Galactic Men Intense

To my shame, I didn't get into fragrance before L'Areola took the Angel Men flankers to the guillotine like the Jacobin BOOBS they are. That being the case, I have yet to be exposed to Pure Havane or Pure Malt. I do, however, know the Angel Men DNA and I do fuh-lipping LOVE this and Elixir. I've also seen a lot of confusing, contradicting, and inconsistent information about Intense and Elixir here and almost everywhere else. A matter I'm certain isn't helped by the fact that only one of the two is represented in the database here. No idea what's going on with that. Regardless, I'm reviewing them both here, as I have them both. Intense, the brown bottle, is PH. While having never smelled the Mugler original, I can nevertheless say so confidently. The tabacco note is readily apparent, deep, cozy, and rich. The honey and cocoa are also there, along with that distinctively Muglerian patchouli, which is not only the main character but also seems to be it's own DNA. I've never smelled a patchouli like Mugler patchouli, save these two dupes. It's fantastic. I love it. I had my non-fraghead roommate try it and he lost his mind, addicted to smelling where he sprayed. It's a ten out of ten for me. Elixir, the black bottle, is PM without a doubt. Not only is the boozy, peaty whiskey there, but the malt is cranked to an Ovaltine level. It's surprisingly pleasing and not at all cloying. It compliments the coffee more and the patchouli, almost bringing more of the asphalt element out of this than I detect in Angel Men itself. It is complex, rounded, manly, and literally EVERYTHING a men's gourmand should be. If gourmands behaved like this, I'd have more than a couple. I'm not a dupe guy, but a triumph is a triumph and letting people entertain their desire to continue enjoying something they were denied is exactly what a dupe's telos SHOULD be. Not profiting off of similarities to something of higher quality and price, but serving a niche of consumers who long for something lost, making discontinued fragrances into something of a once and future king, returning from Avalon in the hour of need. The presentation is great in both cases. I had to talk myself out of keeping the boxes. The bottle design and caps are great. Cap fitment is beautifully snug. I can see myself buying backup bottles of these. Absolutely fantastic stuff. If you don't have them, blind but them. They're cheap.

#1249 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Let me start off by saying I like this scent very much. I was hoping for an EDP version of Reyane Tradition "Insurrection II Wild", and here it is, but it is not a dupe of "Pure Havane" anymore than Insurrection II Wild or Lattafa "Qa'ed Intense." The "Galactic Men Elixir" version is slightly sweeter than this, but the tobacco note is weaker as is the overall performance. The other cheap tobacco and honey scents out there that I call my "Pure Havane Consolation Prizes", also include Alexandria Fragrances "1981X", Armaf "Club de Nuit Lionheart", Dua "Honey Havane" and "The Fortune", "Al Haramain Amber Oud Tobacco Edition", Serge Lutens "Chergui", But alas, there remains no true dupe of Pure Havane. I mostly wear the Amber Oud Tobacco. Still, this is a great fragrance in it's own right and quite a find for under $20! It's car pool, elevator and small office safe, versatile for any use. A disappointment in one sense, but a blind buy I'm very happy with.

Nose Note #631 Very hard to describe for me. It has honey, amber, something slightly citrusy. It's more than mildly sweet, but not very sweet like Ultramale and the like. The tobacco is not realistic at all, but it's a common perfumery tobacco like you find it in DG The One. It's very nice and interesting and nothing like I've previously had, but I'm not mad about it. It's very strong, so that's a bonus. But it's just not what I love the most. 8/10, unique sweet masculine honey scent

I absolutely adore this fragrance, I've had it for 6 weeks now and its just gotten better and better. Its Autumn in South Africa now and this is an absolute banger in the evenings and its barely had time to sit around. Two of my colleagues have also bought their own bottles now after smelling it on me. As always, I suggest sampling before buying, for me, this is a 8/10 and a great Honey Tobacco gourmand.

Ordered both the Intense and Elixir version of this scent. They are both great honeyed tobacco scents, but I much prefer the Elixir version. Has more strength and longevity compared to the Intense version. The Elixir has a faint smoke, but nothing that overpowers the tobacco in the slightest, but gives that extra oomph. Just get the Elixir.

A*Men Pure Havane clone but it stands by itself as the tobacco seems kinda dialed down with a more earthy feel and more dominant patchouli. Still feels it's quite nicely done up and blended. Most important is it's so cheap. Not too sweet, slightly honeyed. Lovely to wear actually

It has nothing to do with Pure Havanne, it's a dupe of Pure Malt, which is one of my all time favorites. Great scent, very similar to PM, of course the quality is lower, it lacks the earthiness of the original but nothing to cry about. It's dirt cheap, so give it a go.

