smells attractive. I won't wear this. It's going in the men's shelter Christmas donation box. I only paid $14 for it, so not a tragedy.

This is definitely an all season scent. It has that peppery and lemon / citrus notes. Doesn’t last long so you can overspray. Lowkey has a profile that reminds me of drakar noir mixed with Burberry and YSL. It’s nice for the price.

This is DHS on a budget. They pretty much nailed the scent. The performance is a little lackluster. But for the price it’s worth it. You can overspray this one and not guilty.

Smells great, performance not so great. But it’s a $15 fragrance, in this case you get what you pay for. Being so cheap, over spray and reapply. Not a big deal.

An old-school classy and mature masculine scent, smells like a 40+ year old man. It does not smell cheap at all. It is citrusy, woody, sharp, and aromatic. This does not smell completely fresh & clean. It has that "rugged", "dirty", "macho" aspects to it. This is not versatile in my opinion. I'd strictly wear this for when I'm in a "position of power" or when I have to be assertive, serious, or bossy. This is okay when worn in the office or in any business settings. The smell of this fragrance just gives off a serious, mature, assertive, "business-only" kind of man "vibe". Not safe-to-wear, this is a polarizing scent; I had a few reactions against this fragrance with comments that it smells like an "old man" in a bad kind of way. I can't imagine wearing this for casual hangouts with friends, and definitely never wearing this in date nights. Although it's called "Dark Door Sport", this does not smell sporty enough to be worn at the gym. Can be worn daytime & nighttime. Suitable for spring and summer. Lasts a total of 6-7 hours on me. 3-4 feet projection for 1-2 hours. Not my type of fragrance, to be honest.

The fragrantica notes are wrong and correlate more to the original DHS, the listed notes for this fragrance on other sites selling it are the same notes as DHS 2021. I bought a bottle of this expecting it to be close to the original DHS (which I haven't tried), but I think it's a clone of DHS 2021. I have the authentic DHS 2021, and this fragrance does smell close to it, maybe 80% in the opening and 90% in the dry down, but I think DHS 2021 has more depth and complexity like someone else mentioned in the comments. DHS 2021 is also sharper, more aldehydic, more lemoney, and overall more concentrated/stronger. This is not a bad replacement if you're on a budget and its selling for 25 USD or so. But the real deal is better. Update: There is an orange note that smells like old oranges about to go bad, I've revised my inital similarity above to 80% similar in the opening and 90% in the dry down (my intitial opinion was higher). Performance is also lacking.

Hmmm tried this initially, found it initially pretty decent on the open. Citrus is slightly sharp, but it's nice with the cedar in the first hour or so, which is quite nice and what i recall DHS being like. Problem I have is after the dry down it's way over powered with ginger. I Let it sit for two weeks and seems to have not changed so far. Going to let it sit for another month or so and hope it changes. Feeling slightly pessimistic since I have the Immortal (Immortel?) LV clone from Maison Alhambra and the ginger has not calmed down in that after over 6 months. If you enjoy ginger you'd probably love both!

I got this because I love the DNA of the Dior Homme line (2020, Intense, Sport) and I wanted a cheap work frag that would be an occasional substitute for my good stuff. I have some experience with Maison Alhambra and love most of their stuff. It is undeniably nice for the price, however, it smells much cheaper doesn’t really hold up to the original influences. Like if Dior Homme Sport was a convertible Alfa Romeo, Dark Door Sport is the same car at a junkyard on concrete blocks with the engine and doors removed.

This one smelled like an old man, it was off-putting, so I ended up not using it for a long time. Today, I spontaneously decided to layer this with Ard Al Zaafaran I Am The King, and the result is spectacular. I was thinking maybe 2 Dior clones (Sauvage and Homme Sport) would complement one another. And surprisingly they do complement one another. Dark Door Sport's dryness, herbal feel, and old man vibe balances out the sweetness and youthfulness of I Am The King. Try this layering combo out!

About 85% DHS 2021, but about 65% of the quality. It does smell a bit cheap, and for the price you are getting what you pay for. It is not a bad fragrance, but just a lowered standards one. It is darker and old school cologne, and less airy, fun, and uplifting. Seems more fitting for going out to flirt with women in bars in the business district rather than for statement making, office wearing, or concert going. I probably won’t keep it because it is just not inspiring enough or close enough.

it has some funky citruses, like a ripe sweet zesty lemon which is about to turn sour, definitely tickling my nose which is probably good because it captures attention. something woody and slightly powdery in there too. overall it is an interesting scent - even though it is citrus dominant there are other things which make it quite unusual. it is not your generic citrus-, blue-, or marine- freshy. not a safe blind buy though. also, as usual with Al Hambra, the performance is meh.

The opening is not smooth, and it is all over the place, but after it settles down, the citrus and aldehydes with the elemi and woody facets remind you of DHS. I reapply throughout the day because the projection and longevity are worse than DHS. I have revisited it after six months, and nothing has changed. Overall, It is an inexpensive clone that can scratch the itch of Dior Homme Sport 2021.

This really is just okay. It smells okay and it last an okay time. Nothing complex or exciting, good for layering. I would not rebuy

This brand offers the same scent as the original perfume, but with less performance. If you want a 100ml sample, buy this brand, or else don't waste your money. Overall, the scent of this perfume is very beautiful, but it only lasted for three hours, maybe less, on me. And even though I spray it a lot, it doesn't linger long.

Smells like DHS like 95% the only problem is it only lasts 1 hr. I will never buy it again.

This is a bang for your buck; for 12 euros you get a full 100 mL gym perfume that lasts for 4-5 hours straight. Summer freshie and more aromatic than I expected. Not overly citrussy after a while, but you can always reapply as needed. I don't get buying Dior Homme Sport when you have this or Terre d'Hermès Eau Givrée for half the price. Maison Alhambra keeps imitating so well both designers and niche fragrances, and this is a clear example of it. Price: 12€, 100 mL Rate: 6/10

I thought this was supposed to dupe Dior Homme Cologne, but turned out to be Dior Homme Sport Its not as fresh as I would think based on the listed notes, its more aromatic than fresh. Its a light perfume, but not fresh. I cant remember the resemblance to the original but the scent is very familiar, 100s smell like it. The quality is good, with Maison’s perfumes that not always the case, but this is good. Below average perfume, nothing special, and not that fresh and uplifting, just good for casual use. Not bad but I woudn’t recommend, very boring and bland 4.25/10

Right out the bottle this smells 98% almost 1:1 similar to Home Sport. The trade off is having to reapply every 2-3 hours which can be a good thing if you're just going to the grocery store and going back home. But I know most people here can attest that this is the closest you're ever gonna get to Dior Homme Sport. The only difference is that this is not as bright but everything else is there

Has a bit of vintage barbershop vibe with modern ingredients. Supposedly a summer freshie but for me it works much better in cold weather. Even winter. Maybe because of the candied ginger note. Longevity is also better in winter with up to 4-5 hours as opposed to just a few in summer. The bottle is an impressive heavy brick of glass.

I happened to smell this in nearby brick and mortar while I was picking up some grocery. This is a 2021 Sport clone; more woodsy, not powdery at all. I think it's a good alternative for 2021 Sport. Not its previous iteration.

Guys i want to ask is this really worth buying? How's the quality of the scent? I own DHS 2021 i really need a cheaper alternative cause i really love the DHS scent.