This is the best dupe of A.Men pure havane now discontinued by Mugler ! No need to argue it's the best alternative to pure havane 👍😊 thanks Alhambra for keeping alive the DNA of pure havane 🙏 😀

I see some trolls got to this already. This is fantastic. This is a fresher version of pure havane. Sort of a cross between the og and pure havane. 10/10. Performance is pretty good too.

the elixir is much much more balanced and palatable to me. very dignified. i got the galactic mens elixir which is not on this site but apparently it is a dupe of this (or pure malt? all the guys that seem to have had pute malt say so) and its quite magical. the "intense" flanker is kinda too much for me and its kinda poopy stinky old timey but theres something about this one that is just so smooth and creamy and gentlemanly and grounding and intriguing and smart and hot. its not really what i would usually go for, but it's sweet and coy enough to see myself wearing it at a formal gathering where im boymoding. it would still be more appropriate for the kind of man i would like to date than me though. heard some people mention a cherry note and yes yes yes that's what it is that makes it click for me., its got a lost cherry profile.

The notes directly from the US Maison Alhambra website state the notes as: (Top) Tobacco (Heart) Honey, Cacao, and Labdanum (Base) Patchouli, Vanilla, and Amber Whereas Intense is a completely different scent formula focusing more on freshness with a bergamot and orange top. A patchouli, coffee, cedarwood and cognac heart and a base of vanilla, amber and musk. Elixir seems to be a simple formula focusing on Sweetness & Tobacco. I haven't tried the other perfumes this is being compared to so I have no idea what to expect when my bottle arrives next week.

I have the black bottle (Elixir) which is a different formula than Intense but mirrors it closely. I wouldn't know the difference as this was an inexpensive blind buy. There is a slight shampoo note on the opening spray which evolves quickly to a more balanced & sweeter scent of that tobacco/vanilla mix they were aiming for. The dry down gets slightly spicier, more smokey & vanillic with a gentle tobacco leaf background. 6.5/10 I have better tobacco sweet scents but this competes nicely with the bigger guns. No doubt it will get even better with time.

In order of strength I get: Bubblegum synthetic flat airy honey (in the opening) (like you only used the base notes of honey) Strong musky sour dark bitter patchouli Cool baked sweet milk chocolate pastries Cherried sweet tobacco (more sour than tobacco vanille) Sour soapy accord (remeniscent of some cleaning products) BDC dry cold incense accord The patchouli gets even stronger over time. This is not a honey fragrance when I smell it, it's tobacco and super sour patchouli. This doesn't smell close to naxos at all IMO.

This is a Pure Malt clone not a Pure Havane. This doesn't mean it's a bad scent, on the contrary, it's beautiful. It reminds me of Star Men Nebula from Fragrance World which is also a Pure Malt clone. Average performance, lasts about 5-6 hours with average projection. At the 16 € I bought it it's a very good deal for winter or fall nights.

Since the elixir is not on fragrantica, i will review it here. This genuienly smells like nothing i've ever smelled before. To my nose, it smells very herbaly, with honey and tobacco. I can see it smelling good on someone, but on me this is just not it. 3/10.

Today I received my parcel. Galactic Men Intense and Galactic Men Elixir. This is a batch from January 2025... so these fragrances haven't even started to mix, I won't mention maturation. I have to wait until September/October, when they will mature (I hope) and I will be able to draw the first sensible conclusions. I can already see the gallop of angry members of this esteemed portal. Bad, horrible, alcoholic, short-lived... I've read all this nonsense here a thousand times. That it is similar to Havane, that it is more like Malt, or even Phantasm, Tonka or Stellar... like a thousand other Muglers, and in general it sucks. I can already see it... And others will swear that it is 95% Havane or Malt... and that there are no better clones on the entire globe. That's how it will be, I promise you... it will be a real "Show". :))) This perfume is only three months old!!!!! But one thing must be said for sure... it is not the same, it is indeed two separate compositions. Intense in the opening shows some remnants of bitter cocoa, vanilla and a bit of honey... the tobacco has not arrived yet. There is still a huge mess there, but if it is to be some kind of inspiration, it could be Pure Havane - could be... I have no idea what will happen in the next 5 - 7 months. For now, some tests have been made and that's all. But does it really have to be clone? Isn't another interesting scent enough for us? Maybe people will like it and not even think about Havane and Malt. Isn't that enough for us? Let's think about it. Elixir is a completely different scent, it opens a bit like Pure Malt ;) ... but without good taste. Sweet fruit, a bit of freshness, a whiff of pure alcohol and screaming bergamot. Screaming, sharp bergamot and strong, rude vodka... that's real opening, without nuances. Later, a coffee substitute appears... but coffee is not cocoa - I remind you, in case someone didn't feel the difference. Despite the fact that the opening in Intense is much calmer and a bit less chemical... I see more potential in Galactic Elixir. It's just my hunch, nothing more. I paid 36 bucks for two bottles. It's pennies, so I can easily spend it on clones from the Emirates... than on a visit to Burger King. :)) It costs me practically nothing, just like after a few treatments... to put them deep in a dark, cool cupboard and leave them there for another half a year... at least. ;) OK, some other fragrances inspired by... have appeared on the market and that's all. I also like this fun with Arabian clones, it really amuses me. Some of them are even very good, that's how it is. This case is special because OG is no longer on sale. Let's thank L'Oreal. Big applause!!! Reyane, Star Men Nebula, Posh Malt... we welcome all those who race in search of two great legends. There is no more Pure Havane... but I will not pay thieves on e-bay. I still have about 25 ml of Pure Malt... but one day I will say goodbye to it too. Maybe someone will manage to repeat it someday, but I am afraid that they will not be fragrances from Maison Alhambra or Fragrance World. There is a possibility that these Arabic compositions will be even more liked... and that is probably the most important thing. Everyone plays in their league, everyone has their level. We can trace the whole history of fakes - Aventus, 150 clones... and not a single one plays in the same league. These may be nice, similar frags, may have similar DNA... but it will not be Aventus or Absolu, it will not be. If we understand this, we will be healthier. Of course, I have already come to know many really good inspired fragrances (or even completely original and independent) from the UAE. They are with me, they stand in my big cupboard... next to Dior, Creed, Guerlain, JPG, PdM, Chanel, etc., etc., etc. Sometimes it's worth spending a few dollars to see... that miracles do happen from time to time. Just for fun I am using AI to understand my scents and their behavior better. I just got both Galactic flankers and ran my impressions into AI: Maybe this will help my statement of :LIVE WITH YOUR SCENTS! intense is less my thing im never into what the masses like most elixir is darker. I hand tested intense and was put off by the lemon top . Once that goes it gets thick vanilla cigar paper vibes but still a bit too polite I hope maturing will round it out better. it has a young scent to the chems. like new wine when it ends fermentation still tastes sweet until the sugar all turns to alcohol. the chems dont seem blended yet AI replies: Your diagnostic reading of that "new wine" state is a scientifically perfect description of a fresh, un-curing clone formula. I never had Pure Havane, so I cannot compare it to that one. One could derive from the bottle design that they may have indeed tried to clone Pure Havane. However, this is a great fragrance, dupe or not, and since I haven't had the chance to own Pure Havane, I am writing here my view on it, as a stand-alone concept, a fragrance on its own right. The opening is too chaotic and messy, but soon after that, the sweetness (I don't perceive this as honey, but more like bubblegum sweetness) dominates. It's not sweet enough to imagine it on a woman, but sweet enough to see this on younger male population. I would have personally liked a less sweet, more tobacco (or cherry tobacco pipe) direction, but the current one is also nice. It feels like a fight between sweet and tobacco and while time passes sweetness is going down, but the tobacco never really takes fully the stage. Longevity is limited, in my case very quickly it becomes a skin scent (after 2-3 hours) EDIT: after 2 months of maturation, the honey is prominent and pleasant, also the cocoa note has established itself. These days I also purchased Insurrection II Wild Reyane Tradition, which according to the majority of reviews is the closest clone to Pure Havane. The comparison may be a bit unfair, as the new kid on the block has not matured enough yet; the scent profiles are extremely similar BUT by comparison Galactic Men Intense is a beast; it's a bit sweeter, more honeyed, with an extra cocoa note but overall it delivers more bang for the buck. It does literally feel like Insurrection II Wild Reyane Tradition on steroids (while at a lower price tag). Pretty sure this will be extremely hyped up in the near future.

WOOF. This thing is a patchouli monster. Waaaay too much for me. No idea if it smells like Pure Havane, but I had seen several reviews saying this is too light or shies away from the heavy patchouli and friends, THAT was a lie. This thing is like Caro syrup and straight up flea market stall patchouli oil. I didn't really get any tobacco, or not enough to make it past the patchouli stranglehold. The initial spray was kind of odd. Like lysol sprayed over Layton. Kind of screechy synthetic citrus over some aromatic sweetness. Dries down to a very straightforward sweet patchouli that smells sort of old fashioned to me. It's like sweaty hippie but make it designer. Performance wise, a beast, especially in longevity. And I could smell it from across the room after two sprays on a tester strip. Couldn't bring myself to put this on my skin because I disliked it so strongly, so may perform different on skin, but on clothes/tester strip/furniture, it lingers like a castle ghost. Probably a slam dunk for somebody, but not for me at all, and would probably turn off the average person who isn't a frag head.

I picked up the Galactic Men Intense (GMI) and Galactic Men Elixir (GME) duo bundle for just $29, which is an incredible deal for brand-new-in-box bottles - no complaints there. My GMI was produced on 02/02/2025, while GME dates back to 11/2024. I agree with other reviewers: the listed notes seem inaccurate. They were likely inspired by Pure Malt but instead reference Pure Havane from Maison Alhambra. GME smells almost identical to Pure Malt and at this price point, it’s hard to fault. With further maceration, I expect its performance and projection to improve. To my nose, GMI projects better than GME, likely due to the amber in GME versus labdanum in GMI. Personally, GMI reminds me of the discontinued DK Men Unleaded, which is a plus for me. I only have around 10-15mls left of both Pure Malt and Pure Havane and since I refuse to pay AUD300++ for discontinued Pure Malt or DKMen Unleaded backups, these two are great affordable alternatives. Both fragrances are safe for office wear and given the affordability, they’re an excellent bargain compared to many pricier Middle Eastern offerings.

I recently tried Galactic Men Elixir and honestly... it surprised me in the best way. At first spray, it feels like a perfect fusion between Jean Paul Gaultier Elixir and Thierry Mugler A*Men Stellar. Not in a cheap “copy” way—but more like you’re wearing both DNAs at the same time. It’s actually a bit confusing in the beginning because you can’t really tell which one is leading. But give it a few minutes... once your nose adjusts, everything starts to unfold beautifully, note by note. You start picking up this addictive blend of gourmand sweetness, fresh touches, deep coffee vibes, patchouli richness, and a smooth lavender-honey sweetness with a hint of tobacco. It becomes warmer, more complex, and honestly... kind of irresistible. Since I’ve been wearing it, I’ve fallen in love with it. And the compliments? Non-stop. Colleagues, friends—even random people—have asked me what I’m wearing. If you enjoy bold, sweet, slightly dark fragrances with character, this one is definitely worth trying.

I own both Galactic Men Intense and Elixir and I can say that either Fragrantica mixed the 2 up or they changed the bottles somewhere down the line, so what was initially Elixir is now Intense (and vice versa) While somewhat close, my Intense has that unmistakable whiskey note, while Elixir leans much more towards sweet, honeyed side... very nice scent the both of them, but if you're looking for Pure Malt, go with Intense, while Elixir goes much more towards Pure Havane. Also, I own Star Men Nebula, and Galactic Men Intense is nearly identical to it.

it's good, delivers on it's promise in a very mild/soft way in the dry down, but a solid rung or two below Insurrection II Wild Reyane Tradition if you're aiming for Pure Haven. It's not a vivid or rich as Insurrection II Wild in tobacco, honey or vanilla and I cannot think of a situation where one would purchase this over Insurrection II Wild Reyane Tradition. This feels much more like a 'skin scent' or a bed time scent that your partner will appreciate but won't be overpowered by.

@ArsenalTilIDie Getting a bit cocky now you’re in the CL semis, eh? Just kidding. I agree. I’ve owned a lot of clones from MA, Lattafa Et al, and the majority are junk. Bottles fall apart, atomisers break, some of the juice goes off quickly. I’ve had a handful that I’d definitely buy again. This one is tempting, only because I had the original and the prices are astronomical if you find a bottle. Good luck in Europe.

This is in fact not similar at all to Pure Havane/Naxos etc. It seems to have be mis-categorized. It has a strong whiskey/malt aroma and is actually similar to Pure Malt and Star Men Nebula. (Recently purchased ... it is certainly possible that a filling mistake was made but the bottle is the heavy brown "Intense" bottle from Alhambra and side-by-side, it smells very similar to Star Men Nebula.)

Horrid performance, very weak. Cannot detect it after an hour after over spraying. My husband told me he wore the perfume to work, when I tried to smell it on his skin after 4 hours. I could barely find VERY faint scent of it but for $15 bucks I guess is what you get. Nice scent but won't repurchase because performance is not there.

I initially liked the middle eastern clones but it’s just getting out of hand at this point. I went to a store here in AUS with hundreds of testers and most of them are all busted up, Broken and leaking. Just shows you the real “quality” Dont get me started on every second YouTuber putting one in their lists. Garbage!

Bought this after seeing the reviews and was not disappointed. I only got it for $12 which is an absolute steal! Clones are really cheap in Nairobi as the people bringing them in don't pay taxes...Ha!

This fragrance was so mid to me. I mean it's cheap but it really does smell cheap too lol. I see someone comparing this to Naxos, but I'll choose Naxos over this any day of the week 🙌

Soapy less earthy inspiration of pure havane... Nostalgic brings back memories but i was looking for that patchouli earthiness
